I got a steak here one night. It was good it comes with the salad bar so I really had a steak salad. The beef soup on the salad bar was better then most places also. I think they put steak in the soup. They have a good salad bar also. Except for that pickled fish on the salad bar. I try things sometimes-usually before I put them on my plate if I don't know what they are, or if I haven't been to that location before so I don't know if it's good. apparently alot of people requested it on the salad bar, but I had one chew and let it fall out of my mouth. Gave me gross chills, chewy slimy, way to fishy tasting. picked fish? ewwww.. if I can't eat it... thats not a good sign, but I guess some people in this area like it, but I deff do not like it! I can eat real raw fish, sushi everyday of my life and be happy. but sushi doesn't really taste like raw fish or what u would think raw fish taste like.

Clifford's Steak & Ale Is Now Connected To The Guest House. The Steak There Is AMAZING! My Mom & I Went There To Celebrate Our Birthdays, My Mom Ordered The Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon & Tempura Shrimp. I Tasted The Steak & Shrimp. The Steak Was So Tender, And The Shrimp Was By Far The Best Seafood In Town. I Had The 12oz. Rib Eye Steak. That Steak Was By Far THE BEST STEAK IN TOWN... IF NOT IN ALL OF South Dakota. All Meals Start With Soup Or Salad. We Both Had The Salad. It Was A Good Salad. The Ranch Dressing Is The Best Ranch I Have Ever Tasted. Then Your Meal Comes With Your Steak, Rins, Seafood (whatever you ordered). Also Comes With Choice Of Baked, Garlic Mashed, Or Fries As A Potato. And A Cup Of Succulent Ju. It Was Not Only The Best Food In Town. But Our Server Was Fantastic!!! Thank You Clifford's Steak & Ale For Becoming Our Go To Restaurant In Town. Such An Amazing Meal!!!!

We were a family of ten on a very quiet night. The food came out in a timely manner, but that was the end of the good part of the night. The salad was extremely wet and moist. The Thousand Island Dressing was mayonnaise/relish mix. The fried shrimp and sweet potatoes fries were all batter and no shrimp or potato. Moreover, the steak was cooked well done even though I asked for it medium rear. Worst of all, the local town drunk came over and started talking to our group. We were very nice to him and had a pleasant conversation for two minutes. However, it quickly turned for the worse when he came back to our table 15-minutes later much more inebriated. He began insulting multiple members of my family. The owner and our server stood by the bar and watched. (At this point, they need to step in and help move the customer.) Eventually, we called over the owner and server to escort the drunk away from our table. The owner came over and escorted the drunk away. Then, the owner apologized and comped one of our meals. Sadly, the insults were already handed out and feelings were hurt. As we were exiting, a member of our party walked to the kitchen door and said to the 17-year old cook, "Did you cook that food?" Cook - "Yea." Member - "That was really bad. Did you go to cooking school?" Cook - "Get the fuck out of my kitchen!" The co-owner came over and asked us to not enter the kitchen and to leave. We said we were leaving and that we never entered the kitchen. As we were headed to our cars, the owner came out and told our member of the party that he was out of line and he should never enter the kitchen. We explained that we never entered the kitchen; however, that he did tell the cook that the food was very bad. After a lengthy discussion, the owner called the cops. The cops were outstanding problem solvers and allowed us to leave and asked the owner to go back inside.

Surf and turf - pepper seasoning on steak a little over powering but still good. Shrimp was awesome! My husband had the Delmonico ribeye and loved it. I tried it and the creole season was a little spicy for me. Disappointed in salad as it was just lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese. Our son loved the hash browns. Overall food was good but a little pricey for the area. If I was ever in the area again I would probably stop again.
