Service has always been great. Friendly staff. Restaurant is nothing fancy but food is good! I have tried steamed mixed vegetables and Kung pao chicken thus far.

We stopped here because Mary's German restaurant ran out of food. Set up as carryout but with a few tables and booths the meals were of very good quantity and taste. Although I've never been to a Chinese restaurant with take out containers for bowls and plates the service was excellent especially from the 11 year old cashier. I got the moo shu pork with square wonton skin wrappers instead of the normal round crepes. I can't complain about something I normally toss anyway to save a few carbs.

The decor, food and location are all perfectly suited for carryout and that's fine by me. This folks here are also really friendly. Roll up, drop your order by China Spring, and shop in the Kroger next door and pick up a tasty and affordable meal on the way to the car. I've exercised this strategy with great success, especially on a Sunday or Saturday afternoon for a lunch special. The specials really make eating out on a budget very doable. The egg rolls and fried rice really stand out.

Good stuff! Never a bad meal from here. Got dinner last night with family who were in town and they liked it too. The employees are very nice and the woman at the counter had a big smile on her face. Happy to have such a yummy and quick option near home.

Excellent service and quality, affordable, great food! They are always very nice and by the time I place my order and drive over to pick up, it's hot and ready! This is a hidden gem :)

First impression of restaurant: Wow. This place looks entirely unimpressive. First impression of food: WOW. This smells amazing. I picked up dinner to go for my husband and I and we went pretty basic: chicken & broccoli for him and beef & snow peas for me. I tasted both and they were delicious! I was most impressed with the quality of the beef they used - not chewy at all. Tender and delicious. The vegetables in both dishes were extremely fresh, crisp, and perfectly cooked. Staff was friendly. Food was still steaming once we got it home. Great price, great portion! We've lived in this area for 9 months and I do believe we've finally found "our" place to get Chinese food!

First time going here, went on the basis of other Yelper reviews. Prices were moderate/reasonable. I agree with others that it is not really a comfortable atmosphere to dine, it is better for take out. My daughter and I liked the sesame chicken a lot, very tasty. The shrimp lo mein was not that great, however. The noodles were somewhat mushy and the shrimp were mushy and "fishy' smelling, as if they were old or left to thaw in water too long.

My favorite Chinese place. Orders always right. Always friendly with a smile.only thing could make it better is a delivery service.

Always friendly and the food is made to order. Better than most other Chinese restaurants out there for sure. I personally would only do take out from here. While it is clean the seating area is not much to write home about.

Tried this place tonight for the first time. Clean establishment with roomy booths and tables to eat at, even though I got mine to go. The menu is your standard Chinese takeout fare. I ordered a large portion of House Special Lo Mein, and let me tell you, it was a HUGE portion! You can easily feed two people with it and still probably have leftovers. I also ordered egg rolls and crab rangoons, both very good. I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my food, and for the crab rangoons, two egg rolls, and a portion of lo mein that could feed 2-3 people, I only spent $15. Give this place a try, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it like I did!

I love to go in, order my food, shop next door at Kroger and pick up my Chinese food on the way back to the car. It's always perfect. They don't like you to double check to make sure you have everything you ordered because they know they got it right and they always have. They do a great job! Really good Chinese and a ton of food for the money. One of my favorite places!

I'm moving and think I owe them a great review after - oh - 8 years of take-out from there. Nothing fancy here, always take-out. Wings are fantastic (wish they'd add a dash of 5-spice, though), dumplings are great, whether steamed or fried, and I've never had a real complaint on the food ( I mean square wraps for mu-shu. Is that a real complaint?). Love the noodle dishes & the curry's. I don't eat the breaded, fried, sauced americanized stuff, so can't comment on those. A great little Chinese place where you're always greeted with a smile when you walk in.

The food Is great and is family owned. I never have to look over my food I know the owner has taken care of me. 20$you get plenty of food with extra egg rolls. Try it you will love it.

Nice little Chinese restaurant off of Houston Levee. As other reviewers put it, this place is best left for take-out, as the decor is...um....not there. (there is a tv on the wall, but that's it) We're talking about styrofoam plates and plastic utensils for dine in. Not my idea of even trying. They left off our soup, which was supposed to come with lunch (not that we needed it - the food portions are HUGE) and there were no condiments to go with the eggrolls. That aside, the food is great. I can just assume that they are used to take-out and do that better than dine-in. I would absolutely eat here again. (Well, at home) PS - just reviewed the menu and they have Singapore Noodles! Yesssssss!

The food is okay. I stop in here about twice a month because it is really close to my house and that is about how many times I really crave wonton soup. The family is really friendly and the service is super fast. It is pretty much a call ahead and pick up type place so the interior decor is pretty simple but ample space for dining in.

Excellent chinese food. I stop in here on my way home at least every other week. They have a sit in area, but they are mainly a to go place. I usually call as I'm on the way. It usually only takes 10 minutes for them to cook everything up.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
