Another favorite stop for this trucker. Foods always good and the service great. The buffet is really good too but I normally get the half rack of ribs from the menu. I love them served wet with the sweetheat sauce. Just getting out of your truck can get your mouth watering. The smell of the meat being bbq is awesome. The restaurant is a feast for the eyes. License plates from all over are displayed on the walls along with other nostalgic items. Also the store sells Aunt Mae's Roasted Peanuts which are a delicious snack for the road. I never miss a chance to eat here.
I didn't get to eat here, it was just a "pit-stop". But the restroom was probably the cleanest one I've been in! It looked new. And the coffee is good too!
I drive truck cross america. I have been lots different restaurant cross. I don't want give them any star--. This place is sucks and expensive. My server was very slow. No napkins on the table. My order took long time. I order two egg omelet with small bowl oatmeal guess how much??? $11.83. Food was oily no brown sugar with oatmeal?? First restaurant ever seen on the road cross america.
While travelling through the area, I had to stop for gas for the car and to eat. We got gas across the street, then stopped here for a bite to eat. As with most places that you stop when you travel the interstates, the bathrooms were a disaster. The rest of the Subway looked fine, but for whatever reason, the bathrooms were in terrible shape. But I digress. However, the main reason for the review, is the owner. I ordered four 6" cold cut combo subs, mostly for later on. Since Subway currently has a special on these, I thought it was a great idea. However, the owner who took my order must have not heard me clearly and just made one 6"inch sub. When I corrected her and said I wanted four, she gave me the look of death. It was all I could do to not burst out in laughter. The reason for this is that a family friend owns multiple Subway locations and most owners are angry at this deal because they barely break even, if that. Corporate Subway really screws over the franchisees with these awesome deals, so I try not to take advantage of them too often. Overall, my visit was fine. But please, if the owners read this, do something with your bathrooms!
