High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol

I hate Applebee's. Everytime I come here I leave dissatisfied and with a stomach ache. The menu always looks great, but when you get the food it's always so bad. I only came here because other people wanted to.... as usual. Service is adequate, but our waitress was clearly uncomfortable with her job. Whatever. Applebee's is dead and buried for me.

I've been enjoying Applebee's half price appetizers for many years. This evening walked in to Applebee's here in Knoxville ready to enjoy my favorite boneless wings. So I sit at the Bar and and proceed to order and the Bartender says we aren't serving half price appetizers yet so I look at my watch and its still a few minutes before nine. So i tell her ill just wait She give me this look like really thats what you came here for "What would you like to drink?"she asks. I tell her I just start off with some water. I'm an Airline pilot and its against The FAA regulations to have anything to drink within a certain period before my next flight. She proceeds to tell me that Well to get that special you have to buy a drink. Her entire attitude was pretentious are unprofessional.

Applebee's is good cheap restaurant quality food, they almost feel too cheap for the decent quality food & service you're given. However the menu isn't that robust and customer service is usually sub par. I always feel that customer service reflects the quality of food behind it, and the waiters here are often obstructed by the lack of quality foods they have to back up their customer service. That being said, if you're on a budget and need to entertain others, then Applebee's is the way to go. Their prices are great considering your getting restaurant quality food at near fast food prices.

We visited here again. The last time wasn't so great so we thought we'd try it again. Plus, it was late and it was the only thing open for a good dinner dish besides waffles or breakfast. I ordered the cedar salmon. It was a smaller cut of salmon than what I'm used to but had a good flavor. I can't say too much about what it was sitting on though. Some wilted greens with diced potatoes and peas. It did have a single small stalk of asparagus which was actually good. The topping was really good as well. The menu picture was better looking than the actual dish itself. It was probably one small potato, three pieces of greens, several dried peas (hot lamp) and single baby sprig asparagus. Salad was really good. Even though our server forgot it and brought it with the meal, it was still really good, cold and crisp. All in all, it was pretty good. A lot better than the last experience we had. We will be back!

This was my second or third time to this Applebee's. We hadn't been back in over a year until now. I was not impressed in the least and had a bad experience last time with service amongst everything else. This time was so different from the moment we pulled up. We saw a couple of reserved parking and I figured it was take-out parking or something. It said, "US Veterans Reserved Parking" WOW.... that is great! The manager greeted us at the front and seated us. He was friendly and it was a great welcome. The server took a bit longer than expected to get to the table, however, she was friendly and upbeat. We ordered appetizers and an entree and one of the appetizers didn't taste right. They took care of it and gave me a new one immediately. They didn't ask what I wanted, but made suggestions and made it right immediately. Her pleasant personality and quick to fill our drinks often topped the great service and food all around. The only suggestion would be to turn down the music some. I don't know if it is a new manager, but definitely changes have been made for the good. I'll go back if I'm in the area again.

Ok 5 stars for the veterans day celebration they put on in this particular applebee"s. Fantastic service and the free meal for us veterans is truly appreciated. However the food was just ok. It was actually the first time I had been to an applebee's since the last veterans day. Food was lacking but service was truly great for a chain restaurant.

I cannot stress to you enough. DO NOT EAT HERE!! Horrible service. Horrible food. They were not that busy but it took 10 minutes to bring 4 of us water and tea. After that we ordered 2 apps and our meals. It took 20 minutes to bring our apps and 5 minutes after that we got our meals. Our app was ok but our food was cold. All we ordered was chicken tenders and some pasta. First of all, why it takes 30 minutes to deliver is beyond me. Second, it was obviously ready and sitting in a window somewhere getting cold. Third, we had our pasta recooked and a manager never came by to apologize or anything. The server was rude and kept walking away before I was finished talking to her and she constantly rolled her eyes. Not just with us but at other tables around us. It's been a long time since I have not left a tip. I made sure she knew I gave her a big fat $0.00. I had a bad experience last year at this location and thought I'd give them another try. BIG mistake. I will NOT be returning to this location even if I was paid to eat there. I wouldn't pee on this place if it was on fire. Also, look at some of the pictures of this place on here. This place is nasty.

Where do I begin?!? I went to Applebee's expecting a nice dinner after a long day at work. I had been to the same location in the past and it was great. This time, it seemed nothing went right. They sat me and my friend in the coldest part of the restaurant. Which was ok, I can handle the cold. The waitress "Julie" was really nice. I ordered the chicken broccoli pasta and a side salad. She asked if I wanted the salad out first and of course I did. About 10 minutes later our food shows up by another waitress. No side salad for me. Lol. The size of the chicken broccoli pasta was very small, and there was no bread. Julie soon returned and asked how everything was and I told her I didn't get the salad, she apologized and made sure it wasn't on the check. So I asked for some bread to go with my dinner. About 5 minutes later she returned again with a small plate and one piece of bread (I'm not kidding when I say it was the size of a cheese stick). I tried not to be a pain so I just ate my food. But I go to break the piece of bread and could not do it. No I'm not that weak or famished. It honestly was the hardest piece of bread I've ever been served. A friend of mine tried to cut it with his knife and it wouldn't even cut. At this point I was just wanting dinner over with. We did however have the triple chocolate meltdown for desert. It was really good. Overall it was just an ok experience for me. Sometimes things just don't go so great.

I went here once with a friend for dinner after a day of shopping. The food was good, and everything was, you know, okay. No complaints; it just wasn't very memorable.

I am away on business and staying at hotel behind this restaurant. So against my better judgement I walked in. Being alone I sat at the bar. The bar tender was on a bad mood or at least looked it. After 5 minutes she asked for my drink order. I actually went to eat, so 5 minutes later I had to ask for a menu. 20 minutes later I left. Nothing but bad attitude and lousy service. Eating McDonalds for dinner.

I went to Applebee's Grill & Bar expecting to have a pleasant dining experience and was less than pleased. I ordered the rodeo burger and my friend ordered the chicken broccoli pasta with a side salad. Twenty minutes passed by and our waitress was no where to be found. Unfortunately neither was the side salad. When the food finally arrived we asked about the side salad and realized that it had been forgotten. The chicken broccoli pasta's portion was so small that we asked if we could have bread and the waitress eagerly went to the back to grab some. When she returned with a single small roll we actually thought we were on a hidden camera show. To make matters even worse the bread seemed to be made of concrete because it would not break, nor could it be cut using a knife. I even sawed at it with the knife I used to cut my hamburger and left no mark on the bread. The only saving grace was the dessert. According the the menu, the triple chocolate meltdown would erupt in your mouth with all of the chocolate upon first bite. Intrigued, I ordered it and was not disappointed. It was everything the menu said it would be and more. It was a chocolate explosion! I recommend sharing it with a friend because it is a little too much to handle. Also worth mentioning is the music. I enjoyed almost every song they had playing on the radio, especially Britney Spear's "Circus."

Awesome service! Our server was awesome and attentive. I was in visiting my sister and cleaning my mothers house to get ready to sell. We were tired and a horrible storm blew through. Rebecca W. was very nice and did a fantastic job. The brunette hostess was also very nice and sweet. Good sense of humor.. Food was delish....We were there 4/3/2015 sometime around 8

My Girlfriend and I dined here around 5pm on a Tuesday while we waited for a vehicle loan to go through. We were greeted at the door by a very nice older woman and then quickly taken care of by our Waitress. The drinks arrived quickly and our appetizer and entrees were as fresh and hot as they possibly could be! I had not been a fan of Applebee's until visiting this location. Great atmosphere, service and nicely seasoned & fresh food. "A+"

My mom really likes the green bean crispas. That is the only reason I would give them 2 stars. Our dinner was ruined when my husband and I we're served and my mother waited. The waitress didn't bring the food, a runner did so they didn't know where the last meal was. When the waitress finally came by, she blamed the kitchen and then rushed over to the computer terminal. We waited... . . . . I asked another employee if he could find out what the problem was. We never saw the original waitress again. My husband had to begin eating, he had ordered the pasta. I had a pork chop and sweet potato casserole. I had to pour off all the greasy butter. Won't go back.

I'll tell you, sometimes it doesn't matter how special the menu is or where the wine comes from. The customer service here is the perfect example of the southern hospitality you'll receive in Knoxville.I'll come here again.

Beware Applebee's diners. On February 14, 2015, our high school sports team of 35 people ate dinner here. Fifteen (15) experienced moderate to severe, medically treated, food poisoning symptoms which was traced to the meals served at this Applebee's. Our group is especially appalled that the management and staff at the Applebee's accepts no responsibility for this incident. Two years ago at this same Applebee's, there were a few reported cases of food poisoning following meals eaten there but no connection was made at that time. This year it is clear that the restaurant has historical issues of poor hygiene and food sanitation. Please join our protest and avoid/boycott Applebee's for your our health and safety and for your support of bad business practices.

Been here a couple times and the serving sizes seemed to be a little skimpy. Which ordinarily I wouldn't mind as my fat butt could use less calories. However, when ya pay $12 for a salad make it bigger than an appetizer salad. Service was mediocre as well. BTW, taste of food was good.
