Had a great lunch!! The blue chips were a yummy appetizer and the burgers were delicious!! My husband ordered the hot baked potato salad and it was a very delicious side dish!! Must order. Very nice staff!! Highly recommend.

Ok, food is great, beer is cold and staff is friendly. Just don't go after 10 pm. Staff is busy smoking, doing shots with regulars and getting tore-up. Oh, and cigarette smoking is allowed inside with very loud music. If THAT don't bother you, this is a great place to hang.

-5 out of 5 for service. We were sat quickly and received our first round of drinks quickly. Waitress didn't return for 15 minutes (literally, not exaggerating). There was at most 15 people in the entire restaurant, and she could see us each time she ente

Love this place. The service is excellent, the food is even better. My bf and I meet in columbia sc every other weekend, Im from atlanta and hes stationed in Jacksonville nc.We had our first date here technically. We yelped a quick bite to eat for lunch and found this place. We had so much fun talking, eating great food, drinking blue moons and playing pool that we come here about once a month now. Hot potatoe salad was recomended by the bartender and It is AMAZING! :)

Loud music and sometimes a fairly annoying trivia game takes over the whole place, but it is easy to ignore because of the really good food! And not just their burgers. They have tons of other great options. My kids love the place and while it is a "bar" too, it is totally somewhere families can feel comfortable. Great service. Nice staff, Excellent food.

Excellent food! Love the burgers, the drunken brisket is awesome! Great food, awesome atmosphere and great service. We eat there several times a month at lunch or dinner. Always greeted friendly and food is always delicious!

Delicious! I ordered the breakfast burger - no bun, and was delighted to find a juicy, flavorful burger prepared for me. The side of sweet potato tots hit the spot. The atmosphere is low key and the server was very friendly. We will definitely return if we are back in the area!

Excellent food and service every time I have been in the place. Eat there for lunch at least 2 or 3 time a month. Great daily lunch specials. Wife loves their burgers! Have lived in Irmo +20 years. Location has had several owners/types of food over the years. The best restaurant in that location to date!

The best thing about this place was our super cute waitress, Jessica. The burgers are okay, but super greasy. I had the Pepper Jack Jalapeno burger. The hot wings were overcooked and dry. The sweet tea was great.

Usually a good place but waited 15 minutes with no service. We left. We were outside however the wait staff was outside smoking so I know they knew we were there. Oh well.

Friendly staff, decent food at a great price. Blavk and bleu burger was good as was fries. Special was bbq plate, yellow sauce was good $5.99 for large helping, slaw fries and bread and tea. Staff let us sample Bbq before ordering.

I really enjoyed Lucky's . I had the veggie burger and a gin and tonic. The burger was good- tasted made from scratch, the fries were just right, crispy and piping hot when served. The gin and tonic was strong but not overly so. It actually tasted like gin which was a nice change from what I normally get at a bar which is watery tonic that has a slight bite. The wait staff is pleasant and fast. I never went without anything I wanted. During the day and outside it's pretty kid friendly too, and late night It's great for a good grown up drink. If you're looking for a good down home American spot try this out!

I love coming here and enjoying the $1.75 pounders of PBR. I haven't had a chance to try the food yet but it's defiantly a great place to drink a beer and sit on their patio

We are not from Columbia and were here on business. We looked at reviews for the best burger and decided to go here. The burger was mediocre, fries were over done and the service was horrible. The staff were more concerned over what they were going to sing on open mic night or flirting with the regulars than actually waiting on the other customers. Definitely will not be back.

Solid wings. Great lunch prices. Overall very satisfied.

Had the lucky burger which was a tad thin and over cooked, I like my burgers very thick and rare to medium rare and juicy. This was not what I expected at all my expectations were I guess too high after all these great reviews. Did like the atmosphere and prices. Next time I'll give the wings a try with ice cold cheap beers !

Great hole in the wall, local biker bar. Wonderful find right off 26. Super friendly service. Great burgers and the hot potato salad...oh my. Probably not the best spot of you are on a diet. Kids meals come with a drink. Kids grilled cheese used real cheese. I requested no mayo or mustard but you can pick any of their wings sauces which they have a huge selection of. Will be back on our next trip through SC.

LOVE Lucky's Burger Shack! This is where you go to get what may possibly be the best burgers in or around Columbia. Many people claim it, but Lucky's really backs it up. I've been there at least a dozen times and have never had a bad meal. If you come after 10pm any night, it is definitely more of a bar, because the kitchen closes. Only at 10 do they allow smoking inside, etc. Beer selection is OK. They only have 3 or 4 cheap beers on tap, but they have a decent bottle selection. The food is always hot and fresh, burgers juicy, and the hand-cut fries are awesome! OH and they have a great DOG FRIENDLY patio!

Although, the name "Lucky's Burger Shack" should tell you exactly what to expect I must admit that driving by here at least twice every day I had always had the impression that this was a neighborhood bar. I was terribly wrong. For lack of anything close by that we hadn't already bored ourselves with, I decided to swing in and grab a couple burgers for my wife and I. Turns out the burger was made from fresh hamburger and not the same ole frozen patti I was expecting. Pleasant surprise one. If that wasn't enough to impress I soon realized the the mushrooms were fresh and sautéed. Are you kidding me! This burger just became my favorite within 100 miles (at least). But wait, there's more! I reached for the fries and let me tell you, I eat fries like a connesuer of wine. Forget fresh or frozen, I can tell you the dirt they came out of and the grease they were cooked in (I bet you think I'm exaggerating, I am). The fries were fresh cut. I'm tearing up a little, just a sec...OK I'm good now. Bottom line. If you like the everyday menu of the burger joint, you'll be amazed how delicious that food is when it's made with fresh ingredients.

Surprisingly their wings are better than their burgers...or at least I thought so. We got the medium wings with ranch as an app. Don't get me wrong their burger was pretty good but I know if I come back I will probably get wings. It's your typical bar and a little divey.... They have beer specials and do carry the Sunday NFL ticket.. She mentioned Steeler fans occupy the right side of the bar but they will play other games on some of the other TVs. We had 2 burgers 1 app and 4 beers for $30, very reasonably priced.

I honestly can say, it's doubtful we would have discovered this place without groupon. Because of the groupon deal we got for Lucky's we found/made the opprtunity to venture out and try them. Turns out, the food is pretty darn good. With or without the deal! :) There was a lot, especially their sides, that we wanted to try and didn't get too. So for our first visit, and to take in as much as possible. We started with some Sweet Potato fries, then ordered different sides with our burgers. She got the sliders with regular french fries, and I got the Lucky's Burger with corn nuggets. So, the only bad I got from this visit was from a semi confusing menu, and me not paying attention or being a bit more specific. And this was: when you look at the menu one side seems to be their mostly regular burgers and they come "Lucky's way" while another section seems to be speciality burgers and doesn't mention anyone's way... but secretly... they come out Lucky's way as well. Which I don't like mustard/mayo (weird I know) but it was partly everyone's fault... I'll take most the blame for not asking though. Anyway, so after the confusion was fixed up, I got to munching and the burger was quite tasty. Cooked to order, bacon was nice and thick, and they really piled on the onion strings! The corn nuggets with it were very tasty and delicious, and the early order sweet potato fries were very good too. Little cripsy, but still fine, and sweet which is awesome. I didn't actually try her sliders, but she complimented them a lot and polished off her left overs the next day. All in all it was all positive for us. Food was good, service was good, and everything went great. Lucky's is a location we'd quickly and happily be going back to as quickly as possible. So hopefully we find an excuse to be back up in Columbia for it and try it out again. If you get the chance, check it out, and enjoy!

Ehh! ... burgers were ok at best. Service when I was there was slow and the food wasn't worth the wait. Place is always busy but I'll pass on going again.

The last time I came the burger was thick and cooked perfectly. The fries were good , too. This time the burger was thin and overlooked. Dry. The kettle chips were inconsistent. Some were crisp some were greasy and softish. All were too salty. I'll try it again, but today was not what I remembered.

Lucky's is kind of tucked away from where the majority of restaurants in this area are, but it's not far from Harbison and definitely worth a try. They have a dog friendly patio with Tv's and an out door bar (only open during spring/summer). The drink prices are reasonable but the real gem is the food. The best burgers I've had. Even the veggie burger is great, my bf says that it's better than some of the actual burgers he's had. They do allow smoking inside when the kitchen closes at 10, but the place doesn't smell smoky until then.

Went late on a Sunday. Not very crowded and more of a local bar feel. Went by myself and sat at a 4-top, no openings at the bar. Promptly greeted, warmly. Drink came back right away, ordered (I had checked the online menu so I knew what I wanted). Greek burger and fries, cooked medium. The food came out no more than 12 minutes after ordering, and it was piping hot. Burger overall extremely tasty but a tad over cooked. Fries could have been a little more crisp. But the feta cheese was melting, perfect bun, peppers, onion. I did put some mustard on. But my drinks never got low, very attentive service, and a great experience overall.

We got there taking a bypass around wreck on interstate. BPleasant surprise. Not fancy, mainly a sports bar. Great burger, grilled. Good hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. Excellent service.

Went here for the first time. We went with the kids and sat outside. They allow smoking outside but it really was not bothersome. If more people would have lit up I'm sure it would have been. Wife got a hamburger well done yet parts were quite pink. I ordered a chili dog. Warning the chili is spicy. Would been nice to know beforehand. Hot dog was dang good, aside from being overcooked and chewy. The fries are probably their best item. Tea was sour. Fries were really good. The wing chips or raw fries were not good. Fries alone add two stars to the review.

Moved to the neighborhood three years ago. After moving into my new house my dad and I stopped in to grab a burger before he hit the road. Honestly, it was a great burger, nice local joint type of atmosphere, cold beer and a game was on. I remember thinking this could be a great regular sport for me. I've been several times and each time the service has gotten worse. So has the food and the cleanliness of the building. The bar and wait staff are always drinking. My wife was propositioned by a piss drunk regular when I left to use the bathroom. And did I mention people are always smoking inside? I thought that was illegal? Until Lucky's can get back on track I recommend passing which is a shame. This place used to be great.

A solid 3. For always being friendly, fast service. & good food at a good value. A real locals bar. Has several TVS inside & out with sound for a good game day place. Not overly crowded. Is right off of interstate but has comfortable atmosphere girls n guys feel welcome here. Is showing it's age but still a good place to come have a drink & sometimes catch live music or even karaoke if you like it. Every time we've eating here I've gotten something different & you wouldn't think it would be good ? Bit it's been very good & like I say always a good value.

Weird experience. The wait staff hung all over patrons. Perhaps they were regulars. For a moment I thought I was at Hooters. We were told to seat ourselves but when we choose a seat we were told it was reserved. While asking server questions about menu she seemed perplexed and had to shout out our questions to other servers. On the plus side the food was good.
