Wow. Amazing donuts. Well priced. Night and day better than other donuts we have tried. Took the whole family this morning and we all loved it. Stretch your jaws first before you come because you have to open them wide to take a bite of these big fluffy donuts. SO GOOD.
I am not a big doughnut fanatic, however the doughnut box has gotten me hooked. The doughnuts are so soft and melt in your mouth. They are huge so you also get a good value for your money. They have flavor varieties for everyone, Including a bacon maple doughnut! Be sure and try a bear claw while you are there. Try and arrive early because the selection is better plus they are warm.
Super sweet counter help and wonderful green tea donuts! Well, wonderful donuts in general! I love this neat little shop. It is the perfect compliment to the neighborhood and we are so fortunate to have The Donut Box near by. Simply yummy!

Popped in for lunch while rain and sleet were falling outside and had one of the best Mexican meals we've had in a long, long time! We ordered the Chimichangas and the Quesadilla Rellena and they were phenomenal! The salsa was delicious, their produce was super impressive for any season, even more so for early, icy March! Even called to see if they were open in the snow amd ice, ready to go again.
This place is fantastic. I had the chorizo quesadilla, and it was phenomenal. The ingredients are fresh, and the staff is super nice.
Service improved alot since last visit...it was outstanding! Food hot. Glass never empty Try the Top Shelf Strawberry Margarita and Dessert Burrito Parking lot filled up around 730 and everyone was served quick Regular salsa mild and fine for kids...ask for the hot stuff and you will not be disappointed

I must echo the previous two reviews, though the coconut cake it the one that I found off-the-chart. I happened upon this little bit of bliss by accident while eating at Soul Fish in Mid-Town. Then when I asked about the it at the Germantown location the server clued me in to where they procured their cakes. After calling All American Sweets, I found that Booya's in Collierville also carries their cakes. Both restaurants will sell you a whole cake....I think the one I bought was no more than $35 (maybe less). Either way, this is a Blue Ribbon cake - it simply can't get any better.
Holy freaking Toledo, Memphis. The strawberry cake from All American Sweets is where it is at. Give me a map and I'll show you the damn way! Layer upon layer of cake, strawberry filling and strawberry icing- all fresh ingredients mind you-it is the makings of glorious food ecstasy. I was never a fan of strawberry cake. I would never have ordered it for my dessert of choice, but All American Sweets changed me folks. I, Erica B, am a strawberry cake junkie. JUNKIE. Well, an All American Sweets strawberry cake junkie anyhow. I can't speak to the deliciousness of any others, and frankly have no need to try any others now. They also make coconut, banana, caramel, carrot and red velvet. They have plans of opening bakeries in the Memphis and East Memphis areas, but for now are housed in a warehouse-esque shop in Bartlett. There is no store front, you'll need to call and order. They have plenty of info on their web site and Facebook page along with photos of their cakes. They'll be happy to do special occasions as well- birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and the like. 9" round stock cakes start at $35 bucks- which is nothing once you a) see the size of this thing and b) taste it. Oh for the love of all things baked and frosted, TASTE this thing! Deeeelicious.
I was recently invited out to the All American Sweets bakery out in Bartlett. All American Sweets is a family owned and run bakery (meaning 3 people run the place) that mainly sells commercially. They now also make cakes for special occasions as well, such as wedding cakes. Bill Kloos led me through the behind the scenes aspect of the bakery, which was very impressive. His philosophy boils down to "go big or go home". They have nothing but they best equipment, setting themselves up for a bigger business in the future. Then we got down to the good part, aka trying the cakes. I tasted the Coconut Cake, Banana Nut Cake, and the Strawberry Cake. The Coconut Cake was very coconuty and sweet. Yummy. The Banana Nut Cake tasted like a sweeter version of Banana Nut Bread. It still has the denseness and earthiness to it, which I liked. This is also a great excuse to be able to eat it for breakfast. However, the Strawberry Cake is what really caught my attention. It was awesome. The cake was very light and moist. It tasted like biting into a strawberry. The middle icing layers have actual muddled strawberries in them, so you get that fresh strawberry taste. I am not one to order cakes when going out to eat, but I would definitely order this if I saw it on the menu. I left All American Sweets on a sugar high and with a full belly. I wish I had a list of all the places their cakes are sold, but I do know you can find them at Lucchesi's and Soul Fish Cafe. You can also call and pre-order cakes for yourself.

El Molino Mexican Restaurant

Reviews:
My wife and I have enjoyed going to El Molino for the past several years now - a good friend of hers recommended we go. Once we went, we got hooked - on the salsa, on the food, on the margaritas, the staff - you get the idea. Everything is scratch-made, and it all tastes great for that reason. You will have to taste it for yourself to know what I mean. It has taken a number of visits to try only some of the good dishes - and I'm not done yet - but the food is fantastic! It takes so many visits because I keep repeating the dishes that I like. It's a tough job - but I don't mind. Really. The staff are all good folks and can recommend what to try if you're not sure. Oh, and the margaritas are our favorite in town - and we have tried margaritas at most of the other Mexican restaurants around town. Mr. Gonzales has his own recipe. Try them for yourself. Shame you can't get them "to go". If you like good Mexican food, but have not been to El Molino yet - do it! Go taste how good the food is - you can call ahead and get it to go if you'd like. Once you go, you'll know what I mean - you can thank me later. Enjoy!
I had a group meeting and the waiters and manager was excellent they serve us well check on us to make sure everyone was OK and satisfied the food and drinks were great if you looking for a nice cozy spot for the couple or need to do business meeting they have a private room just for that.
El Molino is a great place for lunch. Entrees are reasonably priced and the service is excellent. I'm a big fan of the chicken fajitas, less so of chili (opinions may vary). My wife loves any dish with shrimp. This is an unpretentious restaurant located in a mostly-empty strip mall. Don't let the location put you off.

Let me start by saying I'm a southern food snob and have high expectations for places that claim they have good southern food. Well, this place hit the spot! Great food and great service. Little small mom and pop place so expect limited seating but this place is definitely worth the wait! Fried steak was on point! The meatloaf was huge and flavorful! Will be back!!
So good. Down to earth southern staff-very attentive. Huge mason jar cups for your beverages. All home made foods. Our family got country fried steak, country fried chicken, poor mans steak, black eyed peas, green beans, turnip greens, fried okra, skin-in lumpy mashed potatoes, Mac-n-cheese, and the little one got grilled cheese and fries. For dessert we got the coconut cream pie and chocolate pie. Everything was fabulous. Prices are great for the food you get. We will definitely be repeat customers.
Best country cookin' around. Great food and service. They were very quick with the food and drink service. Be prepared. They do have a wait sometimes as the place is pretty small but you won't wait long. Turn over is pretty fast!

Food here was awesome! Michelle our waitress was wonderful! Great service and great food! Love the music playing in the background!
Food is good but this place lacks windows, light and color. You can go there for lunch and it will be lit the same as it is for the 9pm crowd. Food is omly thing worth its value here.
What a wonderful time!!! This place has it all!! Small town charm, beautifully decorated and the most adorable server! When we walked in, we were greeted like long lost friends and given a tour of this simply charming place. For lunch, I selected the shrimp and grits and it was quite amazing. Possibly the most delicious I have ever had!! I will definitely come back!!!

We've been here twice in one week. I was really pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. My parents hadn't been so we ordered a lot of different stuff and did family style. Basil Fried Rice Beef, Pad Thai Gai (Chicken), Tom Ka Gai soup, Massamon Curry Gai, and some other things, then went back and did the lunch special. The food was really good, and fresh. I've been to Thai all over and mainly in Seattle and it was really really good. We'll be back for sure next chance we get. The staff is really friendly too and helpful. Hope this helps :)
Yum! Some of best Thai food around. I've been here several times and I've been trying different things. It's always good! It's a quiet little hidden spot but a gem! Maybe not the best decor or atmosphere around but you're there for the food right?
The food tasted like fast food Chinese, but took eight times as long. Our dishes all arrived at different times. Nothing on the table matched, from the flatware to the bowls and dishes - even the salt and pepper shakers were different. There was a gnat that joined us for our meal while a weird creepy zombie show played on the flat screen TV on the wall. I wouldn't recommend eating here. Move along.

Milano's has been my family's go-to local pizza/Italian place for nearly 20 years. The food is dependable, satisfying; the service is fast and friendly. You can't go wrong with their pizzas, calzones or Philly subs.
When it comes to pizza I'm a bread and sauce guy and neither hit the spot for me here. If the food was as good as the service this would be a great place.
Love this place for huge slices of New York-style pizza. You can buy a whole pizza too, of course, but for lunch or something just on the way home, grab some Milano's.
