I decided to try out Jalapenos with my in-laws and we all enjoyed it! There were 5 of us and we went on a Wednesday night. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken soon after. We were given chips and salsa, which we liked a lot, and our food orders were taken about 10 minutes later. Our food was served after about a 15 minute wait and we all loved our meals! I got the pollo fondido. The tortillas were deliciously fried and the rice was very good. Their menu is extensive and I'd love to try more dishes!

I usually don't do these types of Mexican restaurants because I am from California and this just isn't Mexican food. BUT I will say from what I have had thus far food wise it isn't bad, definitely fresh and a huge menu to choose from. The chips and salsa are good and they give you your own salsa and bowl which is nice. The reason I am giving this place four stars is for the drinks. The happy hour is awesome and you definitely do not get cheated on alcohol. I am not big on frozen fruit margaritas but my friend really wanted strawberry so we gave it a try and it was GREAT. Super tasty and not too artificial tasting. The margarona is definitely a must have and the smaller portion is anything but small! The thing was huge and only like $8-$10. All this being said my friend and I have been back 5 times since they have been open, which isn't long. It's right by our house so we are definitely making this the new hangout. Plus all the workers are very friendly and its new so it's a clean environment. Must give this place a try if you haven't especially if you are someone who thinks LaHa or Los Reyes have good food.

Opted to try this new place near our house, and I was happy we did! It's located between a nail salon and a Chinese take out place. The only place I could smell the nail salon was in the ladies room, which was otherwise clean. My husband and I each ordered Carne Asade, something we pine for since we left the West Coast. While it doesn't measure up to what we're used to back home, it was delicious. The "flag" on the plate didn't offer much guacamole or pico de gallo, so if you use any amount of either, be sure to order an extra side for 95¢. The service was a little slow, which didn't make much sense consideing there weren't many other patrons at 6 on a Thursday. The slowness was made up for in friendliness. Our kids shared the #9 kids meal (a corn dog with your choice of fries or a cheese quesadilla). We will definitely be back!

Love this place. I use to go to margaritas in Summerville until I was charged more and more each trip. I will continue to come here. The owner and his family are great. Highly recommend.

Same owners as El Jalapeño on central ave in Summerville and same great food, much closer to my house. We will be back.

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The service, promptness, and cleanliness was on point. We shared the fajitas and they were very disappointing. The 4 types of meat in the "fajitas for two" were disproportionate...mostly just pork. Nothing about the food itself was that great. They also messed up our bill and over charged us. We won't be coming back.

Went to This place Sun evening and was very disappointed. Waiter was son of owner kind of ignored us. He was talking to a family at the register for about 7 min. while we waited to place our order. My tamale had no meat. My wife ordered chicken and beef Fajitas the pieces of meat where overcook and tough as nails and tiny. They seam like they were cook for hours. Also the onions and peppers were overcooked. The owner came to are table eventually and we told him about our experience He acted indifferent and told us to come back again,WE DON'T THINK SO!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
