I'm not much of a true BBQ fan so it's always hard for me to review BBQ type restaurants, since most places down here are vinegar based BBQ, and if I'm going to have BBQ, I usually go for mustard based BBQ. I played it safe and got chicken - which was done in mustard based BBQ and nothing wrong. One of the things that I have found with BBQ restaurants as well is that you typically get two sides with you meal, most of which I could do without. I wound up getting a double order of fries with my meal. Nothing really stood out with the layout of the restaurant. Noticed that you can get unlimited (sweet) iced tea as well as water, but soft drinks are served from cans - and more than likely get charged per can. Only other minor detail is we were given a napkin and fork after our orders were placed, but could have benefited from a knife for my chicken, which I needed to ask for one from the counter.

Stopped in there today for lunch with co-workers. This BBQ venue was clean and staff were very friendly. I had the small BBQ chicken platter for around $9.00 which included sweet tea, two generous portioned sides and two hush puppies. I only saw one BBQ sause option but I was impressed as it was a good tasting sause (sweet taste with a hint of heat and vinegar). They are only open Weds through Sat though 10:30am-8:00pm.

An undiscovered gem. Watford's doesn't look like much but I have yet to find a better pulled pork sandwich. A lot of the sides are just "meh" but the vinegar based sauce is a welcome relief from all the awful mustard based sauces that the region is known for.

Don't miss this place if you like BBQ. I had a BBQ sandwich with slaw and the hot sauce and it was great! Very lean. Fries are good as well. Only a short drive from I-20 and well worth it.

This was the best BBQ!!! We had gotten off I-20 for another restaurant with great reviews but LUCKY for us we couldn't find it!! The workers were so helpful explaining the menu and menu is large! I tried hash and rice for the first time - it is delicious! Bought some to take home!!! I have no complaints with this place.

Really good BBQ. I think this is one of the best BBQ places near Sumter. once inside you order food like you would at any fast food restaurant but then you go sit down. Your food it brought to you piping hot. And it is delicious. My husband and I both got the BBQ platter. It came with hash and rice, pulled pork, coleslaw, hush puppies and a drink for $6. You cant beat that. It was so much food that I couldn't finish all of it. The meat was so tender and moist. The hush puppies were nice and sweet with a good crispy outside and soft inside. It is about 20 mins away from downtown Sumter and was worth the drive. The only down fall is that they don't take credit cards, cash only.

I was visiting the area for work and came to this restaurant because of the yelp reviews. I wish I hadn't, but this isn't the first time I've been mislead by yelp. I've been to many BBQ places, and I'd have to rank this one on the bottom of that list. I wanted to order the ribs, but they ran out, so I ordered the large order of BBQ and it was beyond disappointing. The pork had no smoke or BBQ flavor, but it had rather sour vinegary taste to it. The pork was dry and for the most part minced instead of pulled. The plate came with coleslaw and green beans. The green beans were fairly standard canned beans, and the slaw looked like it came out of a blender.

A little diamond in the rough. Being from California we got introduced to real southern charm, good bbq and sweet tea. Extra serving of hush puppies did not disappoint either. Kids loved the fresk chicken tenders. Worth the 2 mile drive off the interstate.
