Overall, I like Boots & Sonny's. It's a nice, inexpensive place to go get food if you're walking downtown or getting your studying and reading done over at the public library. The corn dogs and cheeseburgers are real good. Burger is comparable to Sugar'n Spice a little ways up the ride. Fries are okay here, they're just fries really. You gotta put your own salt on them though. Yeah, Boots & Sonny's is not bad at all, and it's not too expensive. It's worth a stop if you're over downtown for a quick lunch. :D

Ok, so I'm a total sucker for nostalgic old places like this. Will go outta my way for them. Most of the time the food is exactly what you would expect. Greasy mediocre grub. Boot's & Sonny's is holding down this expectation with authority ! My chili , cheese slaw dogs were nothing special. The buns were steamed perfect , the slaw was nothing more than cabbage , mayo & pepper. The cheese was exactly what you think it would be. A slice of oh so delicious velveeta. The chili was sorta bland & the wiener was well......... A wiener. But combined together it married into a decent bite of food. Cudos Boot's & Sonny's here's to another 53 years.

What a neat little place! They serve hot dogs and all the usual sides. They have a deal where you purchase 10 hot dogs at regular price and you get 2 for free. You can choose onions, slaw, fries, etc. to go with your dog. I had the regular chili dog, no onions and some fries with lemonade. MMMM! Can't go wrong with simple goodness. Prices are very reasonable. I'd go back.

Horrible drive thru service, the lady didn't know how to take orders. We ordered two hot dog combos & she only give us one. I ordered a sweet tea but she gave me a coke. The coke tasted watered down.. Please hire better workers.

You'll find tasty fried onion rings, and dogs smothered in chili, mustard, and onions at Boots' & Sonny's. Boots' proves you can make it in the hot dog restaurant business since 1962 by serving a dependable product at an affordable price. The tea (with refills) was brewed and chilled to perfection.

Excellent cheeseburgers and onion rings. The best onion rings I have found in Spartanburg. Great service and reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great burger and rings. Sadly they are not open on weekends.
