High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. While Christmas shopping next door at Pier 1 Imports, we decided, hey, we know that Applebees is at the bottom of our list, but, why not give it another try, after years of staying away. Well, the bottom line is, we both strongly feel that our meals were absolutely the worst food we have ever had at a chain restaurant. Mine sounded good, but was greasy and to be honest, disgusting. On the other hand, the server was quick and attentive. Good thing I had a large Blue Moon to cut through the nasty taste of the chicken entree. Never again.

sun july 1st 9pm......ordered cheese stick appetizers and they were fast, came back in like 2 minutes, they were luke warm, ordered steak baked potato and ceaser salad, never got the salad so we asked for it when the food came back, well we all know you get the salad way before the entree finally get the salad after the entree and the steak was supposed to be well done it was pink on the inside , we were told exactly what came on the potato and said yes thats fine, well 2 of the 4 things on it were loaded as they call it and were 65 cents each extra charge we werent told about till we got the bill manager gave us half off and when we got the bill it came out to be way less than that, by doing some simple math we discovered that it shouldve been 14 dollars total not 18, so we pointed this out and the manager made it a 16 dollar bill so i saif to hell with it paid and left il never go back because it all starts with management, if you dont hire and train peopel right you are going to lose money and they definitely dont train their employees right, our server was going back and forth takin to go orders outside and she spent most of the night away from our table, very bad experience here

Horrible service - over cooked steak twice, manager then asked if we wanted any thing to go. Ended up just getting wings and left. Will never return. Plus I could see the cook staff and the man had his long hair loose. just a horrible experience

A few weeks ago me and my party that were in town for a local convention and chose to stop at this sight to take advantage of the 2 for deals $20 deals but the service that received did not warrant the time or the frustration experienced by our group in the time that followed. After being seated and the waitress took down our drink orders, she arrived with drinks in hand within 15 mins. However, in the time that followed after ordering the appetizers and entrees...the time span of her absences became noticeably longer and before long 40 minutes had passed with no sign of the food. After, we just changed it to a to-go order, the appetizers then arrived, however, there was no sign of the entrees after waiting an additional 40 minutes. The food finally arrived...and with it some relief was garnered. They attempted to rectify the situation by providing a refund but that would taken additional time that we could spare. It seemed as if our waiter had to cook the food herself considering the amount of time she was gone and her errors in regards to the receipts. On one of my party members tickets she had continually added and taken off the complete amount of her meal, which she tracked by real-time updates through her phone from her bank. I would hope that an establishment would administer proper training of staff but nonetheless I merely hope that no one has to experience the same tedious service I incurred that day.

So... tonight I took my family to Applebee's for dinner. None of us had eaten there in at least three years so we decided to give it a try. The wait according to the hostess was 15-20 min. Wrong!! She really underestimated the wait by 20 minutes-they were really busy. Not a big deal. The service: Megan was our server and she did a decent job. She took care of our needs and brought everything we asked. What would have made it great if she had smiled. We left a 16% tip. The food: one of the bar beverages arrived in a dirty glass and the drinks were not good. My order came out wrong and with the most horrible looking lettuce ever. The manager came to the table to check on us after that. My son's ribs were okay but not meaty. When my dish did arrive it was pretty good and hot. It was not a $52 experience. Not sure if or when I will return.

Staff was nice and beer was cold but that's about it. Food was not good at all. I had the ribs and they were dry. Sauce was ok but no flavor in the meat. The fries tasted like reheated, refrigerated leftovers. I have only Been to a few Applebee's in my time, but I remember the food being tasty. Must be a bad cook back there.

Went on a Sunday 12:45 pm, waitress was friendly and nice. The food was OK but waiting for the food to come out was slow and the restaurant wasn't busy. Ordered the American BLT and French fries. Then I ordered a milkshake for dessert and that took another 30 minutes to get. Ok place to eat if you want to wait and be at the restaurant for over two hours.

My son and I ate there today and it was fabulous as always!! Our server was named Tammy and she was great !!! We always order our food different than on the menu and it was correct and cooked to perfection. Tammy was very attentive, caring, and right on top of things as she was with all of her customers. That Applebee's is my favorite one because they seat you fast , food is always right and cooked right. Very friendly service Tammy is a great server and should be recognized as so. We will sit in her section every time. Great meal with my 18 year old son and the atmosphere was great along with the good and service.

The waitress was decent, which was a refreshing change to this type of restaurant. But if she was good, the food was absolutely horrible. For those that know me, I hate Applebee's. Their new offering was supposed to be a type of honey spice sauce. There was no spice, just honey. It wasn't a natural honey either, way too sweet. There was nothing to cut the sweetness either. Overall, not impressed at all. Then again, I expected nothing more. Only reason I went was a gift card. In general, don't bother. There is much better food out there.
