Great service! Good food! Just an all around positive time! Will make an effort to go more often now that we know it's nice.

I've been here multiple times since my first visit. Always a great time. The blue cheese fries are fantastic as is the build a burger option. Give it a try and you won't regret it.

The restaurant has a great menu but the thing that bothered us was the amount of young employees just standing around the bar chatting and texting. It seemed very unprofessional and they continually played with their hair just a foot from where we were eating. I would definitely try it again but would like to see the staff be a bit more professional and a better clean of the restaurant would be nice.

Eh. Definitely not all it's cracked up to be. Overpriced burgers. The staff is kind of rude. We had a really bad experience there and the managers did not do anything to remedy it. I didn't expect anything for free, but a simple acknowledgment or an apology would have been nice. That being said, their French fries with garlic aioli are very good.

Who knew one could find such a place in sumter! Pork rinds with pimento cheese were a great start and the burgers are fantastic. Tried a beef and a black bean, both very good. Topped off with a vanilla ice cream with bacon, stout reduction and nuts... Unreal! Please support this place, sumter needs a place like this.

First time eating here but it will not be my last as I had the taste for a burger while visiting Sumter. I could have gone anywhere but that is the thing I can get those other burgers from anywhere and I am speaking of certain chains that are here in Sumter. The staff is very welcoming and this is proven as Tonie was about to give me a playful whack of the menu because she mistook me for someone else. I did not tell her but she has great ink on her arm. I came in a little after 1700 as they close at 1430 (230 for you civies) and there was no wait. The place is small and quaint but not so small to the point you are brushing up against someone if it gets crowded and their is outside seating which would have been perfect today with the warm weather. I opted to sit inside. I ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and the jalapeno ranch dressing was great with it. The onion rings were ok but not something that will wow you but once again the side of jalapeno ranch was great. I even put it on my burger which I am getting to next. This place reminds me of a BGR with all the selections on how you can build your burger. The burger was very tasty and it along with my fries came out hot. I admit it was very good and you cannot beat the price. I like the menu as it does offer other options but this place has a foundation based on good burgers. This is good because so many places have a large menu and cannot do any of it well. There is a saying "Instead of practicing a 1000 moves once, practice one move a thousand times" and this is an idea that JO is sticking to. The bar is also great as they made a great Moscow Mule and Hurricane. Parking is on the street but I had no problem finding a spot right in front of the store. In my opinion this is no issue. On my next trip through Sumter this will be a definite stop off spot.

Great service and beer selection. Nice outdoor patio seating. Pork rinds had a nice kick to them. Unfortunately the burgers left much to be desired. The build your own sandwich menu was very promising with almost endless topping choices. But the burger patties were thin, overcooked and didn't have much flavor. The fries with garlic aioli were good. I wished I had room to try the bacon and beer ice cream for dessert.

Not a good place to drink, EXCELLENT place to eat! Tons of adventurous burgers to choose from including the build your own option. They also have a bunch of great sides and appetizers (homemade pork rinds with pimento cheese). All of this with great service at a reasonable price. Taking a star away because I think they forgot to put the booze in the drinks I ordered then they charged me an arm and a leg for them!

This place is fabulous! We had the SC State Champs Burger, it has chili, cheddar, mustard, onions, tomato and lettuce. It was awesome. We also had the queso and it was also great. The service was good and the atmosphere is laid back. They have a ton of beer choices! Super impressed :)

went there the week they opened. Based on the name and provenance, i thought the food would be Irish and they staff would be terrific. Food was not, staff was not. Haven't been back; perhaps it has changed.

I love the beer selection here! Try the Samuel Smiths Strawberry beer. I know, sounds gross, but I promise it's not! Even all the manly men I've been here with like it! I love the atmosphere here. We've had really good service every time we've visited. My go-to here are the Buffalo Shrimp Tacos, yum!

This was our first time here. The food is great. It was slow coming out but worth the wait. The buffalo shrimp tacos were delicious. You can get any kind of burger that you want or you can build your own. Beer and wine selection is fabulous. They start you out with complimentary pork skins that are very good.

The food and service are excellent. Both versions of pulled pork tacos are my favorite items. Menu also has salads, build your own burger and other sandwiches. The mixed berry cobbler and bacon n beer ice cream are great. Atmosphere is also good. Live music on Friday nights. Love to sit outside when it's warm. Only nuisance is the sirens due to the proximity to the hospital, police, and fire station. Bar has a large variety of beer and liquor. Probably only suitable for kids who eat off the adult menu at lunch. Also open for brunch on Saturday. Best locally owned restaurant in town!

This is a gem in an otherwise insignificant town for good places to eat. The burgers are unique and filling, and the sides are a bit more unique than the standard fries. The baked beans I had with my burger were a great match. Good selection of local beers too. Enjoyed the atmosphere; I'd be hanging out there if I had to live here.

Great atmosphere, great food from this pub style restaurant. Only been open a few days when we went (9/13/13) but they had everything down pat. Instead of the usual rolls or peanuts at the table they bring out a bucket of fresh cooked pork rinds that were some of the best I've had in years. Menu has a lot of unique combinations of sandwiches & you choose what style you want then choose burger, chicken or black bean. Most everything was named after local people or events, we had fun deciphering a few. The food was a massive amount. First time in years I couldn't finish, had to throw in the towel after 3/4 of my meal. Burger tasted fresh ground & is from a brisket cut, really tasty & juicy, cooked to a perfect medium well. The place is beautiful, lots of renovations & a beautiful bar. I don't drink but I was impressed with the layout & variety they had to offer, supposedly the largest beer menu in town now with at least 40 types if I heard correct. Sumter really needed a nice place like this, especially in the downtown area.

This restaurant is definitely one of the better places to eat in Sumter. They have a fun and unique burgers, and some great pulled-pork tacos. My husband and I really enjoy eating here due to their food and fun atmosphere. There service has also been very good every time we have visited.... they do not try to rush you out! I do want to give the warning that is freezing inside if you go when it is cold. Brr...

Probably the best thing to hit the old downtown area since the Brick Street Café. Really nice bar and a great menu of burgers & soft tacos offering Carolina BBQ or sweet bbq. Both are excellent. Good selection of beers too! I'll be back!

Awesome service! Only place in Sumter to get a good craft beer! Tacos are my favorite but the burgers are just as good if not better than any I could get in Columbia.. Great place to just hangout with friends and have a good time.

Great atmosphere & wonderful service! I love the pub like environment, The service was right on...our drinks were always full, our food was quick and we had dated to-go boxes delivered as soon as we were finished eating. My sis-in-law and I both had burgers. She loved hers; I thought mine was so-so. I wish the server had given me the opportunity to order how I wanted the burger cooked; I might have enjoyed it more if it wasn't so well done. My brother had the pulled pork tacos and he enjoyed them. The burger menu is very unique and even had a make-your-own option. Overall, next time I'm in Sumter I'll probably swing by again.

The food at JOGrady's is very good and always enjoyable. Been there several times and never really gotten anything I didn't like. On the disappointing side is there drink prices for both beer and mixed drinks are a little too high. Have tried to get them to make something exciting and they seem to fail every time. There pint beer prices are also too much. Well over 3x multiplier. They probably generate a lager portion of their income from beer sales so people may be ok with paying the higher prices at a restaurant. I have also been turned away from coming inside to wait at the bar because all their tables where full, what's up with that??!! The outdoor seating needs to be more refined and not use crowd fencing to keep the people out.

Had a great dinner with good friends tonight. Friends both had mushroom swiss burgers on salt and pepper buns. My wife had a chicken sandwich with the kitchen sink. I had SC pulled pork tacos. We all shared two baskets of fries. Portions are big and the food is great. Server was attentive and kept my tea glass full. He was rewarded accordingly. Will definitely be going back. Parking is scarce on Main Street so park in the lot off harbinger street behind southern uniforms.

Nice atmosphere and good food--its nice to see something like this in the downtown area! I had a buffalo shrimp with black bean patty burger. I tried the black bean burger because I'd never had one before and it was great. Portions are very reasonable.
