I love going to Jason's, especially off hours, like not lunch or dinner time specific. It's clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. All you can eat salad bar is the best in town. Literally every item is fresh, so many choices plus the garlic bread with hummus is available and the cute little ginger and corn bread mini muffins, yum. Great choices of dressings too plus oil and vinegar. Always ice cream for dessert too. The over sized potatoes are good too and all of the soups and sandwiches which is what my husband gets, like the BLT, so much bacon....

Iama Critic Rating - Jason's Deli - 4 Stars 824 Woods Crossing Road, Greenville, SC Overall: All you can eat salad is top notch. Get a sandwich, take it home, and eat the salad till your heart's content. Check out our pictures on our Facebook page and see some of the awesome salads we made. $7.69 - All You Can Eat Salad Bar - 4 Stars Or one trip for $3.99. Go wild, go crazy, that is what a salad bar is for! The salad bar is rather limited in item count, but the items offered are all very good. $8.59 - New York Yankee Sandwich - 4 Stars Whoa! That is a lot of meat! Supposedly 3/4 of a pound! I naturally did not eat this gorgeous sandwich until the nest day for lunch, because I had all the salad I could eat off the salad bar. This sandwich was superb, even the next day. Sadly the boring chips were a waste of plate space. They were stale and wet before they made it to the table. I was charged $1.29 for a "canned soda", yet I did not order a canned soda. This additional charge may have been for additional meat to make this sandwich a 1 pounded, but I am not sure. $8.38 - Reuben Sandwich - 4 Stars This sandwich was wonderful. It wasn't as grand as the "New York Yankee", but who really needs 1 pound of meat on a sandwich?

Love the self serve salad bar! Great size variety in the menu but the reason the rating is low is because food is all prepackaged and frozen and you can tell when you are eating it! The service is great but the salad bar is low on choices and variety. Now I must give them a hand for being all fresh with no preservatives whatsoever! This restaurant is a fun, environmental friendly, and healthy deli with plenty of soup and salad choices... A close competition to Atlanta bread co.

Great Menu and Fresh Food the Salad bar is good

Not the cleanest, slickest, most modern Jason's I've been to, but they do serve the same great sandwiches, soups and the salad bar offers the same stuff as those fancy new locations, so I'm not here to complain. When in Greenville for lunch and I want to keep it cheap and somewhat healthy Jason's is one of my go-to spots. The service is always solid, people are friendly and I know what I'm in for: a good sandwich and a salad bar that gets the job done - every time.

We enjoy the broad menu and usually get one of the manager's specials - a cup of soup and half a sandwich. In true deli style, half a sandwich is a meal. The food is good and the service is prompt. But we are really put off by parents who train their kids to stand and jump around in their chairs at the dinner table at home and then bring them to a restaurant where they will do a header on the floor. It was our bad luck that they chose the table next to ours.

We did not enjoy the food here, but the employees are very nice. I had a hair in my wrap and they were very apologetic. I wouldn't go back even if you paid me, but at least they were nice about it. Two chefs makes much better sandwiches in my opinion.

Well, this place is for the healthy eater, which is exactly what I was aiming for. I'm not that big of a health nut to where I only eat organic, but that is what is served here. I ordered a philly chicken wrap, and steamed veggies as a side. Fresh fruit is also offered as a side item, which I find unusual and refreshing. They have a salad bar (which I will be getting next time), that looked very appetizing. The menu includes soups, wraps and sandwiches from what I can remember. After ordering, your food is made fresh and brought to your table. Overall I love this place, not for the organic side, but for the taste and variety. I will definitely return!

We love Jason's Deli! Wonderful selection of healthy foods - sandwiches, spuds, wraps, salad bar, and more. Gets busy at lunch time! This is a smaller Jason's than we're accustom to, but still good food and service. Was a little disappointed with salad bar because it lacked some items that we've had at other Jason's. But cannot complain because it's still all delicious.

My wife and I used to go to, and also recommend this place a lot. We compare all deli restaurants to our wonderful experiences at Katz's, The Stage, The Carnegie Tavern, as well as a number of many other super New York City restaurants that we frequented while living there. I must say in all honesty, some fool in Jason's corporate head quarters made some really dumb decisions about this restaurant. First of all they removed the helpful menu boards that you could consult when you come in as well as all the the old deli photos and art that they had on their walls. They now have nothing on the walls! They obviously do not train their help who asked some really stupid questions about what we wanted on our pastrami on rye sandwiches. Mayo? Tomatoes? come on! Secondly they no longer sell Dr. Brown's Cream Soda ( they used to! it's the standard in any Deli in the country). So we ordered a sandwich and and a coke each, and then waited for 20 minutes for our sandwiches (only about 10 people in the restaurant and two ahead of us in line), I mean how long does it take to slice the pastrami and put it between two slices of rye bread and serve it? Which brings me to the most important part. Just about any national baker brand of rye bread that you buy in the grocery store is far better than the @#&$ (Jason's own special brand) that they served us. When my wife asked if they had recently changed the bread he looked bored and replied " I don't know, probably". Translation: I don't care and I don't really want to hear about it. The bread tasted like stale whole wheat, the staff is terribly in need of training, and they are not really interested in the opinions of their customers. I bet I can find a better sandwich at the next deli in Greenville that we go to. This is also a good reason to seek out a small local business who works hard to attract and hold every single one of it's customers. Jason's! Another callous uncaring chain shows it true colors!

Ordered ham and Swiss cheese on toast. First came untoasted and then came with no Swiss cheese. My wife's panini was cold the cheese didn't even melt. After all the issues no one apologized or came back by to see how we were doing. We didn't eat our food and we will not be going back.

3.5 stars Another chain place, but for the area, pretty good selection of sandwiches and salads. Plus they give you free muffins and ice cream (soft serve). I didn't go here all that often, but if you're looking for a sandwich and you're in the mall area, check it out. It ain't that bad.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon when they were busy, but they had enough registers running that the line moved at a decent speed. Since it was our first time, the manager brought out our food and gave us an extra side item because the service was a little slow. Jason's has a large menu with great complimentary bread and complimentary ice cream--which one elderly patron told me was "the best soft-serve in Greenville and on the level of Chick-fil-a's Ice Dream." The salad bar looks great, too. For comparison's sake, I'd say it's a heavier, family version of the Panera Bread restaurant. We will definitely be back.

I ate a peanut butter & jelly sandwich about an hour and a half before arriving at Jason's Deli. I wasn't planning to eat but I went along to hang out with my buddies. At 9:15pm, it wasn't busy. My friends ordered and I kind of wandered around, looking at the menu, scoping out the "organic" salad bar. In general, it was an okay salad bar, however, compared with most salad bars (with the exception of Whole Foods), it was well-stocked. That's not exactly saying much. There was a lettuce mix (no iceberg, thank goodness!), with a bunch of other sub-salads like potato salad and 3 bean salad, and standard vegetables like tomatoes. Nothing screamed "eat me!" But the menu and place was appealing and when I learned my friend R was ordering pastrami (yum!), I decided to give in and order food. Now came the difficult part. Which sandwich to get? I opted for the manager's special: half a sandwich and a cup of soup. I picked seafood gumbo and .... couldn't make up my mind on the sandwich. The employee at the register was really nice and offered to help me decide by asking what my preferences were as far as sandwich fillings. I finally opted for the Beefeater Po'boy, not because I don't like veggies but because it seemed like a classic sandwich ... which are difficult to mess up. We got our drinks and sat down in a booth. The atmosphere was nice ... not brightly lit but also not too dark. It was pleasant and comfortable especially since our meals were $7 and not $15-28 like TGIFridays. The food was brought out shortly and the presentation was great. The sandwiched arrived on a plate (not in wrappers and not on a greasy plastic basket). R's sandwich was cut in half and an ample amount of potato chips were in the middle. M also opted for the manager's special and requested fruit instead of chips to accompany her sandwich. The fruit (strawberries and I think melon) were delicious. The berries were very fresh and not mushy at all. Overall, my food was ok. The gumbo came with several large pieces of shrimp (whole and not chopped), okra pieces and a bit of rice. Unfortunately, it was only lukewarm. =( The overall flavour was strong and rather salty but mostly just salty. It lacked an arrangement of flavours. The consistency was thick, which is good for gumbo. I tried M's tomato basil soup and it was slightly warmer but delightful! The spices were spot-on and it was very pleasant. My sandwich, the Beefeat Po'Boy was roast beef with melted provolone cheese on french bread and came with au jus and ridged potato chips. I appreciated that they used real provolone and that the meat was of high quality (not gristly or chunky or like potted meat) with good texture. The au jus was ok. I liked that it wasn't overly salty, but it could have used a dash of salt. I tasted a hint of beef bouillon. Overall, it was "underwhelming." The chips were also just ok. It seemed like they came from a bag that had sat open all day. In addition to their sandwiches, my friends ordered one of the monster baked potatoes, the spud au broc. This tator came with broccoli cheese soup, fresh broccoli, cheddar, green onions and bacon ... remind me never to order the broccoli cheese soup. Two tastes of the spud and I wanted to gag. The soup was nasty on it. Very cloying. And it was only lukewarm. At the end of the meal, I decided to try some of the soft-serve ice cream and added a bit of chocolate syrup. The soft-serve was good but the syrup even better. Real chocolate with pure sugar. No high fructose corn syrup. For which I applaud Jason's Deli in their battle against high fructose corn syrup. The quality of the food ingredients and the final presentation is very good for the price. Would I eat here again? Yes.

I have yet to have a bad experience at Jason's Deli. From the salad bar, to the light sandwiches, to the managers specials...everything I have eaten has been very good at a great price. The restaurant can be a bit noisy and crowded during lunch, but I am okay with that. Plus, it's also nice to get a little free treat like free soft serve after your meal. My personal favorite: The Beefeater

  • Amy C.

What's that...I cant' hear you...Can you say that again? Crap, someone keeps bumping into the back of my seat...damn I just got whacked in the side of the head with a tray...huh? That sums up my lunch experiences at Jason's... What is so special 'bout this place? (Except for poor acoustics and a dreadful arrangement of tables designed for maximum discomfort???) Standard salad bar, average soups, big mediocre sandwiches...all yours for a moderate price... But I guess they throw in the free soft serve and people come running...because everyone loves free stuff? I would rather go to the salad bar at Whole Foods...at least I can hear myself think and won't get whacked in the head by other diners...

  • Timmy C.

The sandwiches here are waaay to big. I got the corned beef rueben and could barely finish one half of it. The sandwich itself was average as was the jumbalaya and pickle. It did look like they had a massive salad bar so if that is your thing then you should definitely give it a try. The restaurant is big and clean. You order at the counter, get your soda, sit down, and then pick up your food when it is ready ala panera bread only not as good.

We stopped in on the way back to the hotel after a good workout at the gym. The first thing I noticed was the variety on the menu; it was overwhelming to a degree because I was starving and didn't have the patience to peruse the many options available to me. I asked for the lightest, leanest sandwich they had, and the lady behind the counter pointed me towards the turkey on rye. It had the nutritional values listed, and when I zeroed in how low it was in fat, cha-ching, I had a winner. Turkey on rye it was. For my side order, I got the home made salsa and blue corn tortilla chips. Got back to the hotel and went to town. My sandwich was great; loaded up with turkey, lettuce, and tomato. It didn't need anything else, it was just right. The home made salsa was pretty darn good, too. I was glad we found this place and will look forward to returning if I ever go to Greenville again.

This was my first Jason's Deli experience.. I went in around 6:30pm (there was a line) and was starving. I was also craving mac & cheese but they only had it in a kids meal so I decided against it. I ended up getting the New Orleans style Vegetarian Muffaletta. They had a quarter-muff and soup deal. I was skeptical at first because I wasn't sure if a quarter of a sandwich was going to fill me up. I was totally wrong! A quarter-muff is probably equivalent to the half-size of their regular sandwiches! The sandwich was served toasted with grilled protobello mushrooms, provolone cheese, organic spinach, tomatoes, red and yellow bell peppers, onions, and an olive mix. I don't particularly care for olives but this sandwich was delicious! I got the french onion soup, which was piping hot goodness. They also have the option of substituting regular chips (which come with the meal) for organic blue corn chips and salsa for an additional $1. This is what I ended up doing. The salsa is homemade and perfectly spicy; I loved it! Next time I want to try "The Big Joe"!

If you are in the mood for a delicious sandwich & soup this is the place!!! I love getting Tomato soup & Grilled cheese here. They also have a great salad bar & free ice cream! My only complaint is that they get ridicously crowded for lunch times & you might have to wait in a long line, but it's worth it!

This restaurant/deli has it all: great sandwiches, potato salad, pasta salad, regular salads, baked potatoes as big as footballs, a variety of soups, a diverse salad bar, and scrumptious desserts. The dining area is large but always crowded at peak times. Try 2:00 PM instead of noon for a lunchtime visit. The staff is busy but is devoted to customer service. They'll make any mistake right.

I travel a lot with work and I have been finding myself in Greenville a lot this year. I was there last week and didn't post this review then, but wanted to do it today. Greenville is a town known for its food so when I found myself there later at night, I looked for an option close to where I was staying. I came here as I have eaten at other Jasons locations in the past and didn't have the best experiences, but this location was really good! I love the salad bar the soup (which I always get) and the free ice cream as well (even though I don't eat much of it). If you are in a pinch with travel, I highly suggest you stop by here and try it out. Its cheap, healthy and they have great service.

  • Tara W.

Horrible customer service experience. I ordered the half wrap / half soup meal and when I arrived back at work to enjoy my lunch, I realized the manager who handed me my order forgot the soup. I called back to the store, in hopes of an apology and the promise to make it right. No. The manager who answered the phone told me that he didn't mess up the order when he handed it to me, that o didn't order soup. Instead of checking with the other supposed manager who took the order, this man continued to argue with me about whether or not I ordered the soup! There was never an apology or the offer to have a fresh order waiting upon my return, only an argument. I will NEVER return to this location. The last time I checked, when you mess up the order, either on the taking or making side, YOU FIX IT. They only get one star because I'm forced to provide one.

I really enjoyed the muffuletta sandwich. If you're like me and don't (didn't) know what a muffuletta is, it's a sandwich with sturdy but light focaccia-type bread covered with sesame seeds, and made with your choice of turkey or ham and salami, with melted cheese and olive tapenade. At Jason's, a 1/4 of a sandwich (which is a nice size) is served with a cup of soup or with fruit for $7.29. Not a bad deal when you consider you could pay up to $10 for lunch at other deli's. They have a nice sized salad bar that is AYCE for $7.99. Some things on the salad bar are made available to all customers, as well as the ice cream for a nice treat at the end of your meal. If you're a first timer, the cashier will give you a yellow number for your table and explain the rules very clearly, which was helpful. They were very busy during the lunch hour, so this place is clearly popular. You walk up to order, but then your food is brought to your table. Dining room is somewhat tight and it can get a bit noisy, but still looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.

Went here today for a business lunch. We thought that going at 11:45am would stave off some of the normal lunch crowd, but there was still a long ordering line despite our efforts. I got the spinach veggie wrap for the first time and was HIGHLY impressed. Its roasted veggies were tasty and the sautéed spinach inside was fresh in appearance and flavor. Their menu has a very wide selection of choices, so there is something there to please anyone. My coworker got the half rueben sandwich and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. He ate it all and quite quickly, might I add - which I'm guessing means it was enjoyable (or perhaps he was just ravenous?)! My only complaint is something that's perhaps hard to remedy: due to the background chatter in a very popular restaurant, the volume level makes it hard at times to hear others in your party.
