What an amazing place. The view of the river is great, but the food and beer selection is incredible. I had the philly cheese steak pizza and a margarita, and the pizza was the best I've had in ages. Gouda on a pizza? Great idea. The bartender was friendly and welcoming. Chatted with the owner for awhile, and it was wonderful to hear stories of South Dakota. I would come back to Yankton just for this place.

The Landing landed my wife and her daughter in the commode. Both my wife and her daughter had the same grilled portobello salads and they both got the trotters. We are on vacation and now they are spending the first day in the bathroom. My hamburger was okay but had a funny taste I could not quite place. Part of the meat was fine but another part seemed "off." My family enjoyed their beers though. Back to Taco John's for us. Won't get sick and we'll leave with money in our pockets.

Delicious lunch. Too hot to sit outside but we got a window seat. Salmon was delicious as was the spinach salad with added shrimp

For a relatively upscale experience in Yankton, SD, this is the place to go. The food is always good, as is the service. I moved here from a bigger city and really missed the availability of good restaurants for the occasional night out. The Landing is now our go-to place. It is also where I bring the majority of my work clients for business lunches, etc. Love this place! So happy that they decided to become a full-service restaurant!

Great food and beer selection. I love the outdoor space and occasional live music. It's a more spendy option for dinner, but lunch is good too. Really enjoy wine Wednesdays and the special beer and wine events. Plus they do special events and catering. Hope to book them for a big event next year. Great job turning an old wine and beer bar into a real dining experience.

The food was top notch for Yankton. Service was great and awesome selection of beers. Lunch is great also. Expect to dig into your wallet and you might have to wait a while for a table, but worth it. Out door space is nice as well. Would have given five stars if it wasn't for the limited tables and price. If you have the time and the money, well worth a stop

We come to Yankton often and we are always looking for a new dining alternative. We were pleasantly surprised to find The Landing. It was a beautiful summer night and we were comfortably seated on the large patio. The crab cake appetizer had three large cakes with a delicate sauce. With a side of steak fries it made a great meal. My husband had the prime rib hoagie served with Au jus which he described as tender but, somewhat bland. He commented that a nice addition might have been some caramelized onions or some French mustard. They had a surprisingly diverse wine list, that had a wide selection of both variety and price. It was a nice touch that the chef stopped by our table to see how we were doing. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was overall a quite pleasant evening.

I moved from Seattle and was looking for a place with good food matched with an interesting list of wine and beer. I haven't had any meal that I wouldn't have again. Pasta night doesn't disappoint. The pomodoro sauce is my favorite!

Wow! I was really surprised to find this diamond in the rough. We moved here from California and all but gave up on finding a good place to eat that actually cared about the food they put in front of their customers. Not only did they have awesome food, they had a huge beer and wine selection. The staff was fantastic! Really knowledgeable and really nice!, The head Chef Scott, even came out to make sure we were happy with everything. These are the little touches that keep us coming back. We've been here at least once a week and have tried a few dishes and appetizers (all great). I can't even suggest something to try because it's all really good. I can't wait to try it all. I think my favorite thing is that it's more of an adult atmosphere. All in all, my favorite place since we moved here. Keep it up, and thank you!

My husband and I decided to eat at the Landing on a recommendation from a local. Boy, were we glad we did. Not only is there a wonderful selection of wines and beers, but the staff are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have about their extensive collection. The appetizer menu had a variety of different cuisines, but we opted to get right to the main course. Hubby ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon, I had the truffle Mac n' Cheese. Best pasta of my LIFE, and the filet was cooked to perfection and so tender and flavorful. Wished we had had time to finish off the meal with dessert. I should also mention that the atmosphere is really neat. People in blue jeans but also business casual, and the quiet chatter mixed with soft, contemporary music set a very pleasant mood. Would definitely reccomend to friends and will be coming back soon!

I've been here numerous times to catch up with friends over wine and have always had a great experience with friendly staff and a nice wine selection. Last night a friend and I decided to have dinner here as well, we were not disappointed. I had the Spinach Mac & Cheese w/ Mushrooms & White Truffle Oil. It was delicious! We will be making this a regular dinner spot from here on. As a side note, it is close enough to the walking bridge over the river, that we decided to go for a quick walk after dinner. It was a beautiful evening, and we could tell ourselves that we worked off a glass of wine or two. A great finish the dinner!

The Landing is consistently quality. From monthly wine/beers tastings, to the daily specials and dinner service you can't go wrong. I have probably tried most items on the menu and have never had a complaint. The best appetizer is the salmon naan. I could eat like 12 of them. The nacho platter is HUGE and delicious as well. Everything is great! Lots of choices for beer and wine, not to mention the view of the river when sitting out on the patio. Finally a quality restaurant in Yankton.

Yankton's hidden gem. I've had several meals at The Landing. The entrees were excellent, including the filet mignon. The naan bread isn't truly Indian style but is very tasty -- my favorite with salmon. The beer menu is extensive. You'd think you're in a big city. Local microbrews plus beer like 312 from Chicago. Particularly deep beer menu if you like hoppy beers like IPAs (I do not). Atmosphere is excellent. I spend a lot of time in Yankton visiting family and it's thee best place. In the summer, the outdoor patio has a great view of the river. Desserts? I've tried several. The cheesecake and carrot cake are my favorites, particularly high quality. As good as it gets, indeed.
