Just can't say enough about Nick, Joan, and the fam, home style food. Old school diner feel. 30+ years and it shows. Go get your breakfast or lunch on! I had the "Lane" BLT W/ egg salad on Italian toast. Joan makes homemade desserts and Nick usually has a beauty of a ham ready to carve off a hunk or two. It's not fancy by any means but you'll get an honest meal and friendly service.

I was excited to come here since the reviews said it was the best breakfast place around. So disappointed and I am not one to give poor reviews, the waitress, although super friendly had to ask the other waitress about everything, if the mushrooms were fresh or canned, what was in Greek omelet, if the spinach was fresh or frozen. She said she has worked there for several years. The home fries were basically a potato cut and not fully cooked causing them to be hard, there was no seasoning on it whatsoever. The omelet was a basic omelet not bad. The pancakes were good but none of the food was hot. The bread was barely toasted and although the ham looked amazing it was extremely dry. Had to wait a long time for the coffee to be refilled as well although they weren't very busy. The facility was not clean and had no paper towels. The saving grace is that the staff is ridiculously friendly hence why they got 3 stars vs 2. Just so disappointed and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.

Back at this great place again...had a weiner omelet...it was really good. Kids finished all there breakfast also. High recommend. Staff very welcoming and hard working.

My boyfriend and I moved to Warwick about 2 years ago and, ever since, have been searching for the perfect breakfast place. After trying multiple restaurants that just didn't impress us, we'd eventually decided that nothing was better than good ol' Newport Creamery, and haven't gone anywhere else since we decided that they were the winner. But we've been driving by Nick & Joan's place on Warwick Ave. pretty much every day since we moved here, and have been dying to try it out at some point. And today was that day! Nick and Joan are the two super friendly owners who run the place...Joan is a server and Nick is the cook. We experienced great, fast service, but I'd unfortunately have to describe the food as hit or miss. I loved my coffee and breakfast sandwich, and my boyfriend's pancakes were the best pancakes I've tried in a long time (he loved his scrambled eggs as well), but we both agreed that the hashbrowns were pretty awful (bland with no seasoning, not crispy, and almost undercooked) and I was very disappointed with my cheese and mushroom omelette once I realized that the (way too many) mushrooms he'd used were canned. So, overall, it wasn't the greatest breakfast I've ever had, but I was very impressed with a few things we had, as well as with how at home the owners made us feel, so we will definitely be going back! Those pancakes were delicious, and I can't wait to order some of my own next time :)

Absolutely the finest breakfast establishment in Warwick! My son and I have our breakfast there every day during the school year. Keeps Jr from getting headaches during his intense studies :) Highly Recommended to everyone.. Try a Steves Special! Nothing like home cooked food with Lots of love. Frank and Frank Jr.

I had gone to this place several years ago and remembered having a good breakfast here so, when I mistimed my flight and got to Warwick too early I came here for breakfast. I'm glad I did. The place has a few booths and tables as you enter and a counter along the grill. Decor is basic diner, nothing fancy. I sat at the counter and the cook served me coffee right away. Coffee was decent and my cup was never empty. While deciding what meat I wanted, I noticed a whole ham on the bone propped next to the grill and decided to go for ham. The cook sliced ham right off the bone and put it on the grill. My eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. The home fries were fresh and crispy. Prices were reasonable and the service was prompt and friendly. I will be back!
