This was my first time eating here...I was a little skeptical as I am a very picky eater; however, I was thoroughly satisfied with the experience! The food was great, the folks who were working here were friendly and helpful - overall EXCELLENT experience - this is my new #1 local taco eating spot!

The thing I liked most about this restaurant is that the food was delicious! I especially liked the chips and salsa. Having just moved here from Texas, I have been craving Tex-Mex food and this place hit the spot. I liked that the restaurant is sit down but you do not have a server to tip. You simply go through the line and the staff will make your order right there. I also liked that on certain meals, you get chips and salsa to go. The staff was super friendly and the place looked clean.

Fresh, fast, tasty Mexican. I found Salsarita's while visiting family in Lexington and wanted to grab a late lunch. Not only did I enjoy the food but the service great, staff was friendly and polite. Ohh and fast! This restaurant in nestled in a shopping area containing Target and Best Buy and I have to admit I overlooked it in past visits to the area. Put after looking up Mexican Restaurants on Yelp they came up with the best rating of the two in the immediate area. Now why did I like Salsarita's, well besides the speed which is a factor for me but when you put off having lunch till later the menu was what you expect in a Mexican Cantina style restaurant. Plenty of choices to build what you want into your salad, burrito etc. plus a generous amount. If you order the combo you also receive a generous amount of chips, heck, isn't the real reason we go to eat Mexican food! Plenty of choices but not so many that it's hard to make a decision. All served in a traditional tin plate. Yes plus WiFi where you don't have to hassle with a password for customers that like to hangout, heck it is a Cantina, Next time I want Mexican, want it good and fast. I'm heading to Salsarita's.

Just like a Moe's or Chipotle but not as good. I can say I liked that the portions were not huge but the food lacked flavor. I would not go back and I would choose any one of the other burrito places over this one.

Employees were nice, and the food was great! I would recommend this place. No complaints. It is like Chipoltle, but with extras. It has a little bar, and they have a different variations of borritos, etc...

this is like chipotle's, but friendly and fun!! DA ATMOSPHERE: this little restaurant is a lot like subway in that you can walk your order through various stages and pick out ingredients that are right in front of you. it's very well lit, and the music is low so that you can actually carry on a conversation. the colors are bright and there's a little tiki-ish bar on the side. booths and tables fill the one room restaurant. The folks are so nice! everyone had a genuine smile and was patient with us as we perused the on-the-wall menu. i dont know how they do it, but they seem to have nice people working for them all the time (well, at least the one other time i've been here). DA FOOD: fresh! i ordered a taco bowl with grilled chicken. anything you can get in a burrito you can get in the bowl. i had the romaine lettuce, guacamole, grilled chicken, melted queso, shredded cheese, grilled vegetables, pico d gallo and beans n corn salsa put into my bowl. THERE IS NO ADDED COSTS FOR INGREDIENTS!! if you want to have one ingredient or all 15, the cost is still the same! my friend had a pulled pork taco salad. she mixed n matched to her heart's content! the romaine was fresh, the chicken was tender, the grilled vegetables weren't overdone and lightly seasoned, and the taco shell was light and fluffy. i had a cookie for dessert - chewy (which i like). my friend was pleased with her bowl and had a corona. DA PRICE: i bought a groupon for this place ($10 for $20 worth of food). after we ordered our two bowls the cashier asked if we wanted to fill the rest of the $20 (each bowl was only $8) so thats when we ordered the corona and the 2 cookies! total price came to $20.06 and he said to just forget the $.06. good food, good place, good people!, please give these folks your patronage! so there!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
