Every time we eat here the food is very good. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. One of our favorites in Aberdeen. Monday is steak night.

Maybe one of the best steaks in Northeast SD - definately my favorite in Aberdeen. It's an old school establishment in a dark, musty-smelling building on main street. Bar is well stocked. Employees friendly. I've had steaks here but my favorite is the prime rib - it's tender, salty, proper fat content and the metallic iron finish of good beef. If you like good beef and alcohol, you will like the Flame.

So I got the steak tip pasta. The steak was phenomenal!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pasta was ok, a little bland... I will come back for the steak for sure!

Best and most consistent steak in town. This place is definitely old-school both in menu and decor. The wait staff is great and many of them have been there over twenty years. The approach to dining here is simple, but they do it well.

What's the deal with the vestibule here? When you're going in, you can't open the inner door unless you're standing outside with the outer door open. Kinda defeats the purpose of a vestibule, doesn't it? Service was mediocre. Took several minutes to be acknowledged before being seated. But no big deal. I ordered the ribs. They were good, if not a bit oversauced, but I guess I don't really mind that. The side salad was literally a plate of lettuce with a single little carrot and three onion slices. The mashed potatoes, while good, we're plain. I like this place and I'm sure I'll be back on a subsequent trip to Aberdeen, but I would also likely consider other options first.

Took my bf here when he came to visit last weekend on saturday night. Hunting season is still in full force around here so there were alot of hunters scattered here and there, there is a bar if you come in the side entrance from main street that you see first and you have to walk around it to get to the hostess table. We both decided to get steaks since we heard that this is the place to go for a good steak, I got the spinach salad with the warm bacon dressing which I enjoyed. We also got a glass of the featured wine which wasn't to bad. We both ordered our steaks medium rare and when the steaks came out they were closer to medium well. It was alright kind of bland, my wild rice pilaf tasted exactly like the uncle bens microwave minute rice..but I like it so it didnt bother me. I believe the bill was around 40 bucks at the end of the meal so it was pretty cheap but you get what you pay for, I preferred the steak that I got at Maverick's. I would come back here to try something else on the menu though.

Old fashioned and amazing...spiral staircase and all! Steak was perfectly cooked and tender (and not the insta-tender like at the chain restaurants) way better. Also, was probably the cleanest restaurant I've ever seen!

The Flame serves up the best damn steak in Aberdeen no questions asked. I once saw 2 old farts get into a fist fight at this place. This place is bad ass and will put hair on your chest. Oh and the service is outstanding! Just wish I lived closer! WHAT YOU LOOKIN AT BOY!
