Rather average. Had special #1. Biscuit and Gravy was just ok. Sausage links were bland and had portions undercooked. Eggs were fine. The one thing that was really good were the Hash Browns. A previous reviewer said they were covered in onions, and I thought that was the case when they arrived, but many of the pieces I thought were onions were just thin sliced potato. The taste and texture of the hash browns was excellent, which is what pulled the review up to 3. Might return and skip the biscuits and links :(

We discovered this breakfast spot using yelp on a road trip and really enjoyed our pancake breakfasts. Portions are huge...6 fluffy pancakes, each 6 inches in diameter. Don't miss the traditional American fried potatoes! No prepackaged shredded potatoes here, just perfectly seasoned thinly sliced old-fashioned fried potatoes. The egg dishes and combos looked good, too. Clean, friendly and quick service, delicious food, and easy access from I-40. What more can you ask?.

The meal was decent. The pancakes are not the best as they claim but they were ok. The omelets are huge! Overall it was just ok.

OMG! This place was great! Clean, fairly nice atmosphere. And very friendly and just a little too prompt wait staff. I mean, it's not like they were busy and crowded or anything. I wasn't looking at my phone, either. The breakfast was cooked to order. I had the "Eggs Michael" (or was it Michele?). English muffin on the bottom, next came the sausage patties, then 2 perfectly poached eggs, topped by "Grandma's" own mushroom gravy! Ahhh! To die for! Oh, and accompanied by 4 nice, thin, and crispy potato pancakes and a little side of sour cream and applesauce! Oh my gosh! The helping was huge! So, if you have a *really* healthy appetite, this is the place, to be sure! It may not be fancy, but the food is fantastic! Hence the 5 stars. Definitely a place to go for breakfast in Cookeville!

This place completes my soul. The servers are kind and always cater to my family and I. I've been here 5 or 6 times. I would go more, but I don't live in Tennessee. The banana pancakes are my favorite!! The omelets are ginormous and fluffy. They have awesome deals during the weekdays for $6 breakfast. I wish they had a location in south Florida.

Food and pancakes are excellent! The only downfall is that it is pretty hot inside the building. Not a real comfortable eating environment.

Excellent coffee, potato pancakes to die for, warm & friendly service, eggs were poached to perfection...THIS is what breakfast joints all claim, but Grandmas hits the mark. Go. Eat, bubaleh, you're wasting away... This is as good a Nana used to stuff me with....oh yeah, baby... REAL butter too!

One of my favorite places to eat at in Cookeville. The orange juice is squeezed when ordered and they have a selection of fresh fruit! Very relaxing environment with a great staff! It's a great place to go and have coffee by yourself or with ten of your friends. And they have bacon pancakes!!! A variety of items to choose from, everything is delicious, and fabulous customer service. And it's a local small business!

Very relaxed place for breakfast, with great prices! Lots of different pancakes to choose from and some REALLY excellently priced combination plates. The service was excellent - plenty of coffee and water refills without having to ask, and the food was hot and on time. On the large sign in the parking lot, Grandma's touts the "best pancakes in the world". On the sign on the front of the building, they claim "best pancakes in town". I believe the sign on the front of the building. Everything we ordered tasted fairly standard. Nothing to scream or shout about in a bad or good way. Each of the three of us ordered our eggs differently, and we received them as such. My sausage was underwhelming, and my pancakes were... perhaps the best pancakes in town... it's a small town. Not saying they were bad by ANY means, but I've had better at home. On a side note, this place MUST have formerly been a Mexican restaurant and the decor still exudes that. You walk in and the place screams "Abuela's", not "Grandma's"...

My girlfriend and I eat here every Saturday morning. The food is great! The service is great and they make you feel good every time you visit. The staff is very interactive with our newborn child as well. Back to the food.... we haven't tried anything we didnt like. This place is by far the best breakfast place in Cookeville. Highly recommended.

Portions were great! The omelet was the size of your head! Pancakes were good and the BACON was perfect! The server was polite and on top of the refills! -A big A+. Overall it was a great place for breakfast.

Good eats but plan on a big breakfast. the potatoes pancakes were good and the price was great. Quiet little place and the coffee was on point.

Impressive list of selections when it comes to pancakes, waffles and crepes. Also offers real, fresh-squeezed OJ. A must-stop if you're in town and looking for a breakfast joint.

Good food, decent atmosphere. Pretty busy on a Sunday morning so the wait staff isn't too attentive but overall it's a pretty good place to get some good tasting breakfast for a reasonable price. You go away hungry from here and it's your own fault.

Atmosphere is humid. Food is great tho. This place could use a makeover though. The booths need to be bigger to accommodate large families. The only thing i dont like is the 1.00 charge if you decide to share your food with someone in your group. They could also use an exterminator because i seen about 4 roaches crawling on the walls next to our booth. Very unsanitary. Until they get their place exterminated i will not be back. I can only imagine how that kitchen look ls if there are roaches crawling on the walls in the dining area.

We thought this was a very good breakfast place. I particularly liked their potato pancakes, but everything was good.

I don't know why they have such high reviews for this place. I guess I'm not originally from Cookeville so I've had better food. Service was only okay. And the food..I didn't know you can put onion in everything until I came here like even their hashbrowns are filled with white onions! I came out smelling like onions. There's a difference in using very little onion to enhance the flavor than just plain covering the whole breakfast dish with it. Super greasy too. First and last. Never again.

This is a cozy country breakfast spot with friendly service and a great breakfast menu. I am a huge fan of Egg's Benedict and this place has the best in town. check this place out if you get a chance.

Great value and great food!!! Came here late on a Thursday looking for breakfast...not disappointed!! Daily specials are great with eggs, bacon, hash browns an either pancakes or biscuits and gravy for $5.00! What?!?!

Service was good. Food was good. Prices was a little high, we spent $28 for 2 adults to have breakfast plus tip. We had omelettes, and they were huge! Biggest I've ever had. Pancakes were great, and tasted home made. I didn't like that to add cheese to an omelette was a dollar extra, cheese makes an omelette. It was worth checking out.

Too pricey for what you get. Food wasn't really great I can cook better. Room feels odd..

Delicious food !!! Great unique touch on pancakes. My favorite is the bacon pancake.

Don't know what Little Miss Marie is talking about in low review because this place is great. I love the pancake varieties - the cherry one is my favorite - but the old-fashioned souffle-style omelets are incredible. Only caveat? If you're a light eater, bring a friend to share a meal.

Have you ever had a coconut waffle with tropical syrup? You should, because its heavenly! I split one of these along with a mexican omelet and they were both delicious. The waffle was a thin, not belgian waffle covered with toasted coconut and served with butter, fresh whipped cream, and tropical syrup on the side. The omelet was huge and fluffy, stuffed with peppers, jalapenos, onions, ham & other veggies and then smothered with salsa. I can't describe how big and fluffy the omelet was. I have no idea how they make it like that. I heard great things about this homey breakfast place and it didn't fail.

A little more pricy than the IHOP, but better quality. Tastes like homemade, portions not too big but not too small.
