We drove here on our way home from edisto beach. Definitely worth the detour. Delicious fries. Had the pimiento cheese fried green tomato burger...amazing

We ran into the Fillin' Station Diner at the Charleston Brews and Burgers event last weekend, and waited patiently in line for our quarter of a burger. I must say, the woman running the line was so, so polite and gracious. There was a bit of a wait, and she apologized to everyone as they came up to receive their burger (though she didn't need to)! This was hands down the best burger at the event - which I later found out they won! The burger had pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes and was cooked medium rare. It was juicy and ohhh so delicious. I am looking forward to trying the actual diner!

What a pleasant surprise to stumble upon. No pun intended for those that are Stumbleupon.com fanatics. There is no similarity between this review and that website. I promise. Really I do. A year ago on March 20th at the wish of his wife, the owner opened a diner in the small town of Hollywood, SC. I mean small. I mean, if you blink and miss the one traffic light, you are out of the town limits. This diner, filled with old automotive decor, a bathroom with a sink that looks like an tool box, murals all around the building and burgers and fries and pie to die for, is a worth the 30 mile drive outside of Charleston. Here are a few reasons to go here: 1. Homemade pies and brownies made from scratch daily and only 3.75 for a slice of pie. 2. Homemade onion rings and bacon cheddar fries 3. Burgers that are exceptional 4. A great and inexpensive breakfast menu 5. Lots of photo ops 6. Service with a BIG smile 7. Sweet tea made the true Southern way 8. A true family feel. There were a group of missionaries down from Massachusetts and they looked like a group of 5 year old's the way they took pictures with everything in site. Fillin' Station Diner has earned my respect!!! PS - They are only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday - All other days, breakfast and lunch.

If you have a mere 2 dollars you can have the finest cinnamon roll in South Carolina, perhaps the world. It is plate sized, served warm with molten icing on top. My recommendation is: Share it with someone special and just be happy. The service is wonderful as well. Even if you don't need to, experience the bathroom. It is a so adorable. This diner is pure magic. It's is a short road trip out of Charleston and well worth it.

This place projects a blue-collar atmosphere, so I kind of felt like I was trashing up the joint when I walked in wearing a collared shirt. The staff didn't seem to mind that much, although I think we were seated in the back on purpose. No worries, as the food was well worth any embarrassment. If you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods then be sure to stop in and try the fried chips, but remember to leave the cranberry-colored capri pants at home.

My husband & I had a delicious lunch at the Fillin' Station. He had a chef salad and I had the most perfect Patty Melt with a side of broccoli salad. The food was fresh, the ice tea refreshing, and service was great.

I've been wanting to stop at this cute little place for months. I finally had the opportunity to do so, and now I won't pass up that opportunity ever again! The customer service was over the top, and I especially loved the family owned ambiance and smiles all around. Phenomenal food! I only wish that I lived closer so that I could have my tummy jumping for joy from the handmade food made with love. I will definitely be back!

Possibly the best onion rings of my life. Great service and a sweet, friendly staff. I'm really glad we happened upon this restaurant on our way between Charleston and Edisto!
