Had the garbage burger, its huge and has lots of flavor. Service was a little slow but they were extremely busy. Not a bad place to take the family out for dinner.

The service here is absolutely terrible from the moment you walk in the door. We walked in and the young man who greeted us asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We declined and asked for a booth. He then says, "Sure, if you want to follow me?", and then just stood there until I said, "Ok." LOL - Awkward. Of course, we're going to follow you - we came in the door, didn't we? And you're the host, right? We then sit for a few and look over the menu. (Meanwhile a mom and her two pre-teen daughters sit in the booth behind us.) After about 15 minutes, a waitress comes by and takes our drink order and our meal order (because we had plenty of time to decide.) We both ordered a cocktail - a Long Island Ice Tea and water. My partner ordered the "Garbage Burger (well-done) with Seasoned Fries". I ordered the "Daily Double (well-done) with regular fries. Then we waited... and waited... The people behind us got their food and were eating before we got our drinks! But they had a different server. I don't know where ours would disappear to between times. At about 20 minutes, she brings our Long Islands, but they didn't taste quite right - not bad, just not a standard Long Island Ice Tea. There should be a recipe somewhere... Then more waiting. Finally after about 40 minutes, a kitchen wait staff brought our burgers. We then asked for ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. He went and got those. We also realized we had no silverware or napkins, but he graciously got us those, too. My partner's burger was still reddish in the middle. Our waitress didn't come check back on the food, so eventually we had to flag down the host and have him take it back. My burger and fries were okay, but nothing special. Finally about 20 minutes after we sent the undercooked burger back, they brought a whole new plate. Fortunately, the burger was cooked appropriately this time. The Garbage Burger tasted okay. The seasoned fries were overly salty and nearly inedible. Every time the waitress would come back (when she did) - to bring the menu, or drinks, to get a to-go box, or to take the check, there was like a 10-20 minute wait, which is perplexing because the server station was literally right behind us! We were one of only three booths occupied, too, so it wasn't a question of "busy-ness" - and there were other waitresses for the other booths. We won't go back and we wouldn't recommend this place due to poor service, poor food and poor drinks. FOOD: 0/5 Stars - salty, undercooked, unimaginative food offerings. SERVICE: 0/5 Stars - Terrible, just terrible PRESENTATION: 3/5 - The building is nicely decorated and the food "looked" good, at least. OVERALL: 1/5 stars Overpriced for the quality of food and service. You'd be better off somewhere else.

This place must have just opened very recently. I was traveling for work and stumbled across this place on the way into town. They have a decent menu with salads and burgers mainly with a good desert section and a reminder to order your cookies first so they will be hot-out-of-the-oven when you are ready for desert. They do have some calorie conscious selections with nutritional information next to them but most of the menu is standard American fair. They did have IBC diet root beer available but not much in diet sodas from the fountain machine. Overall, OK.

In our home town, M&E's has a great reputation as being a hot-spot, with great food and wonderful service. We were excited when we discovered one next door to our hotel in Aberdeen. I decided to order a fish & chips dinner to carryout to our room. I had not eaten for about 8 hrs. and was very hungry and looking forward to it. First, between the hotel and the restaurant (roughly 750 ft. apart) there was no way to just walk over. Not only a curb, but shrubs! So I got in my car to go 750 ft. to pick up our carryout order. Not a good idea in a sparsely-developed area of town, to block out what could be a steady customer source! The place was dead, maybe 3-4 tables in the entire place had customers. No one up front at all. I ended up walking around to the bar, only to find the bartender at the other end, eating a salad behind the bar. I finally had to walk halfway down the bar, since he didn't hear me try to get his attention the first time. My order was ready, I paid for it, and drove back 750 ft. to the hotel parking lot. When I got into my room and opened the bag, I was at a loss. I had asked to substitute broccoli for the coleslaw (which they say can be done gratis), and the broccoli smelled good. Turned out, it was the best thing about the meal, and the only thing they got right. There was no fork for the broccoli or fish for that matter. I ate the entire meal by hand and lots of napkins (that I already had) as: There weren't any napkins either. Nor was there any tartar sauce. Nor ketchup for the fries. They bragged this meal had "seasoned" fries-- it's right on the menu. Well, if you consider a ton of salt and nothing else "seasoned", you're definitely NOT familar with what seasoned fries are. I was looking for something similiar to Arby's curly fries, but these from M&E's were horrid. Luckily I had lots of drinks in my room to choke them down with. We really enjoy M&E's back home, but what a shock in Aberdeen. Horrible service, bland, tasteless food (if you don't consider the salt!). I sit here writing this with indigestion, and hope I brought some pills. Ugh.

Order garbage burger as medium rare. It looked more rare/ raw and didn't have really any warmth.

Slowest service on town. Took 20 minutes after we were seated for the waitress to bother to take our drink order. After we ordered the meal, after 30 minutes I'm still waiting. I guess it's my fault for ordering chicken when everyone else had burgers. I'll never come here again. Just an update here---took 40 minutes for the food order.

A great place for a burger in Aberdeen. The service was great, cookies amazing. Not sure if it is a chain or "Mom and Pop", but would definitely go back.

I love the burgers here. My husband and I come here when we are craving a burger and beer. The service can use some work, we often have slower service, there are inconsistencies.

One of the best places to eat in Aberdeen! Sometimes the service may be a bit slow, but this is usually because the place is then full...what does that tell you?...people like eating here. The food is indeed pretty darn good and has a good enough variety. I believe our favorite restaurant in the area. Management is excellent.
