As others have mentioned, Salsarita's is similar to other "build your own burrito" chains, but they are a bit cheaper, offer a variety of smaller sized items (as opposed to a Chipotle burrito, which I only knock out when I'm very hungry), and they run daily specials to make it more affordable. This particular Salsarita's has great atmosphere, from the music to the service staff. Just about everyone I know who frequents here knows Billy by name, and the rest of the staff are also friendly and open to talk beyond a quick order. I almost always grab the two taco combo. It hits that sweet spot of flavor, variety, portion, and price that makes it a great deal. Their loyalty program will get you 10% back in the form of a $10 gift card every $100.

They used to have really good food, but have started to water down their queso and use less syrup in their soda machine. They also put less meat in your food. They still have good chips though.

The chicken is not fresh. It is frozen. The food had very little flavor and everything was cold. You could have a better chicken anything at Mcdonalds.

Not worth the price. My wife and I once enjoyed Salsaritas on the weekend but after today, we will not be back. The staff has changed and the present themselves as if it is an inconvenience to take s customers order.

If you are in the mood for some quick Mexican food it's a good option. If you've been to Chipotle you should be familiar with the setup. You order at the counter and choose what meat you want (chicken steak, etc.) and then you choose how you want that meat served: in a burrito, on tacos, on a taco salad, etc. And then you choose your toppings from behind the bar. It's very quick and very easy. The set up and the options are just like Chipotle, but pretty much every one of the ingredients is a bit better than Chipotle's. They each have just a bit more of a home-cooked flavor and seem to be prepared with more TLC. I would probably give this 3.5 stars if i could. It's pretty good for the price range, but there are better options on Woodruff such as the AWESOME Tropical Chicken Grill. There are also better Mexican restaurants in town for around the same price (like Papas & Beer), but what this definitely has going for it is how fast and easy it is.

Very good. I frequent this establishment often, usually at lunch. Salsa is fresh, chips are never stale. I get the shrimp soft taco and black beans. Price is perfect, atmosphere is friendly. You won't be disappointed.

Tried to place a catering order with Woodruff Store but the phone number listed on their website is out of service. Way to go guys - management at its finest

Nice little place. I enjoyed my overstuffed chicken taco and and my husband had a "small" steak burrito, which was actually quite large. Their chips are seasoned, giving them a different flavor, but they were light and freshly made. The mild salsa is a chunky pico de gallo with fresh cilantro, which was very good. The medium salsa is more salsa-ish in texture, and the mild and medium combined is the way to go. It's a lot like Moe's where you can choose your own toppings, but Salsarita's generously offers a variety of combo selections to suit everyone's tastes. The employees were very friendly. We would choose this place over expensive and overrated Chipotle any day.

Edit OVERPRICED!!!! If you want to pay a lot of money for sub par food than this is the place for you. Not worth the price at all. Got a burrito with a combo and cost me just over 10 bucks. There are plenty of places with better quality food for a reasonable price.

Salsarita's has had a fraught history which usually involves replacing something good and then taking off a year or so later. First it knocked out the Fuddrucker's on Main. Then it replaced the old post office on Augusta (although really we should blame USPS for moving from that grand old building to the current boxy piece of crap up the road). Now it's out here on Woodruff Road for some inexplicable reason. Salsarita's is your typical American stuffed burrito place, kinda like Moe's, although it's a little better on the whole. Their chicken burritos are good, but the chips the meals come with are over-seasoned. Other than that, it's pretty generic.

Pretty good Americanized Mexican food made to order. Same concept as Moe's, Chipotple, and Qdoba.

Always try to make it to Salsaritas for lunch when in Greenville. Chips are light and tasty. Burritos and tacos are good and lots of stuff to add. Help is always friendly. Good value!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
