An excellent place to eat one of the best cooked burgers! The onions rings and beat ever desserts ! A nice atmosphere for both families or a couples night out. Thank you Brian Jones for some of the best cooked dinner in awhile!

This location has the standard Fatz layout and menu. Service was accommodating and they gave us a free appetizer because it was NASCAR raceweek in Bristol. I absolutely love their Calabash chicken, but the new Fatz lighter side menu is just as good. Hands down one of my favorite chains. And the rolls, the rolls are like a dessert. Will certainly return!

The food was great, but the wait was long and the server was less than friendly. The experience is what would be expected from a chain restaurant - especially on a very busy Sunday afternoon. If I were to eat here again I wouldn't go on a Sunday. It seemed the staff were overtired or irritated by previous customers. I always have a hard time deciding what to eat at places like this because there are not specific things on the menu that I find exciting or especially healthy. We had the chicken wrap and the club sandwich. Both were great and someone at our table said the gravy on the chicken and potatoes was awesome. Steamed broccoli was cooked well and not over-seasoned. I've also heard that the peanut butter pie is amazing.

(NOTE: This is really more of a 2 1/2 Star Experience.) Yeah ... well ... I guess they're alright ... for a chain restaurant. I'd just gotten into town after a long drive up from NC to see family. It was time for a late lunch. I was delirious from hunger. Fatz is just a few blocks away. Ma wanted to go there... So in spite of my increasing aversion to chain restaurants .... we went. They had apparently done some updating recently, as the faint scent of fresh paint lingered on the air, the tables were slightly tacky from varnishing, and the walls were still somewhat bare. Good for them! I'm glad they could make the atmosphere more pleasant for their diners. Now, if they could just do something about the food. Ma had their Choose Two lunch special and went with potato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. I had their Choose Three lunch special and went with potato soup, a side Caesar salad, and half a Calabash chicken wrap. The salad was good, in a completely generic / forgettable way. I'm not a fan of serving it in a bowl that had been refrigerated but ... whatever. The soup was really disappointing. I had an issue with the texture. It was almost like a warm potato milkshake, with a sprinkle of cheese, bacon bits, and chives on top, and a cube chunk of potato here and there. It was also pretty bland. It desperately needed some seasoning. The half a Calabash chicken wrap was ... surprisingly bland. I had expected more of a Kick. Even the sauce that accompanied the wrap wasn't as spicy as the waitress "warned" us it would be. The best thing about lunch was the service. The guy who greeted and seated us was friendly, and the waitress-in-training did a fine job in spite of appearing a bit nervous. Nothing was -terrible- but nothing was particularly good. I see no reason to make any special effort to come back.

I'm from Texas and never been to or heard of a Fatz. Your yelp review convinced my wife and I to give it a try. It's delicious. The ribs, the chicken, the Mac and cheese!!! We ordered and split the sampler plate. I recommend you do the same. Try not to fill up on the rolls first. Good luck!

I've been here several times over the past 5 years and the food and service are good. The only complaint I have is that the water tastes very funky. We always get water to drink and we've ALWAYS noticed that the water here has a mildew/moldy flavor. We've mentioned it to the manager twice but he just looks at us like we're nuts. I think they need to clean out their ice maker or something. Other nearby restaurants don't have this water problem so it's something inside their walls. Just sayin' I wish they'd do something about it.

It is a chain and the food is what you'd expect. But the SERVICE! We felt like they rolled out the red carpet for us, but this is probably how they treat everyone. We got a free sample of their famous chicken, and a free dessert because it was our first time. The rolls they bring are like little heaven fried dough bits. I can't even explain them. We will definitely come back!

Great menu, food was very good, prices are reasonable. Not a fan of wait staff acting like they're your best friend and asking you personal questions or trying to be funny. Just smile, take my order, and get my food out in a reasonable amount of time. I don't go to restaurants to have the wait staff be my friends, it's a business transaction, don't waste my time.

What a surprising place! With a name like Fatz, you think you're getting yourself into some pretty unhealthy food, but the menu was the opposite. Fair selection of food across the board with healthy options. The decor is homey and their southern hospitality is what they pride themselves on. Imagine an Applebee's and go a level up. Our waitress, busboys, and manager all came at separate times to check on us and to see if all our needs were met. The food is decent but their customer service is excellent.

Staff was friendly. Food was great and prepared in a timely manner. We ordered the barbeque burger and the club sandwich, one with regular fries and the other with sweet potatoe fries. All of the food was excellent!

Eat there several times and the food and service have always been great. Its your typical chain steak house menu with a few local favs. The decor is nice as they have really amassed quite a collection of local memorabilia. Pricing is on par with the rest of its competitors perhaps a little less. All in all its a nice place to eat.
