Stopped there for lunch on my way to TF Green airport. It was early and they had just opened so no one was in the restaurant. I ordered a chicken panini and was told it would be up quick, about 10 minutes. I didn't bother to tell my server that I was in a bit of a rush due to my upcoming flight. It took quite a bit longer than 10 minutes to get my order and I was getting anxious that I would have to leave without eating. At last it arrived. I commented to the server that it took quite a while and that I was now rushed to catch a flight. She apologized and sent the manager over who also apologized and gave me the lunch for free! I wasn't expecting that but it was quite nice so kudos to Bertucci's for doing the right thing.

Four of us (yeah, yeah, we travel in fours this week) stopped in for lunch today and for three of us, it was our first time eating at this chain. Great menu. Lots of choices--a lunch menu is available, a pizza menu and the main menu. I selected the Roasted Eggplant Panini (7.99). All lunch orders come with a free, all you can eat salad. After all of our orders were placed, a wire cone-shaped basket of rolls was brought to the table, along with olive oil that had some red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese and garlic in it. The combination of the rolls and that dipping oil was AMAZING. When it came down to the last roll, I spoke up among the three guys and told them not to touch it. I wanted it! My panini was good; just enough eggplant (well, ok, you can never have enough eggplant), almost a little too much cheese, but the pomodoro sauce in a cup was pretty good. Overall, my food was good, and I would come back again. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but I was content and didn't have anything negative to say about the food or the place. Be careful about turning into the correct driveway, otherwise you could end up turning into the parking garage of the airport.

I was here for a late lunch after having attended a school sports event down this way. We gave the child athlete a choice of places to eat and she chose Bertucci's. What can I say, the chain is a favorite of the kids. This one is right next to T.F.Green. On the plus side, the restaurant and facility is clean, as they all are, and as was the service. The drinks and the salad came out quickly, and the entrees came out nice piping hot. On the downside, the first basket of rolls tasted as if they were reheated several times - the crust was very hard. On the dessert side, they only had one flavor of gelato available out of the usual three, and I didn't quite like the 5-layer chocolate cake (even my son didn't finish it) and the strawberries and cream didn't taste fresh. The coffee was fine, but was served lukewarm.

My boss was leaving from PVD and wanted to meet for lunch prior to his departure. We tried to go to Hooters but according to their sign, they are closed due to snow damage....really? Either way, we entered Bertucci's and were quickly greeted and seated. The waiter was competent and pleasant. He quickly took our drink and food order. We had soup in front of us within 2 miniutes (which was really good....italian wedding). Our sandwiches were delivered shortly thereafter. Our drinks were never empty and the waiter's presence was not too much or too little. Not a bad spot.

The bread they give you initially is a warm roll that can be dipped in olive oil, cheese, red pepper. The salad was served on an ice cold plate with fresh greens. Both were great. I am not a big chain restaurant fan but this entire meal and the service was great! Initially I had ordered the veggie pizza on multigrain dough, substituting the spicy cherry peppers for regular peppers. The waitress came over with everyone's food and told me they made an error and had ommitted the cherry peppers and made the pizza on white dough. She stated that they put the correct pizza in the oven but wanted me to be able to eat with everyone else until it was ready if I wanted. I thought this was great! I ate a slice while waiting then took the entire pizza home since I had a new one. I thought this type of service was great and the pizza was so flavorful! If you like the thin crust brick oven pizza, this is one of the best and combining this with the bread and salad you can't go wrong. For those of you with kids, they have a kids eat free on Wednesday nights too!

My husband and I shared a margarita pizza and really enjoyed our bread and dip that came out beforehand as well as the pizza. Casual enough while still feeling like a fun date night and the fresh made breads and doughs make for a delicious night out.

Always great pizza and service. If your looking for some brick oven pizza, a good antipasto, and some sweet watermelon iced tea, this is the place to go!

I love their wood grilled goodness in creating their yummy pizza pies when they get it right...but golly...The food here is just NOT consistent. I've been here three times in the past month and the pizza had been too crispy, too underdone and once...Just right. No manager table visit for either misstep. Not looking for a comp but I think it's nice when the person in charge comes over to check that everything was fixed. At $12 for a small pizza, there are so many options out there at other joints who do a similar job. The kids love it here because they get a blob of bread dough to play with. The rolls are so tasty. ..Hot and crusty outta the wood oven. Service is meh. This one is out of the rotation. At least for now.

Based on the one and only time I've gone to Bertucci's, the food was slightly above average but I thought that my service was lacking a bit. I went during the daytime around 3pm on a Monday so there wasn't too much happening inside. After my service and noticing other servers, I realized there must be a reason why these people were on the day shift. Like I said, though, the food I ordered was decent for what it was... a trio sampler plate of their more popular items, I'm sure.

the waitress was very stuck up. i just wanted something to go since i don't feel like eating by myself in a restaurant. she told me that they don't do to go orders despite there's a to go order menu. me no like.

Decent Italian chain restaurant on the east coast. It is kind of like an upscale Olive Garden, kind of. Amazing rolls. Just average Italian fare. Service is good, and it's a good place for groups.

A bright light in an otherwise dreary area. My husband and I were considering buying property in the area (but later found it to be too small-town for our tastes). The weather was lousy when we visited, but at the end of the driveway to our hotel was Bertucci's. Pizza was not entirely authentic but close. Best of all, the rolls.... ahhhh, heaven. Desserts were quite good, too -- very much Italian style. Crunchy tartufo outer coating. Mmmmmmmm. We liked it so much (and unfortunately, there's not one near us in Seattle) that we had to trek out to the one near my mother-in-law's house when we last visited Long Island. Good stuff to be had there, too! And a wine conniosseur-friend was not disappointed with the selection.

Meh, I've definitely had better. I ordered a new menu item, Jambalaya Pasta. The sauce was ok, shrimp, chicken and sausage good, but the pasta was the worse I've ever had. Tasted like it was homemade but not cooked properly. Had a weird consistency . I couldn't eat it. Even my 4 year old grandson sent back his runny Mac & Cheese. Now that says something. Their rolls were good. Waitress was nice, but slow. Food took way too long to come out. This is the second time I've come here with family. Not a fan. The bill for 3 adults and 2 small kids came to $120 with tip. So not worth that. My advice. Buy a pound of pasta, a jar of sauce and cook at home. $5 you can feed your whole family.

Came here after a poor experience down the street (I was still hungry). The bartender and hostess was awesome. Food was pretty good!

  • Charlie H.

This place as a concept confuses me. They are of higher quality than an Olive Garden but not of a high enough quality to be more than casual sit down. The food is good but the service is slow. Right next to PVD airport which is convenient. Worth it if you are traveling though and do not have a car, otherwise better choices are available.

Went in for a quick dinner. Seated promptly at requested booth. Quick and friendly service. Their warm rolls and olive oil are awesome! I had Caesar salad with chicken and my date had a cheese pizza. Both were extremely delicious. Definitely will return to try other types of pizza.

We ordered several different dishes. All were very good (veggies, soup, salad), except the side order of pasta. The pasta took typical 10-12 minutes to deliver. My wife and I assumed that Bertuccis would cook the pasta to order, as that is the norm in the industry and as it took 10-12 minutes to deliver. Yet, some of the pasta on the plate were dry and hard and some were fresh and chewy. We concluded that Bertuccis is either: - cooking the pasta and keeping it under the heat lamps for hours until someone orders or - serving leftover pasta from the other customers. Another issue: At the bottom of my receipt (from the last night's dinner), it states that " Receive a special $5 offer to use on your next visit". I filled out the survey form and I received an e-mail. The coupon I received in the e-mail states that I need to spend $25 to use this $5 off. This is truly misleading and illegal. It is yet another bait and switch program by Bertuccis.

Good pizza along with the entrees, I like the dough to go, inexpensive all rolled out in a pizza box ready to go then I make my own at home and they give you as many fresh rolls as you want and seasoned olive oil for free every time.

  • Brian O.

Great pizza for a chain. Fresh ingredients, great tomato sauce, doesn't give you heart burn or drowned in salt like most places do. I love the margarita pizza and my 6 year old step son loved the fried mozzarella appetizer . Service was professional and personable. Overall a good experience, definitely put it on your pizza bucket list!

I will never go here again. Once we were seated we put in our drink order and noticed about 50 fruit flies flying around our table!! It was absolutely disgusting!! Once letting our server know she moved us across the restaurant into the back.. As We were sitting at our new table I noticed on the wall there were about 10 fruit flies smushed into the wall.. We asked for a food to go, The server never apologize for the inconvenience and no manager ever came over to apologize. Still paid for my $60 bill and ate at home. And on top of that the food wasn't even that great. I was so aggravated I ended up emailing the corporate office. I received an email back with just an apology no compensation. I highly recommend not eating here, If you're in the area go check out dohertys.

Place has decent food. I always order online and pick it up since I'm in a hotel and do not want to eat alone. Its always been ready on time and everyone has been friendly. Tonight though I had to wait 15 mins past the time it was supposed to be ready, carry out girl seem very flustered, never said anything to me in those 15 mins about why I was still waiting. It didn't look busy and I just waited patiently and didn't say anything. I watched them put my food there, she was on the phone. Someone came to help to a call and than went back to whatever she was doing. She than bagged some other peoples food and ran around waiting for my small salad. So my hot food waited around for a salad. She apologized and I left. The salad was better than the food this time.

We love this place! It's one of our favorite places to dine with the kids. If you have small children you know it can be very difficult to go out to eat with them. We rarely have problems here - the crayons and plat dough keep them busy. They love the food, especially the bread that comes before the meal. My husband and I also really like the food. We are suckers for the all-you-can-eat salad that comes with the lunch menu. It reminds me of the Olive Garden but at least the food at Bertucci's is edible. We usually stick with the basics - pizza, panini or the simple pasta dishes (rigatoni abruzzi, ravioli or alfredo). These are always really good but I have learned not to order any of the seasonal specials or more elaborate offerings, it's usually disappointing. I think Bertucci's deserves 4 stars because the things they do well (pizza and pasta) - they do really well. It's a great place to go with the kids and I have found the service to be consistently good. We also do takeout often because you get the bread and the salad with the lunch specials - good value for a healthy takeout option.

I was really impressed. I hadn't been here in years. So delicious! We had bread, salad, and pizza but the menu had a wide variety of choices. Salad and bread are much better than OG's. This location has been around since I was a kid roller skating every friday night at Sholes. I think the dining room flooring has been too... I think it's time you replaced that floor... (dirty stained floor) Keep the revolving door though! :) Food and Service were Outstanding! Thank you!

  • Tristan C.

The service was good. Sat in the bar area and the bartender was cool. The rolls and salad were good. The bacon pesto flatbread was pretty good. The only aspect of the dinner that lead me to the 3 stars was the spaghetti w/meatballs and Bolognese sauce. There wasn't enough sauce and the meatballs were a tad burnt. Tbe portion sizes were great but the entree left a bit to be desired

I will admit bias from the start, as I am not a fan of thin-crusted, brick-oven pizza. The crust is typically served with the all panache of a sheet of cardboard, featuring black singe marks around the edges, which I assume are there to provide the flavor. That said, I do give high marks to Bertucci's Silano Pizza -- even if it does come out of a brick oven. Though I still don't like the crust, it's a unique dish that includes big chunks of chicken and fresh broccoli. Couple that with a surprisingly good side Caesar salad and a Sam Adams, as I did last night, and you can still enjoy a reasonably priced, tasty meal whether you are a fan of Bertucci's signature offerings or not.

Food here is good. The pizza also good. But, but, but, their service absolutely stinks. Slow, slow, slow, excuses alł the time. Have been numerous times because food is good, but the service is just so irritating. They have some all you can eat salads and soups, but you have to buy a whistle to get the staff attention when you get one of these all you can eats.

  • Edward H.

Food is good here. They have a decent sized lunch menu. All lunch menu items comes with all-you-can-eat salad and the lunch sandwiches come with a bowl of soup. The bowl is more like a dixie cup but the soups are tasty. The salad is excellent. When I come here with the kids, they give the kids get play-dough...literally; fresh pizza dough that the kids can play with. Pretty unique. Great spot for lunch with friends, coworkers, and family. I'm a fan.

One of our favorite places to go unwind and have a good meal. LOVE the bread an olive oil! Food is always consistent and good. Like how the menu rotates seasonally although sometimes I miss an old favorite.

I have always liked Bertucci's, but didn't have a good lunch at this location. My friend and I have been there twice hoping for a quick, inexpensive lunch. The first time we had the unlimited salad with a panini. While the sandwich was fine, the salad was wilted and drenched in Italian dressing. It was obvious that it sat with the dressing on for a while before we got it. We decided to try again today. We split a Farmhouse salad and a pizza. The salad was sub-par... warm, wilted lettuce, wrinkled (old?) black olives, pepperoni & fresh mozzarella. The pepperoni pizza was very greasy and had an odd smell. Made me think that the pepperoni was not fresh. ended up spending nearly $30 for a bad lunch. We have taken them off our list.

This place is ok. good sauce but the cheese needs improvement. I had great service and its good for a quick stop if your near the airport. I mean your in providence ri, not naples italy. that being said its more of a 3 star if you haven't traveled to italy and experienced real pizza.

My Bf and I typically hate Italian Fare in the States, it is cheap, easy, overpriced food. We avoid it like the plague at home and whilst traveling. So when we arrived at out hotel room on Sunday, famished, we committed the cardinal sin and ordered from this place- because we were so hungry! We were both awe struck and very pleasantly surprised. Our lunch salad came with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette, on the side of course. We also got their arugula and watermelon salad. WOW! So delectably fresh, we could have had it for dessert. I appreciate them subbing pasta for green beans too! Their side vegetable dish was simple, though perfect, the eggplant could have been cooked better, but was a solid 3 stars, 4 for the green bean substitution. Their pizza had the unfeigned fakeness that I find most places outside of NY to have, but goodness it was tasty. We could have been (and were) uber hungry, but thoroughly enjoyed our meal! I did not appreciate the $8.50 charge for delivery, uh we were down the street, there was a shared parking space between our hotel and this joint. Wish they would have told us, when we ordered.

Located in an especially dreary, ill-planned stretch of Post Road in Warwick, just north of the airport, Bertucci's nonetheless turned out to be a congenial spot for lunch. My companion was from the southern part of the state, and I from Providence, so settling on this place was a natural. (It's a good thing he knew the restaurant's location: it's buried beside the highway , so poorly advertised that you could drive right by.) At the noon hour the vibe was cheerful, the music a tad loud in the cavernous, dark dining room. Shortly, our waitperson was at the table, personable and agreeable to taking our orders, meanwhile bearing a basket of warm rolls and a small dish of spicy oil. (We were well cared for: the rolls and oil -- and our beverages -- were replenished automatically as they dwindled.) We shopped the good sized, multi-colored, national-chain, fastish-food sort of menu and settled on two luncheon specials, rigatoni Abruzzi (red sauce with sausage and peppers) and rigatoni with broccoli and chicken in a light cream sauce. Flavor was good, size sufficient but not overwhelming (a compliment in these days of out-sized portions!) and a satisfying follow-up to a bowl of all-you-can-eat tossed salad, fresh and washed in a light, slightly sweet dressing. We shared a chocolate mousse-like dessert. The food, frankly, was nothing to write home about, though good value, diversely well-flavored and served by a pro who knew the menu and how to keep things moving, jesting now and then but otherwise efficiently ferrying the meal between the kitchen and her guests. I'll do it again, as I've done it before, largely for convenience but also anticipating another low-key, filling lunch.

Pizza and pasta A good pizza/ Italian restaurant. I'm not sure how "authentic" the food is but it certainly is good. The eggplant parma was exceptional and serving size was adequate especially with the pasta dish served with it. The real surprise was the bread. It was hot and soft and really completed the meal. If you want real Italian go up to Providence but for a quick and convenient place at a good price and service Bertucci's is worth a visit.

I'm not sure what was worst. I'll let you decide. Our waitress was snooty to say to least. I'm not sure why. I was just trying to get something to eat before hoping on my flight. The oil is served 10 min before the cold hard bread is. I ordered a Sofia : White pizza with mozarella, roasted artichoke spread, sausage and fresh thyme topped with shaved cheese. My water with lemon and 2 equals had more flavor than this pizza. Lastly I had to ask the waitress to fill my water. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Save your money.

I have always felt a little guilty for enjoying this Italian chain restaurant much more then many of the local area options. The bottom line is their food is superior. They have perfect hot rolls, creative & modern Italian inspired recipes, and some somewhat healthy & light cuisine. Our last experience was a little lackluster: First, no one greeted us after being sat for what felt like too-long (it was not busy at all)... so I interrupted a passing server and asked her if she'd be our waitress. She said she wasn't our server, but that she could take care of us. She ended up being a great server, and I am glad that she was able to take our table. Still, I wish someone had acknowledged us a bit sooner. Next, we had ordered the amazingly delicious watermelon mint salad. Wow, what out-of-this-world flavor! It was more then disappointing to discover something in our salad that shouldn't have been there. In a perfect world, hair would never end up in food- but let's be realistic- it happens, almost everywhere. More then forgivable. The chef/manager came by our table and offered an apology and a new salad (we passed). Finally, the rest of our meal was delicious. The food came out in a timely fashion and the service remained top-notch. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy our conversation, because someone was vacuuming on the upper-level for almost the entire duration of our meal. Really guys? You can do better then that! I will continue to go to Bertucci's because I have been for years. As stated earlier, the food is always great. Hopefully our next experience will be a bit smoother and we can bump our rating to a four!!

For some reason this place makes me hate myself slightly less than Olive Garden. The rolls are great, but the menu overhaul is sort of strange. I always get the same rigatoni dish I could make at home myself, but it's consistently good. Sangria is ok, definitely not worth the price.

Bertucci's always gets overlooked as a pizza spot. I know its a chain restaurant, but if you are looking for tasty, thin crust pizza with delicous toppings, than there is not a better place in RI, in my opinion. Granted, RI isn't the pizza mecca of the world, in fact, its hard to get a really good slice around here, but Bertucci's does it every time. I don't know anyone who doesn't like their pie! So, on my most recent visit, we started with ceasar salad and the fried mozzarella appetizer. Both were tasty and well portioned. The ceasar won't blow you away, but for an inexpensive chain restaurant, its pretty good. The fried mozz was delicious and came with chopped fresh basil and a light marinara. A good start! Almost forgot to mention the warm rolls served with garlic herb olive oil. No wonder we couldn't finish our pizza! We followed up with the sporkie with caramelized onions. So, so good with crisp crust and great sauce. Lots of suasage and fresh ricotta cheese. Even my husband only had two pieces,it was so filling! We took 1/2 the pie home and are glad to have leftovers for lunch. Service was average, nothing to blow you away, but fairly prompt and very friendly. The only thing that was lacking was the red wine sangira. Too sweet and not enough wine, not to mention no fruit. Maybe that's just me, though... Overall, a great little spot for a weeknight meal when its too darn hot to cook or you are just craving a good slice of pizza.

Recently went here for dinner when my wife's flight had an unexpected 2 hour delay. We had too much time for wendys and not enough for legal so we ended up at the bertucci on post road in the shadow of the airport. I will say that we stop at bertucci on road trips a lot because the free warm rolls and pizza are dependable, but this trip just wasnt up to the usual par of the chain. We split a large caesar salad and whole wheat pizza off the special menu. The salad was your average chain salad, but way too much dressing and the lettuce did not seem all that fresh or crunchy (it was worse than your average chain). The pizza arrived quickly but seemed to lack any semblance of significant flavor. It also took us 5 min to flag someone to get us red pepper to try and make it better. The service was good at times and we felt ignored at others (see red pepper incident). All in all it was cheap and quick, but slightly below what we expected.

The pizza was good and the service was friendly and fast. We were there early in the afternoon and were literally the only occupied table. Makes it hard to gage what the place is actually like. I'm not opposed to eating there again, but I don't need to.

Its a chain.... I get it ....but the service and food lacked in all major areas. Upon walking in the hostess looked at my pregnant belly and my friend's non pregnant belly and said, "wow you are both expecting?!!!!" Um... you're half right there... now insert foot in mouth...... when i corrected her she did appear embarassed but still not very appropriate of her. We ordered an eggplant and spinach pizza. The salad and bread were pretty good. The pizza was bland and oily at best. It lacked flavor. As I took a bite into my second slice...the server came to our table and started clearing plates.......um........!!!! I have to say it- her name according to our check was Kim S. Kim S. cleared plates and then came back as I was still chewing (second slice in my hand) and asked if we wanted a box. Um....I guess she felt like it was time to end our dining experience. If I cared enough about the restaurant or ever felt as though I may return, I would say to the manager- your staff need some development in the area of basic customer service skills.

Awesome pizza! Came here tonight after returning from a week in Florida.. Its located right by the airport. We split the pizza verde... Pizza with fresh mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto and balsamic vinegerette. We all agreed it was one of the best meals we had all week and it was just meant for a quick bite after our plane ride. Our waitress was great. A+!

Wow I cannot believe the lackluster reviews. Now granted I have only dined inside the restaurant a few times, but I have never had a bad experience. Bertucci's is one of those restaurants I like to order takeout from. I use to live in Southern Massachusetts which mainly offers greek style pizza. I find greek style pizza to be inferior to Italian style in my humble opinion, so at the time I felt that Betucci's was beyond anything else offered in that area. Now I live in Rhode Island with a plethora of options for great pizza, but Bertucci's still hold a place in the rotation. I cannot say enough good things about their pizza, and the rolls are absolutely amazing too!

  • Ninja S.

These people serve edible food. A rather tasteless crust that seemed like wonderbread dough that has been kneaded too long. It seemed like a waste of decent mozzarella. If they specialize in these fairly tasteless pizzas, I can only imagine what the rest of their Italian menu tastes like. ..and my imagination is about as close as those items on the menu are likely to get to me.

Poor service but friendly. Meals were mediocre and a bit salty.

  • Samuel C.

Its a chain. Thumbs down. Its an Italian restaurant on the East Coast. Thumbs up. (Those of us who live in Texas and get truly mediocre Italian masquerading as Tuscany's gift to the world - find total liberation when we go to the East Coast and get REAL Italian food.) The pasta dishes I have had here totally trump anything I can get back home. Is this the best Italian food in Rhode Island? I doubt it --- But I'll take it. And happily too.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
