Cafe Roma is one of our favorite restaurants in Cleveland and we were glad to go back after over a year since our last visit. Two of our family got the tomato basil soup and it was delicious. My wife ordered the tortellini carbonara, my son ordered pollo parmesan and I got the linguine alla pescatori with a red sauce. We were all pleased with our choices---especially me with the linguine. This dish included shrimp, amberjack fish and large scallops. This is a really good dish for a seafood lover. For dessert, we each got a different dish---tiramisu, bread pudding and butterscotch ice cream. All three were top notch. Other than the food, Cafe Roma was clean, attractively decorated and the service was super! We'll be back.

Nice atmosphere Went for lunch. Ordered the vegetarian lasagna. It was very tasty ... Lots of garlic... Very good. I though the portion size always a bit small for the $12 price point.

My husband had the scallops and I had the braised beef and both were excellent!!! The Caesar salad is a must as it the caprese. The bred is super fresh. You can pass on the spinach ravioli. And the wine selection is by far the best in a thirty mile radius!!!nicest spot in Cleveland!

The food is always good. I have never had a bad meal here. Not expensive, priced according to the quality of food one receives (this isn't a steak at the western sizzler). Love the fact you can go casual or dressy and still have a great night out with great food. And lunch is good too!!!

We split the braised ribs on fettuccine special. Wow! We were very impressed. The rib meat was very tender and juicy.

Always great good. The service is also always exceptional. Love the small atmosphere that the place has also. Never had a bad meal and the price is great for the food you get. One of my favorites in Cleveland.

Opened in May of 2003 Cafe Roma was established in down town Cleveland, TN . A true hidden gem in here to I might add as I visited Cafe Roma due to Gary N recommending their tomato bisque soup. Absolute best........... Here's why. It is the simple truth: Cafe Roma is the absolute best restaurant that I have been to here in Cleveland, TN. It besides itself separate from all others. Also, they are now offering a new menu for the Summer of 2014. I got the Caesar salad with chicken. It was superbly delicious. I had the best ever tomato soup here today. I was impressed at how good it was. I enjoyed the pleasant vibe of the restaurant as well as the ambience of the lighting. As far as features are concerned, I was dazzled by the art on the walls and even more baffled by the customer service of my waitress. Oh yeah! My server was friendly and kept my sweet tea full at all times which is a must for any restaurant in getting 5 stars by me. I couldn't help but notice what a great selection of wines they had and prices were pretty reasonable too I might add. They have house made deserts here too that you really don't want to miss out on. In summary, get the tomato soup, take a friend, check out the wine and enjoy this Italian restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

I would give them more stars if I could. My family (15 person group) came here for A late dinner. Café Roma and especially our server Beth rose to the occasion with exceptional service and great food. People were arriving at different times, orders were all over the place, bills were split, the table was in good spirits but boisterous. We pushed Beth to the limit and she performed OUTSTANDINGLY! I've never seen such and incredible display of patience, accuracy, attentiveness, and service at a restaurant ever, let alone under the conditions she was dealing with. This woman deserves a medal or at least a sizable raise. The food was all delicious. Nothing was just "good" here. It was all great. Everyone complimented their dish. The salads, the pasta, the fish, the pasta bolognaise, the desserts. All just fantastic. You really can't go wrong with their menu and they were very gracious about substitutions. Overall, this was a seven star experience at minimum. A huge thank you to Beth and the rest of the staff at Café Roma!

This place seems expensive for the sake of being expensive. Seems pretentious to me. Lots of people dressed up and looking down at those in jeans. The food menu is very limited. Not too much on the menu. No chicken parmigiana? What Italian restaurant worth it's weight doesn't have this? I was informed that I could get it for dinner? I got the penne pasta. It was so-so, noodles were undercooked. The sauce was good but had a kick to it that I wasn't expecting.

Best restaurant in town by a long shot. Better than Cleveland deserves. Unique taste combos. Highlights include: bowtie pasta w salmon in pink sauce, all steaks, cream brûlée and bisques. Interesting specials. Great, intimate setting.

good for a quick lunch or a casual dinner with glass of wine. some people say it's too upscale or pretentious or expensive, I don't think so at all. How can you call a 20 dollar dinner expensive? I think they actually have good value. Food taste good for a small town restaurant, the atmosphere is casual.

Unquestionably well-made food and a good attempt at a wine list. The martini selection is off-beat and a pleasant surprise to start. The focus of the menu is taste combinations, not any particular meat or style. I had their Cappesante to start, and the first thought was Chef Ramsay screaming, "Oh come on, I see little burnt bits on it!" But it was not rubbery, instead savory, and paired well with a kind of pine nut encrusted something or other. I have no idea if it was potato or parsnip or rutabaga. I ate it. Let's move on. Bistecca Roma, their NY strip with a polenta something thing and asparagus. Also very good, steak was cooked true medium, pink in the center, not strongly seasoned but it didn't need it. Dessert was an apple bread pudding that could've lost the raisins and been improved muchly for it. Still, made for a nice finish to an enjoyable meal. The place was absolutely dead on Monday evening, but who's really going on Monday? Bartenders from a busy weekend? This is a gem of a find for Cleveland. It would do well in a much more competitive location, such was the happy experience. If you've ever nearby, this is a sure win.

This is easily the best restaurant in town. The pricing is extremely reasonable for a night out ($17 for an entree) and the food is spectacular. The owners are kind and the ambiance is classy. It would be easy to become a regular at this place. My only complaint is that sometimes the live music is more distracting than pleasant. The venue is small and it is easy for a singer to drown out conversation.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
