So it's taken me almost seven years after moving down here to finally eat at a Lizards Thicket (not counting the mishap I had at another location a few years ago). A friend and me came to this locatin for dinner (around 7:00) and it was not all that busy for dinner. It's seat yourself (unless you are going through the drive through or counter service if you're doing carry out). Got waited on pretty quickly and our food came out like 5 minutes after ordering. Prices are reasonable - I got the meat and 2 sides for 6 or 7 dollars and my bill came to under $10 (including drink and tax but no tip). Great southern comfort food at its best (and cheap). I would definitely go back. Location wise, this location is pretty close to the interstate (unlike some of the other locations I know of around town).

Ordered country fried steak and it came cold. They offered to warm it up obviously I wanted a new one. Much better the second go. Fresh and crisp vs the cold and dry crap they gave me the first time.

Food was fine - our meats were dry, but sides the were all pretty good. Service was fine as well; however, we didn't get checked on very much and our waitress brought us our check before we could even consider ordering dessert. This place was good but nothing special. Maybe other locations are better?

Down home southern cooking well prepared. Like Momma used to make. Best peach cobbler in creation. Servers are very friendly and helpful. Going back for breakfast.

Dont go here, drive an extra mile to the one on Elmwood. the service at this one (broad river rd) is so poor that to ensure service you either have to be very patient, a friend of the exact server you might get, or sit at the bar. The biscuits are usually hard and stale or gooey and undercooked. They also have no clue how to cook turkey sausage or how to portion grits properly (barely two tablespoons last visit and cold turkey sausage). Only eat here if you've got a lot of time/patience and the other LT is closed.
