Radd Dew's moved 1/15 no longer on RT 701 in Conway. They are on Enoch Rd. at Horry Rd. which is between RT 501 and Rt 319. About 4 miles south of Aynor. They have a buffet which is very very good. Lots of local Southern dishes to choose from. The collards and Bar-b-que was delicious.

Radd Dews is a local favorite for decades. Apparently I stood out (not being a regular ), but I was treated very kindly, like I was a welcome family member. The restaurant is set up buffet style and take out is an option. I took a taste of nearly everything on the buffet and sat at huge table with my sweet tea. I must confess, never in my life have I ever cleared my plate. Today was the first, the pulled pork was seasoned in Carolina barbecue sauce, oh, it was so good, I feel like going back for seconds right now. The chicken bog was not overly smoked, like I've had elsewhere. There was also deep fried pork cutlets, which was delicate tasting and not greasy. The Mac and cheese and the string beans were good I just can't remember all I ate, but I nearly ate myself into a food coma. The sweet tea was delicious. The dessert buffet had jello, banana pudding, chocolate pudding pie, devilled eggs (I think), and more. I could not take more than a teaspoon of the puddings and I thought I heard the wooden chair creak, like it were going to crash beneath me. It was then time for me to leave. Tip: If you are going there during the week, just call for their hours, as they are not open for dinner every night. Also, wear stretch pants and enjoy!!!!

Really disappointed with the place. I went on a Sunday afternoon, so the selection might have not been as great as it is on weekdays or weeknights. It should be consistent throughout the week, so who knows. The BBQ is plain and you add the vinegar base at the table, and oh my gosh, it's delicious. Other than that, the buffet really doesn't have much and the other meats didn't taste very good at all... You could taste the fat in them... Like if you had boiled meat and let the fat sit on the top. The macaroni & cheese and the chocolate dessert were good.

It's a country barbecue buffet. There really isn't much more that needs to be said. After reading other reviewers complain about no "high quality" entrees, however, perhaps a more specific review is indeed called for. As far as high quality goes, it depends on what you're looking for in your barbecue buffet. Are you looking for real country cooking? Check. Do you enjoy carefree, casual dining? Check. Do you enjoy Southern culture? Check. Are your tastebuds craving real South Carolina style barbecue? Check. If you are too high falootin' to clean your own table or eat off styrofoam plates, stay in Myrtle Beach and eat crappy barbecue.

Decent BBQ. Country sides. They had a vinegar chopped pork, a mustard based pulled pork and a tomato based pulled pork. The tomato based pork seemed to be my favorite because it was sweeter. The mustard based came in a close second. All of the pork was moist. The lima beans were great. Friced chicken was decent. Ribs were decent, what really make thia place stand out is the liver hash (or liver gravy). Its rare to find liver hash in this state. Some of the food did not seem too fresh, like the sausage, which was dried out and cold and the rice, which also seemed dried out. Everything did seem well seasoned. The employees were all very nice.

The drive from Myrtle Beach to Conway is an unpleasant one. Traffic flows poorly and lost visitors tie up lanes. Little did I know as I snailed behind an RV from Texas that I was travelling back in time. I drove out of Conway on Fourth Street until it got rural and the GPS said I had arrived at Radd Dew's. But it was an empty field. Foiled again by the poor street names in the area. I decided to just drive a bit more and did find Radd Dew's soon. Once in the door I was back in 1940 rural South Carolina. Knotty pine, linoleum and bare table tops met my eye. As they did in the 40s the men were dressed in jeans and flannel shirts. Women broke the illusion of times past as they were dressed like men as women never would in the 1940s but always do in the 2000s. The buffet line consisted of food that looked and tasted as it has for decades. Barbecue with vinegar or tomato, red rice, white rice with liver gravy, green beans, macaroni and cheese, hush puppies, fried chicken, banana pudding, and a cooler of sweet tea awaited at the tables. One large family sat bowing their heads while Big Daddy stood thanking the Lord for the food. Several state troopers in mirror glasses and jodhpur type pants sat together. I have eaten this very food in other southern states and at soul food restaurants in the North. It is the food that appears at every celebration and at every holiday where Southerners dine. Radd Dew's has some low country specialties like chicken bog. Local people have eaten this food at these tables for decades. It has not changed at all. Come to Radd Dew's if you want to share local low country dining as it has always been.

Very friendly people, and pretty clean. However it is a buffet and you pretty much get what you expect from buffet. No atmosphere, no high quality entrees, but if you want lots of food that's just ok, this is the place for you. $11 included all you care to eat, soft drink or tea & tax. Clean your own table, fix your own plate. Not what I look for but a locals' choice for many years.

My best tip is to be very hungry with lots of room on your tummy for good BBQ food. This is the best on the East and West coasts. I highly recommend the dinner buffet but lunch is excellent as well.

I am a local and have lived here many years, hell I grew up here. My wife, little girl and I decided to finally try (because of the drive) it. The woman at the register at the time, was somewhat friendly, the food on the other hand. Now I LOVE my Bar-b-que and at any time you can see the family at all the bar-b-que competitions and this place was OVER salty, not only the bar-b-que but the OVER cheesed mac n cheese, the greens, and just about anything else. I would not recommend the drive, there are plenty other places with far better que. I think even Ryan's or Golden Corral would better suit not only your need for a buffet but far better quality.

For most people, barbecue is a way of cooking, but some barbecue is a way of life, a culture. For those who believe that BBQ is a culture, it is easy to see why Radd Dew's BBQ in Conway is one of the top restaurants in the state. For more than 25 years, residents of Horry County have been visiting this great establishment. Open on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 9, Radd Dew's BBQ is a buffet all-you-can-eat style restaurant serving some of the finest fixin's the South has ever seen. Hash, slaw, beans, rice, hush-puppies, fat back and the mouth-watering chicken bog are just a few of the tasty vittles that adorn the buffet. The pork-based BBQ is top notch. Whether you prefer a light pepper vinegar barbecue, a hearty tomato vinegar barbecue or even pork ribs, Radd Dew's BBQ has something for everyone. Everyone knows that to be a great barbecue restaurant you have to have good banana pudding and sweet tea. Well, Radd Dew's has both. For the true southern fan, you can even find chitterlings on Thursday night during the colder months! Part of what separates a good barbecue restaurant from a great barbecue restaurant is the people. Jim Dew has done a great job of carrying on the family tradition and the southern charm that his father Radd has instilled in the restaurant. Locals have taken to this charm and have made it a staple for family dining. It is a great place to go and see all your neighbors and catch up on all the hustle and bustle of the week. Original tools from the farm and family memorabilia adorn the walls and reinforces the southern charm. Once one enters the doors of Radd Dew's, one knows that this is an authentic, old, country-style BBQ restaurant! Take all of this, put it together and one can see why Radd Dew's BBQ is a way of life -- A BBQ Culture Icon!

Had early lunch today. If you have not been here, you are missing out in one of the best place's for BBQ and home cooked southern food. Make it a point to get here as soon as you can. Not only is the food great, but the staff treat you like family.

Do not go here! The place is closed. I drove over an hour to eat here based on recent reviews and the fact I ate here years ago and it was great. The place is vacant and looks like it has been for a long time.

This place has extremely good BBQ and just the friendliest people in business. Their buffet has something for everyone including three styles of BBQ and dessert. He catered my wedding almost fifteen years ago and the food is still awesome. ( definitely try the chicken bog)

Just had dinner there. All I can is "my goodness"! Everything there (and trust me, I tried everything) was awesome! Small place but, that made everything great. Most times a large buffet tends to get some stuff wrong. Would do this place every day of the week! I know and love bbq. Even my father in law who hates bbq ate plate after plate loved it. And the proce made it just that much better. Wow!!!!!
