What can I say about any buffet place? The food is edible but not great. They are doing this new special where they will cook a few proteins for you and bring it to your table. In theory this is great. It gives the servers more of a chance to earn a decent tip and allows the customers a little more variety. Too bad the pork chop that I ordered and the steak that my husband ordered came out beyond burned and dry. As far as the food on the buffet goes, it was okay. The mashed potatoes were on point. Even the okra was fresh and everything was hot. That's a plus, especially for a place like Ryans. When I took my daughter up to the buffet she said she wanted green beans, mashed potatoes and a piece of chicken. A cook was bringing out fresh chicken and even told me it was better and fresh. He asked my daughter what she wanted and put it on the plate for her. Good job, man! For a young guy, he was really nice. I find it hard to say nice things about young people that work at restaurants these days mainly because they tend to not work as hard as the older people that have families to take care of. That's my opinion. Take it or leave it. Outside of the decent cook, our server was surprisingly good. She actually took our plates away and refilled our drinks like a champ. She got a good tip for doing her job. Ultimately it was an okay trip. Kinda pricey for just "alright" food, but it is what it is. I personally could eat my weight in their rolls and honey butter. We may be back but probably no time soon.

Some items better than others, Salad bar okay, fried chicken very bland - no seasoning period. It needs more consistence in the taste of items, one day everything is bland then the on the next it's great.

Entered Establishment with party of 4 got to the young lady to pay to east $50.00 my wife paid I cracked a few jokes with , my wife said I was flirting well she was cute. This is were I went from Ryans into Hell I asked the kids to find me a table away from everyone else and we proceeded toward corner of establishment there were plenty of empty seats and I see why all table I wanted to sit in were dirty from floor to to table I asked a manager to get me a clean table $50 bucks and this nasty.... Well he had one of he employees wipe off a table not take care of the floor aand not her and another girl walked away making comments about me . I am eating at your restauraunt I got very upset and demanded a refund and I will go eat at a quality restauraunt such as City Range Or Fatz manager threatened me if I did not calm down he would have me arrested so dirty restaurant and threatened jail, and treated like a was unwanted and nobody was busy cleaning before a dinner rush they were sitting around chatting. I contacted Dm He was appoligetic but the truth is I left with a refund before I got my free going away gift of hand cuffs and mmy family decided to go to Fatz bill was 75 bucks I felt like a king at Fatz not peasant . cost me 25 bucks more and I added the same as a tip for a wonderfull service. try ryans if you dear Fatz will great you at the door with a smile

Made a visit to this location after a trip to the near by Home Depot. $30 for two people including drink, thought it was a bit much, however you are paying for variety and volume. One big thing missing is quality from the food and the service. Salad bar is about average. Vegetables were soggy and tasted like they had been sitting there for days in their juices. I had beef tips and gravy which were ok. The macaroni and cheese was god awful do not attempt to eat it (I warned you). I tried the steak from the grill. Grill server was very nice to people in line. Steak was medium cook very nice. The server in our area was lets hope and pray new. She told us 5-7 minutes on rolls. 15 minutes later still no rolls. Actually as I type this guess what? Still no rolls, however a table she seems to know and carry on personal conversation with got a nice basket of them. Only thing she has to do is keep drink glasses full, and that was a struggle for her. On two occasions she walked by cups empty as we ate and asked if we needed refills. Being a server when I was in college, I just assumed if someone was still eating and their glass was empty I fill the damn thing up. Somewhere after 1980 most kids were born without common sense, just a personal observation. I wasn't expecting 5 star food or service going in, however some things should just be expected like clean restrooms (men's restroom was a disaster one stall had a plate and fork in it, wtf!), friendly staff and common customer service skills in a service driven industry. I just recently moved back to Spartanburg. While I wouldn't say this place would be a weekly monthly or even a quarterly visit for me, I will definitely review yelp again and see my review to remind me to stay away.

The food was just ok, service was horrible. Was wanting a chicken leg and the manager said that they didn't have any. What the F is wrong here.
