Had the Pulled Pork sandwich and loved it. Possibly the best bbq I've ever had. This place could very easy be missed as its seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Appears to be family owned. Prices are affordable and reasonable. Service was exceptional. My only fear is that this place won't be open for long because every time I've been here (about 5 times) there is never a single person there. If I lived closer I'd visit every week. Only complaint might be the sauces, there not my favorite also didn't like the baked beans that much. I'd highly recommend the pulled pork also the hush puppies are amazing (they are stuffed with cheese).

Popped by after reading about this place on the bbq trail map of South Carolina! It was a little out of the way, but headed there for an adventure anyway! After reading other reviews we decided to try a sampling of the ribs and mini pulled pork sandwiches. We also tried a sampling of sides. It was only ok! The pulled pork was dry and the ribs a little rubbery. While the baked beans weren't bad, they didn't have any flair like other bbq joints we hit. I will say the hush puppies were pretty good, but whoever wrote earlier that they had cheese in them has obviously never had southern hush puppies! That's corn, dude! The yelp info says they accept credit cards! THEY DON'T! They only accept cash and local checks. There is an ATM on site or they can put you to work washing dishes! Like I said, we wanted an adventure.

Probably some of the best tasting rib meat I've ever tasted, which is saying a lot for me. While I'm not usually a SC BBQ style fan, this place is tasty and a lot of fun. I would go back for the ribs alone. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere absolutely perfect for a BBQ joint. If you go, make sure you have cash on hand. They don't take cards, and the ATM machine ran out of money while we were there.

I used to be a regular here. Years ago. I decided to stop in and have some fried shrimp and hush puppies. It used to be a great secret that not only do they have great BBQ , but great seafood. Well , not any more. Hush puppy batter has changed , fried shrimp batter has changed. Not good at all. And to add insult to injury the "special dessert " wAs banana pudding. I watched the cook pour the vanilla pudding from the monarch container , add some bananas , and throw some crunchy nilla wafers on top. So much for keeping it real pink pig......

Every time I come down to SC to visit family, I always drop by the Pink Pig. Great ribs and chopped pork. Hush puppies are awesome as is the mustard based sauce. Last time I tried the fried oysters and clams and they were excellent as well. I always take my kids and they've always been friendly (not sure why others experienced unfriendly staff)--maybe we went at the right time. I'll be back again next time I'm there.

I was buying some amazingly yummy tree-filed peaches at the stand at the Shell station when I spied "The Pink Pig" across the street. Parked out front: the local sheriff and a couple county cops (give me credit for resisting the temptation....). Excellent ribs and the best baked beans I've had in a long time. Friendly service, if sometimes a bit slow. However, it was the lunch crush and who's in a hurry in the south anyway. The only thing that could make it better: if they had dessert. But I had those peaches!

That chopped pork platter, tho. Seriously. Also, they have absolutely fantastic slaw, so please overlook the plastic chairs and folding tables.

I admit. I was a doubter, but - it is damn good. The BBQ was awesome. AND...I admit that the blue crabs were great too. They proved their food is excellent - I am convinced. HINT - stop in for lunch.

Definately off the beaten path, and worth a drive from Savannah. Tasty bbq. Casual. And pink alllllll over. Take note of the flying pig lights. The service was friendly, the food quick, and the sauces a load of fun to try. The Brunswick Stew was tasty as well. Tip: Check the hours of operation before you go. Not open every day of the week.

Aside from finding touristy places to eat, I try to find off the beaten path. I found the Pink Pig and since it is a stones throw way from Savannah, I decided on my way to SC to try it. It's definitely tacky but food was not bad. I loved the three sauces you could take. I sat out side, and took a bottle out with me as I didn't see any plastic cups to put it in. A woman in a few moments quickly came out and confiscated it. She said that the flies could get on it and contaminate it. Umm ok.. I saw plenty of flies inside that could do the same thing. Anyhow staff, wasn't' really friendly. Kinda gave the impression they didn't care. Prices if I recall weren't exactly cheap either. Anyhow if you are looking for not so fancy, try it on your way to SC or back, at least for the sauces :)

This place has really great food. We had a seafood platter which my wife and I shared. It had a trio of delights including local steamed blue crab and shrimp as well as steamed snow crab obviously not local to the area. The hush puppies were great but there could have been a few more. The cole slaw was real tasty as well. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they offer all you can eat blue crabs for $25 and as great as their blue crabs are, next time I would go for that. It may take me three hours to attain the all I can eat stage but they assured me they would hang in there with me until I was completely done.

If you like Blue Crabs (I know it is a BBQ place) on thur thru Sat (in season for crabs) the all-you-can-eat deal is amazing!!! They bring you more than you can eat in the first helping. While not huge, crabs were cooked perfectly! Hard to find blues in this area, surprisingly, and this will be my favorite place to return when I am in during crab season.

I use to love the Pink Pig! They still has great BBQ, but the service is not friendly nor makes you feel welcome. The nasty old lady who paints on her makeup like crusty the clown gives glaring looks of pure stink eye. Especially to families with children. I observed this on numerous occasions. NOT A KID FRIENDLY STAFF... The ambiance is great & food, especially for the price. I lowered my original 5 star review due to the sour puss attitudes from all the employees here.

The Pink Pig is a wonderful BBQ place. Tacky as all get out while being wonderful at the same time. Plastic pigs hung from the ceiling on fishing line. Everything is served on plastic plates and plastic silverware. They have most all Southern BBQ items you can imagine. Hush puppies, coleslaw, baked beans, ribs, chopped BBQ pork, shrimp, chicken, flounder, hamburgers and chicken fingers. I love all four of their sauces they make and also sell. I love that I can actually get Sweet Tea here. Come to think of it, I think The Pink Pig introduced me to Sweet Tea. I drove by The Pink Pig during my commute to work every morning and every evening. I'd stop probably once a week, while I actually wanted and craved it every day. Our company even catered Pink Pig to meetings and we would drive here from Palmetto Bluff to get lunch. From Savannah, GA just take Oglethorpe Ave to the Talmadge Bridge. The bridge becomes 17 North. Follow 17 about 4 miles. Take a right onto Hwy 170A. Proceed 3.5 miles. The building is on the right just before the caution light.

If you don't like tacky you better get your food to go. If you're relying on your GPS to find the place, good luck. I was running three GPS's to get a comparison and they all had us miles from where this place is. We drove an hour to get here and it was worth it. As usual when my family hits a BBQ spot we order as much variety as possible. Everything was really good, well seasoned and juicy. I'm not much of a sauce person but I'm willing to try them. They have some real good ones here. My favorite was one that had some real spicy kick to it. Didn't care for the Cole Slaw too much. Had some a sweet background flavor I really don't care for. I think it may have been cinnamon or something similar. It was pretty late when we got here, just a bit before closing and that may have had something to do with how dry the BBQ chicken was. It was the last one and if they were keeping it warm all day, that would explain it. We'd surely go back when in the area.

We love eating at the Pink Pig. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. My husband loves the ribs and I love the clam strips. I know, "who eats clam strips at a bbq restaurant? " but try them they are great!! Also they have several different sauces, I love the spicy one!! The decorations is the restaurant are wonderful!

Im from California and I was visiting Savannah, Ga, I noticed on the map that South Carolina was right over the bridge and decided to search for a place to eat on yelp. The Pink Pig was pretty close and easy to find. When I walked into the pink pig I loved it! The decor is tacky cute! The service was awesome! The woman who served us was very friendly and helpful. The prices are awesome. I had the Brunswick Stew and the pulled pork plate. Delicious!!! I've never had Brunswick stew and it was great! I wish I could have brought some home with me! The pulled pork was awesome and I love the sweet BBQ sauce. All in all I was completely satisfied!!! I wish I could have explore south Carolina more.
