Great dogs! Friendly staff. Good prices. And they have more than just hotdogs. I just wish their hours were a little longer in the afternoons. They are rarely open when I come thru the area.

Been here twice. Will never, I repeat never return. First, the ambiance: Small, dusty little place, the floor was a mess, condiment bottles old and crusty, when I walked back to the restroom (which in itself seems to be a add-on to the building, almost like an outhouse) I looked into the kitchen - it was horrible dirty, cigarette smell was obvious and stinky. Second the service, when we walked in on October 11 the two employees we saw where snuggling or kissing or doing something behind the counter. When we walked in, the man gave a reluctant sigh and retreated back to the kitchen never washing his hands (that we know of). Thirdly the food: Hamburger - definitely a microwave job, the hot dog, it was old and somewhat shriveled - no snap (it was as if it was underwater too long), it seemed to be a regular Hebrew National one can buy from the grocery. The one redeeming quality - the chili. The brownie, they say homemade...I say no way it is definitely a double chocolate chunk box mix (I know because that particular one is my favorite and I make it at least 1 time a week. Like I said, been there 2 times, once on October 11 and the last time was today - October 14. Service was slightly better today, but in my opinion still not worth the 2.50 for a hotdog

I happen to be driving through the area and was looking for a local, non-fast food place for lunch. Got a tasty brat with chili and two sides for about $5. It was a great deal in a clean, vintage music themed space.

I made my first visit to Phat Dogs today. I have driven by several times, and today just seemed like a good hot dog day. I walked in and was promptly greeted by a lady at the counter even though she was helping other people at the time. I had a chance to look at the menu, but I wasn't sure what I wanted. The lady was kind enough to give me "the skinny on a phat dog" as she put it. I like to try a couple things when I check a place out, so I ordered a kosher all beef dog and a regular hot dog. Of course, the all beef one was wayyy better. The chili was very good as was the bun. You can add different toppings like slaw, cheese, kraut, jalapeños, etc. If you don't want a hot dog, they do have brats, cheeseburgers, chicken salad sandwiches, and some other things. The decor is like a musical museum, so that's kinda cool. Prices are fair. Service is excellent. Overall, a winner.
