Good food, competitively priced, very friendly staff! You gotta love the free popcorn in the bar area. Steamers are always delicious. Hope they bring back the spicy seafood fra diavolo dish!

We went on a Sunday evening and after reading my fellow Yelpers, made sure to get there early (5pm). Good call, we only had a 5 minute wait (by the time we left, holy cow there was a line!) Server was 5 stars all the way. She was awesome. Friendly but with some teasing/attitiude - just right for us. love. Place did have a fair share of older folks, but also lots of families with kids, so a good mix. Nice family vibe. Great views of the harbor, so try to sit at the windows if you can. Food was mostly very good with a few mehs thrown in just to keep this from being a lovefest 5 star review. Items to try: Calamari app - hands down some of the best we've had in RI. Clamcakes - yummy turkey dinner - real turkey, real good Meh: Baked seafood dinner - not bad, but the fish and scallops were buried under a pile of crumbs...just kinda offputting Fish and chips - I expected this to be a standout and it wasn't. The fish was soft but not in a good way...it was almost mushy. It didn't taste off or bad so I didn't send it back, but I've had so much better elsewhere. On other tables the chicken pot pie looked AMAZING as did the lobstah roll. We'll definitely go back and try some of those dishes (but trust me, my hubbie is getting that calamari again!).

Lobster didn't taste fresh :( dinner rolls were warm and delicious! The prime rib was very tasty! Went late around 8pm not many people in the restaurant, but the service was excellent!

Nice spot!! What a great experience my girlfriend and I had here on Mother's Day. We did not have reservations and we expected to wait ,but we were lucky enough to grab 2 seats at the bar. The Bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We split an order of steamers that were cleaned very well. We also had clam cakes served with white chowder. This chowder did not need any seasoning at all. We split a seafood platter for an entree. It came with fish , whole belly clams , bay scallops, and two shrimp. I do prefer sea scallops being from New England but that wasn't a deal breaker!! It was all very good and we got what we paid for. The only thing I would have a complaint about would be that they buy their tartar sauce portioned from Ken's. I really think that something as simple as a homemade tartar sauce can make a difference, believe it or not. Especially if you're at a Marina having fried seafood.

Excellent! Went to as many places possible and this place has the best clam chowder in the area. Creamy with huge chunks s of fresh clams. Service was quick and very personable. Great dining expirence...

While traveling to Providence, I went to the Crow's Nest for dinner. I wanted something by the water and a place that had seafood. The food was good at a reasonable price, service was great. The dinning area was a bit on the loud side as there was a large party of 18 people dinning close to my table. This really seems like a local's hangout, so I felt like I was at eating where the locals do, which I like to experiance when on the road. The food was good with generous portions - the server was attentive and quick. I did enjoy my meal hear and would go back again to try something different on the menu, there were several things that caught my eye and would be interested in trying. I would recommend going here if in the area.

Consistent, delicious seafood and pasta place. Old clientele, but a place to sit eat and relax. No frills. Perfect. Maybe a little over priced but that is something I can overlook.

Just too funny. This is a place of extremes. Extremely young groups, or not so much. Extremely good food and service, welcoming 'hello' when you walk through the door....not so much. All in all, I really like this place. It is off the main drag, it is where locals go and it is great food with great prices. They really make sure those that may be on a fixed income are taken care of. The service at the table was fantastic and friendly. Calamari app was great. Steamers were excellent. Fish and chips were better than expected. So if you are looking for good food at a great place, this is the stop. Only warning - go early. We went at 5:30 and were seated quickly. When we left at 7:00, people out the door waiting to get.

Love this place!! Great value on everything, especially lobster rolls which are overpriced everywhere I've been before. Also very sweet staff!

This restaurant was wholeheartedly recommended by the concierge of our hotel. We were not disappointed. The lobster roll was overflowing with lobster. Salads were generous and fresh. Clam chowder was loaded with fresh clams. Broiled Scod done to perfection with a side of spinach au gratin; My date had the butternut squash. This restaurant can be a bit of a challenge to find with the ongoing road construction in Warwick but well-worth the trip. Our waitress, Lois, was a delight -- she jumped on our selections for dinner saying they were her first and second choice.

The previous Yelper's were right on with this place... Old People - Check Good Food - Check I really enjoyed my baked scrod. I prefer the red chowder to the white.

  • Peter D.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and I go least 3 times a month. My favorite dinners are the baked scrod (which is always perfectly cooked and delicious) and the chicken parm. I've tried other things which have all been good but I stick to those regulars here. They really excel at seafood so you can't go wrong with that, but the American and Italian dishes are great too. Portions are big so you definitely get a lot for the money. Service is always very friendly, fast and attentive and you never wait long for your food, either.

Pretty good raw bar. Enjoyed the chowder but I've been here several times and the clam cakes sometimes taste like...well...not clam cakes. I think they cooked them in oil for other food about 50% of the times I've been there. Really friendly servers and good prices, though.

There's a reason they have been in business since 1966...Good food, great prices, waterfront location. Can't go wrong here.

I have eaten here many times and I think the food is really good. You can't go wrong with the fish n chips. The service is always great and the food is consistent. Prices aren't bad either. The inside is very plain, nothing exciting but the food makes up for what it lacks in character. Overall a great restaurant.

  • Randy C.

All of the food was hot and portions were good as was the service. Will def return. A good sign of good food is that there is always a wait. That many people cant be that wrong. The place did not dissapoint. The drinks were well made, the food was good and the porions were generous... Tucked away down the road off of Post Rd. but not hard to find!

  • Jonathan L.

I won't say they have the best fried belly clams (doing so would disrespect my own town's restaurant), but I will say it is on par with the best fried belly clams I have ever eaten. Very fresh food. Just an excellent choice all around. Not far from the airport, jam packed, and excellent fresh food. Must go back next time I'm by PVD.

Good scallops and the best stuffies around. Being just a bock and a half away from family this is one of those "Hey while we're here" places. I'm not enitrely sure I'd make the 30 minute drive from home to come here specifically, but if I'm in the area, then I'm probably going to stop. Tucked out of the way in Apanaug and nestled up against a boat stoage yard the Crow's nest is a solid seafood place with the extra ambiance of being so close to the water and seafaring things. You'll wait if you come for dinner or during a busy lunch rush, but it's almost always worth it. I've never had a bad meal here, but I can' say I've ever had a fantastic one here. Consistently high quality dishes are what the Crow's nest does best. With prices that make dinner a good value for the buck. The stuffies are the one consistent stand out each time I come. They're a mandatory purchase in my book. Some may argue they should have some heat to them, but as someone who still feels quality food is about rich flavors and textures and not simply how much pepper can be used to mask the absence of these things, these are close to perfect. So yes, if you're in the are by all means go. It's worth the wait. If you know you're going to be in the area and want to try it out, use their call ahead seating. Once your entire party arrives you're moved ahead of walk in customers.

Bit of a blue-hair establishment. Their broccoli au gratin and spinach au gratin is fantastic! I will literally contemplate not ordering when I call and find out they don't have one of those that day. Their baked scrod lunch portion is a good deal for the money. And the taste is on the better side of baked scrods I've had. Usually my go to dish. I've had their shrimp cocktail, which they don't devein, not a huge deal breaker for me, but is for some. Their French onion soup when they have it is decent. I got their chowder and maybe because it was early in the day, but the potatoes weren't cooked fully. That's about it I've tried. Like I said I usually go for the luncheon portion of baked scrod with double serving au gratin, mmmm fantastic. Oh and their rolls are good. Almost forgot...their fried clams are good.

YUM. I've been here many a time as both a child and an adult, and have never been disappointed in The Crow's Nest. We rarely sit down to eat, and opt for take out (Clam cakes and chowder are always fresh and perfectly Rhode Island) instead, but we went a couple weeks ago for dinner. The waiter, who's name I forget sadly, was the best part of the experience. He was intelligent, funny, and always there when you needed him but not TOO pushy. Awesome. (He used to work in the kitchen...but wish I could remember his name!). The decor is a little outdated, but that almost adds to the charm of the place. Appropriate level of noise in the dining room, and attentive management.

The Twin Oaks of Warwick. I know TO is not what it used to be, but this place gives you a great portion at an excellent price. I order seafood here as it is what you should do when at the "Crows". Baked stuffed lobster is very good, as is the Lobster Roll, however something about their peel and eat shrimp is creating a craving. A icy cold dozen big shrimp that snap, GO FOR IT.

Went here for some dinner. Of course, lobster. Place could use a once over with a clean bar rag and a friendlier staff. Maybe I just got seated with the old soldier waitress whom no one could bring themselves to fire. She seemed severely bothered by having to serve my wife and I. But I usually tend to overlook surly staff. I've been there myself and I know it's not all smiles when serving the public. However since I have been there I know that I as a patron, am a dream. I pretty much bus my own table, over tip and do not antagonize the waitperson. So why the waitress was cranky through the entire meal with my wife and myself I can't figure out. In any case, the overpriced lobster meal came. I was particularly excited because I used to have lobster every weekend years prior from a restaurant in Newport Beach, CA and knew what good lobster was and my wife had never had lobster before so I kept telling her she was in for a treat. After all, if anyone should be able to cook lobster right it should be the northeast coast. Let's just say, the cooks here need some training. Just boiling a lobster, throwing it on a plate with some Velveeta cheese on overcooked broccoli on the side doesn't cut it. Have some self respect. The plate screamed 'this is just a paycheck for me' and tasted like a boiled crawdad. Wife ended up sick and throwing up all night because of it, too. Thanks for that.

I loved the scenery since I was able to be seated with a view of the harbor. The hostess and waitress were both very nice and attentive. I had the swordfish and I was not dissapointed. It was well cooked and tasted great! The calamari was good as well. Overall a very family friendly restaurant and would love to come in again to try out other dishes!

Stopped here driving from NYC to Boston, because of good reviews and being close to I-95. Mom and pop is a good description. But also is "fried everything" and dirty. The plates at our table had left over food on them (and the table was dirty too). We prefer grilled seafood - no luck here. I got the swordfish and since there was blackened mahi-mahi on the daily special board, asked if I could have it blackened. What I got was a piece of swordfish with Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning you buy in the grocery store put on it and pan fried - not exactly blackened. While, I admit the portion was large, the fish was dry and overcooked. The salad was very ordinary (diner quality) and the baked potato overcooked. My wife (not finding much on the menu) got the lobster roll which had way too much mayonnaise, and a huge bun, not carved out, that made it impossible to eat with. The pickled beets were out of a can. We were very disappointed.

What can I say? Crows Nest has great chowder and seafood. When I have a hankering for fish n chips my bf and I make the trek to Apponoag. Lunch and dinner always comes with soup or salad served with the best warm rolls in the state !!

  • Jennifer G.

Retried Crow's Nest after seeing more recent solid reviews. I have to say, this past visit was WAY better than last time. Great chowder and tasty lobster roll! Glad to see it's gotten back to what I expect!

  • Laura M.

We live in the area, and have never had a bad meal here. We always get the 5 baked stuffed shrimp and share it- my bf eats 3 and I eat 2 and we are stuffed. The service is always polite and efficient, and they always split the meal for us before they bring it out, which I think is very nice. They never look down their noses at us because we share a meal. Yes, there's a lot of old people that eat here, but who cares? I'm there to eat, not to look at who's there! This is Warwick, not downtown Boston. And you have to figure if there's so many senior citizens, it must be a good value, because old folks do not like to pay a lot for anything (actually I think they have a special senior citizen menu/discount or something). Anyway, like I said, consistently good food and good service.

First things you notice when you get here: 1. The menus look cool. 2. There are a ton of old people here. This is like an old folks' regular spot. I was probably the youngest in the room at 23. But, the food was excellent, even though the old white ladies next to me were laughing at me for taking pictures of the food. Don't be hatin! We started with the Steamers appetizer. It was like $15 for a HUGE serving of longneck steamed clams. It comes with a cup of the clam's juices and a cup of melted butter to dip it. An amazing dish. Tons of clams which tasted fresh and springy. We were satisfied with ordering one for 3 people. I got a 1/2 lobster roll and a cup of clam chowder. Lobster roll came with potato salad which I could tell was made in house. Potatoes felt like they were just prepped, but it wasn't creamy enough for me. I like my potato salad to taste like I'm doing my health a disservice by eating it! This potato salad was too healthy tasting. You can tell the clam chowder is made with fresh ingredients. It's a very thick chowder and I kinda got full just by eating half of it. My mom got the Steak Oleo, which was a fatty cut of steak that had the top sliced and topped with garlic butter. The garlic butter's supposed to seep into the meat as it cooks. Her first one came out well-done so we sent it back. Still wasn't that great when we got a new cut, but it's our fault for getting steak at a seafood joint. Lesson learned. My dad got the lobster. Very fresh. Meat was large and succulent. Most entrees come with choice of soup or salad and you get to pick your sides as well. For dessert we got the chocolate ice cream parfait. I was stuffed already but I unlocked my second stomach that's reserved for dessert. They have a large selection of sugar-free desserts here so my dad (who fears diabetes) was excited to try their dessert. I usually hate sugar-free anything, but I gotta say their ice cream was pretty good. None of the crappy sugar-free aftertaste. Icing on the cake: You can order wine by the bottle. My rents got a bottle of Pinot Grigio for $15. Now if that ain't a deal, I dunno what is. Our waiter was attentive and had a cool accent. Come eat if you're staying near TF Green Airport or if you like eating good food around old folks.

My wife and I just went on July 3rd. See her review. Lois was great as was the food and as she said it was a bit dated in terms of decor. Ignore the review commenting on the blue hairs. (Jean R. should show respect) They know good food and value from experience! We will go back for sure. They could update the place and bring in a younger crowed but they are obviously doing something right to be pretty full at 3 on a Wednesday and a short wait for people by the time we left. Clams Casino were fantastic and my vegetarian wife loved her Veggie lasagna. We brought plenty of food home with us as well.

I have been going here for years and have sampled many items on the menu, all of which are awesome. The one thing that my whole family and i get EVERY time though is the lobstah roll. Describing it with words can't do it justice, just go try it for yourself. Your stomach will be full and more then satisfied.

The bartenders are really nice to locals. That's what makes a great bar. The seafood is the best around. Keep it up, Crow's Nest.

Carolyn my server was a 5! The owner I met, Laurie truly cares. The menu is voluptuous with options and the sea food is fresh. Oh and the value is superb. It's casual, but comfortable.

  • Ann K.

Cool place! The clam chowder was tasty but a bit heavier than I generally like. My baked scrod was very good but my side of spinach au gratin wasn't. The spinach was not only topped with the same cracker crumbs as my scrod but I was hard pressed to actually find the spinach. Overall, a good meal but definitely not the best I had on my trip to Rhode Island.

The place is so loud we stopped going there after years of going twice a week for dinner (we eat out almost every day of the week) it' so loud you can't hear the person you are sitting with. Another complaint is they waste hundreds of gallons of water per day by giving anyone who sits down a full glass that gets dumped out later. I have suggested only giving water if patrons ask but for some reason, they think they are a fine dinning facility (not even close) even the servers agree about dumping out 90% of the water they put on the tables. Think about the money & time you would save on thereafter bill & the help wastingvtime moving all that water! Oven if you tell the server you don't want water put on the table, some kid will notice you don't have it and bring it to you! TERRIBLE POLICY! sometimes you get a great server and sometimes a kid who could care less (maybe they judge a potential tip by your appearance ....which is foolish because we tip better than 30%!) When the servers who know us see us coming, they fall over themselves to get us in their area but the noise level and killing the environment with the water wasting made us decide to only use them for take-out once in a while....Sorry folks but I asked you to address both of those problems and you chose to disregard my feelings on the issue. The food is standard, middle of the road fair. Chelo's and the Greenwoodv inn are better about noise and not wasting water. (& less than 3 minutes drive from the Crow's Nest)

Some of these reviews are crazy. People ordering cheesesteaks and chicken parm? What did you expect? This is a seafood place people. The Crows Nest is a destination for the 65+ crowd and there are a ton of elderly regulars. The second you walk in you're greeted by a sea of walkers, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, etc. The food here is pretty good. It isn't an oyster or Chilean sea bass type of seafood place. Basically they specialize in clam cakes, fish and chips, scallops, calamari ... all kinds of deep fried seafood. I have had the fish and chips here numerous times and it's always good. The lobster salad roll is also really good and it's a pretty large portion of lobster. If you're in the mood for fried seafood this is a good spot and it's a fun laid back experience.

Stop # 13 The Crow's Nest has the Red Lobster motif complete with fishing rods and pictures of the sea and sea creatures. Of course, being by the waterfront lends a great deal of credibility to this place. The Crow's Nest is a good place to eat but hardly the famed seafood shacks that New England's famous for. The steamers are very tasty - dip to wash and you're good to go. I like it because its simple with the mere addition of garlic, white wine, herbs, and salt. However, I have mixed feelings about the fixings. There's an eerie feeling that the beets are probably canned and the mashed potatoes perhaps instant. Maybe I'm thinking too much but it seems overcooked, lacking in cream, or perhaps it was sitting out too long. With regards to the lobster, stick with the steamed option instead of the broiled option. The breading is tasty but it smothers the lobster. After all, isn't that what you're paying for? Broiling a lobster drys it out more and loses a lot of the flavor in the process. Stick with simple, fresh seafood and you can't go wrong. Also, don't expect a sophisticated wine list. The Crow's Nest is rather pedestrian with its Kendal Jacksons and Yellow Tail. Overall, I enjoyed the meal but I'm not convinced its the best seafood that New England has to offer. Note: In February of 2009, Cindy and I embarked on a 48-hour eating tour around the greater Boston area. I called it the Boston Masticare - a bad pun off the Italian transitive verb "to chew." [Original Visit: February 14, 2009, 8:11 PM]

My fiance and I enjoy this place. Their fish and chips are really good, and so is the clam chowder and calamari. They let you call ahead to reserve a table, which is nice because it can get busy. Waitstaff is very nice, and the prices are reasonable. The area is also pretty - right across from the lake.

Worse meal of my life!!! Ordered their signature swordfish and it was extremely dry and fishy tasting, obviously not fresh nor cooked properly. The waiter never came back to check on our meal and when he finally did come around to give us our check some 20 minutes after serving us I told him and he did not offer anything at all! What a total disappointment this place was, such a nice location and a huge crowd, had to wait 40 min to be seated, but awful food and terrible service. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want crap food and maybe a case of food poisoning.

Love The Nest! Flew into TF Green and flew right over, and I mean, right over to the Crow's Nest; it was Easter Sunday, and it was reservations only, so I sat in the bar and had a fantastic fish n chips; even took a picture of it to show my landlocked friends back in Nashville. The food is always top notch here and the staff is always friendly. Of course, the view is fantastic. One night, I ordered the scrod to go and had it back in my hotel room. Fantastic! The mashed potatoes were great, too! This place does nothing wrong, and no, I'm not related to the owner! (P.S. Try the apple dumpling with vanilla ice cream; you won't be disappointed).

This is a 3.5 star review. I've been here a few times and each time, the lobster was succulent and oh so scrumptiously plump. I would have given this place a 4.5 star review had it not been for the service. Our server was not very nice nor was she attentive at all. I understand that it was valentines' day and that it was super busy there, but that doesn't excuse her from being that way. We had to ask her for extra table settings three times before she even thought about getting them for us. Other than the service, I absolutely love this place. It's very scenic as well with boats, waters, and green encompassing the restaurant. It is a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but you usually find the best stuff off the beaten path. The lobster is always fresh, meaty, and cooked just right. There's always a whole lot of meat too and not just the tail or claws. If you're ever in Providence or Boston, stop by.

Dined for dinner on evening. Great location by the water. The atmosphere was that if a mom and pop restaurant. Food was decent. I had the shrimp and scallops. Scallops were a bit chewy. My friend had the stuffed lobster and she enjoyed it.

As out of towners looking for a seafood restaurant, our hotel recommended the Crows Nest. Good open atmosphere, by the water. Extremely friendly, efficient and helpful waitress. Food was eh. Red chowder was all potatoes toes and hardly any clams but the broth was tasty, friends said the white chowder was decent, but still loaded with potatoes. Linguini with white clam sauce was bland. Needed seasoning and garlic. Fried scallops & clams were unexciting. Friends broiled lobster was so dry. Mashed potatoes were real with lumps in them :) A bit disappointed, as is should have been excellent. I just don't think the owner must eat their own food. They would have it stepped up a notch,

I had lived in Rhode Island and had never been before. When I was back in December, I wanted to have lunch at the Crow's Nest. It was peaceful and relaxing. There wasn't much of a young crowd. The food was delicious and the servers were polite.

My mother and I decided to go to Crow's Nest for an early dinner for my late birthday present. I ordered the chicken Marsala with the mash potatoes and butternut squash. Also, my mother and I end up sharing some clams casino and I would like to say they still make the best chicken Marsala and the clams casino were delicious and I will be going back there again very soon.

Awesome place for a drink and or food. The people here were so friendly. I was looking for some good seafood and this place hit the spot. I had the lobster roll and clam chowder very good. The employees were very kind. It is a little older of a crowd but it is definitely a place to go if u want a nice atmosphere and good food.

My husband and I went here for the first time on Wednesday evening and had dinner. It would be a 5-star review except the décor is a bit outdated. Lois, our waitress, was fantastic! Very friendly and accommodating, she was a pleasure! My husband had the clams casino and a grilled cheese. He really enjoyed the clams, they are probably his 2nd favorite from anywhere (he is a connosuier, he gets them everywhere he goes!). I had the broccoli & cheese potato skins, which were very good; I also had the baked vegetable lasagna, which came with garlic bread and a salad for $9.95! It was a huge piece, and excellent! We will definitely be back when we are in the area, well worth the visit.

This place is really good. My litmus test is calamari. It is not easy to get properly cooked calamari, and even when it's cooked properly, 1 minute under a heat lamp and it's toast. They got it right. I also had a classic RI Stuffie, Red Chowder, and Baked Stuffed Shrimp. All were great, well prepared, and served hot. The shrimp is a rich dish. I got the 5 to share with my daughter, and could never have finished it on my own. And I'm a BIG eater! $63 for a party of 3 for 3 courses, can't beat it. Service was very attentive. They were extraordinarily busy for a Monday night...I can see why.

We stopped by the Crows Nest after Kayaking on a Friday. Sat at the bar and had fantastic Bloody Mary and then a Grey Goose martini with dinner. (Can't go wrong for $6.50 for a Grey Goose martini). My husband had the baked stuffed shrimp and I had my all time favorite, whole belly fried clams. Everything was fantastic and with such large portions and all the sides includes, we had extra to take home. By the time we left, there were people waiting outside for tables....with it that busy, they have to be doing something right. We do plan on going back.

This is a place my family has been coming to for many years. When I was younger, the entire restaurant was the size of the current bar. We come to this place for some good ole fashion RI-style seafood. If you are looking for a fancy steak, this isn't the restaurant for you. But if you want baked scrod with butternut squash or clam cakes and chowder, I'd recommend giving this place a whirl. If your enjoyment of food is influenced by the age of the surrounding tables, then I'd support previous yelper comments that this place attracts my grandmother's best friends. For me, that's one of the signs of a good place where people have been frequenting an establishment for many years and have continued to support the restaurant as it grows and changes. In my mind, this place is a Warwick classic.

The 3-star average doesn't do this place justice - great location, great service and excellent food. The variety was great, and the seafood we had was phenomenal. -1 star for just not the best chowder (tried both red and white), but it wasn't bad. Fish & chips, fried clams, etc were great. The real highlight was the clam cakes. About the best I can remember having, anywhere anytime. Everyone left happy and full.

We had an absolutely awful meal here. The steamers were full of grit (and the restaurant didn't even give you real butter to dip them in - they give you some butter-flavored oil like the kind you get at the movie theatre for your popcorn). My husband's stuffed fish was way overcooked. My son's seafood in white sauce over pasta was absolutely tasteless and my stuffed shrimp looked unappetizing (the stuffing was dark brown, consisted of only breadcrumbs with no crabmeat at all and had a hard crust from being overcooked). The restaurant was packed, however... a testament, no doubt, to their large portions and fairly reasonable prices. If you love large portions of bad food, then this is the place for you.

Great place to stop in for Clam Cakes, ChowDah and a drink. The rest of the menu is full of the New England favorites. The shrimp scampi is flavorful and they do not skimp on the shrimp. The traditional lobster roll is market price, but you get TONS of lobster. I had the baked stuffed shrimp and the filling was good, but not the best. Stick with Twin Oaks, theirs is the best in my opinion. It's a little pricey, but you could split a plate if your stomach doesn't want to expand to take it all in. It's right on the water, so the view once the boats are in the water is great. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, but the servers are friendly and helpful. Like the other yelper said, stay away from the spinach gratin...

Yum! Can't be beat for price and food quality. Dinner tonight was a swordfish kabob, perfectly grilled on the spear with peppers, tomato, and squash, on a bed of rice pilaf and a side of cold broccoli vinegrate (ate the entire portion first!) along with a first course of red chowder. My mom had the baked stuff shrimp along with a baked potato (and yes, a side of sour cream, why not?), yummy smashed turnips and carrots, along side a cup of white chowder. Did I mention the rolls were so hot from the oven the waitress gave us caution in touching them? To finish the meal we had coffee and shared a home made grapenut custard that was creamy, nutty, and with a hint of cinnamon. All in all, the meal was great. For $50 (including two wines), we had a nice, tasty meal, great service, nice surroundings, with a mixed company; I might add, equal amounts of 'walker' customers to the under 50 crowd. :) I would certainly visit again, and the next time during the day to get the ambiance of the harbor, or even after a kayak paddle to their door.

My husband ordered the cheesesteak with mushrooms and grilled onions which looked great. I tried the lobster salad roll which was recommended by a longtime Rhode Islander. It was good, but a little too much celery for my taste. The fries were hot and the service was fast, but not friendly. The server was short with us which I did not enjoy. They do not offer free refills on soda, which surprised us both so they gave us water instead.

Recently we ordered the chix parm and the chix was soooo overcooked that it tasted like rubber. (Can you chew through rubber?) You couldn't chew through this chix. It is disappointing because this place is always busy and so you know the money is abundant, they cant ensure that 2 meals are edible? I am not giving up on them because a bad night can happen anywhere...but I am watching...very closely.

I loved this place! We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, it was delicious! The clam chowder was good, I'm from Ohio so its good to me if the clams aren't gritty! I had the tuna steak, delicious.... The sides were meh (baked potato was hard and over cooked and the broccoli au gratin was a little to heavy for me). Our server was very friendly and attentive! Nothing fancy about this place but the view of the marina was enjoyable! I'd definitely return to this place again!

This place should be called the Jim Crow's Nest. I came here with my mom, sister, brother and his girlfriend. It was a nostalgic visit for us because our grandmother would take us out to eat here when we were little. Our waitress let us sit for about ten minutes before she took our drink order. Then we barely had time to get out our food order before she briskly walked away from the table. We had to call her back and tell her we weren't finished ordering. Then we sat for another ten minutes while she attended to everyone else around us. When my brother caught her attention as she breezed past us and very politely asked for some bread, she responded with a cold stare. Instead of bringing the bread right out, she waited until our food was done and set the bread down last, saying "And here's the bread that you requested." She wouldn't have asked us how our meal was if it weren't for the fact that my mom stared her down while she was standing around idly. My mom gave her no tip and wrote " you were very rude" on the check. She should have added "Im sorry you had a problem with the fact that my children are half black."

The food was wonderful and the service was great! I had chowder and clam cakes. My fellow diners had prime rib and lobster. The sides were mediocre, but main dishes were amazing. Our waitress was an older women, who we were calling mom by the end of the meal. Yes, the crowd is older. . . well. . . old, but very friendly. We went there for the food, not to hang out with young people! The parking lot is packed for a reason!

I went to this restaurant just a few days ago, I was rather disappointed in my choice from the menu. I ordered the seafood saute in sauce you could chose either red or white sauce. I chose white, it was served over pasta. Umm some one forget to tell the chef that sauce is NOT the same thing as broth,so imagine my surprise when my dish came out and it held a bowl of pasta and seafood swimming in water my dish had no flavor what so ever. Others in our party didn't fare any better with their food choices either. Over cook fried seafood, fake(instant) mashed potatoes if you serve baked potatoes how hard it is to make real mash potatoes??? Although the chicken Marsala was delicious I can say that 4 out of the 8 people in our party were disappointed in the food. The atmosphere was nice, and the restaurant clean, wait staff and restaurant employees friendly, parking plentiful. I would think twice before I make a return visit.

I do like the Crow's Nest but, and I mean this respectfully, it smells like senior citizens. The chowder is Rhode Island worthy and the clam rolls are very good. I would give it a 3.5 if possible.

We had a wonderful waitress who was especially attentive to the fact that my two year old came along. She also did what most waitresses don't and held our dinner order until after we finished our appetizer so that we would have a little space between courses! It was quiet when we went to lunch, but the nachos were fantastic, the clam chowder was okay. There were more potatoes than clam but at least it was creamy and good. And I had the boiled lobster, which was very well-presented but it did not have all the meat included. However, it was less of a mess because they cut some of it up for you. I would return again to try some of their other dishes- each meal comes with two sides and a soup or salad so it's a great amount of food!

  • Kendra N.

Seafood was fresh, the broiled scrod, calamari, and the fried scallops and clams were delicious. The portions are plentiful with soup or salad that comes with every meal. Our server, Vanessa, was very attentive and recommended dinners based on what we were looking for. The decor is very old just like the clientele but if you are looking for good food and great service it is worth it. We went on a Sunday night around 6pm and there was no wait (I know others have said there is always a wait so maybe that time is good as the old people eat early on a Sunday)

Clam chowder is to die for. ..also had the steamers. .sweet, tender, and not a grain of sand. Finished up with a lobster roll for me and baked cod for her. Wonderful meal, great service, and nice people at the bar. .. one of my favorite places. .

Small local place on the water in Warwick, RI. Recommended by the desk clerk at the hotel. Not a place I would have found on my own. Based on the recommendation and some of the reviews I had high expectations for this place. I'm not sure what has been wrong with me the last few weeks, but my food selections have just proven poor. I ordered the seafood platter, and I should have known better because it was all fried. I don't eat a lot of deep fried food, but the people next to me had it, and it smelled so good. I started with the New England Clam Chowda. This was the dish that the girl at the hotel said was to die for. It was thick and creamy, but I probably saw maybe 1 tiny clam in the whole bowl. Mostly a bowl of diced under done potatoes. I ended up having to use Tabasco sauce to give it any flavor. The seafood platter was cod, shrimp, bay scallops and clam strips. The greasiest thing that I have attempted to eat in the last five years. I love fish and chips, so I figured that at least the cod would be good. How they got the inside so mushy I will never know. You couldn't even cut it, it just mushed out of the coating onto the plate. Pretty much the same for the rest of the food. If this is what they consider great seafood in Rhode Island, give me CA anytime. If not for the atmosphere, location and friendly service this would have been one star.

I went to this restaurant last night for my mom's birthday. It is one of her favorites so we gave it a try. First impression was that the atmosphere was super loud. I did not care for the fact that we had to yell to hear each other. When we sat, our waitress was very casual and you could tell she had been there for a long time. When we ordered, she asked about sides and mentioned broccoli au groton. My fiancé said yes but without the cheese - her response was very cocky "So you want steamed broccoli not broccoli au groton". My biggest pet peeve is when a waitress corrects a customer and makes them feel belittled. All she had to say was "Okay". When we got out fried calamari, I did not like the fact that it came with tartar sauce instead of marinara sauce. For a seafood place, I was surprised. I ordered the stuffed chicken for my entree and did not like it at all. It was too dry and bland. The broccoli au groton (with cheese) was amazing though! My mom had a great birthday and thoroughly enjoyed her veal cutlet with gravy (which I stole half because I didn't like mine). I don't think I will be dining here again in the near future :/

Called in an order around 5:45 to pick up at 6:15 for our plans to eat in the boat, we been there before few times. here are my notes on this place: 1- Next to the marina, good parking, not a big view though 2- Food always good, especially summer like seafood. Hot and good. 3- went in to pick up our food and the lady that works the hostess stand, just not a happy person, no smiles, not friendly, not excited. A young female worker was in charge of getting my food which was all good, for about 5 minutes late, no problem though for hot food, she packed everything very well, utensils and all. The unhappy hostess, she was nice to other older folks coming in, but generally unhappy with no smile, wrong person to be in this role. 4- Food was great. Got to boat, well packed, plenty of napkins and utensils. I am not very patient for unhappy service.

We live not too far away, but have never been to The Crow's Nest til this past Saturday. They don't take reservations unless you have an unusually large party, but they do have a call-in system, whereby you call ahead at 5:00 pm (this was for a Saturday night, and the place was PACKED!) put your name on their list for the time you'd like to arrive, then arrive on time and you will be seated ahead of those who just show up - we had a 15 minute wait, which was totally acceptable. Now, for the important information: Our waitress, Laurie (LS) was perhaps the best waitress I have ever encountered in RI! She was friendly, nice, fast, efficient, helpful and did I say nice and lovely! The place was packed, every table full, and she took the time to comply with every single request, pronto. She even brought one of my lobster claws back to the kitchen to crack for me, when I had a little difficulty. She tied my lobster bib around my neck. They don't come much better than Laurie!! Also important information: The food was fabulous. I can see why the restaurant was packed. I had the lobster dinner and my hubby had a bouillabaisse-type dish chock filled with huge pieces of shellfish, with red sauce, served over linguine. Both meals were fantastic. They came with choice of soup or salad, potato and vegetable. My baked potato was SO perfect - really baked, not microwaved like I usually have at my house! :-). The spinach side dish was so great, I wish I knew how it was made, and my lobster was succulent. Our chowder was delicious - we both ordered the red. I had some of my hub's dinner and I am for sure ordering it next time. I also had a vodka gimlet which was really wonderful and it came with a little extra portion served in a little bottle (which I do not know the name of!) and which I love because it feels like I am getting two drinks!! In summary, I think you can't go wrong dining at The Crow's Nest. Great food, great service, and not too expensive prices.

Very good seafood at reasonable prices. Mixed drinks were okay. Try the steamers or fresh fish specials. Didn't love the New England chowder, & surprised they don't have Rhode Island chowder. Good place overall!

I wish i could give more stars because I really love going to the bar but the last meal was not good at all. Had the fish and chips and as soon as I cut into the fish all I could smell was ammonia. I ate what I could but didn't say anything because I have been other times and the food was good. Sorry but not as fresh as you advertised!

Most reviews are pretty accurate for this great local gem. Cozy cute and cheap. Visiting from Pittsburgh and we were stunned at the amount of amazing food we got for a relatively cheap price. Appetizer, soup, salad, 2 sides for each meal a stuffed lobster and stuffed chicken and 2 cocktails each all for $80 bucks. It was a great meal with a great view. Might be back for lunch tomorrow.

The Crow's Nest will leave you wanting more; although the food was good, I was not impressed enough to consider returning. The menu is dominated by seafood, and the portion sizes are reasonable considering the $15-18 price range for most entrees. Personally, I felt each menu item was slightly overpriced, but business is booming for this little restaurant, so they won't be coming down anytime soon. We were hungry, so we set out for an early dinner, arriving around 5:15 PM and both parking lots were nearly full. There is a very large older crowd that seems to come early, for the restaurant cleared out by the time we left. The food came out in a reasonable time after the order was placed, but service was slow and inattentive otherwise. Our waitress seemed slow to take our order and slow to bring the check. I ordered the Seafood Sauté which was pretty good; it had a large variety of seafood. I expected it to come with an Alfredo-based sauce, rather than the thin white sauce that it came with. The white sauce seemed to compliment the fish well, but the pasta tastes very plain by comparison. It was served with a cup of chowder, which was delicious, and dinner rolls were also brought to the table. Overall, the food was good, but the Crow's Nest did not impress me, and I'm unlikely to return.

I had the half lobster roll, cup of chowder, and two clam cakes... all of which were very delicious. The service was attentive and friendly -- I met my family and arrived pretty late. I ordered after they had already done so, yet all of our food was served together and quickly. Amazing! I'll admit, I had relatively low expectations from this place, judging by the outdated decor. It reminded me of one of those family restaurants that cater to the older crowd with boring, bland food. I was proven wrong! Pleasantly surprised by the taste as well as the reasonable pricing. Kudos!

I had high hopes for Crows Nest- hidden away in a marina and right in the water, their location is gorgeous. But when I stepped inside and sat down, it was a flashback to an Jersey diner- and not really a good one. The staff here was very nice. They were lovely and took great care of us. The food, on the other hand, is mediocre at best. We started off with some clam chowder and clam cakes. The chowder was fine, if a little underseasoned, but the clam cakes were dense and mostly bread- there was hardly and clam. But they didn't taste bad, just okay. Then we had the clams casino. That was easily the worst dish I've had in a while- the whole thing was mush. Literally, I took it out of the shell and it was pure mush. It tasted a little sour, and we sent it back right away. Our server was apologetic and took it off our bill without our asking. Finally, for our meals I had the lobster roll and my boyfriend had the fried seafood dinner. Mine was okay. The fries were crispy and the lobster took was alright, if a little uninspired. His was a step down- everything was fried alright, but it was bland. Neither was worth the price they were charging- $20 for his and $17 for mine. Overall, the staff is nice, but the food seems to be catered to 80 year olds. Crows Nest needs an update and a little inspiration!

I never think to myself, man, I need to go back to the Crow's Nest, but when you are in need of a Lobster Roll (and that happens, often for me, during the summer) and the wait at Chelos by the Water is 45 minutes this would be my second choice. The Crow's Nest has been in business for what feels like forever. It is off the beaten path so it is kind of a not so hidden treasure. The decor is a bit out dated and the service tends to be a bit slow, however it is friendly and the food is fresh. The restaurant, most like a Greggs, seems to cater to an older crowd. I wish there was some outdoor seating to take advantage of their view, alas you are lucky to get a window seat. The prices are comparable to most other seafood restaurants. Overall, I would say there is nothing great about the Crow's Nest, but nothing to WOW you either.

I love this place! While I often suffer from "food regret" - this never happens to me at the crows nest! Everything is delicious but I love the 1/2 lobster roll and chowder combo. I highly recommend this place. Recently, my parents were in town on a snowy Valentine's Day weekend and they were able to provide the perfect venue for a larger party to have dinner on a traditionally romantic night. Best of all they even gifted the ladies with pink flowers, what a great touch!

Seafood history and lighthouses The Crow's Nest has been around for a long time and it's easy to see why. Tucked a way off of Rt 1, it's not easy to find if you don't know the area but it is definitely worth the effort. It looks rather plain from the outside with some limited views of the cove but the inside is actually quite spacious with a nice bar and several rooms. The table are nicely spaced so you aren't eating with someone's elbows in your face. The menu emphasizes seafood but there are other dishes too. Items change on the menu with the seasons and availability. The food was good but then there are lots of good seafood places in Rhode Island so nothing really stood out. The prices are portions were quite reasonable and our server was very friendly and efficient without being intrusive. One of the things I enjoyed best about the restaurant was the décor. Lots of great lighthouse photos hanging on the walls as well as some very cool, old and historic scenes of the area from the past. The Crow's Nest is a cool, sort of an out of the way place that is pleasant, quaint, reasonably priced and has good food. You even get to look at a whole heap of very cool lighthouses photos while you eat.

Went to the crows nest a while back. Located on the outskirts of Warwick. If your looking for a place of amazing seafood and a great price it's best you go here. I went here twice and both times I went I got the same thing because it was so good the first time and I paid the perfect price for the meal. Their special was a half lobster roll and half soup combo with some crab cakes to snack on. The lobster roll was so fresh and so tasty and the signature clam chowder was perfect. I highly recommend this spot great for when family comes to town.

Best place around. Value. Great food. Not just seafood which is terrific. Great setting. I buy my bait across the road next to the marina in the cove. Lots of seniors eat here because we find the best places. Brought my grandkids and every table would have entertained them if I asked. Did I mention the terrific service.

Service was great, however if you aren't a seafood person, this might not be the place for you. Everyone who got fish seemed to enjoy it Went with family and being the only meat eater, ordered a rare fillet. It came out medium to well twice. If you are going to have an item on your menu, you should be able to prepare it properly.

A family favorite restaurant--great seafood and a nice atmosphere. ANY seafood you order will be great--just keep in mind that you can't order it all, you gotta chose! I went with a large group and we all started with clamcakes and chowdah (of course!). It was delicious! One of my favorite places to get clamcakes and chowdah. However, by the time my fish & chips came, I was too full to enjoy. The portions are HUGE so I would recommend skipping the appetizer.

I just called a day after getting a real bad meal at this place. I called in a good mood just to tell them they needed to fix there quality control. When I asked for the manager,I got someone with an attitude saying they're the manager. I had to say numerous times , "Will you stop talking over me" Finally she said...Listen Honey ! She put me in a bad mood. I got the owners name,I'll call back ... ...but I'll never go back !

Absolutely the best non-tourist place in RI. Awesome food, food prices, lots of variety and all home poked. Get the fried platter baked, amazing. My only complaint is the bar area is really crowded and the Bar itself works on a wait system, like the restaurant, but they offer call ahead seating. If ou are in Warwick and want good seafood. GO HERE!

It's a great casual seafood place. The wait staff is friendly. The food is good. The food is mostly fried or well buttered. Seems to cater to an older customer base. Overall it's a good place to get seafood.

Very grateful to find this classic New England chowda house. Fantastic Lobster roll, excellent New England clam chowder, and a fine clams casino. We sat at the bar as the table wait was 45 minutes but the service at the bar was very friendly and the other patrons were congenial as well. Certainly worth another trip if we find ourselves in the area. It's a little hard to find but worth the journey.

We were up in Providence, at Hall's on Broadway and started talking about dinner spots with the owner and this was her number one recommendation for simple, local fresh seafood and we are so glad we followed her advice! The entrees all come with a choice of soup, chowder or salad. The New England clam chowder was a very good example-creamy, clamy, chunky. We had broiled swordfish with garlic butter & broccoli gratin and fried clams. All were great sized portions of obviously fresh seafood, simply made with all the flavor shining through. The atmosphere is old school (we were the youngest people in the place!), but we loved admiring the photos of lighthouses. And there is even a view if the water. Service was efficient, everything came out piping hot. If you're in the area-give it a try!

Love/Hate Relationship, but ultimately, this place always wins. This is as American as it gets. A hidden gem of Warwick/East Greenwich, the only way you will find this place is if you've Yelped it, or if someone took you here. To eat here, you have to wait. Whether you call ahead, or you come in, there is always some kind of wait, but calling ahead will save you at least 20 mins. The service here is hit or miss, it really depends on the day and the hour. This place is always busy, so if the waitress had a bad day, you might get bad service. The food is always consistent. I typically get the white clam chowder, which is traditional. It's not as thick as it's Chelo neighbors, but has enough flavor to satisfy. My girlfriend has had Clams casino, fish and chip, and the lobster roll, and seemed to have enjoyed them all. The stuffed quahog's are huge and are reasonably priced, tasty, and served with Tabasco. Make sure you get some dinner rolls, they are fantastic. As for drinks, they are also reasonably priced, and are well made. When I say it's love hate, I'm just referring to the wait times. It can get ugly, especially when ordering takeout. Otherwise, I love this place.

I read about this place on Yelp and decided I wanted to go. I asked my Dad if he knew about it and he laughed! Of course, he said." It's been there for years. Good food, good prices but it's always busy. We go there once or twice a month. " Wow. Really? I remember going to a dive-y bar near the marina a long time ago when I was in college, but didn't remember the restaurant. But the reviews are all true. Most of the patrons are over 65 (except at lunch during the week) and when it opens at 11:30 there are cars waiting in the parking lot and about 10 people always get out and go in. Definitely regulars who knows the servers by name. Service is hit or miss depending who you get and if they are in a good mood or not. Food- excellent steamed shrimp cocktail! Big perfectly cooked shrimp (9-12) served at market price ( $9.95 when I was there) . Totally worth it! Good clam chowder, pretty good clam cakes. My friend had the baked stuffed shrimp and said there were ok, but nothing fantastic. They looked small and a bit oily form the stuffing, so not too impressive there. One friend had the roast beef club and looked great. Fresh lettuce, rare RB, nice bread - she was very happy. My Dad got the lunch portion of the linguine with clams and said it was as good as ever. I had the lobster salad roll with fries ($16.95 that day) and it was jus ok. Fresh lobster but no flavoring- very bland. Dinner rolls are piping hot and yummy - ask for some! All in all I have been back several times and keep trying the food. You won't be disappointed!!!!!!

The food here is fantastic. Fresh seafood, great side dishes, and excellent service. Our waitress Carolyn made excellent recommendations. All of the food came out hot, fresh, and so delicious! I really enjoyed my meal here. The broiled lobster was perfect, highly recommended! i picked two sides plus clam chowder. So good! I should have gotten two lobsters! We also had the swordfish - phenomenal! I would Highly recommend the swordfish. This is a great restaurant, the service is top notch, and the food is fresh. This is a five star worthy restaurant. This was recommended by our hotel Concierge at the Crowne Plaza, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Strolled in for the first lobster roll of the season (and my first time here) on an April Saturday at about 7:30. Walked I. To a full waiting area filled mostly with the 'blue hair' crowd and a 30+ minute wait. I peeked into the very full bar just to find one couple getting up and we snagged the only open seats. At this point I was ready to embrace the slightly older (those are gentle words) scene for this well anticipated lobster roll! Warm buns and a fresh salad later, the she came...loaded to the brim on more of a small grinder roll (not a hot dog bun) and lightly mayoed I enjoyed several large chunks of fresh lobster and left filled to the brim. And get this, the stuffed lobster roll is only $15.95 - cant beat it! Nothing fancy but good food and fresh lobster rolls and who knows what else. Not a bad mid summer joint away from the traditional stomping grounds!

First off the fried clams were very good...full not just strips. The New England clam chowder was an 8 out 10 and served with a hot fresh roll. Good flavor and better than most. My waitress was engaged and friendly. Not so much for the hostess/greeter who was very unfriendly when I approached her for a table. The prices also are a little high...these two reason kept me from giving a 5 star rating. Wou.ld I come back again, probably if in the area

I've been looking for a nice family style restaurant preferably on or near the water to have lobster, year round. I believe just after one visit to the Crow's Nest this might be that restaurant! We enjoyed a lobster lunch on a Monday recently with my brother from out of town. The service was wonderful! The lobster - perfect. Plenty choices of sides. I never eat corn on the cob that accompanies the lobster and here I ordered the broccoli and rice as my sides and I ate them both. The steamers were not sandy and cooked in a garlic, white wine broth. I also tried the red clam chowder and enjoyed it. The white was good as well! The view is of a marina, ducks swimming near the boats all and all a very pleasant area. Parking is a private lot. We ate in the large dinning room, nautical was the theme from pictures of boats to shell garland placed in plants. I did notice a large bar area off to the left as we entered the dinning room, I will check that out next time.

Great reasonably priced NE seafood!! Portion sizes were enough for 2, so share if you'd like - great atmosphere

A very nice place to dine, the view overlooking the Marina is wonderful, the food is delicious... Get the boiled Lobster you'll love it! The Clam Chowder (white) is really good and the desserts are wonderful, service was great (even when they were very busy) and the server was friendly as well as the staff... We really enjoyed our dining experience, we'll be back for more!

I recently took my family to dine at the Crows Nest for a small celebration. I made a reservation since I have heard they typically have a wait. I reccommend making a reservation since the restaurant was very full with quite a line by the time we were finished dining. The decor is an old New England charming. The floors are crooked and the dining room has a fireplace with round tables overlooking the water. There are smaller rooms with tables as well. We were seated right away on our arrival. Our food was very good I had one of the seafood specials which was perfect. Overall our service was OK, we did have to ask a couple of times for things, but we did eventually get what we needed. They did make some substitutions without any issues, which is always greatly appreciated. Overall the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I will definately go back and would reccommend the Crow's Nest.

Came up from the NY/CT border for a conference , everyone local said "go to the crows nest" for seafood. We found it authentic , very friendly , and refreshing. The food was also generous, flavorful and reasonable. I had the seafood sauté which had 4 lobster claws , shrimp scallops, clams in a Manhattan style broth. All the staff were super friendly. If you like supporting the great local spots than this one is for you!

I am beside myself with the incredibly bad service that my group of 11 received at this establishment tonight! We arrived by boat at 8:15pm and put in our names and were told that there was a 40 minute wait (which was fine with us). As we walked by the hostess stand to go to the bar we heard the hostess talking about us. We calmly payed no attention to the negativity that was being spewed and continued to the bar to get cocktails and wait until our table was ready. As we waited for the bartender to take our order ( which she never did) she finally came over to us and asked us to move out of the way so that she could seat a man who I can safely assume was a "regular" at the bar where we were standing. We were so appalled that we collectively decided to take our business elsewhere. When we went to the hostess to cancel our reservation, she laughed. The whole experience was incredibly rude and offensive.

Had great clam chowder, clam cakes and steamers. Went with a large group and we all enjoyed ourselves.

The Crows Nest is, and has been, one of my favorite restaurants for years. The food here is always excellent. They have a great variety of seafood and other American and Italian style dishes. My favorite dish is the lobster roll. It is a roll that is filled over the top with delicious lobster. Anyone ordering it will not be disappointed with the large pieces of lobster, not just shred and lettuce. My wife often orders the ahi tuna and loves it, especially with the broccoli au gratin as a side. Always cooked perfectly. The service here is also great. Once you start heading there often, and you'll want to, they will know your names! They are quick and always delightful.

Good seafood and a great value. Tw clam chowder is outstanding as are the fried seafood dishes . This place gets very busy on the weekend so make sure you phone ahead to get on the list. The only thing I can really knock on this place is their inability to attract a younger crowd. I always feel like I am the youngest person in the place. If you have an AARP car you will feel right at home.

This is why I like yelp... I'm in warwick for the day, right before a wedding, and looking for a good but not too expensive seafood place for lunch. Crow's Nest pops up, I go with a small group, and we have a good meal for relatively cheap. Lobster rolls were good, but the clam chowder was awesome. Our server was great, as well.

We were looking for a seafood restaurant and found an ad for this place in our hotel's info book. We never would have found this place since it's set off the main road so advertising pays off! What a great place and with pretty reasonable prices for seafood! Everything we had was delicious but I really enjoyed the lobster roll and the Manhattan clam chowder. Both tasted so fresh and homemade. The server was knowledgeable and professional. The decor was casual nautical. If you're in the area be sure to find this place!

Went today for lunch. Busy but not overcrowded. Had the lobster roll which was incredible! Stuffed with great lobster meat, little if any mayo and filler...one of the best I've had in RI. Market price was $16.50 and worth every bite. If they would improve upon the fries which were pretty tasteless, it would be a real home run!

Extremely hit or miss. I usually make it a point to avoid restaurants on holidays, this Labor Day was an exception. Had a small family gathering. I appreciate people working on holidays-especially Labor Day, which is why I didn't rate 1 star. I had the baked stuffed lobster special-the most expensive thing on the menu, and wow, what a disappointment. The lobster was overdone and rubbery. The stuffing was way too dense with the small scallops and shrimp withered and hard. I pictured it trussed up and ready to go in the broiler for hours, not fresh at all, and certainly not worth the $26.99 price tag. I chose mashed potatoes and gravy, and creamed spinach for the sides. The only thing I can think is that these foods might be pureed and fed through a G tube to a nursing home resident. Yes, they were THAT bland. The red chowder was ok, the dinner rolls were small bricks that may or may not have been microwaved. Let me again state that I appreciate service on holidays. That being said, I was disheartened to be greeted and treated very sourly by the hostess and our server. It was apathy bordering on contempt. This treatment was brought to a high contrast when some regulars who came in were served warmly and enthusiastically. I have some good memories of coming here with my family in the past, too bad there won't be any new memories to be made here.
