Crab dinner was amazing. Best one I had during my visit to Myrtle! Everything served with the meal was good. Service was A+! Our server was very nice, he explained the menu, and throughly went over the daily catches and mentioned the market prices. He was also very good at explaining what some of the fish tasted like. Some, we had never heard of, and it didn't throw him off his game for a second. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated right away. By the time we left there was a pretty big crowd waiting for tables. If I ever go back to MB, this will be the first place I stop for dinner!
Found this restaurant more or less by accident. It's in a run-down looking strip mall in N. Myrtle Beach. DON'T let that turn you away! The food is GREAT and very reasonably priced. The entree is big enough for two to share comfortably. Their fresh Spring Rolls are fantastic - not fried, but the good glass-noodle and rice-paper wrap kind with an excellent peanut sauce. NOTE: it's THAI! They have mild dishes, but if you usually get "three flame hot" you may want to try the "medium" instead. I like hot/spicy and this was very good, but tended more to the hotter than the milder. If you order "Hot" - - well - be prepared. There were two couples and we all enjoyed what we had and were pleasantly surprised by the low total cost. If you like Thai, this family run restaurant is as good as any. Pfft to the atmosphere! I like good food!
I wanted to give this place 5 stars but I cant. The service the night we went was horrible. It took 20 minutes to order, 20 minutes to bring the food, our toddler at our table didn't get his food any earlier and we were with empty drinks a majority of the time. I'm hoping it was an off night. That said, everyone loved their food. The hush puppies were the most traditional we've tasted in the area. Most of us had the tile fish, local to here, and the can style was actually better than the signature preparation, our table thought. The mahi-mahi dip they offer at first is ok. We would try this place again, to be sure the service issues were really a one time thing.
