I had considered stopping in to try this restaurant several time over last couple of years. Today I finally did so. The staff is very well informed, friendly, yet not bothersome. The place is clean. The food is very good and unique. They have a nice menu and good portions. In my opinion this is one of the better places I've eaten.

Delicious entrees, had shrimp and veggie Alfredo with small Greek salad. Nice chicken parm portion with side Caesar for $2.99 extra. Nice outdoor seating on patio, very friendly and efficient service.

The food is great. They have a good selection of Greek and Italian dishes. My husband and I took our dads here for Father's Day. We thought it would have been busier given the holiday, but we were seated immediately. Out server did have several other tables of 4+ guests so getting her attention was tricky at times. She was still very friendly and accommodating even though she was running around like crazy. We started with bacon cheese sticks because you can't go wrong there. They are perfect. They do charge for marinara which is strange I think but it's a must. My husband and I each ordered a small pizza, although after cheese sticks and a side salad I'm sure the smaller personal pizza would have been plenty. The pizza is one price for unlimited ingredients which is really awesome. Everything is fresh and the pizza is delicious. I could tell my dad wasn't crazy about the Greek burger he ordered, just because it came in a pita. He said it tasted good but it was "different." My father in law had the Greek chicken and cleared his plate so I'm guessing it was good! We don't live in Bristol, but my husband grew up there and has eaten Mad Greek plenty of times. It's one of the better places to eat in this town and it's still family owned. Whether you're in town for the races or just looking for some good eats, check it out!

We have been twice and were very impressed both times. The service was good if not great and the food was very yummy. My hubby and I both had the gyros each time, so I can't comment on anything else, but they are tasty enough to drive up from Johnson City for.

Def yummy! Every time I go, it's delicious no matter what I order. Gyro, pizza, salad. All yummy! Nice spot to eat outside, if you like as well.

This restaurant is still in our rotation and still great. We recently had the opportunity to eat at another Greek style restaurant in the area and the Mad Greek will always be our preference.

Although it didn't quite measure up to the other reviews. Mad Greek is acceptable if you like Greek.

I like their food very much, especially the Greek appetizer platter. But I cannot find good baklava here or anywhere in the area!

Happy to find this place while seemingly in the middle of nowhere...an otherwise haven for fast food joints and we were looking for a little something more. Mad Greek delivered with tasty food and good service. We were there just before the church crowd arrived on Sunday afternoon and it was quickly packed. Good variety of yummy food with good prices and a clean environment. Will stop again.

We stopped here on a road trip and we very pleased. The service was quick and friendly. There was a very nice patio to sit on. We had pita sandwiches, dolamides, and the spicy gyro. All were very good. Would definitely stop there again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
