Just walked it. The staff is very friendly and the place has a very laid back setting . We are coming back tonight to hear the local entertainment . Im from Massachusetts and this place reminds me of the coffee shops i used to go to.

Good Food. Drinks. Atmosphere. I like to go here and relax with my boo. This coffee shop is located in a perfect place for us. The parking is scarce if it is not walking distance for you. The price is not that bad. The pastries are so good. The salads are delicious and very sizable. All around great place.

This place is awesome. Has a variety of seating options. From tall bar stools at the window, to family sized tables and couches there are plenty accommodations whatever the size of your group may be. There is a whole shelf full of board games to play if that's your thing. I got a caramel latte and my wife got an iced coffee and both were outstanding. The place is very homey and the location is in picturesque downtown Greer. I love this location as it is not extremely busy but not completely deserted.

Located in downtown Greer, the downtown area is small and not very busy. We were able to park within a few feet of the door. The store is very eclectic and has many things to look at and enjoy. They even have old classic board games, the seating is very nice and comfortable. There is a small bakery in the back of the store "The Chocolate Toad" that makes fresh items to sell at the coffee shop. It smells amazing in here, I could stay all day. Order: French press Sumatra(dark) & Costa Rica(medium) The french press was delicious and perfectly made.

Amazing place! Visiting from chicago and I must admit that I had my doubts about finding this type of coffee shop (Great coffee with a hipster vibe ) but i was very impressed! Super friendly staff, a crazy selection of flavors and AMAZING baked goods! This place is a must the next time I'm in town!

This little cafe is too cute! Plus, I had an awesome cup of coffee here and I definitely recommend you try out some of the baked goods. I had a chocolate chip cookie and it was nothing short of divine.

Wow! A little family run Cafe in the middle of Downtown Greer. Great Coffee. Tried a few things from the bakery and sandwich menu - all turned out to be good too. Nice casual setting with wall paintings, sofas and board games. Not your regular big-brand coffee shop - but really worth a visit if you are close by.

Great little family run coffee shop in the middle of Historic Downtown Greer. The atmosphere is great as they have board games, used books and a little market selling fresh local dairy and produce. We got the iced coffee and I was slightly disappointed that it is not cold brewed and that they just chill regular coffee. It makes the coffee a little on the bitter side as opposed to if it were cold pressed. Overall a great place and I highly recommend it!

We used this cafe as a venue for a bridal shower. It was perfect! The venue is very casual with abstract paintings on the walls and local pottery on display. They were extremely accommodating and prepared a delicious array of ham and turkey wraps, spinach and artichoke dip, and pasta salad with lemonade, coffee, and sweet tea as beverages. They let us rearrange the furniture for the party. If I lived in the Greenville area, I would go back! The owner was really friendly and told us about a ladies' night his wife runs the second Tuesday of every month with meal/beverage deals and jewelry/make-up/accessory vendors set up with specials in the restaurant. Wish I lived there so I could check it out!

This place makes me happy because they are pretty good at everything they do. The first several times that I went to Stomping Grounds has been for breakfast. The Raspberry Chiptotle Breakfast Burrito. I really don't have much more to say. The name just really makes me happy to even think about. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my friend who comes along with me to breakfast likes their coffee. I'm more of a Chai Latte girl, and as far as those go, they have one of the best in the upstate I've had. They aren't the kind of place that I would recommend going if you have somewhere to be quickly because the service is a little slow, but each time we have been in it has gotten a little bit quicker. It isn't slow enough that I wouldn't keep going back. The last thing you need to know is that they are open for wining. Yes, they are a great spot for having a nice glass of wine with friends or with a good book. They also started having tastings and milkshakes of JB's Proof. If you haven't had it yet go get some NOW. It is boozy ice cream. Yes. They have finally found a way to make liquor frozen enough to make ice cream out of it. If for no other reason, go for the taste.

I really enjoyed this little coffee place. I was visiting a friend, and while he was out working, I decided to check this place out mainly because I was looking for a place where I could get a sandwich. I didn't feel like going all the way to the city, and I wanted to stick in Greer, and this place sounded good. So, since I came here for the sandwiches, let's talk about those first. You can get your panini fix with the Cliff (ham, bacon, provolone, grilled onions, and a tangy raspberry chipotle sauce), a turkey or roast beef panini, or a DD Special (ham, provolone, grilled onions, and a spicy pineapple habanero sauce). They also offer classics like a club, BLT, chicken salad sandwich, and more unusual fare like their Gyro and pimento cheese sandwiches (in addition to a classic grilled cheese and grilled ham/ cheese). These are all VERY reasonably priced, at $5-6 AND they come with a side (your choice of pasta salad, chips/pickle, side salad, pretzel, or hummus/carrots). There's also a Pick 2 Combo Option for $5.95 that gives you 1/2 a sandwich and a side salad or cup of soup. I decided on The Cliff. The bread was nicely crisped, and the ham spilled abundantly over the side. AND GUESS WHAT, GUYS? THEY USED REAL BACON. I have been to plenty of places that use pre-cooked, and you can really tell a difference. Granted it was only a slice or 2, but I'd prefer a single slice of legit bacon over 4 pieces of pre-cooked bacon, any day. The raspberry/chipotle mixture was definitely more of a jam-y consistency and taste. I didn't really get a lot of the chipotle taste, but the balance of raspberry and ham was strangely delicious. The side I chose was the chips/pickle, which was just a handful of plain Lay's chips. I was expecting something a little crisper, so I'd probably get a different side next time. OKAY. Now on to coffee. They offer a lot of different kinds, but I was charmed by the French Press on the menu. Also, the website is wrong. They currently offer one size, which is the medium, for $3.50. If you're into French pressed coffee, you won't be disappointed! Presentation was A-plus because they actually brought out a French press. I was giddy. I love the wonderful flavor: bitterness is leached out, leaving you with a delicious coffee that can easily be consumed black. I got some sort of light Jamaican roast, which was delicious. Also, it stayed hot FOREVER. As in, I was there around 3pm, I ran some errands, then went back to my friends' place and it was STILL warm at 6pm. That's an ouch waiting to happen. Now that we've talked about the food and beverages, on to the ambiance! Very homey and warm, and kind of.... Hip? I don't know if that's exactly the right word, but it reminds me of a casual atmosphere, where indie kids go for a post-study coffee break. There was a lot of utilization of wooden furniture and large, expansive family-style tables. Also some couches. There were mostly families when I went there, so I'm not really certain of the general clientele. PROS: Affordable and yummy food. Plenty of seating--from couches to small tables, to family-style seats. Friendly staff, and it seems to be family owned. Neat. Cozy atmosphere, and it was pretty quiet. Seems like a great place to study. You get an entire French Press (when you order that drink) for only $3.50! Roughly about 3 cups. They have a free Customer Loyalty card. Once you get a certain amount of points, you can get a free coffee. Definitely great for someone who comes here a lot. It counts anything you get on the card. Coffee was really good, and BEST OF ALL: NOT BITTER. Yay! CONS: Training someone new at the cash register, so the time was a bit more than I thought it would be, but not unbearable. Probably around 12 minutes. They were apologetic about it, which I appreciated. I think the wifi was free, but it wouldn't let me in. I didn't see any passwords at the desk, and I felt like they were too busy for me to interrupt them. My coffee was scorching hot (see above... it was hot for roughly 4-5 hours! Eeepp!) So I tried to cool if off with some half and half, but it was empty. I requested some, but it still hadn't been brought out by the time I left. I could see parking being an issue from time to time. It wasn't for me, but it appears to be strictly street parking. THE VERDICT: I think while it may be more of a 4.5 experience, they deserve to be rounded up. It seems like a relatively small, local business, and the people who run the shop are very passionate about what they do. The food is well worth the cost, and my total bill with a sandwich, side, and coffee was around $11. The quiet, relaxed atmosphere is very refreshing from some other busy coffee places I've been to, and there's plenty of seating for any kind of comfort level. I'd come back here if I was in the area, for sure! Try some of their wine maybe, or some of their sweets, and come back and update this review.

5 stars for a coffee shop? Oh no, it is so much more! I stumbled on this place with some time to kill and was pleasantly surprised. They offer everything you would want from a cafe but also have a beer/wine bar and a chocolate shop on premise. Lots of seating, all with electric outlets to go with the wifi. Summary: Character, comfort, class, flavor and fun.

Very cozy place! Good coffee! You can buy raw milk and another products! #coffeeshop The only think I would improve will be the music and the the back area of the place, looks little bit messy.

Wow!! Best coffee shop I've been too in a long time. They have Italian sodas with every flavor imaginable! All kinda of sandwiches , gyros and even beer and wine. It's not your ordinary coffee shop and has the best staff in Greer! They welcome you and remember your name on the first visit! I'm still going to give them 5 stars because of quality of food and staff. The only negative is the wait time And that's because they have one person making the food and would really consider adding one more to offset the long waiting. Other than that, love it here and looking forward to going back soon:)

Great spot in Greer, very friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, not a bad place for a first date, especially considering the wind bar. The only strange thing was that I ordered hummus and pita and got a generous serving of humus but it came with potato chips. They were good chips, just not what I was expecting, maybe they ran out of Pitas? It wasn't a big deal, I didn't mention it to the server, but thought it was a little odd.

Delicious pimento cheese n ham pinnini was perfect and my wife enjoyed the gyro wrap. Brew coffee was hot and flavorful with a free refill! Live music starts at 7 on Friday and Saturday nights close at 10 not 11.

After frequenting Wild Ace a good bit I decided I needed to branch out and try the places we always walk by to get to Ace. I have seen Stomping Grounds a good bit but for some reason I thought it would only have breakfast foods. The gyro wrap was amazing, and they offer wine smoothies!! They have plenty of board games to play and a variety of different sitting environments. I am very interested in going back!

Anyone who knows us knows how much we love Stomping Grounds. Coffee and food are both excellent. Never been disappointed with anything. We are at Stomping Grounds almost as much as we are at home so we would definitely recommend it to anyone :-)

A really nice and cozy atmosphere. Really good service and a pretty decent variety of lattes. We love the pastries and desserts, their rich and tasty. There board games available to play, witch is nice. we go here for meetings and when we feel to have a good walk around the historic Downtown Greer, witch we love.

Met Lisa from the stomping ground. She was very nice and pleasant. Thank you. We were looking for breakfast and they had a very limited selection so she told us about other places in the downtown Greer area.

Very cozy with a great variety of drinks and snacks to satisfy any craving. The staff are so helpful and very involved with the happenings of the City of Greer. We went one of the few nights they offer live music and it was a Celtic blue grass type of band- very nice. Plenty of nice seating areas and convenient to the park. They have a new regular and I have brought back friends.

Used my monocle to locate a good restaurant in the area and stumbled upon this neat little coffee/lunch shop. Upon entering and adjusting our eyes to the environment, it was definitely a place where people were hanging out so we decided to give it a try. We walked to the counter and I asked as I usually do about something on the menu that looks good to me. I was curtly told "I don't know, I just drive an hour and a half to make as wicked and I am just filling in!" - Really!!!! - I seriously just about walked out. However we continued because the other reviews were good. It's amazing to me how someone doesn't understand that making one tiny "cold" statesmen can ruin what was otherwise a really nice experience. The food ended up being really good. We had their breakfast sandwich and it was hot and tasty. The place was clean as well. My suggestion is to convert your entire pos to an iPad running square so you can check people out quicker and even keep your employees happier versus trying to make me wait for them to figure out some poorly designed frustrating system. It will pay off by keeping the hipsters in tow.

We stopped by here needing an early breakfast and coffee. The coffee was really tasty, the ambience was really nice and the staff is super friendly. The breakfast food was pretty decent and the other items on the menu (salads, sandwiches) sound good too. Would recommend if in town.

No one greeted me. That's the first thing I noticed when I entered The Stomping Grounds. "What are you gonna have" that was my greeting when I walked to the counter to order.Wow. I thought with the good reviews, i would receive out of this world service. No not here. I have received better greetiings at Starbucks. The coffee was a bit mild/weak for my tastes but it was drinkable. I purchased a tall Jamacian blend and was underwhelmed. The tables were dirty from lunch?? (it was between 3-4) when i visited. I have read the reviews really emphasing the ambiance ok so no unless a small child running throughout is ambiance. Maybe I will try the wine bar at night. I say no to the coffee shop it was not worth going back.

Ever wonder what it would be like to put a cool New York City coffee shop into a quaint small town like Greer, SC? If so, then Stomping Grounds is the place to go. Whether you're looking for a 7am coffee to get your day going, or a 9pm dessert w/hot tea to close out your day, you won't go wrong here. They also serve bagels, salads, and several other light foods. Most evenings showcase some of the area's musical talent. Acoustical guitar, a solo chello, or smooth vocals will set the perfect relaxing mood. The owner has done a wonderful job renovating this space to the coffee shop downtown Greer has needed for years. Definitely stop in if you're in the area!

Great place to hangout in downtown Greer. The coffee is good, desserts and bagels are fabulous, and the olive plate I tried was great. Live entertainment and fiddle music in the back creates a great atmosphere.

I'm very excited about this place, I'm from Seattle and I am always on the lookout for local coffee shops and this place has a fantastic atmosphere and a cozy feel to it. I hate to not give it 5 stars, but I've ordered food three times, and each time they've gotten my order wrong, which is frustrating but I can overlook it. Also, I was really disheartened to hear today from their staff member that the breads and pies are ordered frozen, not brought in fresh. Lastly, I don't mind that they buy their deli meats and cheeses from the grocery store but the brand they choose is way too salty and processed. I'd love to see them use fresh deli meat instead, as a much healthier and by far tastier alternative. The sandwich I got today (with the wrong cheese and meat) was so salty and the meat was so slimy, and the bagel was wet on the inside from being defrosted. I had to throw it all away, which was a waste of $7 and a waste of the staff member's time to prepare it. Very disappointing. This place is still fairly new to Greer and just getting started, I believe only about a year old. I will absolutely still come here often for the coffee, which is fantastic, by the way, and will simply get my lunch elsewhere until they are able to start offering fresh ingredients instead of pre-packaged and frozen. STILL, despite my food misadventures, I still adore this little shop and see its fantastic potential and think it's a perfect gem for this little downtown. I haven't been here in the evening yet but I'm really looking forward to it.

I cannot rave enough about this spot. Finally! A great coffee shop that isn't Starbucks. If one more person from the South recommends a Starbucks for me to visit....ugh. being FROM Seattle, Starbucks out here suck. But Stomping Grounds?? YES! Service is phenomenal. Coffee is terrific. Ambiance is perfect. This is a hip urban coffee shop with the service of your local neighborhood 'stomping ground' ....they have ALL kinds of events including wine tasting and local artists and musicians featured. I've made this my new haunt. The ambiance is fresh and clean with plenty of room to spread out and get work done or just sit with friends and chat. They offer a full menu, too!! I always end up ordering a snack. For a coffee shop, they are right on the money.

I have been looking for two months for a great coffee shop that reminds me of coffee shops from the NW and I found it. Yummy homemade baked goods, great coffee, reasonable prices, large shop with seating options and space to breathe and last but not least friendly and helpful staff. If you are looking for a great study place away from the chaos and rushed feeling of the nearby big city, Stomping Grounds in Greer is for you. Did I mention they have free parking?
