When I walk in I instantly get the feeling I'm back home in New York. The staff has repeatedly engaged me in good conversation, laughs and of course delivered great pizza. The slices are huge and foldable, like any true NY pizzeria would have. The toppings are quality, not filler garbage you get with other places in Greenville. And as of today I've tried them all, minus the mac and cheese pizza (soon). The prices are more than reasonable, especially being downtown. So I'd suggest to anyone looking for quality, true New York pizza to stroll into Vic's and grab a slice.

Great service and super nice and friendly people! You can personalize anything you want. I would recommend this for a quick and satisfying lunch. Just be sure to get in before they run out!

Exactly the fill-your-belly New York style pizza we needed! We got traditional pepperoni with extra sauce and it was fantastic. Pepperoni had a little kick and sauce was robust and balanced...not sweet. Yummy!

Was once a nice place but it appears a change in help has ruined this establishment. Condescending staff.

I have tried on 4 different occasions to call and order a pizza from Vic's, no one ever answers the phone! Not a great way to run a business.

  • Perri C.

Worst pizza experience I've ever had. We ordered a spicy buffalo chicken pizza. The slices had maximum two pieces of chicken on each slice. There was nothing but cheese-average tasting cheese at best. I was incredibly disappointed considering the reviews. Never buying a pizza from here again.

Being a New Yorker pizza is in our dna. This place is some of the best pizza I have had in the 16 years I've been living in the south. As soon as I saw the pizza I knew it was New York pizza.

This hole-in-the-wall pizza place downtown just a turn off Main Street is undoubtedly the best pizza place around! You pay by the slice (and it's a reasonable price) or you can buy a whole pizza. The slices are huge and delicious with a thin and crispy crust. Each pizza tastes amazing, even just the plain old cheese! The sauce is outstanding and is probably what makes their pizza so phenomenal. Though it may be worn down inside, it provides a friendly, laid-back vibe which I love. If you are craving pizza, this is the place to go. Absolutely amazing.

Didn't make correct order Poorly done Maybe there was tomato sauce but not sure Several toppings could not be located at all

Worst customer experience of my life. I rarely write reviews, but this was beyond terrible. We called for a delivery and when we opened the pizza box the toppings and cheese were all piled on one side (it looked like someone dropped it). I called Vic's to see if we could bring it back and get it remade and he instantly starting yelling at me. I'm talking full volume screaming. It was literally 0 -100. I asked if I could speak to a manager and guess what, it was the owner of the store! Shocked, I asked if I could at least bring the pizza in to show him. After I walked down to this place, I told him who I was. Now, based on my previous conversation, I knew this wasn't going to end well so I began recording on my phone. After finally suggesting he give me a refund for the pizza, he said F*ck no he wasn't going to do that, took the pizza box away from me and threw it on the ground and then asked me what I was going to do about it. Basically after another minute or so of this, I said I would have to call the cops and showed him the video. He finally gave me my money back after basically threatening to call police and sharing the video of him going ballistic. I have never had such an awful experience. I would recommend everyone stay far, far away from this place. I live and work downtown so I peek in from time to time to see if this guy is still there and luckily I haven't seen him. I would hate anyone else to experience something like this.

  • Pete D.

Great pizza at great price with even better service ! I was made to feel very welcome by one of the owners when I first walked in. The pizza was very fresh and enjoyable. The slices were larger than most places serve. The only thing I would have liked was a slightly larger place. I felt a bit cramped in the very small location but I'd definitely come back.

  • Sabina M.

I would leave it even more stars if possible lol. Absolutely love pizza from this place. I read someone wrote that they cool it on a wire screen blah blah. So what? I dont care if they cook it on a rock the product is amazing. What really keeps us going back is the fact that the pizza is not stuffed with stuff. Very light and flavorful. The fresh basil on margarita is everything! This is one of the rare pizza places that we decided we want to go back and we will. As far as the delivery I don't care if they deliver or not. Yea it's nice but think about it, they deliver within 3 miles radius. So if you can't spare 5 mins to go get it then I don't know. Also the sauces that are made from scratch are the bomb. Ok I'm done lol

Excellent pizza, easily the best in the upstate. An overall great experience. I will certainly return.

This is by far the best pizza in Greenville. I would recommend anyone who is wanting pizza to go here instead of the other two pizza places downtown.

To update my previous rating (see below), there is new management and I am not as impressed. It just doesn't taste the same as it did... Best NY Pizza in Greenville. I work right around the corner on Main, and I eat here often...and I'm never disappointed. Want an authentic Brooklyn feel to your lunch? You're sure to get that from Frank as well. Pretty much every time:) I've had the Pizza, the garlic knots, the calzones, the stuffed pizza- pretty much everything other than the wings (which I hear good things about)- and I enjoy it all. Try it!

  • Yong-Yong H.

A local hole in the wall NY style pizzeria ran by a hilarious smart a$$ of an Italian (who by the way will frequently sing to such songs by Sinatra or Andrea Bocelli), offering a variety of NY style pizza's that you will find on the streets of NYC. The Bread and the cheese is spot on. Food is cheap and good. If for some reason you're expecting 5 star service, then lower your expectations... like yesterday! Recommendations: Bruschetta pizza and garlic knots Warning: CASH ONLY

  • Scott R.

This pizza place has recently changed owners, and the pizza is not the same. The pizza is not bad, but it is NOT NY PIZZA. First off they cook it on a wire screen, so it does not have the texture or taste of NY pizza. Also the pizza and sauce does´nt have any real taste. It is very bland. What they get right, the layering of the cheese. The layer of cheese on the pizza is a nicely spread and of the right texture. They are new owners, and hopefully they will get better. I wish them the best of luck.

  • Matt W.

I'll agree with other reviews of this place. It's a great hole in the wall where you can get an authentic slice of NY style pizza. The guy who runs the place makes the experience feel that much more authentic. Best pizza in Greenville IMO. Just be sure to have cash.

  • Rob J.

Good concept for downtown. Great pizza by the slice and a value in whole pies. Recently started taking credit cards which makes life a bit easier. Have eaten there for lunch multiple times and had them cater a company event with 30 pies. Worked with us to schedule multiple deliveries to insure that there was a regular supply of hot pizza. Their veggie pizza is one of my favorites.

  • C S.

My 2nd favorite Ny style pizza in Greenville. Calzone was ok. Good price. Cash only. The pizza here is in very similar quality to that of Jon's pizza. The staff is more friendly at Jon's pizza.

  • Vikki M.

The guy behind the counter is a douche. This was my first time visiting this eatery. So be prepared to have cash only. He huffed and puffed and rolled his eyes when he said you know this is cash only right after I had ordered. I said I just saw the small sign here. He said its in the window. But at that point I was already unhappy because when I asked for a piece of pepperoni he gave me the old piece that was left next to a nice hot pepperoni pie. So never got to taste the food. The crappy attitude is enough for me never to go back with cash or stop by an ATM. Oh and I'm starving being 6 months pregnant that pie looked so good. Never again will I stop by there if in Greenville and defiantly will tell people to avoid the crap they call service there.

    (1)
  • Lola L.

I ordered 1 slice-I got a piece of cold pizza laying on top of the counter reheated in the oven for 30 seconds. Not appetizing. Not impressed.

  • George C.

Good New York pizza. Pizza sold by the slice or whole. I A bit small for sit down but better than anything else downtown. As of this writing they were cash only. But this is their first week in business.

Was told about this new pizza joint by the owner. I am from the Charlotte area and travel to Greenville occasionally for business. I took one of my colleagues to check out the new "New York Style Pizza Joint". The wait staff was friendly, as I asked questions about the menu. I am a vegetarian so the vegetable toppings are important to me when selecting a pizza place. They have a reasonable amount of vegetables on the menu so I was pleased. The price per slice is great! and they are open late night for late night hunger. My colleague was very happy to be informed about this since its walking distance from her office uptown, and its reasonable prices.

Surprisingly good ny pizza, and reasonably priced too. Can't wait to go back.

They need to answer the damn phone! We have called over 10 times today. One time someone answered and then put the phone down and never picked it up.

  • Rick H.

Good pizza but service is awful. Went over for lunch at 12:35. Waited for about 5 minutes listening to them talk about wives and girlfriends. Then the guy behind the counter states " We are closed unless you want this last piece of ...". What the heck, I wasted my time for this. Who is closed for lunch at 12:35??? Idiots!!! They better get their act together or they wont be around long.

good new york style pizza i was told about it by one of the other resturant managers downtown it is still all cash as of 8-30-12 definitely a hole in the wall that was good and inexpensive. always good to find a place that sells by the slice guy behind the counter not over friendly only person in the place didnt even say thanks for coming in when i left would go back for a quick in and out but would prefer barleys tap room for quality and hospitality when i want great new york style pizza downtown
