I have visited The Wine Factory every year since 2010, when in town for the Cheraw Jazz Festival which features some of the South's best Jazz musicians and honors native son Dizzy Gillespie. The hospitality, ambiance, food and LIVE music are unmatched. I love visiting The Wine Factory and the town of Cheraw - so much so that after my very first visit Joyce and her family began treating me like a member of the family. I promise you, you'll have a good time at The Wine Factory. Stop by and tell Joyce I sent you, and while there check out her assortment of wines and catering menu options. This is a wonderful location to host a birthday, anniversary, celebration, private party, reception, family reunion, bachelor(ette) party or Girl's / Guy's night on the town. Can't wait to visit & dine here again!

Best. Ribs. Ever. And a caramel pecan pie cheesecake to die for. My 10 year old son said that it was truly finger licking good. What a gem!!
Southern Charm. Lovely family owned restaurant with delicious food. Ribs were perfect. You must leave room for dessert. Hard to choose from the delicious array of cakes and pies. People from all over drive to have dinner at this western mennonite family fun restaurant. At the end of the evening the servers sing hymns. Absolutely lovely. *Quilts are hung from ceiling and walls are all for sale. I wish I had picked one up for home
Great food and WONDERFUL desserts. Definitely worth the drive!

The food was great, so was the waitress. Very reasonable priced, very much enjoyed my dinner here!!!
Decided to eat here after hearing some locals say how good the Mexican food was. Coming from Southern New Mexico I find myself being disappointed when I leave the border area. First night I came here and ordered the steak ranchero. It was pretty bad. Steak was tuff and to me would rather see flank steak or even a better quality round steak over what they served. Not wanting to give up I decided to return. This time I figured I would order something they probably served more of. I got the supreme burrito dinner. It was much better. OK flavor and food sized portion. Advise is order the standard mexican foods (stuff that would be on taco bell menu). Final note they do not serve menudo. :(
Fiesta Tapatia found itself perfectly situated for our road trip lunch stop, and we're glad we stopped there. The service was speedy and friendly, the food was tasty and we left feeling good that we had supported a local establishment (instead of the usual greasy fast food that so often permeates road trips). We'd definitely stop here the next time we drive through.

Ok so we've been here twice at dinner time. Both times we have waited 25 minutes for the salads to come out. Then before you finish your salad, the entree is served. The timing is just poor and servers are scarce. As for the food, it's ok compared to the homemade German cuisine I was used to back in PA Dutch country. The potato salad is light on vinegar and heavy on pickles. The schnitzel is decent but if you get the chicken, be sure to ask for a sauce because it doesn't come with one. The jäger sauce is a good choice. There no other German restaurant in the south near me so I suppose next time I'm craving German, I'll come back. But I'll request carry out instead.
This place provided one of the most enjoyable evenings my wife and I have had in recent years. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, excellent staff and we enjoyed meeting several people from the owner to the staff in the kitchen. One would do well to not miss this spot whenever you are close to Cheraw. Hell, it's worth the drive off 95 or wherever to get to here. They are open until 10 and I highly recommend the jagersneitzel !!!
I couldn't say enough to give this place justice. Oscar's is hands down my favorite restaurant in the south.

Our waiter was friendly and very efficient. Forget the fatz muffins, they were like rubber. BUT everything else was great. I had the fish sandwich and substituted a salad for the fries. The salad was very fresh and we loved the raspberry dressing. My husband had the sampler platter with sweet potato and salad. That's a lit of food... The ribs, shrimp and chicken fingers were all good. Hope to find another Fatz in our travels.
Came here for lunch while visiting Cheraw, South Carolina to drop my cousin back off where she lives and to visit my grandfather. FATZ café is a low key chain restaurant that appaarently spans across the Carolinas, parts of Georgia, and Virginia; where you can get stardant American favorites. This one in Cheraw is the only location that I've been to, and I can say based solely on my experience here that they really take pride in both their food and customer service. I got the calabash popcorn shrimp wrap, (substituted in place of the chicken) with spicy ranch and french fries on the side and it was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and filled with southern charm and hospitality. The establishment was also very clean with a good atmosphere. Overall there aren't many places in Cheraw to go out to, but if youre ever in the area this has to be one of your stops.
Visiting Cheraw SC for retriever test and needed to find a place to get dinner in this small town. FatZ seems to be a chain similar to Ruby Tuesdays or Applebee's in the northeast states, despite the strange name (from a marketing perspective). So my husband and I went without high expectations and were pleasantly surprised! Face it, the food in these chains is probably of similar quality. But our meal at FatZ showed us the difference that attentive preparation and service makes! We ordered the baby back ribs which were true BABY backs and prepared well with a barbecue sauce on the sweet side, but not over sweet. The meat was tender, came off the bone easily, was blackened just the right amount on the grill after slow cooking and had no extraneous fat. Plus, the portion they call a full rack was easily double the size of a full rack in more northern states! The potato was out of this world! A simple baked potato. But so hard to find one baked and not steamed and mushy. There was real butter to apply too! The simple house salad was also perfect! Again, attention to quality made the difference. The lettuce was cold, but not frozen and wilted, or browning. The tomatoes were not overripe. The croutons, cheese, and bacon topping were all in perfect proportion. Service was great and the attention to detail and quality preparation of the food made me realize just how bad that attention is in some other chains. We also had the southern hospitality displayed everywhere around here! A nice touch, even if I'm still in a Yankee hurry! We had a great quality meal with huge potions and friendly service! Wish we had this back home!

@huddlehouse Oh my God, I love my huddle house! #huddlehouse #CherawSC This is the best late night staff. They remember me. They know my name. And they look after me. I have nothing but the absolute upmost praise for my huddle house here on hwy. 1/52, jus
In the spirit of location, location, location this particular restaurant is set in a not so well off community. The patrons are mostly local and drinking then eating is the norm. The staff which did mostly well with service still had there issues with the regulars which probable frequent often. I found the place kept up mostly with the exception of the usual bathroom uncleanliness and paper towels and wipe paper strewn about. A good place for the only place open late and they have 24 hour truck parking on site. Worth the visit of you find yourself drunk or exceptionally hungry in this one horse town.

Bad service and bad food. Ordered a #2 combo and they forgot my fries. I told the lady politely that she forgot my fries. She rolled her eyes and got the fries. Handed them to me and shut the window without saying a word. The burger tasted bad and I threw it in the trash.
