This is one of the best vegan pizzas I've ever had and it was in SOUTH DAKOTA!?!?! And they got it right the first time! Usually whenever you order a pizza with no cheese, it comes to your table with cheese and you have to send it back. But not this time! We all were totally impressed with this pizza, and everything else in the place was very, very nice, too. Our friend just had to try the Chuck Norris drink and she said it was tasty. All in all, great place to eat. Thick Specialty Pizza $16.25 Pitcher of Fat Amber beer $10.50 Chuck Norris shot $5.00 plus tax, total was $32.89

Terrible ! Processed cheese service Nikki. was more interested in other waitresses hair than waiting on tables. This was so bad I do not want to leave one star although cook was pleasant when I asked for mayo since no service to be found.

You know what you're getting when you park and read the signs. Bar. Beer. Burgers. If you think you're going to get prime rib or escargot, you'll be sadly disappointed. If you want bottled or canned beer and a burger in a paper basket, you'll be satisfied.

Family of 4 (kids 17 and 20) came in for pizza with no expectations...just passing thru Wall on the way to the Badlands. Had a 16" thin crust half supreme and hale 5 meat. We all agreed it was outstanding! Beers were super cold. Great dive bar atmosphere but not nasty. Service was fine...not too much but not too little. Would definitely come again. And recommend.

I gave this bar a 5 star because it is as good as it gets on the "local"/"dive" bar category. Super cool environment; great bartenders (non-foreign guys), good beer, full bar, reasonable prices. Pizza is actually pretty good. The kind of place you want to hang out and never leave! Also LOVE the possum over the bar. I said non-foreign because they hire these young servers for help that simply do not have the same feel.

A decent bar with good beer selection. I was able to enjoy a beer and watch a bit of a baseball game while the guys made up a couple of pizzas for the family back at the cabins. The pizzas were very good. I thought the price was reasonable. They would have gotten 5 stars but the cook gave us a pepperoni pizza instead of the meat lovers I asked for. But it's vacation so who cares? Overall, it was a decent bar. Not pretentious. I received very good service.

After ordering the large burger without a bun, I heard the waiter tell someone at another table that the burgers were from frozen patties. It was too late to change my order. They did offer to wrap the burger in lettuce, which I accepted. Not only was the burger a preformed frozen patties like you get at a wholesale club, it did not have a thing on it. A plain burger wrapped in lettuce. No tomatoes, onion, or pickles. It was disgusting. After eating the fries, I found some pickles at the bottom of the container. Great place to hide them. Extremely expensive for what I got.

Well stopped here since it said buffalo burgers... I love me some buffalo. Got here and it's all 100% frozen. Which is sooo disappointing. Got the chicken strips instead. Reminds me of old 90s school chicken strips. I like it. Fried are kinda bad. But since everything is frozen burger wise you get a low rating.

Clean place but ... beer was barely cool. We had to flag down the waiter after 2 other employees asked if we had been helped. A 1/4 lb Buffalo Burger basket was a burger on a bun! A little below average burger! No lettuce, onion, ketchup or mustard! Oh ya, one small pickle spear! Fries were good! Everybody was coming up to the bar to get their check. Wait staff was apologizing to everyone for slow service or messed up orders. Probably not coming back!

We were starving and looking for breakfast but it was super hot outside so we decided to give this place a try to get out of the scorching heat and it was already noon. We walked inside and it was nice and air conditioned and we were prompted seated in a booth and given menus. The waitress was nice and we ordered the 1/3 buffalo burger basket, a chicken strips basket and a Bloody Mary. My cocktail was great and came in a carafe for one! W00t w00t. The food came and my burger was super hot but that's about it. It was pretty meh and came with no fixings except for some pickles. The fries were really good though. I was so happy about my Bloody that i really didn't mind that my food wasn't that delicious at the time. My boyfriend, Pete fared a lot better with his chicken strips. They were pretty tasty, especially when dipped into the honey mustard sauce. Overall, it was OK. I think it's a good place to stop in to cool off and have some cold drinks after walking around Wall Drug across the street. It's good for families and there's a lot of seating.

It is not easy to write a bad review on a small local place that is probably struggling to survive but we just had such a frustrating experience there. There are few choices for food and a drink in this small town. The place had a nice crowd but it was not filled to capacity. The young bartender was completely overwhelmed and scattered. We sat at the bar for over half an hour for service. Then it took forever to get our drinks. It was a repeat with the food. We were there for 2 hours total-- for one drink and a hamburger. The wait was exhausting after a long day's drive. The Burger and fries were okay- not great but definitely tasty. I just hope this horrible service was an exception and not the rule.

First off, keep in mind I came here once in April (during the off season) and coincidentally the night there was a. Big snow storm. There were probably 5 people in the bar when I arrived. Seems like they were all locals. The staff is friendly enough, but not overly or "touristy" friendly. It is first and foremost a dive bar so definitely go in with that mentality. Drinks and beers are cheap. Eats are cheap, though mostly straight from the frozen food section. For me, it was perfectly fine for a "stranded in Wall, SD and need a cheap meal for the night" but don't expect anything beyond bar food and a bar environment. It's like any other dive you've ever been to, and nothing more, nothing less.

People, it pays to listen to the bartender. I asked for his recommendations for pizza, and told him to make it how he would make it. I got two large pizzas: one cheese, and one pepperoni. OMG. Thick crust, with well-done cheese on top, and supreme yum. I just came here from Chicago (lived there recently, and road tripping this time through), and this can compare with the good stuff you find there. This bar's pizza is a keeper.

This is a really neat Place, especially during the winter, when most (if not all) the tourists are gone. If you enjoy hiding among the locals for fun, this Place is quite the experience. It is more of a calmer, adult atmosphere, as opposed to the more 'wilder,' atmosphere associated with the yonger crowd, which apparently gathers at the neighboring bar, a few spots to the South. I verified these opinions with one local resident. I recommend the "Cheeseburger Basket." I admit, the quality of the food might vary, depending on the attitude and mood of the various staff, which seems to improve in the absence of an excess of tourists they will likely never see again. For many obvious reasons, they care more for their local, repeat customers than "one-timers." Also, if you desire a real taste of the Mid-West, they have Grain-Belt beer, which is available by asking for it specifically. It is not on the menu. This is just a fun place to have a beer, a cheeseburger, and "people-watching."

On my Burger Quest, we stopped in Wall SD. The Wall Drugstore, which is the huge toures trap there, the food looked all frozen. So we crossed the street to the Badlands Bar. I had the buffalo burger. While Teds Montana Grill blowes them out of the water, this is a bar. The prices were good and the staff was really friendly. Recomend over Wall Drugstore. And if you are a biker on your way to Sturges, I think you would enjoy it.

I can't speak to the bar experience or the food there. My tip is that that they have carryout liquor service. We couldn't find a liquor store in Wall, so we bought a 6-pack there at a reasonable price.

Just keep moving.... bad / rude server. Limited menu. Did I mention rude staff? We actually got halfway through our order, cancelled it and left. I have NEVER done that before.

We stopped at the Badlands Bar after visiting the Badlands National Park on a drive out to Colorado. It is in the little strip of storefronts across from Wall Drug and one of the only places we saw to eat in town. They had a decent beer selection and only served pizza and burgers so we thought how bad could it be? Well, It was pretty bad. I had a buffalo burger, which being in South Dakota, seemed like a pretty safe bet. Not only was the burger awful, the bartender walked up and down the bar swatting flies the whole time we were eating. I'm not talking about nailing a fly or two, this guy swatted well over 20. The place was covered in them. Not sure how many other options there are in Wall, SD but I suggest looking for another.

We love this bar! We talk about it all the time. On our honeymoon going to pheasant hunt in legendary SD, we stopped in Wall for a shower, some shut eye & a burger. The Badland's Bar quickly became a highlight of our experience! Not only was bartender Dave & the burgers awesome, but just coming off the road, they treated us like locals. Thanks to the warm welcome, we're on the hunt of our lives the next morning! Are you kidding me?! We'll never forget our experience in Wall SD. Can't wait to bring our friends for another visit. From Oregon with love!
