They've fallen behind. Rolls weren't warm also they were dense & chewy. They were considerably smaller than the ones I've enjoyed before. Don't know if this was intentional or maybe we just got the last 2 rolls left. Had the calamari again. Still great I'm noticing a trend here. No matter when I come the vegetable of the day is ALWAYS green beans??? My hamburger steak had nice flavor, but inside was cooked until gray color. And a little dry inside The ranch dressing is still watery without much flavor. Bummer Service wasn't as good as in the past. She seemed bothered & ready to leave. I will return for another chance- don't know when. Because I'm hoping this was just a off day.

I went there as I was driving through and what an amazing surprise. I am a food snob and normally only eat where table cloths and cloth napkins are available. However driving you get what you get and this was AMAZING! Great service great food and incredible prices I left a 50% tip! Thank you it was a pleasure to be your customer.

Came into Lancaster to apply for our homestead exeption, so had lunch with Charlie's. A decent lunch, great service from Mitch and we were full when we left. Lunch specials included a good two slice portion of meat loaf, with mashed potatoes and veggies. I had the onion soup which was OK, but not great. Wife had the hamburger steak which was HUGE and a side salad with yummy bacon dressing. Iced tea flowed regularly. Mitch was Mr. Personality. Prices are reasonable. Dinner menu was a bit upscale with steaks, so this is truly a lunch dinner place, on south Main Street.

Charley's is my favorite restaurant in Lancaster. Usually I order the fried oyster caesar salad. It has never disappointed me. The oysters are always crisp and fried to perfection. My fiancée is a big fan of the Tuscan pasta which has shrimp, sausage and prosciutto in a cream sauce. The warm bread and butter is also very good. They have a pretty good wine list. Cocktails and beer are available as well. I will be back next time I am in Lancaster!

This is the best restuarant in the downtown Lancaster area that I have visited. It is a typical cafe - bistro style atmosphere and menu with an emphasis on southern favorites & comfort foods. On my most recent lunch visit, I had the Chicken Santa Fe salad. It comes with a grilled chicken breast, mixed salad greens, tomatoes, tortilla strips, jack and cheddar cheese. You can order a half salad for $5.95 or a whole salad for $7.50. The major downside for me is that they are not usually open when I happen to be in the area. They are open for lunch Mon - Fri. 11:00 - 2:00 pm. Their dinner hours are Wed - Thur. 5:00 - 9:00 pm and Fri - Sat. 5:00 - 9:30 pm. They are closed on Sundays.
