The pork plate was amazing. Excellent flavor and generous portion. Baked bean side was special. Highly recommend .
VG & huge portions. Daily specials, too. Helpful staff. Reasonable $. Informal atmosphere.
Some of the best BBQ you will ever taste. There is a wide selection on the menu. They usually have daily specials with decent prices. They have several different BBQ and mustard sauces that are great to put on your sandwiches. Creekers also has some amazing peanut butter and key lime pies! It is a great local place to eat. The ceiling tiles are painted orange and white checkerboard, and the place carries a UT theme. Don't wait any longer. Try it and you will soon have a new favorite BBQ place at the top of your list!

Red Chili

Reviews:
The food is great, pretty darn authentic Korean food. The chef came out to chat with us and see how we liked the food. Portion sizes were just right and the BYOB was nice to allow each (3 couples)to bring & share a bottle of wine. It is a small place so get there early. Only bad thing I have to say is that because of the small size, one loud party can make it difficult to hear even the person across from you.
So I'm a fanatic for all things Korean. While researching places to eat on Yelp for my upcoming trip to Elizabethton, I was surprised to discover there was a Korean restaurant in town. Yay! Red Chili went to the top of my short list of places to try while I was in Carter County, Tennessee. Mid-week, headed down to Red Chili at the tail end of lunch time. Red Chili is right on Elk Avenue in the heart of the quaint shopping district of Elizabethton, nestled among lots and lots of antique shops. I stood outside the restaurant and perused the menu prior to placing my take out order. The offerings are very limited and looked suspiciously inauthentic and Americanized. I chalked it up to the restaurantuers knowing their market and limited access to authentic ingredients. I was disappointed that neither bulgogi or kalbi were on the menu. I went inside and was immediately struck by how small, hot and dark it was. I also noticed that the restaurant was being run by only two people (presumably a caucasian husband and Korean wife team.) Both were sweating profusely due to the warm weather (85 degrees) and lack of adequate air conditioning. I was glad I was ordering take out. I placed my order for four dishes at 1:08 pm and was told it would be 25 minutes til my order was ready. There was only 2 other tables dining it at that time. I figured that the long wait time might be an indicator that the food would be really fresh and well-prepared. I toddled off to a nearby antique mall to kill time while I waited for my food. I returned at 1:45 pm and my order was just being completed. I was glad my instincts told me it would take them more than 25 minutes to get my order ready. I would not have been happy if I had to wait in the sweltering heat for my food. Got back to the house and we all shared each others orders. Since they didn't have any take out menus, I don't remember the names of what I ordered. The best thing we got was Mom's cold buckwheat noodle salad with chicken, greens and a nice sesame dressing. Very tasty. My only complaint is that they dressed it. They should have put the dressing on the side because the next day the greens were really wilted. But it was still delicious a day later. I ordered was crunchy noodles with chicken (I don't remember what they called it). It was pretty decent, although the noodles weren't really crispy and reminded me quite a lot of lo mein. I can't quite put my finger on what flavorings went into it, but it was slightly sweet and tasty, but nothing special and certainly not authentic. Left me asking myself where the heat was... The one thing I didn't try was the Bibimbap, which although my stepfather really enjoyed it, it was NOT EVEN REMOTELY authentic. I was shocked when I opened the container. It was just rice and meat!!! Where were the veggies? Since he had never had Bibimbap he didn't know he should be disappointed, so I guess that was okay. I didn't rain on his parade and tell him his order was jacked. Finally, and most aggravating was my "Kickin Chicken" which claimed to be similar to sweet and sour chicken (suspicously NOT Korean). It was an unabashed disaster. The bok choi had rotten leaves on it. The fresh pineapple was turning to alcohol. The HUGE chunks of breaded and fried chicken weren't cut properly so that the grain of the chicken was going the wrong way. The chicken also became a soggy mess in the sticky sweet sauce (which was tasty). The red peppers and purple onions in the sauce were delish and were the only thing really salvagable in the dish. The chicken was really disgusting. And where was the heat? Helloooo... Korean food should have some KICK! Kicken Chicken, where are youuuuuuuuu??? And WTF... there was no kimchee in any of the orders, which I would think should be a forgone conclusion with Korean food. It's like ordering Italian take out and not getting rolls and butter. meh. So the my experience was mixed. Definitely NOT a place to go if you're looking for authentic Korean. It's more just Pan-Asian. They had a few Japanesy type dishes, in addition to the Chinese influenced choices. There was nothing on the menu purely Korean. Some of the food was good, as long as you don't have preconceived notions about how things should or should not be prepared. Cash and check only. No credit cards accepted. No kids meal offerings. They have one cute little table for outdoor seating if you want to people watch and escape from the heat inside. Open Wednesday through Sunday.
I love their food. Yellow curry chicken and bi bob bop bowl are great. You must try it. All food are always good and u will walk away stasifed. I know the place is small and cute.

For fast food, pal's definitely earns 5 stars! The service is quick and friendly. Both times I've gone, they've noticed I had my pups with me and gave them doggie treats, which is an extra service I appreciate (they have a snack while I have mine). I've had the ham and cheese sandwich and the chili dog. Both were very good! The ham sandwich was huge and filling (only made it through half) and the chili dog was tasty! I love their frenchy fries and will stop in again when passing through town!
A favorite from my childhood, definitely a bit of nostalgia for those who grew up in the area. I always try to eat here when I'm in town visiting my family. I love their fries and Big Chicken sandwich. Their peachie tea is also amazing!
One word: Meh!

Went here for carry out. The 3 of us all thought the food was excellent: General Tso's Chicken, pork in garlic sauce, combination fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon, and hot and sour soup. The only thing I would consider a negative is the amount of hot and sour soup was a little skimpy for my liking.
One of the best in the Tri-Cities! We like them for take-out orders. Large portions and of course great egg rolls too
We go here often food is better than Buffett closed to what we enjoyed out in the west. Lunch is reasonable priced and we always get lots of great food.

Sammons Hot Dogs

Reviews:
Have been meaning to stop by this place for a year or so and today, I finally did it! The Burger was pretty good and had that classic "Cafeteria" taste to it and the fries were fresh and hot. The lemonade stuck out to me the most because it was really, really good. I appreciate places like this because although they are not great, they sure are light-years better then McDonalds etc. I really can't place my finger on why, but this place just has an overall better quality and taste much like a Tastee Freeze or the likes. Overall, I rate this place a B- and will go back again if for nothing else, the Lemonade.
Another bit of nostalgia from my childhood. I have to eat here when visiting family, no doubt. Their hot dogs are simple yet delicious and I am in love with the lemonade. Although I'm allergic to most citrus, I have to break the rules to get my fresh squeezed lemonade fix.
My parents live in Elizabethton and this is one of my "must visit" places when I go up to see the family. It's just a little drive-thru where you can get a really good hot dog and seasoned fries. I've tried several combos over the years and they're all good. Sammons is highly recommended on a summer afternoon when you can enjoy your dogs at Sycamore Shoals, down by the Doe River.

Love this place. Went there weekly since it opened. Consistently hits the mark and darned good. Coupons are frequently on the back of Ingles receipts. Then the bad news--I moved away. But when I visit, this is top of the list to come back to. Always. Well worth it.
I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I was going to try the eggplant or the Philly cheesesteak because people had recommended them to me, but I copied my friend and got the chicken, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, cayenne, alfredo, bow tie pasta. It was great and I didn't think I would like anything there mostly because of the location and decor. I would eat there again, but not really soon because it was not a healthy dish. My husband loved the calzone and he loves being able to pick his own fillings. Also, we ordered the cannoli and it tasted like it had been in the fridge or freezer for quite a while. A friend got tiramisu and it was a little squishy. Next time I'll probably skip on dessert. Great for what it is in a small town and cheaper than Olive Garden.
The eggplant parm is killing! It's very crispy, well-seasoned, and the sauce is great. Everyone who's had eggplant parm has had a soggy flavorless version at some point. Primos got it right! Even if you THINK you don't like eggplant, you gotta try it. The pizza is also really fantastic, particularly the Greek.

An excellent place to eat one of the best cooked burgers! The onions rings and beat ever desserts ! A nice atmosphere for both families or a couples night out. Thank you Brian Jones for some of the best cooked dinner in awhile!
This location has the standard Fatz layout and menu. Service was accommodating and they gave us a free appetizer because it was NASCAR raceweek in Bristol. I absolutely love their Calabash chicken, but the new Fatz lighter side menu is just as good. Hands down one of my favorite chains. And the rolls, the rolls are like a dessert. Will certainly return!
The food was great, but the wait was long and the server was less than friendly. The experience is what would be expected from a chain restaurant - especially on a very busy Sunday afternoon. If I were to eat here again I wouldn't go on a Sunday. It seemed the staff were overtired or irritated by previous customers. I always have a hard time deciding what to eat at places like this because there are not specific things on the menu that I find exciting or especially healthy. We had the chicken wrap and the club sandwich. Both were great and someone at our table said the gravy on the chicken and potatoes was awesome. Steamed broccoli was cooked well and not over-seasoned. I've also heard that the peanut butter pie is amazing.
