We walked over from our hotel and sat at the bar instead of grabbing a table... Had a few drinks and grabbed an appetizer. I was very pleased with the service that we received from the bartenders. We never went without anything that we needed. After our drinks, we ordered wings to go. The wings apparently took like 20 minutes to come out. I didn't notice because I was buzzed, but without us saying anything the bartenders told us that because it was taking so long, they would take a couple of our drinks off our tab. I think that they deserve a 4.5 only because the salsa was terrible. It was sweet which we found weird. The wings were awesome as well.

There aren't a ton of solid places in Knoxville to get wings but Wild Wing is my go to. So delicious but the service is usually hit or miss. The music/football games are usually ridiculously loud but thats kind of what you expect from a wing place. The food makes it worth it. Begin with trio of hot and cold spinach dip and buffalo dip. The hot sauced wings and boneless wings are a great choice. Z loves the slayer wings which are garlicky hot and flavorful. We usually get 10 wings with 2 sauces each and share the steel town spuds- get them with the fries instead of the potato slices. They are literally the best fries on the planet... ranch, cheese, bacon and green onions. DELISH. Also, as another Yelper raved - the bloody mary bar on sunday is so much fun! I can't wait for Wild Wing to open downtown!

I'm always nervous when walking into a Wild Wing Cafe. You either get amazing service and it's brutal. Fortunately, this location served us well when the petite blonde that came to our table knew the entire menu, every beer on tap and was prompt with service and friendliness. If you are fortunate to enjoy the same service there's few better places to come for decent food and ample TVs to watch games. As for the food, it's a grade up from Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters and at par with Twin Peaks. For a sports bar, it's adequate, fun and inviting with an upbeat atmosphere always on tap. You'll find hand-padded burgers, good wings, fresh salads and enough alcohol around for you to get through an entire sporting event.

Great service, good food, and nice entertainment. The list for wing sauces is huge! I couldn't decide between all of the fantastic flavors. Luckily, even though they were slammed, my waitress allowed me to pick a few to sample first. She even gave me her recommendations, which I'm thankful for. I absolutely loved one of them! There was a bit of a wait to sit indoors with the live music, but no wait to enjoy the outside seating area.

Outstanding place to eat a diverse selection of wings and drink beer! Been 3 times and have always stuck to their speciality "wings" and everyone has always been pleased with the good & service!

We love Wild Wings and have been coming there since it has opened! I highly recommend the garlic wings, gold rush, ol Smoky, and the ginger. Their pretzels and dip are amazing as well. I love the house chips but not such a fan of the fries. The desserts are amazing as well! I love that they not only have several tvs but almost always have live entertainment and the covered porch. Its super kid friendly as well. Around the holidays they do events for kids like crafts and free food etc. The staff always exceeds expectation. Check out their website for promotions. Like one day is 1/2 salads, buy one get one on wings another day, etc. Also they almost always have adult drink specials (beer and alcohol). I highly recommend eating here! After all of these years I have never had a bad experience!

3.5 stars. More than OK, but not exactly great enough to merit a 4 from me. So last week, I'd been thinking about wings for three days straight, okay? I was dreaming about wings. Doodling pictures of wings when I was on the phone. Looking up wing recipes, which is HILARIOUS because the last time I tried to deep-fry something, I nearly set my entire apartment complex on fire, so I don't touch hot oil anymore. Anyway, I finally gave in. I was a little nervous because I have very high standards for wings and I didn't want just your average pizza-chain wings, you know? I'd heard good things about Wild Wing Cafe, so I got their 25-wing sampler platter to go. Five flavors (out of the roughly HOJILLION that they have to choose from), some celery, and some extraordinarily watery Ranch sauce. Seriously, before I go into the rest of the review, I have to tell you my main beef with this place is the Ranch sauce: it was thin. So thin. It was like Ranch-flavored kool-aid. So that was useless. After doing some research, I hear the Bleu Cheese dressing is MUCH better, so keep that in mind. Onto the actual wings, though. There's a huge selection of sauces to choose from, which is really tantalizing and that alone will merit a return visit from me, but the ones I chose tasted quite a bit alike, save for some were spicier than others. I got The Slayer, which is very garlicky, The Boss, which is a dry rub wing, Hot, which is self-explanatory, Ragin' Cajun, which is kind of kicky and, well, Cajun, and Lemon Pepper. They were all fairly tasty but they also all tasted kind of the same! Maybe it's because the flavors mingled too much by the time I got home? I don't know. I knew which one was The Boss and which one was Lemon Pepper, but that's about it. The others just didn't have varied enough tastes to fully satisfy me - they all just seemed kind of spicy. I mean, they were *good*, don't get me wrong, but the flavors weren't very distinguishable. Other than that, the wings themselves were way better than pizza chain wings. They were crispy, loaded with sauce, and just the right amount of greasy. Also, I went through almost all of the 25 wings that evening. I'm not sure why I'm mentioning this in a public forum because it'll surely come back to shame me. But I did. Anyway, I'll give this place another try for sure. It could be that I chose the wrong combination of flavors, could be they're just better in-house (which is more likely), but either way, there were more pros than cons so I'll be back.

So BLUF.... 1. BLOODY MARY BAR on Sundays!!!!!!! You get a glass w/ some ice and vodka and you get to go up and choose the spiciness of your tomato juice, whether want pickles, or pickled okra or celery, horseradish, worchestershire, bacon salt, hot pepper oils...on and on... Do it!! 2. And of course the wings! They are cooked perfectly crunchy, NOT over-sauced. I haven't had a bad flavor yet and I think we've had 18 different flavors at this point. 3. it is a really slow wait. Only big down side to me. The food and drinks are perfect but...it can take an unusually long amount of time to get your food or refills. That is really the only down side. It may be a big deal to some people, but I have a lot of patience when I know the Garlic Slayer wings are on their way....

If you're hankerin' for chicken wings with just about any imagineable sauce in this universe, Wild Wing Cafe is your kind of place. Located in a secluded, out-of-the-way place behind several chain hotels (I lived here for almost three years, and only just saw it for the first time a few months ago) it's hidden locale does not seem to be a hinderance because since my discovery of this place, it has always been packed solid and it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day or night. Parking is at a premium; with a circular drive parking pattern and no real lot per se, if you don't grab a close parking spots, you may end up walking about two blocks, But, as long as the weather is good, you can argue that you're working up an appetite and then after dinner, you can argue that you're walking it off! It was a pleasant early evening, so I opted to sit outside on the patio that abuts a sizeable lagoon with a large water feature. I am glad that seating was available outdoors, because there were over 300 people inside, participating in a trivia competion and the noise was quite frankly, deafening. My server was great ... knowledgeable, attentive and quite pleasant. I had the 20 piece wing plate with two different sauces, a sweet BBQ and a spicy orange dragon oriental sauce, a side of onion rings, a side of cole slaw, a Bourbon Sour and a diet Coke. The onion rings are by far, THE BEST, that I have ever consumed. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and the sauces on each were superb! The cole slaw was bland and the Bourbon sour was really weak, plus they had just run out of my brand of Bourbon so they had to substitue. On the outside patio is a large full bar and the vibe was upbeat, postive and happening! This is definitely a place for groups and I can guarantee that you'll have a great time!

Every Saturday I stop by Wild Wing to get my Jalepeno Cheddar and The Boss wing fix. It's a staple in my weekend routine. I've also discovered the Steel Town Spuds with homemade potato chips covered in cheese and other goodies. Can't go wrong!

Food was ok. Pleasant location. Waiter couldn't keep our orders straight. Too many waitstaff have the saggy pants underwater showing thing going on. Probably won't go back.

Yes sometimes there is a wait all good things come to those who do wait. Love the outside patio hang out there couple times a month with family friends. The food has always been at the top of my expectations. I have taken people from all around the country to this restaurant they all say the same thing best wings ever. The staff I experience on the patio are always a lot of fun.

I've been to lunch there three times and each experience has had BRUTALLY SLOW service. Most of us only have a certain amount of time to eat when we work so waiting 45 minutes for an order of 10 wings and fries is ridiculous. The only thing that salvages a decent score is the food, it's really good. The menu can be cluttered and hard to sift through but it's tolerable. Speed up the service and streamline the menu - then 5 stars may be a possibility

Wild Wing cafe gets a mixed review from me. I have to go with 3 stars because the food is really good but the service is really bad. Now any wing flavor I've ever had from here has been good. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and got the garlic parmesan wings which are fantastic. I got a cheeseburger and fries and they always cook it to perfection and it tastes amazing and my fiance got a specialty burger they had with the burger between two grilled cheeses and he loved that. When we went there it was not very busy we were in the main dining room and we got seated immediately. It did take at least five minutes for any server to come over to us. When once we got a server she ended up leaving during part of our meal and got somebody else to cover for her which is not very common or professional. They are extremely slow on refills, I basically had to sit and wait to eat my food because my drink was empty. And we saw different servers around and the people who were cleaning the tables were doing their job, we actually had to have one of them get our server for us because she was gone from sight for like 15 minutes. I feel like all of the servers just go in the back and sit and talk. We were probably there for an hour and a half just because every little thing was slow, the appetizer took a while, and then after that it took awhile to get the food, it took awhile to get the refills, it took awhile to get the check so it definitely was not ideal service. Now if this was just a one-time experience with Wild Wing cafe I wouldn't really hold it against them but this is an every time experience when I go to Wild Wing Cafe, at least in the past two years. Therefore we do not go here very much, just make sure you set aside a good amount of time if you're going to go here because its not going to be fast. The vibe that I get from the staff in general is that they are there more to have a good time then to do their jobs. I don't really know what's going on with them or their management and why they have not got this fixed but the feeling you get from the people at least that have waited on us there is that there something off. It just seems like they really do not care about their jobs at all and that's why they are in no rush to have good customer service, which is one of the key factors in making a good experience in a restaurant. Now the only reason I can think of that's it is still this way is because they get enough business and return customers there just because of the food alone and the atmosphere that they don't really have to care about if the service good. Now one thing I cannot speak for is the service at the bars since I have always sat in the dining area.

Meaty wings- sauces are hit and miss- but I'll keep looking!

The wings here were some of the best I've ever had. Lunchtime I hear it's a buffet, which doesn't appeal to me as much as someone preparing my wings and no one else touching them before I get my paws on them. They let the boyfriend taste the sauces to determine where on the scale he could handle -- he's completed Buffalo Wild Wing's Blazing Wing challenge and can have 5-10 Fire in the Hole (Plucker's, a TX chain) - but just a taste of the Braveheart and he nearly lost his tastebuds. So he went down two levels to China Syndrome and had 4-5 cups of sweet tea and a few cups of water to finish 8. Another friend says that Habanero Hots is actually easier to handle than China Syndrome, but we haven't been back to validate. Attempt at your own risk. The jalapeno cheddar was very good (my spiciness tolerance was one wing of this) as was the GARLIC! GARLIC! GARLIC! flavor (not spicy at all.) I'd also say Wild West was a super tasty ranch like flavor that is not over the top salty.

Update to my other review. I originally gave them 3 stars due to the long wait and bad service ( the only redeeming quality was they had bass ale on tap.) After posting that review the owner contacted me and gave me a $20 gift card to try them again. Well I can say it was much better this time. Had the shrimp skewers and a 6 piece order of boneless wings. The service was great, the only downside was that they do not have Bass ale on tap anymore. I

Maybe it was a bad day.. but the food was mediocre! We went for wings...but I left so disappointed!

Dinner specials were too expensive for my taste, so I just stuck with the wings. The only reason I gave this place two stars was because of the wings, which were good and so were their sauces. Two of the ones I enjoyed was the Flaming Parmesan and Ranchilada! Yummm. Their "Braveheart" hot sauce is no joke. It got me all teary-eyed and sniffling - I had two and I couldn't handle anymore. However, what really bothered me was their service. Our server was very nice, had a great, bubbly personality. Mind you, we were one of the three tables in the restaurant at the time. It might have been some of the most terrible service I've ever received. Although our water glasses were never empty, she forgot most of our order. We ordered Steel Town Spuds as an appetizer , 25-wing sampler, two alcoholic drinks, and three separate wings with the Braveheart sauce. We got our Sampler first but she forgot everything else. We asked about it at separate times and it was always, "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to put it in . . ". We had to remind her about the drinks (which she said it was the bar's fault) and the three braveheart wings. We cancelled our order for the Spuds because we were already full. We also had to ask for napkins a few times before she remembered. I'm not the kind of person to complain about the service but as good as the wings were, my experience there was that bad that I don't think I ever want to go back :(

Really disappointing. The place is cute with a little lake outside. Service was slow due to "the kitchen being backed up". When a different server finally brought our food, we asked for silver ware which took another 5 minutes. I had their special salad and it was so salty. We were there an hour and only spent 10 minutes actually eating. Picked at my food then left . . . late the the movie we wanted to see.

Very solid sports bar especially if wings are your things.... fun sports bar with a lively vibe and plenty of helpful staff to get things done. The beer was cold and the wings were prepared exactly the way I ordered them (extra crispy). I hope they consider a stronger Happy Hour with more choices on discounted beers. I'll return on my next trip to town.

Wild Wing is good not great. My favorite item is the Buffalo Chicken dip. I like the sliders too. The wings are just okay. They do come out dry so order extra sauce. The restaurant management may do this on purpose, so they can charge you extra for sauce that should already come on the wings. The patio is nice. The place is always busy.

I just really don't care for this place for dinner. Stick with the lunch all you can eat buffet. Its just too pricey for dinner. They are pretty good wings though. Just too expensive for dinner. Also, during the summer it's kinda wild in the evenings. It is what it is... a good wing place - just do it during lunch. OH, BTW, during lunch - try the soup of the day - really awesome usually. The meat balls are great too (lunch)

Chicken wing, chicken wing. This is the place to get 'em (especially on Monday night where you buy 6 and get 6 free). I have been coming to WWC for about 5 years now. Their staff has changed quite a bit over the years with a few old reliables, but with the changes in staff, there are some inconsistencies in service. That has to be expected. That being said, my family is very easy to get along with and we will joke it up with the servers as much as they joke with us. This makes a great relationship with the staff. In general, the wings are top tier. Only a few times over the years have I ever had to send them back because of overcooking or under saucing. Each time I did, however, the manager came out to speak to me personally and apologize and the refired meal was better than average. There are a zillion TV's all around you, so there isn't a bad seat in the house, BUT, the music playing over the speaker system can be too loud at times (prompting a complaint to the management) and none of the TVs have captioning on, so unless you are some kind of secret agent level lip reader, you won't get much value out of the entertainment unless there is an actual game on. That said, they DO have a stage there and frequently have local live artists entertaining in the later hours. The lunchtime wing buffet has changed a bit and I am not sure if I like the new style or not. The old style was order whatever wing flavor you want, 5 at a time, and you also get grilled cheese sandwich, tater tots, and something else all included. The new style is a hot line where they have 5-6 flavors of their choosing (constantly being replenished for freshness), nacho chips, spinach queso, chili, tater tots, and a soup du jour. I wasn't really disappointed, I'm just used to the old way. Sunday brunch is also fairly new and DEFINITELY worth going. If for nothing else than the amazing DIY Bloody Mary bar. It's got bacon, that's all I'm going to say. You have to come experience it for yourself, truly. Other than the wings, we have some favorites there. The salads are huge and awesome, they have an outstanding Philly, their wraps are very tasty, and we really enjoyed their burgers (watch out, that onion ring has a KICK!). Their fried pickles and fried mushrooms appetizers are worth it. Outside seating is fantastic. Belly up to the Tiki bar and enjoy some libations with your game (TV's under cover). Love the lakeside atmosphere. They actually use the lake occasionally for water sports. Unfortunately, as of this review, DOGS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED at WWC. An unfortunate incident involving a member of the staff has put an end to the doggy patio. Our greyhounds are devastated. All in all a nice sports bar atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating with different attitudes. Very accommodating to large parties. An amazing selection of sauces and good choices for non-wing lovers as well (if there is such a person, I wouldn't date them, but they can come anyway).

The wings here blew pretty much every place I've been to out of the water. The wings themselved were flavorful and juicy. The large (and I mean large) selection of sauces were fantastic while being very diverse. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich, and they bring a bottle of sauce of your choosing so that you can regulate how much or how little BBQ sauce you'd like. The fries were better than most places I've been to as well. Never again will I need to have to go to a place like Buffalo Wild Wings, especially since BWW sauces cake onto the wings if they sit for too long. The only thing I wasn't 100% happy with were the alcohol prices. It seemed just a little steep, but I'd let it slide for how good the food is.

This is a great place to go out for drinks with friends. My work had a few large events here that were nice. I agree with Sarah, they can have some seriously long waits. One time I actually called and tried to make a reservation and they said they couldn't reserve but asked what time we'd be coming so they could try to accommodate us. We waited over an hour. Yeah, so that's the downside. Good deals on booze, fun atmosphere, great outdoor space with a bar overlooking their large pond. Lots of TVs. Great place to watch sports. The food is hit or miss. The wings are great. I have the boneless, usually, and have the Ranchadilla. I once went and didn't want wings and whatever I had was so bad I stopped eating it, which is something I rarely do. It was something basic, as I recall, I believe it was chicken fingers. Bottom line - go for wings and booze and leave it at that.

Busy wing place, with good service. Good value for the money, large portions and yummy options. Disappointed that the two wing flavors I original ordered were sold out... at 19:00. Not quite sure how that can happen, I guess I should have gone earlier.. The battered mushrooms were great, hot and fresh, the big cut fries were delicious, wings were wings...

As a vegetarian, I have had veggie burgers at more places that I can count; with that said the veggie burger here was excellent. As this is primarily a chicken wing place I didn't know what to expect. There is not a huge selection for vegetarians but I was happily impressed with the burger. This is my second visit to this place and my lunch companions on both occasions who had wings seemed to really enjoy them. Average price with great food.

I've been here several times. This place has a good atmosphere, is roomy and has a really nice outdoor seating patio. It's a good place to go if you want to catch a game and they have Sunday ticket. However, it is an expensive place to drink if you don't catch a special. It also seems like the food is headed downhill. The wings are "dry" wings (no sauce) and I don't remember it always being that way. My last order of wings had completely dried out under a heat lamp before it got to me along with my potato skins. The service here is very inconsistent. The last server I had was terrible and messed up half of the table's orders and checks (especially mine) but the time before that the service was outstanding. I see a lot of complaints about wait times but I've never waited here. However, if you go during the summertime the seating capacity almost doubles with the outside patio, but parking is another issue. Be prepared to walk because getting in the parking lot is a luxury!! This is a good place to meet friends for a drink in the afternoon after work but is not a destination spot.

I have now been to Wild Wing's twice, both times were excellent. It has a large menu, it seems to have a little bit of everything, and a huge selection of wings (of course), both times I've ordered the wings, and both times they were delicious! The place is huge, and it always seems to have a large crowd. It has kind of a sports bar vibe. a really nice patio space, sometimes they have live music. It seems like a great place to go hand with a big group of friends, but go early, or expect a LOOOOOONG wait for a table. Parking can be a challenge sometimes as well.
