This is good BBQ! Nice portions, perfectly prepared. I've had southern BBQ from North Carolina to Louisiana and you can put this up against any of them. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is quick and attentive. The Brunswick stew is also perfect. You will not be disappointed, and you will not leave hungry! Now go get some PIG!

Great place for Carolina style bbq. The ribs and brisket are awesome. If you like hot and spicy, you'll love their hot bbq sauce. Will be back for more!!!

The smoking pig is one of the best in the State and the best in Williamston. The portions are BIG and the cost is very good. I am glad i dont have to drive almost to Clemson to get great pulled pork anymore. The food is just as good at both places.

If you're going to have BBQ, this is the place. THE BEST BBQ I've ever had. Meats have nice smoke flavor, moist and well cooked. Sauces are outstanding complement whether you like vinegar, spicy, mustard or sweet. Sides are pretty standard plus some exceptional peach cobbler. Service is friendly and attentive. Short or no wait. Don't waste your money going anywhere else!

Our most favorite BBQ restaurant we have ever eaten at. We prefer this location over the original one located in Pendleton. We come here at least every other Friday, sometimes more. Never had any fat in the pork and it's always smoked perfectly every time. We are thankful they changed their slaw recipe back to the original! Smoking pig, don't fix something that isn't broken! Keep everything the way it has always been! Yum yum! Oh, and the service has always been very good! Drinks never fall below half full, my pet peeve!

Disappointed- pulled pork was charrred and dry.. Okra was dry and over fried. Dinner roll looked like it was store bought.

Delicious ribs!! Everything is a little too sugary for my taste, but the ribs are very good.

Iama Critic Rating - The Smoking Pig 2 - 5 Stars 720 Anderson Drive, Williamston, SC Our Experience: After numerous two and three star restaurants reviews the critic crew of Five Star Restaurant Reviews needed a break. So we drove away from Greenville to Williamston to try out the new Smoking Pig 2! We have been to the Smoking Pig in Pendleton numerous times and rated it the best brisket and ribs in the upstate. We were undecided whether they also serve the best pulled pork barbeque because there is a small dive in Greenville that serves some mighty good pulled pork. On a Friday night we arrived at the perfect moment and walked right into the packed restaurant. We were seated after ordering and from then on own experience was simply perfect. From the service to the food everything was great as long as you ignore the noise, because this little restaurant gets LOUD! Probably from everyone bragging about their order being better than their table mates. The Service - 5 Stars (30% tip) The service we received from our waitress was simply perfect. She was extremely helpful, courteous, and social. She always seemed to be at our table whenever there was a need. When there was no need, she was there providing us with information about the restaurant. It was a real treat to finally be served by a real waitress that had actually social abilities! It was obvious and clear that she loved her job and the restaurant. She was in fact a fantastic ambassador for The Smoking Pig. Sadly my check only identifies her as Server #15. For her extreme effort we provided a %30 $14 tip! We typically provide 20% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 18% for 4, 15% for 3, 12% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: Table Pork Rinds - 5 Stars A unique and spicy table condiment, these pig skin rinds are simply awesome and are probably the cause of all these noise as people constantly fight over these things. I know I fought over the biggest piece in the basket several times. $13.95 Half Slab of Smoked Ribs - 5 Stars These ribs are utterly incredible, fantastically smoky and generously meaty. Some of the best I have ever tasted anywhere in the country. And yes I have been to Oklahoma Joes, The Salt Lick and even Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous. The Smoking Pig's dry rub compliments the smoky flavor and plays magic music on your taste buds. Oh, and those other joints.... much more expensive! $0.00 Half a Smoked Chicken - 5 Stars Sadly The Smoking Pig in Pendleton and The Smoking Pig 2 in Williamston no longer serve smoked half chickens. But when they did it was phenomenal. So why don't they served smoked half chickens? Because customers failed to realize that when you smoke chicken perfectly the meat turns pink. And we have been taught that pink chicken is not cooked enough. This is a complete fallacy. Chicken is done when it reaches a certain temperature, not a certain color. $8.75 Smoked Chopped Chicken - 5 Stars I vastly preferred the presentation of the half chickens but this chopped chicken was very moist and tasty. It is not as smoky as the whole chicken but the reason has already been explained. $9.95 Chopped Pork - 5 Stars This pulled pork is a step or two above any pulled pork you can get. The Brunswick stew is magical in your mouth, but the coleslaw is rather ordinary. $12.95 Sliced Brisket - 5 Stars The brisket is utterly incredible, fantastically smoky and a generous portion, it is simply the best brisket I have ever tasted. The fries were very good, but the green beans are pointless, don't bother with them. Sadly it used to be only $11.45, but hey, it's only money, and this is the best brisket around. Various Sides: 5 Stars - sweet potato fries - wow, incredible 5 Stars - sweet potato crunch - superb 5 Stars - Brunswick stew - simply fantastic 5 Stars - loaded potato casserole 4 Stars - baked beans - good beans 4 Stars - coleslaw - a step above average 4 Stars - French fries - fries are better than most 4 Stars - jalapeno cheese grits - creamy and perfect 4 Stars - banana pudding with vanilla wafers - super creamy 3 Stars - green beans - boring, but what do you expect out of green beans! Total Bill: $63.86 for two adults including tax, a very generous tip and one soda fountain drink. This is significantly more than you are likely to spend per person. Final Thoughts: I am pretty amazed that The Smoking Pig opens a new restaurant and does not increase their prices! In today's market I see restaurants all over raising prices and reducing quality, but The Smoking Pig has done neither, and that makes them an awesome choice for dinner tonight!

Excellent Carolina Style BBQ... The staff was as nice as they could be. I had pulled pork and think that it was as good as it gets. My wife had chopped chicken and I have to admit that this will be the next thing I try from here. It was smoked to perfection and as tender as any chicken you have ever eaten. The stew was excellent also... I completely enjoyed the meal and would go back in a flash.

Good food! Large portions. Not for the faint at heart. A meat eaters paradise. Overall. Should be five stars but gave it four ONLY because we ordered two orders of dry ribs but only had only left. Running out of a particular item is two fold: positive - a hot item well liked negative- isn't a good thing when you are not able to get it. I highly recommend. Servers are attentive and make rounds quite often. Owner or manger checks with every customer to ensure everything ok. Always a good sign for me that they are in touch with the customer. The family and I will definitely be back to eat at this hidden jewel of the Upstate.

We had glazed ribs, okra, sweet potato fries. All was very tasty, but the ribs were dry and tough. Couldn't finish the meat . Okra is awesome as well as the fries.
