Yummy pizzas have a tasty base and they are not tightwads with the toppings. I had the supreme and was not disappointed. I also ordered a beef lasagne to share and I gotta say it was disappointing. Clearly chef Mike (microwave) was having a bad day. Full of hot and cold spots! So if you stick to the pizzas and enjoy a nice beer in friendly downtown surroundings then this is a good cheap place to start the evening.

I love Bertolo's! It is the best pizza I've had in South Carolina. They also sell huuuge pizzas for a group of people.

Having lived in New York a few years now, I know a thing or three about good pizza. One new thing I now know .... downtown Greenville has some great pizza! I ordered a 12 inch supreme just as lunch was beginning to be served. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The pie was delivered to my table in s timely manner. The crust was freshly made and delicious. It was well cooked, but thick enough to stay soft. The sauce was just right, excellently flavored and perfectly spread. The ingredients were all fresh and quite tasty. The cheese on top was abundant. I only finished half, which is great because I have another meal for later. The price was right as well, $13 for what will easily be two delicious meals. I'm going to be here a few more days ... I bet I come back and try some pasta!

Amazing fettuccine Alfredo, no joke!!! I was shocked at how awesome it was, I added chicken and it was fresh! I'm leery about chicken at restaurants, usually it's frozen, poorly trimmed with fat or gristle. The chicken was fresh, thinly sliced with awesome flavor. I can't wait to go back for the fettuccine, it's more than enough for two, but once you have a bite, you might not want to share. I got a to go order while traveling, made my night!!! Places close early in Greenville and I didn't have a lot of options that served pasta after 9 pm on a Thuesday. This was my last stop that was still open. They were great, prices were very surprisingly well set, great staff and awesome meal! This place is unassuming but a hidden gem!

Been such a slacker with reviews recently. Maybe too much eating at home. In Greenville for a couple of days. Wanted to try the downtown area for something casual. Opted for Bertolo's because pizza sounded good. Nice enough place inside, great menu, friendly service. Wish I could say the same about the food. My Caesar Salad was actually a dressing salad, with some Romaine Lettuce carefully mixed in. Not very good that way. Pizza was actually pretty, but onions were very, very heavy on our customized pizza, while meats weren't as liberally shared. Still, a really good crust. Plus pizza was tasty other than all those onions. I would try it again on a future date. But it appears Greenville has much more to offer than this place.

Excellent pizza with great mozzarella cheese, the 16" pizza was plenty for 2 adults and 2 children. Would definitely come again when I'm back in town.

I am reviewing the pizza and pasta. Do you only have 10 minutes for lunch? Do you not care about service? Are you will to consume half your meal in grease? Bertolo's is the place for your!

If I said 'eh, would that be enough? I gave this place three stars because the staff is really friendly but the Pizza was ok at best. Nothing to complain about but it may be the least exciting pizza I have had in Greenville.

Worst service I've probably ever gotten somewhere. And the staff was probably the most unprofessional staff I've ever encountered. Waitress took our beer order only to find out she can't take an alcohol order from the tables. Had to go get my beer from the bar then had my card run the at the bar only to be told I had to have two different checks between the food and the bar even though they are on the same system/same restaurant. The bartender verbally berated the waitress in front of me, and I talked to the manager and he was unapologetic, giving some excuse about how licensing is still in the works. The waitress came back to our table and began to complain to all of us about the terrible bartender. I went back in to order our dinner and the bartender had gotten upset, grabbed her coat and took off. Had to get my card from the bar from the manager, ordered pizzas and wings, and pizza came with no wings. Went back in to say cancel the wings, and take them off my card, and got attitude about doing so. Unreal. This place has decent pizza, but it won't last a month with the personnel disaster that they call a staff running it.

This place has the worst management and staff I've seen in awhile. Pizza is ok, but will never go back or recommend...a staff member was cussed at in front of customers by management. Unbelievable. Stay clear.

Very delicious pizza! Relaxed atmosphere, ambient lighting, low key. Ordered at counter and sat down with table number and pizza was out shortly. Had a little one with us and everyone was very friendly and accommodating of him and helpful. Highly recommend for a reasonably priced, delicious pizza!

There is nothing TOO spectacular about their food but it is good for a fast italian meal. The portions are a good size and it's always served hot and fast. The people are friendly and it's a nice atmosphere for a quiet night out or for families. We also enjoy their bar options as opposed to what you can purchase out in the street during Main Street Fridays.

I bought the lunch special- two slices and drink for $7 one day. It was so good that I had to get back for another dose the following week. It's basic, beautiful pizza and served up quick for a weekday lunch. I need to get back and try something a little more interesting.

Stopped by for a quick lunch one Saturday & ordered a 12 inch half & half - meat supreme & buffalo chicken. The chicken was surprisingly good. If you're after fresh, good pizza then you can't go wrong here.

This is our new favorite pizza place in Greenville! We order pepperoni and bacon with light sauce and it is delicious! The only bad thing about this place is trying to find parking on the main drag of the city. It has keep us from eating here before :-(

I recently visited friends in Greenville S.C. and went to this pizza parlor. This was the best pizza I think I have EVER had! The dining room was clean, the service was great and friendly and the food was to die for. This is pizza heaven!

You've heard of the Breakfast Club right? Well there's something called the pizza window club. I guess I feel like you're not living life right unless you've had late night window pizza at Bertolo's. After they shut the restaurant down they keep the window open for those with a late night appetite. You may not know everyone in line but when you're there you feel like you've all migrated from the same place with one common purpose in mind: greasy, piping hot, fresh, delicious pizza. Oh, and to keep the night going. Not to sound like Dr. Seuss but this pizza is good by day, good by night, good for play, good in the cab, good on the sidwalk. Ok that didn't rhyme but you get the point. To be honest, I don't know much about the rest of their menu but I have actually eaten on the inside of the restaurant. They have a lunch special that I think comes with two slices of pizza and a drink for 5 bucks. I haven't had anything other than the pizza but I was there with someone once who got ravioli. I love ravioli but honestly I thought that was a weird thing for her to do. One important thing for me to say is Bertolos is such a great option for when you're not trying to go out and make dinner a big production downtown. You may have to wait in line for a few minutes to place your order but it won't be long. You know you'll get good, classic food fast and there's a bar. Great place to start and end your night.

Fast and friendly service. Pizza was good. Not the best but certainly not the worst. I didn't know Hawaiian pizza's had onion and green pepper on it. That's completely new to me. Should be just ham and pineapple. Still good though

We were served beer by a lady who was cleaning and still had her gloves on. Just prior to serving our beer she was picking up trash. I know I might be a germ-aphob, but come on! The pizza was decent, so we tried take out..they got our order wrong. In our opinion Titos is much better for customer service and food

Ok. So we go to try this pizza place in Greenville . Supreme pizza was good and so was pepperoni. Not like a crisp NY crust, but not dominos or papa johns garbage. Totally acceptable. Meatball and cheese sub on chiabbata roll was good. Would have been better in a good hunk of Italian bread, but tastes good. Staff was nice and the food came out quick.

Worst.service.in .Greenville.ever. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to Vic's. Bertolo's is a total disaster. Poor service, understaffed, complacent workers, overpriced. There is never a manager anywhere to be seen and it's like they just threw five teenagers into a pizza shop and told them to sell pizza. I've ordered food there three times (hoping the first two times were an anomaly). They got my order wrong all three times and the last time they were rude to my wife on the phone. We are done.

Lunch Special: 1 slice and 1 salad. The salad was just lettuce and a few slivers of carrots plus a small tomato. The pizza was a cold slab of cheese thrown in the oven for 5 minutes. Worth $5.00 not $7.50. Mellow Mushroom is a much better lunch choice.

Perhaps the best pizza you can get in the great state of South Carolina...or at least the best in Greenville. Just damn good pizza. Convenient downtown location is an added plus. The service isn't very good...getting a drink refill takes an act of congress, but the pizza is why you go and it's why we continue to return.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Didn't feel like pizza, so we both had cheese steak subs. We had the choice of white, wheat, or ciabatta, and sides of chips or pasta salad. I had the pasta salad, which was very good - not swimming in Italian dressing like so many places serve. My wife had upgraded to fries, which came out slowly, but were perfectly prepared. This is one of those places where you order at the counter, and they bring your food out. There were a handful of teenage taking orders, delivering food, and clearing tables, so the service was more than adequate. The pizza looked good, so we will return sometime to give that a try.

Good food. Very disappointing service. Teens running the place, no leadership present. Ordered salad bar, no lettuce on bar, stood and waited at bar for 15 minutes while everyone walked by ignoring me. My kids ordered Sprite, which was just soda water. When I tried to get a new drink, and suggested another brand, they insisted on fixing the Sprite. The drinks never made it to the table. My water was never refilled, I could go on. Will not return.

Great place all around. Good downtown location. Staff is friendly & genuine. The place is clean. It has the feel of a small eating place where you can meet with some friends to shoot the breeze & enjoy good food & company. Be not mistaken, you will not be finding some nouveau flat bread pizza with sushi at this place which is fine by me. Good old fashioned pizza, hot subs, & Italian dishes are the house fare. I the red sauce would make any Brooklyner proud. The portions are generous. Grab a pal for a slice & a beer.
