My moms steak was fatty, he brought us another one plus more ravioli and 2 free desserts! My sister ordered a drink and it took a while so she cancelled the order and he brought her the sangria for free! Great experience!

We online ordered to go and made specific instructions on one of the pasta dishes. We did not get one of the dishes correct. I called in and the manager sent over the corrected dish plus so extras (we were very close by). The food was great and they actually did go an extra mile to correct their mistake. Thanks!

I had dinner there tonight with my clients. The service was great! I had the crusted trout fillet with broccoli and minestrone soup which had cabbage and a clear base. The food was wonderful.

Awww Yeah! Did you know that if you eat at the dining bar, the cooks usually give you free food? They'll give you samples of their zucchini fritte or pizza.

Great service and great food. Try the veal or chicken trio. Broccoli special also. We were able to get seated fast by asking for an outside table. Very nice.

Carraba's Greenville does a disservice to its franchise name. My Chicken Parmesan was completely dry and void of taste save its faint flavor of burned oil. My sons' pizza and chicken fingers were good but that is hardly what an Italian restaurant aspires. We sat at the bar to see the stove and kitchen to keep the boys happy. The warm stove and flaming wood were the only good points. The kitchen was surprising disorganized and messy to be in public view. Just not what I've loved about Carrabas over the years. I would still visit other locations but don't plan to return to this one.

NOT REALLY WORTH A RETURN TRIP BUT OKAY Although Carrabba's is in Georgia, we have never eaten here. We actually ate here today because our initial choice fell through. I expected them to have a larger menu with great seafood options, but this wasn't the case. If you take away the sandwiches, (which are not an option), there isn't a wide variety. We both ended up ordering pasta dishes. I had the ravioli presented in a tomato cream sauce while my husband had the fettuccine with chicken. We shared a basket of warm bread. Both of our pasta dishes were delicious but not filling. Because I am not familiar with this restaurant, I wasn't thinking about everything being offered a la carte or may be I am just spoiled by my favorite restaurants which are largely Asian. Anyway, our waiter mentioned that the vegetable options were broccoli and asparagus which I tend to eat quite frequently. I would have preferred a dish of sauteed zucchini, greens, cabbage or some other options but apparently the chef has a small repertoire when it comes to veggies. Although I was tempted to order dessert, I (an awesome baker), was not interested in paying $8 for any of their benign desserts. That would be like asking a mechanic to pay $60 for an oil change. Crazy right? Sometimes common sense has to trump appetite. The food, while delicious is not filling but it was nice to finally sample Carrabba's menu. Service was impeccable and the ambiance was a quiet calm which is to be expected just prior to 3pm. Now, on to the next!

Very disappointed! Service was poor at best. Server spilt a drink on us, later forgetting about us, then served the wrong food, followed by later serving the wrong drinks and forgetting about us again by not bringing our entrée. Said he was sorry each time, however the repetition was frustrating. The Shrimp & scallops were fair and minimal and the pasta was cold. Overall, do not recommend this location and will not go again.

.Slightly overpriced but at the same time everything seems very fresh and made as you order it, open kitchen forum can get a little noisy and chaotic, The seating plan was obviously done by the same engineers that make the parking lot lines, trying to cram every square inch into "money making usable space" They recently changed the menu , most of the favorites are still there, Chicken marsala is an excellent go-to selection, incredible flavors and don't forget to order the chocolate dream.......large slice of heaven with two forks..but who said you had to share

Highlight was the caesar salad, as entrees were just average. House red wine a great value. I would try something different next visit instead of chicken.

Carabba's is a place one may not get too excited to eat at. I would say in general the food is similar to Olive Garden but I'd concur it's a notch up. Also the decor of the Carabba's is nicer (OG is a 90's dive). We chose this place out of necessity as it was a long day at work and the place we were staying at was a short walk away! Also a colleague had a hankering for a decent bowl of good pasta! I ordered the Italian salad to start with and then the Speidino di Mare (scallops and shrimp breaded then wood grilled). With this it came with a choice of side so I took the corkscrew pasta that was told to be a bit spicy. The salad was in and light, fresh and decent. My entree was a bit on the lighter portion side but had a nice grilled flavour and the pasta was decent in a somewhat rich sauce! I've eaten here before and it pretty much is the chain experience decent but nothing earth shattering amazing! Portion size is decent (not huge, not small). Service was above average on our visit and courteous and no issues here. If you want Italian food that is a step up from Olive Garden at a reasonable price then this is not a bad choice. I wouldn't argue your Italian grandmother would concur it's a bad experience. She may not think it's authentic but hey it's decent! Experience was on the upper side of good!

I hadn't been to Carrabba's in years, so I figured it was due time to revisit and review. Starting off with drinks, I was disappointed by the beer selection. Yeah, yeah, most would stereotypically say that wine is the way to go with Italian food, but Italy has some really good beers, and I would have like to see some of that in the restaurant. For dinner, I started with the lentil and sausage soup. I was not a fan of this soup. The chunks of sausage had an unappetizing look to them, and the lentils seemed to be overcooked to me. They were cooked to the point of beginning to turn to mush. My entree was fantastic. The prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloins were amazing. The meat was beautifully prepared, and was very tender and flavorful. The port wine fig sauce it was served with added a nice sweet touch to the meats. The sautéed spinach was okay, but I've had better. I had a difficult time deciding between three or four stars, but the only thing I really enjoyed was the tenderloins. Granted, that was the main course and carries the most weight, but I was disappointed by the soup, side dish, and the beer selection. Maybe I can give them another star after my next visit.

The service was good but the lobster ravioli was inedible.

What has happened to one of the better feel good classic restaurants?! I used to love this italian chain restaurant - many memories of great meals, conversation, and evenings. I have had 3 terrible experiences of late and I am done throwing my money away trying to relive the good ole days. The latest bad experience consisted of dry old bread, salmon small, dry, and grossly over cooked, the crab cake was not recognizable as crab, and lastly, the Marsala filet was not a filet but a gristle laden sirloin masquerading as a tenderloin cut of meat. Mind you... The price of this meal has only increased along with the decline of quality. Not only do u leave hungry but a little depressed and feeling cheated.

Iama Critic Rating - Carraba's Italian Grill - 3 Stars 1022-a Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC Overall: I deducted one star for the entrees being a bit too skimpy for the price! The stiff prices can hamper your enjoyment? $10.00 Calamari - 4 Stars It came with a large bowl of marinara sauce that was quite tasty, as was the meager serving of calamari, which was light and crispy with a lemon pepper pop. It is very rare to be served the head and tentacle portion of squid, it might be a turn off for some dinners, I however will eat anything and was delighted to see the different textures. Side Item - Spicy Sausage Soup - 3 Stars Unfortunately Carraba's doesn't give a hoot about presentation! My soup was a sloppy mess. I mean what real chef or server for that matter would serve a bowl of soup like this? (See my pictures) I deducted 5% off my tip just for my server not caring about how my food looked. The soup however was good, although my guest's bowl had much more of the goodies and sausage it in. Side Item - Table Bread - 5 Stars Carraba's table bread is some of the best table bread ever, period! It is not slathered with butter, it is served piping hot with a small plate of olive oil with tons of spices! It does not disintegrate like those terrible yeast rolls everyone loves to serve! And it is crusty and chewy at the same time, and more is free! In a word this bread is perfect and earns a rare 5 stars! $18.50 Veal Marsala - 3 Stars For this price I can get all you can eat four star baby back ribs so this entree has some shoes to fill. The flavor was great and I enjoyed this entree, but two things constantly filled my mind as I ate this very expensive entrees, the cost and where the heck is the rest of the food. Carraba's simply skimps too much! $16.50 Salmon - 4 Stars Served on a bed or orzo with roasted veggies for a steep price of $16.50! For this price this meager entree had better be great. I had my reservations about this dish when it arrived in what looks like burnt parchment paper, but the entree turn out to be very good but hard to eat. You will no doubt eat at least some of the cartoccio, but that is ok because it is actually pretty good! While this is not by any means the smallest piece of salmon I have ever received, it is small for $16.50! Thankfully this entree was incredibly tasty with spices and variable flavors in every bite. It is difficult to eat as you try to avoid eating the parchment paper it is served on. Side Item - Spicy Mashed Potatoes - 4 Stars Carraba's Spicy Mashed Potatoes were fabulous, especially with the bits of bacon and cheese! Creamy and tasty, what more could you want?

Maybe it was an off day, but, my lasagna was so overcooked it was mush. The appetizer was good. (Antipasto) my son's spaghetti was good.

I've been here many times. I like this place, the food is good & the service is usually great. I recommend the Shrimp Diavolo (essentially fried shrimp marinated in butter & various peppers). For your entrée I recommend the Fettuccine Weesie, Shrimp Alfredo carrabba's style. Their Arnold Palmers are great as well!

Gluten Free NO THEY ARE NOT!!! Managers do not train servers. I received a gluten-free menu which I placed an order and it was chicken and spinach and the spinach I was surprised didn't taste very garlicky. The white flex I thought should've been hard and garlic were soft. I then became curious and then started looking at what I was eating and realized they were Noodles. The manager then explained they use the water from the noodles to steam their spinach. I should've received a sautéed spinach. His staff did not know the difference and he was to blame. Very little worry or cause to apologize. It was very weak. I explained I could be sick for weeks and he still showed very weak concern. I had not been to Carrabbas in Greenville South Carolina for a year and a half or more because they used to give me the soup with small portions of noodles in there. Their ladle was very close to the soup and employees would use the same one to scoop out the noodles and scoop the soup. It repeatedly happened and I chose not to go there any longer even after they assured me it would be okay the next visit and they would work harder to have it not happen again. Do not eat here if you are a celiac

I came here recently with a friend on a Saturday night. We called ahead and they said it would be about a 30 minute wait but they would put our name down. After a 20 minute drive there, they said it would still be a 30 minute wait. A little disappointed, we hovered by the bar and were able to get two seats there in no time. The bartender was so charistmatic and helpful and definitely made up for us not getting a table. I'm a big fan of olive oil and herbs with fresh bread so I was elated to see they had both. My scallops were exceptional, my fettucine alfredo was pleasing, and I like that they have a glass and a half of wine option. No room for dessert this time around, but I will be back!

I love Carrabba's. It's way better than Olive Garden! Bummed because they took my favorite thing off the menu, the rigatoni martino (no mushrooms). Also like the chicken Bryan and the lobster Mac

First time here. Atmosphere was great. My wife had the sirloin Marsala which was cooked to perfection. I had the lobster ravioli which was excellent. So if you're in Greenville, SC and you want GOOD Italian food, pass on the Olive Garden and come here. You won't be disappointed.

The thing I like best about Carrabba's is their menu being dissimilar to other Italian chain restaurants. The fresh bread with oil and herbs is a good starting touch and I find the flavors of their tomato based menu items to be distinctive in a subtle way - not at all overpowering but engaging. And the staff has more of an Italian style. I've found a few seafood based selections that are to my liking.

This review is for my last two visits to Carrabbas on Woodruff Road in Greenville. The first visit I thought perhaps I caught them on a bad day with BAD SERVICE, but it happened again on this visit , so in this diner's humble opinion SERVICE is seriously GOING DOWNHILL FAST. I notified Carrabba's website in both instances and Management never responded. This past Sat we went to Carrabbas for a Birthday celebration. A young hostess sat us in the middle of the restaurant at a table where there were 2 lights overhead that were constantly flickering getting ready to burn out. We could not even read the menu's. As we struggled , I looked over at the hostess station and the young lady and another older hostess were looking at us laughing as we tried to see the source of the flickering lights. When I asked the young hostess to please move us to another table, she said she knew about the flashing/malfunctioning lights, but seemed annoyed that I wanted to move. It wasnt that busy , and there were plenty of empty tables. She suggested we stay at the table, and she could call someone over to change out the lights above the table if this is what we wanted???? What in the World? At this time I looked back and the older hostess was talking to my friend at the table, and thank goodness she lead us to an open booth. We sat there for at least 10 minutes before our waiter came over. No water, no bread, no BE RIGHT WITH YOu. We thought we had been forgotten. Finally the waiter showed up and apologized for making us wait, and that was nice, but then we got WORSE service after this. He forgot an item we had ordered .. we reminded him and he went to get it, and then after he brought the soup to us, he ignored us the rest of the time we were there, until the end when he brought the check. We had wanted more bread for our soups, and some grated cheese in the soup, but he did not come back by our table until we had finished eating. I mean at least 20 minutes went by before he finally showed us any attention. We tried to make the best out of the situation because it was a birthday celebration, but we all decided that due to bad service, and lack of management responding , we will not be going back. Too bad.

Of all the national Italian chains I really enjoy Carrabba's. Service is always good, food is consistent and well prepared. Could use a better wine list tho. Sure you can find better Italian fare, but when traveling you can always count on Carrabba's.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
