it's really great place for pizza. best pizza I have. we are here....we are eat. perfect. all of my friend give them 5 stars.....
After visiting Mount Rushmore we decided to spend the rest of the day walking around Keystone. We were hungry and this place sounded as good as any other. The prices are decent, and they have a few different specials. There was plenty of outdoor seating, and they even have some balcony seating. You also can sign the pizza boards they have hanging on the wall. It was really fun to see and read over them. The waitress was friendly, and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately the food was completely average. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. I'd probably skip this place if we came back again.
Loved this place! Amazing pizza, great prices, and wonderful staff!! You must try Jane's!!

We stayed in Keystone for three nights and we had dinner at Big Time Pizza twice. It's that good. The crust is just the perfect amount of thickness and softness, the cheese tastes like real cheese... it's wonderful. Our first night we ate here just because it was on the first floor of our hotel and we were exhausted. Pizza sounded great. We went with the 16" pizza (1/2 cheese and pepperoni) and devoured it. Our last night in town my kids wanted to go back to Big Time Pizza again. We decided to get the largest pizza, and that was a bit ambitious, but we still finished it. We had a long chat with one of the owners. She was having a Russian beer and rolling silverware and we struck up a conversation. She's pretty awesome, and we left feeling like we had all the local scoop. The beer selection here is fun. Russian beers (you can get a pitcher of one type for only $8). We tried a few different ones and liked them, however the pitcher has a bit of a peculiar taste. Probably tastes better after you've had a few of the others first. Even though this is a generally touristy town Big Time Pizza will make you feel like a local. It's no fuss and super tasty.
The best pizza in the Black Hills! Big Time Pizza is the perfect place to stop while vacationing in South Dakota. Just minutes from Mount Rushmore, it is a convenient place to stop. The pizza is delicious and affordably priced! My favorite is the Firehouse Pizza which has, jalapenos, banana peppers, and pepperoni. The Buffalo pizza is another great choice! I highly recommend Big Time Pizza, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
Great pizza not a fancy place but great. Had to get own drinks located inside hotel. We had a large group and food was delivered fast.

My wife and I were looking for a B&B in South Dakota instead of the usual Hotel. Because there are limited nice Hotels in this area, we preferred to go the B&B option. The B&B is situated about 5,000 ft. above sea level on several acres of land. The drive is absolutely beautiful and you are in close proximity to all the area attractions (Mt. Rushmore, etc). Amenities: The room we stayed in was very cozy and had all the nice amenities you would expect from a B&B. Not too large, but not too small. The hosts make you feel at home so don't feel shy about asking them questions. Your room is actually part of the house, so your room is across the hallway from other visitors. We didn't mind because our neighbors were very respectable and there are only two other rooms. The doors lock, however you don't get a key to your room so the back door stays open. They have an open door policy and I didn't find this to be a problem. Our car was parked within a short distance to our back door so there was no need to lug your gear up any challenging walkways. Everything was neat and clean and your room is cleaned daily. The food is exceptional. Leslie is a gourmet cook and will accommodate any needs you have (like Gluten free). She makes a great variety of foods in each of her breakfast so it is not the same every time. The portions are just right and it gets you enough food to get you through a good part of the day. Travel: You will do a lot of driving as you have to go about 6 miles of winding beautiful road down to the town of Keystone everyday you travel. It takes about 15 minutes. You need to watch for wildlife because there is a lot of it! Company: Leslie and Ron were wonderful hosts and they know a wealth of knowledge about the area. Other: They have two animals: a very loving Lab and Cat. They were very well behaved animals and they didn't bother us in the slightest. Price: The price was very comparable to a Hotel, but here you receive a full course breakfast and the beautiful surroundings without the noisy crowds of a hotel. We would definitely stay here again if given the chance!

Teddy’s Deli

Was in Keystone this past weekend and good food seems to be a bit hard to come by in these parts of South Dakota. Teddy's deli was a great place for lunch. I had the Jr. Reuben...they use a panini maker so, crunchy bread with gooey deliciousness on the inside? HEAVEN!!! The flavors all worked well together, the sauce was perfect and the cheese was melted to perfection! The service was good and the employees were friendly...if I return to the area I will definitely return!!! Whether you eat in or take something to go on a picnic, you will not be disappointed! 2 thumbs up Teddy's! WAY TO GO!!!
I ate here with some friends on the way to Mt. Rushmore. The food was mediocre at best. The hamburger melt tasted like a frozen burger. Way over priced for something that poor. Though the thing that bothered me most was the bathroom. If I had gone in there before I ate, I wold have left immediately. The floor was sticky and smelled like urine. Nothing looked like it had been cleaned in weeks, and there were no paper towels. I get the feeling this place relies on people passing through, not repeat business. Skip this place if you're in town...in fact, skip the whole tourist trap of a town.
Deli was ok- decent options- a bit over priced. Pleasant staff but for a turkey sandwich on a lettuce wrap (gluten free) it was $8! It's not as if the ingredients were organic or anything! I guess it's in a touristy area but I felt it was a bit over priced and just ok. Forgot to include to-go items like napkins and utensils too.

Food is good. I had the Buffalo burger and a side salad. Both were good. My friend have the buffalo chicken strips. She said they were ok they weren't hot or spicy at all. they also have a separate vegetarian menu. My friend that had the veggie burger said it was very good. The decor is rustic, tourist, nostalgic. The restaurant is very clean with good service.
We ordered the buffalo burger and chicken fajitas. The burger was ok, the bun was unexceptional. The fajitas were marginal, onions were undercooked and the meat was like chicken strips. Service was friendly but very slow.
I'm very picky with my food. I give this place a 4.5 all around. Service was a 5. Waitress was very nice and attentive. Atmosphere was very chill. Food was a 4.8. My steak was delicious, and alcoholic drinks compliment it well. Highly recommend.

I loved this little candy shop in Keystone. The main thing I saw that drew me in was the fluffy divinity candy. My grandma used to make this stuff, and I rarely see it for sale, so that made me really happy. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as grandma's but still close enough. We were just in the shop briefly but the cashier who helped us was very friendly. I'll be sure to go back when I visit Keystone again.
I had a tasty morning Latte with Macadamia Nut syrup here. Also picked up a Dark Chocolate Haystack (coconut) and a Dark Chocolate Almond Cluster. The dark chocolate is pretty good and I liked both items I ordered. Friendly staff. Good decor showcasing their truffle and Keystone.
Went to Turtle Town on vacation and ordered ice cream in waffle cones, strawberry fruit smoothie, and a coffee milkshake. The waffle cones leaked, the "fruit" for the smoothie was a disgusting syrup, and the coffee milkshake was all milk and no flavor. We asked for a new milkshake and it was just as flavorless, asked for a refund on the smoothie and the manager said she couldn't do a refund because she would have to void it out on her register. When we asked her to go ahead and void it, she just stood there and stared at us and didn't respond. There are plenty of other places to go on the Keystone boardwalk for ice cream- go to any except Turtle Town!

We were told everything was homemade from scratch, but that couldn't be the case. We're from San Diego, and you don't serve white rice with Mexican food. Re-fried beans were definitely from a can and the "Franks Hot Sauce" tasted like enchilada sauce mixed with Tabasco and served in a dish, not the original bottle. Average at best and over-priced as well. 4 diners with different meals and nothing impressive about any of it. It was convenient to the hotel, but we didn't return for another meal. Go to the Powder House, you won't be disappointed, only a 5 minute drive away.
The food came out cold, but the service was awesome.... Two young ladies working so hard to make sure everything is good.
Keep looking! Just about anywhere has got to be better! Smoked chicken had an odd texture and was very pink inside. My husband ordered the Burrito. What a mistake... The burrito was covered in Cheese Whiz ( yes, seriously) and was accompanied with canned refried beans and white rice with melted cheese on top. The waitress was surly, and seemed confused even with the drink order. All in all, this place sucks!

We ate here after finding our pizza place of choice was closed until later in the afternoon. The pizza was very average. The toppings were pretty good, and the edge of the crust was nice and crisp, but the bottom crust was very soft and tasted soggy. There was a tip jar at the ordering counter, which was fine, but they also had plastic glasses on the table which said something like "If you liked the service, please leave a tip, if you didn't, please let us know". I don't remember the exact words, but it was something like that. Basically, it was saying either put money in the jar, or talk to us. We already put money in counter jar, but this almost made us feel obligated to leave more. Inappropriate in my opinion.
Pizza was CRAZY expensive, especially when you add the 10% surcharge for parties of four or more (yes, insanely, that includes takeout). There are tip jars in literally EVERY corner of this place, begging for you to throw more money at them. We made the mistake of stopping here because they were open late...BIG MISTAKE. The taste of the pizza was so-so, but the lack of plentiful toppings is embarrassing. The owner of this place is clearly intent on milking every penny out of the tourist crowd, and he/she has created an angle to do so for every part of the transaction (they even charge you $3 to use your debit card). Hopefully enough people will read the reviews here and steer clear of this place.
We ordered from here in spite of the reviews because we had been driving all day and our hotel said they would deliver. Big mistake. This place is way over priced. Just under $50 for two 13" pizzas. For that price I would expect it to be the best pizza I've ever had. It was just ok. And they only take cash. I don't know how they stay in business.

Didn't think it was that bad for breakfast. Stopped here in the morning before heading to Mt. Rushmore, was quick and service was good. Don't know what everyone else is talking about, I wouldn't mind coming here again.
We had breakfast on our way to see Mt Rushmore and other sites in the Black Hills. The food was good, as was the service. Prices typical for the area.
If I could give them a -* I would. This place was the WORST meal weve had on our 10 day trip so far. We were both hungry for fried chicken & this place had a sign that said "Home Cooking" so we decided to go here for dinner. The fried chicken was inedible!!!! Have you ever warmed up fried chicken & left it in the oven 4 times longer than you should??? That would be this so called chicken. I got about 2 bites out of 3 pieces. People next to us ordered burgers & they were pre formed frozen burgers that had been nuked!!! Do NOT go to this place!!!!!

Sat and waited over five minutes before someone finally came to our table. The food came out really fast though and was really good. The french fries looked burnt but most of them were actually good. While we were eating I noticed they were turning off the open signs and when we went to leave the doors were locked because they were closing which was really weird considering it was 2:15 on a Friday. Also when we were paying the cashier couldn't figure out how to make 9¢ change...
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was mediocre at best, had to ask for drink refills and extra napkins. We looked at the $9.99 salad bar and were disappointed to find one large bowl of lettuce and four buckets with salad toppings. Ended up ordering a couple beef burgers and a sage roasted chicken. Burgers were okay, though slightly overdone. I ordered sweet potato fries and got regular instead. Had to ask for my fries. The sage roasted chicken was NOT cooked and the baked potato was hard and crunchy. The food and the check took a very long time and it was not a pleasant dining experience. Save yourself the time and the stomachache.
This is the worst place to eat!!! Save yourself!!! Don't come here!!! Service really bad. Food is extremely horrible!!!
