Best Italian sandwich I have ever had...love the fresh bread. Service is friendly and fast, price is good.
Best Philly in town by far.
Best sandwich in town. I'm a meat eater. But I love their artichoke sub, get it with mushrooms and bannana peppers. If you like artichoke dip or are a veretarian this is the sandwich. I highly recommend it. They also have the best lemonade and fresh cut fries. And malt vineger to soke up your fries. You have to try this place.

Yep. A strip mall in Bellevue is worth your time. In addition to housing a beer, wine & spirits store you should check out (with another one across the street; one of the best in the metro), there's Publicity. As one of the few gastropubs (are these still a thing? I remember that Chicago used to be loaded with them) in the Nashville metro area, they've got a pretty good thing going on and the lack of competition does them well. Even if they had a bevy of competitors, Publicity could stand tall with its beer program and food offerings... And, happy hour. I found myself in Bellevue on a cold Wednesday afternoon and I knew I wanted a beer. A quick tap-tap-tap on my Yelp app and I 'found' Publicity. Better yet, though, I 'found' that the pub offers happy hour from 3-6. Discounted prices on booze and food? Sign me up! I started things off with a chocolate-orange porter. I'd never had one and the season was right for porters AND it was happy hour... so, why not? It was an interesting brew. I don't know that I'd order it again, but I had two that day. Because, happy hour. In addition to happy hour, Publicity offers a variety of theme days (wine, 2-for-1s). I hope this is due to a whimsical management and not because they have to resort to tricks to get butts in seats. For our appetizer, we opted for the poutine. 1.) Fries with stuff on 'em is always a good order and 2.) When it's cold, you can eat what you want... the fattier and more decadent, the better. It's a rule. The poutine here, for being nowhere near Montreal, was positively decent. I enjoyed it and would order it again. Since I'd said 'eff it' to my diet, I went all in and ordered the fish & chips. I received two Flinstone-sized pieces of breaded cod (flakey, buttery and crunchy from the breading) and a tartar sauce that was dense enough to hold up to the fish. I am not a fan of most white, creamy sauces but make them runny? Nope. I'm out. Because I couldn't get the voice of my GP out of my head, I subbed a salad for the chips... but I topped it with blue cheese dressing. I can't help myself. Publicity may not be enough to make me drive out to Bellevue (it's a decent drive) but when I'm in the area (as I tend to be), it's definitely enough to keep me out there. My service experience was positive. I liked the wood booths and 'publicity' angle of the menu. And, I think it's important to realize that the Nashville metro has so much to offer outside of a few neighborhoods that get written about by outside newspapers. Lastly, how many gastropups does Nashville have? Shouldn't you go out and try one?
I love the food here! Always a 10 out of 10 for me! My only complaint is the level of service I've received multiple times. When dining at the bar, the bartender was slow to notice me (I was one of three people at the bar) and took several mins to get menus for me. Once my drink order was put in, it took way too long for what I ordered. It was a bottle of beer that had to be poured into a pint glass. It sat on the bar top until she completed a martini and cocktail for the two other patrons. I understand a mental queue, however if a drink takes two seconds you complete that beverage first. I sat for around ten mins trying to make eye contact with Marina. She avoided it and talked non stop with her other guests; she made most of the conversation with ample opportunities to pause and check in with me. I felt ignored. It also appeared that she was purposely not making eye contact walking back and forth in front of me. I finally had to interject and place my order. She asked me if garlic fries were okay, then asked me again five mins later when she finally put my order in at the computer. The rest of my time was like that. Asked if I needed my check without asking first if I needed anything else-assumed she was done with serving me. And also slapped my card and receipt down without saying anything. I said thank you and she said you're welcome. Not impressed in the slightest. Overall food was fantastic, and the manager who brought it to me made sure I was taken care of. If those skills could be transferred to the bartender that would make this experience perfect.
Easily one of if not my favorite place to eat in Nashville right now. 5th avenue selections on a Main Street budget- Chef Nick puts his heart into his unique creations. The Lima Bean Hummus is outstanding (coming from someone who hates lima beans AND hummus), Meatloaf is another of my favorites as is The Standard (a giant burger with bacon and a farm fresh egg) They have a Weekend brunch, and drink specials almost every day -- don't even get me started on the beer selection (only about 8 taps but ALWAYS getting in new and unique brews -- flight night is the best - 4 pours starting around $5! You can't beat it! Cocktail list is great - the 5 Day Forecast is freaking amazing (made with house infused Habenero Vodka). Have I mentioned they use local farm fresh ingredients in most of their dishes... ? Perhaps the best part of this little gem is knowing you're supporting local business and family. Owners changed hands about a year ago and they are amazing - a sweet little family that pays extraordinary attention to detail. If for some reason your food/experience is anything less than stellar they will absolutely make it right. If you're still reading this, stop what you're doing - get in the car - and drive there right now!!
