This stuff was good ya'll!!! I'm not typically a fan of buffets but this fit the bill for a large group of adults and kids. There was plenty of kid friendly food as well as fare for the adults. The food seemed to be homemade or at least not straight from a can. The kids loved the train and the price was right too. Recommend!

This place is okay. The price is extremely competitive for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Cons: -The food quality is sub-par. The only thing that actually tasted fresh was the okra. -I think the fact that the trash cans are literally right next to the tables really grossed me out. -The seating arrangement is awkward for such a tiny space. -The décor doesn't make any sense. -The deserts were just store bought. Big takeaway to management: only serve fresh food, not stuff I can buy in a can. There is a lot of room for improvement.

I don't know how this place stays in business. The food is mediocre at best. There are WAY to many good bbq places around here to bother with this one. The restaurant is nice and attractive but they should have spent more on good food and less on the building.

We used Mutt's for a large pool party earlier this summer (200 + people) & they did a fabulous job from set-up to clean-up. The food was delicious & everyone that attended was extremely pleased. We couldn't have asked for more courteous, hard-workers that tended to the food & I would highly recommend Mutt's for any type of event. In preparation for the party the contact people at the restaurant were extremely helpful with any request we had & were eager to accommodate our needs in any way possible. My husband & I have also eaten in the restaurant & were always satisfied with the quality & flavor of the food no matter what we ordered not to mention the cleanliness of the establishment, the politeness of the employees & the affordable prices make it even more attractive, especially with a family.

THE place for Carolina pulled pork and hushpuppies. Eve award: best place for BBQ pulled pork anywhere Cost to worth it ratio: 4.5 (for under $10 on the weekend you can get an all you can eat buffet and a drink) Highlights: - Pulled pork: my absolute favorite. I smile really big and clap when I get to have it. Tender shredded pieces of naturally flavorful pork. Carolina's version of kalua pork. - Bbq sauces: 4 to choose from. There's mild, sweet, hot, and mustard in squeeze bottles. My thing to do is top my pork with mostly mild, then a good portion of sweet, and a squirt of hot. Took a while to perfect my combo and I love it! - Sweet potato crunch: part savory side, part dessert. Mashed sweet potatoes topped with brown sugar and pecans. Heavenly! - Hush puppies: roundish fried bits of corn meal. They have one of the best here. - Tea: dispensers for both unsweet and sweet. I can't do the sweet so my version is about 80% unsweet and the rest sweet for a nice mix. Midlight: - Chopped chicken: bit dry but alternative if you don't do pork - Mac and cheese: not too cheesy Lowlights (my flip side to highlights): - Ribs: dry and barely any meat - I'm always so full after I eat here cause it's so good I can't stop eating it. :-o

The two reviewers before me really differed in opinion. One offered a five star review; the other said one star. I found it to be somewhere in the middle. The price was right. Less than $10 for an adult buffet and drink. The toddler ate for free. The place was super clean and the décor very cute. The toddler gives the train two big thumbs up. Here's a breakdown of my buffet findings- Coleslaw- above average, not too sweet Potato salad- creamy and delicious, I loved it. Green beans- looked to be straight from the can Corn on the cob- nothing special Hushpuppies- hot, crispy and awesome Fried okra- a little greasy baked beans- sweet sauce, just average Pulled pork- awesome, especially with their mustard sauce Ribs- smoky and moist and delish Fried chicken- some of the best I've had Chocolate pudding, banana pudding- nothing special Peach cobbler- yummy buttery crust that rocks So, I've you choose wisely, you can have an amazing meal for a great price. My husband and I felt feeling absolutely stuffed.

Iama Critic Rating - Smitty's BBQ - 4 Stars 214 East Butler Road, Mauldin, SC Overall: This place is just minutes from the houses of two of my guest critics and yet we have never set foot in the place. I don't know how we missed it. But as soon as I walked in I thought I had entered some sort of inter-dimensional time warp, because this place is like a mirror image of Mutt's BBQ in Easley. The ambiance is identical! Although the train is a little shorter, lol. And the food is almost dish for dish the same. There is just no way we cannot compare the two against each other. But is the food the same? The Buffet Overall: $10.00 - Buffet w/Drink - 4 Stars And this is the out the door price including tax. Buffet Items: 4 Stars - BBQ Pork Sandwich 3 Stars - Baked Beans 4 Stars - Grilled Chicken 3 Stars - Mac and Cheese 4 Stars - Hush-puppies 4 Stars - Ribs - very meaty 3 Stars - Corn - in need of butter, which I could not find 3 Stars - Coleslaw 2 Stars - Potato Salad - way too sweet 2 Stars - Collards - overcooked 3 Stars - Peach Cobbler - overcooked 4 Stars - Fried Chicken Final Thoughts: Smitty's is definitely a twin of Mutt's, or maybe it's the other way around, who knows? They are both a tremendous value. For only $10.00 with a drink, (out the door price), if all you eat are the ribs, Smitty's is worth it. Smitty's ribs were great and the BBQ pork buns were steamed, while Mutt's fried chicken is magically coated. However you can't really go wrong with either and because Smitty's is so much closer, I am sure we will being going back soon.

How is this place not packed all of the time?! Great food and an even grater price. Best fried okra I've had in years! I literally have NOTHING negative to say. From the mac and cheese to the peach cobbler-esque wonder, everything was perfect. Having just moved from the town that hosts the largest BBQ festival in the south east, I've had a lot of BBQ (even had it served at my wedding), this place is the real deal!! The decor is cozy yet nice enough to host an event. The staff is friendly. And let me say again, the prices are great! Right under $11 for all you can eat BBQ, chicken, and ribs? Yes please!!!
