This is genuine awesomeness. Authentic and cool without being pretentious. Best brunch in a long time.

Crab beignet appetizers are out of this world! It's worth a trip just to try them. Lots of fresh crab meat. Love the complimentary homemade pita chips and hummus too. Sweet/hot cauliflower appetizer (yes!) delicious also. Burger, chicken and cuban sandwiches with fries are very generously sized and yummy. Be sure to get there for 5pm opening, or else be prepared to wait. Eli's is tiny. Only minus is that there is no air conditioning in summer, and the front door is usually left open, letting in hot air, noise, and alas, flies.

This place is charming, the staff is outstanding, and the food is amazing. Thank you for the great vegan dishes!

I have to give Eli's 5 stars simply for the food: It's unbelievable and is very clearly made with care and probably love, too. The only negative aspect of this restaurant is the fact that it's almost always jam-packed and the wait for a private table is pretty excruciating. It's honestly worth the wait for the delicious food but it's definitely a downer having to wait and watch everyone around you enjoy their food. Don't show up to this place ravenous because you're gonna be pretty annoyed by the wait. Anyway, there are so many options for vegans and vegetarians. It's one of the very few restaurants in Warren that offers such a delectable array of vegetarian options. Oh, and lastly, there's this annoying "policy" that restricts any party fewer than three people to sit in one of the round corner booths. The booths are tucked into the corners of the restaurant and offer a lot of comfort/privacy that couples would obviously enjoy. HOWEVER, my boyfriend and I have been stopped several times from sitting in a booth because it's "reserved for parties of three or more". I get it, there's not enough seating to accommodate large groups. It's just aggravating to arrive for lunch or dinner only to find that a booth/booths are free but you're disqualified because you're just TWO PEOPLE. Oh well.

Awesome!! Glad to see Warren is finally getting some great choices to dine out. The food here is awesome! Great specials too!! Loved the shrimp and grits. Tried a few salads and three entrees. All were perfect!

This is one of those places that you can't get enough of...the specials, everything made fresh, friendly staff and most of all, top notch service. Family owned and certainly one place that will be arround for a while. Great work!!

tried Eli's last week for the first time. Loved it. The crab beignets were delicious. The chickpea burger was very tasty and the sweet potato fries were especially delicious, they have some subtle spice on them that make them stand out (i usually prefer regular fries). The place also has a good atmosphere, it's loud but in a good way (lively I guess). I wish the red wine was just slightly chilled (ie not room temp when the temp is 80º). We will definitely be back.

AMAZING. Every part of this experience was amazing. Service is awesome and food never disappoints. All the ingredients are fresh and from local farms.

Cute place. Water served in Bell Mason jars. All local ingredients. We had the BLAT -bacon lettuce avocado tomato sandwich, the Cubano, the chicken pesto on flatbread, and a burger. Sweet potato fries were great as was the micro greens salad. Our server, Kate, was a great ambassador for the place, letting us know of choices and upcoming specials, including Brunch in weekends. After spending time in NYC recently, we are excited to return, as Brunch is a big thing there.

Yummy! The service was great and the food was interesting and delicious. Good need a tad bit of tweaking to be perfect.

My friend introduced me to this place. I had not read the reviews so this was an adventure for me. I ordered one of the specials, mexican torta. Our appetites grew as the aroma wafted our nostrils. Our food arrived quickly and it was love at first bite. The portion sizes are adequate. The presentation was flawless. The staff was friendly and attentive. The decor is homely. The place is small and can seat only a handful people at a time. I would recommend arriving early when they open as they fill up quickly. I am definitely going back.

I had brunch here with a friend and was pleasantly pleased. I had the pancakes with a side of bacon and egg. Probably one of the best brunches I ever had. Extra bonus points for having mimosas on the menu. It is quite small. We waited about 20 minutes to sit. But well worth the wait. I will be back.

If there were 6 stars, I would have bestowed them upon Chef Eli and his team. My boyfriend and I arrived Saturday, 2 PM and there was a wait so we put our name in and went into the little village to explore. When we returned, we scored two stools at the bar facing the open air kitchen. We chatted with the two chefs for recs. Foodie BF ordered pork carnitas and I ordered falafel flat bread. Both were quite simply sublime. We shared an ordered of locally grown corn fritters. I enjoyed two amazing mimosa and my dining partner had a locally brewed beer. We loved this spot. Can't wait to go back for Sunday brunch. Hats off to a great server. Oh, we didn't have room for dessert but it looked decadent! Very cool art on the walls, take a peak.

I went here in back in October when the restaurant was still relatively new and I was shocked to see how professional they had made it look inside as compared to what was in its place previously. There were so many delicious options with reasonable prices and the items that were available here I could not get anywhere else. The only thing I was not a fan of was the "community table" that they have in the center of the restaurant. If I am going out to dinner I would like to spend time with the people I arrive with and not have to worry about hearing strangers' conversations or them hearing mine. Otherwise, I would definitely return!

Great place! I've eaten here several times in the last few weeks. Really like the specials, gives more assortment and seasonality. Staff is friendly and attentive. I've brought another Foody friend and we both enjoyed our dinner. Also like how this gives locals a chance to taste different types of cuisines. Everyone seems to enjoy what they are doing and it comes through in the food. There is usually a wait and can be loud when busy.

I went to Eli's last night and was so impressed that I came back for lunch today. Fantastic selection of vegetarian and vegan food in a place that also feeds carnivores. I will be back again and again,

I know that every time I go to Eli's I'll get a meal that I enjoy. It's worth the price and time. I always feel good about the food I get and the people I'm supporting. I visited (shortly after my last review) and had the thai curry and the crab beignet. The curry was flavorful and complex. The crab beignets-OH SO GOOD. Definitely would recommend giving them a try if you enjoy seafood at all-Fried-but light, fresh crab, and delicious dipping sauce. I love Eli's.

So pleased that Eli took the time to answer my review. I have upgraded the rating to three stars, simply because I believe that Eli's really wants to get it right! We will definitely be back to give it another go! Cheers!

I've known chef Eli Dunn for many years, during which time I have come to deeply appreciate his talent for food and flavor. Through the many meals he has prepared for me, I have tasted his growth as a cook. This restaurant is a beautiful culmination of his career and certainly a shoot-for-the-stars high point, drawing inspiration from many areas of his life - the influence of his time at the Beehive Cafe and Three Rivers is evident - though you can now find references to his time spent down in New Orleans (red beans and rice, a pork sandwich modeled after a cochon de lait po' boy, and amazing savory beignets), and dishes designed to satisfy people with special diets (several vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.) The dining room is well designed and small making it cozy and intimate. With an open kitchen you feel like part of the whole production, and the staff is approachable and friendly. And the FOOD! Every bite is something to savor... Had the warm kale salad my first visit - with amazing wild mushrooms and Eli's homemade mustard. Saying that I could eat that salad every day for the rest of my life would absolutely not be a lie. He always whips up some inventive specials too - I tried the middle eastern spiced beef flatbread last week and I'm dreaming of it still. Stop in and check Eli's out! You will not be disappointed. One note : they are still brand new and the word is spreading quickly... If you can swing it I would recommend going at a slower time to have the optimal experience. Early or late lunch? Sunday dinner? Do it!

My husband and I went to Eli's one week after opening. SPOILER ALERT: WE LOVED IT. The atmosphere is cozy and cool at the same time. Great attention to detail. Nice lighting. LOVE the open kitchen and fresh flower on the table. Staff was very friendly. I did see a high chair in the restaurant, not too sure how kid-friendly it would be only because it's a small space, but the noise level and casualness would otherwise appear to be welcoming for a kiddo. Beer & wine list is short and compact but, offers exactly what we like so we were happy. I tried a new wine... the light & crisp or something. Tasty. Also, they are not afraid of pouring a nice full glass. Meal started with chips and hummus. Yes. SO tasty. I had the B.A.L.T. with fries, however they ran out of avocado. So waitress immediately came over and let me know and offered free dessert. Which was more than enough to compensate. The sandwich was divine and the fries were great, good crisp and saltiness without over doing either. Husband had the Kitchen burger and mixed greens. Some quotes from him are "How do they make a pile of lettuce taste so awesome?" Dressing was very tasty an not overwhelming. He liked the burger so much that he proceeded to eat it deconstructed because each part was just that good. Dessert was a mixed berry crisp & key lime pie. Both were OUTSTANDING. Fresh, not overly sweet. Lastly, they use a tablet for credit cards, so no wasting paper or crumpling your receipt to be lost in your purse. Needless to say we will be returning... again and again. In fact my main squeeze said "Why would we bother eating anywhere else?" Love the focus on local, fresh foods, which brought us in to try it out. And the wonderful experience and execution is what will bring us back for more.

I stumbled on this after a local ethnitician said check out this new place, opened by the former chef at The Beehive. I found fresh, real food on the menu that was creative and begged to have me try it all. I had the salad special; local baby lettuces with edible flowers, radish, bacon, egg and a light and delicate blue cheese dressing drizzled on, then I had a divine grilled cheese sandwich on their homemade brioche (a fav and they did it well), private stock cheddar and something called divine providence cheese, perhaps something like the Spanish manchego? The pickles were remarkable, beautiful and flavorful work cardamom I found out after asking. Yum! A bit noisy, you can hear conversations and mad chopping from the kitchen clearly, all the way to the front seat in the restaurant, which competes or adds to the interesting music and then of course the melee of happy and delighted customer conversations.

Great new spot. Went for lunch and were happily surprised to find a brunch menu. The food was great, service was great. Highly recommend.

Yum! I had the biscuits & gravy ....every component of the dish was excellent (base of white corn grits, topped by biscuits, then house-smoked tasso ham, and porcini gravy. Oink). Would have been a 5 except the ham was very fatty (I was able to eat less than half of it) and the place was too warm inside and no AC. Oh yeah, and a very tasty cold-brew iced coffee. I'll absolutely be back.

Beautiful and delicious. What a great gift to the Town. Had the special chicken tacos and the little ones split the grilled cheese. Every bite was gone.

My fiancé took me here for dinner for my birthday and everything was perfect. It was on a Wednesday night around 5:30. The hostess was very nice and we had our choice of pretty much anywhere to sit. Cozy interior, wine was good, they brought out chips and hummus - everything made in house, which were great. We got the sweet chili cauliflower for an appetizer. It was so good- the kind of thing you think you can go home and try to make, but you will fail. I had the yellow Thai curry and my fiancé had the falafel. Both were AMAZING. Great flavors and everything was cooked to perfection. They also timed the appetizers and meals very well. It was really pretty perfect! We will definitely be back to try the other menu items.

This place is AMAZING. I haven't been this excited for a new restaurant in a while! The menu is brimming with culinary creativity and mouthwatering options. Eli's menu festures Southern Comfort food with global influence. The man next to me literally lucked his bowl of shrimp and grits.the clean raving that they were the perfect blend of both salty and sweet. His wife adored her southern sampler. When it came time to order I asked the chef for his suggestion....and he recommended the pork special. The meat was delicious, but let's talk about the sides for a second...my taste buds are now addicted. I enjoyed A root hash that rocked my world and collard greens and spicy cauliflower that made any other vegetable I will ever eat seem like a waste of time and stomach space. The half and half is also a perfect refreshing beverage! I really recommend trying this place out!

We just had the best egg sandwich ever! Eli's is incredible! Fresh mimosas and fresh amazing food. If you live in the area or are passing thru stop by as you will not be disappointed!

  • Jean F.

Delicious farm to table menu and cozy setting, Eli's is onto something! The space isn't huge and they have a handful or so tables along with a bar overlooking into the kitchen and a large 'community table' if you don't mind others joining. The selection was awesome, the food was delicious and our waiter was very nice...but we were a little bummed that when we sat down (just after 7) we were told about the specials and few things that were already sold out....nevrmind dessert, that was also sold out by the time we finished eating dinner as well. Eli's is new and I'm sure they'll work out a few kinks but the food is amazing and I can't wait to go back again in a few months.

Just tried this place. That appetizers were amazing. I had the meatloaf, it was subpar. Tasted like a sausage. And the mashed potatoes were tasteless. Everyone else at my table thought there food was great and everything else i tasted was delicious. Just avoid the meatloaf.

Delicious and innovative recipes. We had the dal burger and brisket sliders and the cauliflower app. Everything was excellent!!! The cauliflower is to die for! Could eat it everyday- the homemade sweet chill Sauce with super fresh herbs. YUM!! Reasonably priced and super fresh ingredients. Worth a trip from provi!!

Can't say have had better food in the east bay...just fantastic food, service not quite as good (took 30 mins to get our apps and it wasn't very busy). Loved the crab and dill beignets and the chicken panini my daughter had was super flavorful with some super fresh greens. Incredible flavor and texture in the perfectly executed warm mushroom and kale salad. A lot of thought went into their eclectic menu. The pork shoulder and veggie burger were both hearty and flavorful on our last visit. Lots of healthy options as welll as burgers and New Orleans inspired dishes ( had a tasso ham sandwich on a homemade biscuit with marque choux and whole grain mustard that was darn good) . Sweet potato fries were thebomb.com .

Loved this place. Stopped in for lunch recently. It's small inside and all tables were full so we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Our server was awesome. I think her name was Holly? Very friendly and attentive. Everyone was super nice in fact - hostess, chefs, other waitress. We ordered a few sandwiches, Cuban and Falafel. Both were great and the sweet potato fries rocked. I can't wait to go back to try breakfast and dinner! The artwork they have is for sale. We bought a cool wooden anchor made from recycled pallets. Check this place out!

We go to Louisiana at least once per year. What a treat to have Chef Eli turn out high quality Southern inspired dishes right here on the East Bay. The biggest problem this place will have will be moving to a bigger local. This place will be hard to stay away from!

Ok so I really wanted to like this place -- I heard great things about the owner through the grapevine and was excited to try a new place in Warren, especially since other people reviewed it so highly. Let me just highlight my experience: I went for lunch with my boyfriend around 11:15 am... well before the lunch crowd hit the restaurant. We were seated quickly, but when we put in our order, we had to wait 30 minutes for our food! There were not even that many people in the restaurant, at least two cooks in the kitchen (open kitchen let us see that), and our orders were grilled cheese and chicken sausage sandwiches respectively. Let's just say that the wait and lack of attention given by the waitress to even get more water was a turn-off in itself. Now the food: I don't know if I was already a little upset by the wait, but I felt that the grilled cheese was a little run-of-the mill for $8 (I added tomato). The mixed greens were plentiful and had a good light dressing on them, but again, for $8, I felt like the grilled cheese could have had a little more "wow". My boyfriend commented that he felt like the sandwich was alright, but nothing to make him want to come back again for (and a little pricey). On the positive side, the restaurant is cutely decorated and has a small town feel that I liked. However, the service leaves something to be desired. As an additional data point, my boyfriend's grandparents tried to go there and had called 2 hours beforehand to ask about seating, but the hostess did not reserve a table or call them (when she said she would) if a table opened up, so they both ended up having to eat somewhere else (they are 90 years old, so the hostess could have definitely been a little more accommodating). Unfortunately, I do not think I will be coming here again.

One of my favorite date night dinners this past fall. I took some good friends out a week later, I loved it so much. Incredible food, a warm, casual but modern setting, super friendly staff. The menu was fantastic as well. Polished cuisine but with a comfort food presentation. Sat near the owner's wife who was just lovely. Would go back more often if it weren't a drive for us! Worth the drive to check out or for a special occasion.

Had an amazing dinner at Eli's Kitchen tonight. One of the best in the East Bay for sure. We got the cauliflower appetizer, hush puppies appetizer, shrimp and grits and risotto. All amazing. Great quality, tons of flavor. Love the southern influence. If you want a really great meal, go to Eli's!!!

First the bad: It was hot in the restaurant. The open kitchen and the warmer than seasonal weather combined for a WARM night in the restaurant. That is the sum total of the negatives. The positives: The food The service The ambiance. Situated on a side street in a simple and small store front is a true gem. This is a small place. Ten tables or so. Total seating maybe twenty-five. The kitchen staff is the owner/chef and the sous chef. They are in plain sight as they go about their tasks and the open kitchen appears immaculately clean. The restaurant as a whole was comfortable and relaxed in appearance and feel. The wait staff was pleasant and seemed to know the menu. Our server, Jeff, was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The entire staff pitched to keep water glasses full and iced coffee and lemonade in fresh supply. The food? WOW. I started my meal with the Falafel appetizer, called a "small dish". Served with a yogurt-dill sauce, the falafel was delicious without the oily nature often a curse with falafel. It was crisp on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The sauce was tasty but not particularly memorable. The falafel is good enough to stand on its own without the sauce but the sauce certainly did not detract. My friends had the biscuits and maple butter to start their meal. I did not sample it but it met with unanimous approbation among the others at the table. My main dish with the Chana Dal vegetarian burger with cheese, pickled red onions and mango on a fresh baked bun. Served with bread and butter pickles and sweet potato fries, it was a filling meal and quite delicious. Chana is chickpeas and dal is lentil. The mixture had a nice texture and the burger had a good crisp to the outside from time on the flat top I suspect. The combination of the sweet mango, the tart/sweet of the pickled onion with the flavors and texture of the burger itself made for a truly memorable "veggie burger". The sweet potato fries were very tasty. My friend to the right of me had what she described as the best Shrimp and Grits she has ever had. The shrimp were large and the serving of grits quite ample. Her boyfriend had the Red Beans and Rice and, though he described it as a little spicy for him, he left nothing on the plate. My friend seated to my left had the Cajun roasted 4-town farm butternut squash over White Corn Grits with Pickled Corn Relish & Pea Greens. He also described it in glowing terms and cleaned the plate. I and one other had the Apple and Blackberry upside down cake with Maple Crème Fraiche for our desserts and the other two members of our party had the brioche bread pudding with Coffee Crème Anglaise. My dessert was excellent. Flavorful, moist, delicious in every way. I have never been a bread pudding fan but after sampling my friends dessert I could become a bread pudding devote'. Top to bottom the meal was excellent, to the point that one of our group went to the open kitchen and congratulated the chef/owner on a job extraordinarily done. Are there issues? As mentioned it was very hot in there. It is a very small place and in season on a Friday or Saturday I can imagine the wait for a table will be very long. We arrived about 6:30 and on a Sunday night we waited ten minutes for a table. Not a big deal. I would have waited an hour if I knew this dinner awaited me (and I am notorious for my hatred of wait on line). These are minor concerns. I am sure they will figure out how to cool the place by next summer and the people will learn they are well rewarded for their wait. The wait staff was good. They were busy but attentive and everyone with whom we interacted was friendly and helpful. This is now on my MUST do list for trips to Rhode Island.

Eli's is phenomenal!!! I have been several times and have yet to be disappointed. All of the ingredients are locally sourced, so the quality and freshness are top notch. I have had the cauliflower small plate, the falafel, and the chana dal burger, all of which are exceptional. Their hazelnut banana cream pie topped with homemade whipped cream is also incredibly delicious! Comfy atmosphere and convenient location right in downtown Warren. Head to Eli's maybe a bit before or a bit after the dinner/lunch rushes because this place gets pretty jammed...but if you encounter a wait, the menu and experience is well worth it!

Came here on a Saturday night and we were so lucky that there was no wait!! Soon after we got seated, the place filled up and parties started to queue up for tables. We got seated by the front and 5 ppl at the table was perfect. The lamp shade was an adorable repurposed colander. The complementary hummus and home made pita was delicious! They gave us enough so that we each got 2 pieces. Delicious fresh hummus is more fragrant than the grocery store mass-produced version but less sodium which is totally fine. BF and I got 3 things to share. We got the sweet chili cauliflower with fried garlic shallots and herbs $6 and Red beans and rice with heirloom kidney beans, andouiille sausage, house-smoked tasso ham, and jasmine rice $8 as apps. The cauliflower is quite sweet and not too spicy but it balances out very well with the beans and rice which is on the salty side. People who like savory food will prefer rice and beans but the cauliflower was very yummy with soft yet hard consistency and feels oh so healthy. The rice and beans was just really good. i can eat a whole bowl of it and call it a meal. For entree we shared a Eli's Kitchen Burger which was grassfed beef with smoked bacon, divine providence cheese, romaine, tomato, red onion, house sauce on a grilled sesame brioche bun $12. This was also pretty yummy and came with fries (potato or sweet potato are the same price!). The pickles were supposedly house-made and were on the sweet side but pretty good even to me who usually chuck the pickle. The burger was pretty big and bacon crispy. It was a well made burger. As for dessert, we all shared the Kafir Lime ice cream $5. It's a definitely an interesting flavor. It tasted to me like lemon grass and reminiscent of thai curry (but sweet). However, to the two boys at the table, it reminded them of the milk with fruit loops in it. It was interesting and unique. Overall, the restaurant is cozy, yummy food, and everything tasted fresh and felt healthy even when it may not be (yummy bacon). The open kitchen is pretty cool too.

Eli has done it again and this time in his very own place! First visit and everything was fantastic. Started with the house iced tea, yummy. Had two. The crab beignets were light on the outside, packed with crabby deliciousness on the inside. I had the carnitas with a side of beans. Best beans ever, please share the recipe. Spouse thoroughly enjoyed the pork sandwich. All he could say was "Oh my God."

Small and wonderful. Our party of four arrived around 7 on a Wednesday night and had to wait 10-15 minutes, but it was well worth it. We started with an appetizer of sweet potato fries, not realizing they came as a side with some of our orders. Oh, how sad. We had to force ourselves to eat extra homemade, tasty, crunchy sweet potato fries. Another standout appetizer was the crab beignets: light, crispy on the outside, and filled with crab, dill and mascarpone--like Rhode Island clamcakes gone to heaven. Add to that the best veggie burger I've ever tasted (a falafel-ish combo of chickpeas and lentils on a brioche roll), an amazing grilled cheese, and a Cubano panini--and did I mention those sweet potato fries? The food is simple, but well done, with a creative twist. I like that they offer small portions and dishes to share. Service was attentive and friendly. All of us were more than satisfied, and the bill was still in the $50 range. My only regret is that none of us had room for dessert!

I had dinner here last night and on the whole, enjoyed it. The place is small and fills up, so it does tend to be a little loud. I will try a weekday night exactly at 5 next time. We had the BALT sandwich (Blt with avocado), carnitas and the lamb shoulder and spinach special. My daughter enjoyed the BALT, I found that the carnitas were no where near as flavorful as their description. The lamb special was out of this world! I am a salt and pepper gal, but after trying my first bite of this dish I didn't even look for the salt! It was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. When it was time for dessert we tried the house made ice cream, which was interesting, and the bread pudding with strawberry rhubarb sauce. The sauce was absolutely delicious but I found the large piece of bread pudding to be totally bland and needing something to pep it up as there was not enough sauce to save it. Overall I would definitely give it another try as the chef is definitely heading in the right direction! Shrimp and grits next time? O and lest I forget, the server was very pleasant and attentive, and the food came out in a very timely manner.

Such a cute place! We sat at the bar which faces the kitchen and had great conversation with chef/owner Eli. Amazingly accommodating to my fiancés food allergy! Food was top notch...from appetizer to dessert! Everyone was super friendly and personable.

I've been to Eli's twice now. The crab beignets are to die for. Absolutely get them, EVEN if you aren't a seafood person. They're so scrumptious and remarkably filling. I got the pulled pork sandwich the first time and I have to say I wasn't a fan. It was cooked perfectly but I didn't care for the flavors, that's just me personally. It was "smoked" instead of in a sauce which is what I personally prefer. It comes with sweet potato fries which I typically love but they didn't impress me. Once again, quality was great, that sandwich just wasn't for me. It's gets better I promise.... Now I went back and got the scallops dish with fingerling potatoes, pulled pork and red kidney beans. It was absolutely incredible. They use Bombster scallops which are (hands down) the best native scallops I've ever eaten. And you wouldn't think that those items would go well together? Well they did, amazingly. I would have licked the plate if I could. For dessert, my friends and I split the blueberry bread pudding dessert. Spectacular. Fresh blueberries from Schacter's Farm and the bread pudding was delicious. It tasted like a moist coffee strudel cake but without the "cinnamon" part. I also would have licked that plate too. Oh and my boyfriend got the fish and chips, I kept stealing his French fries. I have a deep appreciation for hand cut, freshly fried French fries. They were great. Definitely like those over the sweet potato fries. I've lived in this area for 3 years and FINALLY there's a delicious, original restaurant around. You also don't have to drive all the way into Bristol and worry about parking. It is a noisy place but everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. It's gets busy In there but the turn around is relatively quick so I don't believe anyone ever has to wait that long. It's definitely my new preferred place to go. This place will be around for a while!!!

My wife and I are hooked, Eli's has some of the most amazing local "farm to table" meals in New England! I can't say anything negative about Eli's other than its size because we never want to wait when we get there, not even 5 minutes because the food is so so good! Eli thanks for treating us to so many wonderful meals, you and your team never miss a beat!!!!

I kicked off my Elite 2015 year at Elis Kitchen in Warren. I had a massage planned for later on in the day and had already been out to Sid Wainer & Sons, a specialty food store, to grab all those tasty things that are tricky to find. I was with my mom and it was crazy cold out, just the walk from the car to the restaurant made my face hurt. This was going to be the best day ever. And fast forward to the future, it was! So now we are in a small cozy lil spot with tables tucked into window nooks and a family style dining room table, complete with chairs that don't match. I love it. A large family was sitting there and they had plenty of space for the whole team. As cold as we were we welcomed the cold glass of water in a mason jar, I guess being cold makes us thirsty too. We both tried a different sandwich. I have been changing my mind back and forth about whether or not I like the texture of meat...I'm so fickle. I went with the marinated portabella mushroom cap with pesto and goat cheese, it was served with the option of a green salad or fries. Well let me tell you I should have went with the fries. I neglected to realize how literal the menu was about green salads. It was a generous heap of raw kale with dressing on it, which I know is really big right now but the only kale I am willing to eat is cooked and in Portuguese soup. My sandwich was served on grilled bread much like the texture you get from a grilled cheese sandwich, crusty, crunchy and boarder line greasy in the best possible way. The sandwich was a little messy to eat and I have absolutely no regrets, I just asked for more napkins! My mother tried a chicken Panini sandwich of some kind. I was too focused on mine, and I really couldn't put it down....it was good and would have fallen apart. She did however get the fries, oh man these fries....clearly I am not that into fries because as you well know I messed up and went with the salad, but they dusted these fried perfections with curry ... just a smidge and they were amazing. I ate a few before I pin pointed what I was tasting, it was that subtle. I don't usually talk to other tables of people while they decide what to order but I over heard the lady next to me contemplating the portabella sandwich and I suggested she try it. I did leave before she made the choice but I bet she tried it. Nothing on the dessert menu made the cut, I am allergic to certain things so the choices were slim. We left full but not over stuffed and the bill was very reasonable. I think Eli's has something for everyone and the quality of their food was great, I definitely suggest this to others and will return ready to eat.

I am so glad I don't live closer to Eli's Kitchen because I think I'd stop cooking and just bring my family here for every meal. Eli's Kitchen uses local farm fresh food to make worldly flavors. I wanted to order curry everything, but since I was sharing with my toddler daughter, I gobbled down the okra gumbo (perfection!), the cucumber-infused watermelon salad and tomato basil gnocchi. My husband ordered the burger and nearly licked his plate clean. The staff super friendly and went out of their way to be sweet to my 2-year-old. Small, superb and we will definitely be back!

This place is freaking great. I'm madly in love with the chili cauliflower, meatloaf, and carnitas. Recently they had smoked wings and they were out of this world. I don't know if everything is gluten-free but it seems like it's at least Paleo and I feel good about all the ingredients in everything I ate which was kind of a relief! So yeah, definitely a huge fan.

Great food, friendly service, open kitchen.... What's not to love? Locally sourced ingredients freshly prepared. I got the Fish and Chips. ( RI cod) which was batter coated and deep fried to perfection, a feat I've only experienced once or twice in my lifetime. The fries were spicy and not greasy. The homemade tartar sauce was fresh and interestingly delicious. Can't wait to go again.

I love Eli's! Great flavorful food, constantly changing specials. Only complaints would be there are VERY few healthy options-- only the kale salad which is pretty boring and occasionally a special, but there is a lot of fried and greasy food (which is GOOD! Don't get me wrong) but would be nice to have a few lighter options. But overall, awesome food, nice staff, and fun small space that's enjoyable to sit in when it's not too packed.

Oh, Eli... You've stollen my heart and ruined me for all other BLTs. And carnitas. And beans. Yes, beans. Your beans are delish! Is it just me, or is Warren becoming the next Food Hub of Rhode Island? Over the last week and a half, I have found myself trekking from the cozy comforts of PVD, land of amazing food, to this sweet little village for some seriously amazing eats. And Eli's Kitchen is no exception -- actually, it may be the best of all the great spots I've recently frequented down Warren way. First, the charming decor. Second, the charming staff. Third, the impeccable menu... Comfort food, but classed up a bit. Accessible gourmet sounds stupid, but it's the closest I can get to an accurate description. It's so cozy and delicious, but every single ingredient is prepared with thoughtfulness and love. I dig it. So, back to my BLT. It has avocado on it, but not the sliced 'n' slippery kind you're constantly picking up off the plate and reapplying to your sandwich... You see, they mash it up, which makes it more of a condiment which only enhances the sandwich, brining it to a status I'd not previously encountered. Then there's the bacon. Baked, not fried so it's missing all the grease that can sometimes cause your stomach to churn a little post-meal. This bacon is thick, flavorful and crunchy and pairs gloriously with the fresh tomato, sweet bibb lettuce and subtle aioli. And don't forget about the bread... Sourdough, freshly baked and ohsoverygood. If you want something a little more hearty, go for the carnitas and beans. The beans are bacon-y, the carnitas smokey and the salsa? Fresca and delicioso. Especially with one of the great beers they have on their menu. It's a great read, I'm telling ya. In closing, go to Eli's. Get whatever you want because it's aaaaaaaall wonderful. I promise.

We had heard how busy Eli's can get, so we arrived not long after opening. We were surprised that there was only one table open, even that early. Seating is a bit tight. It's a very small space so the wine and beer offerings are a bit limited. My husband enjoyed his can of Narragansett though and my red wine wasn't bad. We were given complimentary housemade tortilla chips and hummus and they were very tasty. For an appetizer we had one of the specials, chourico and potato empanadas. They were really good and a mix of unusual flavors. My husband had the fried cod sandwich special and enjoyed it. I went with the Eli's burger and while it was OK, I ordered it medium and instead it was very well done and a bit dry and hard. It was a disappointment. We had to ask for a second round of drinks even though our glasses were empty for quite a long time. I'll be honest, I expected a bit more given the excellent reviews. The food quality is obviously quite high and the menu is very creative. I'm chalking this one up to being a slightly off night and will return.

Granted we were here for brunch and as soon as I saw shrimp and grits on the dinner menu I was completely distracted, but Eli's will certainly become a recommended and oft visited destination on my list it rhody favorites. Was worried we'd have to wait on a beautiful and balmy Sunday in August, but we stepped in the door and were immediately greeted with a sunny smile and a "come right this way". As others have mentioned, the space is intimate and cozy but airy enough not to induce claustrophobia. A few seats at the bar front the kitchen area and offer a nice alternative for smaller parties while a group of 8 or 10 could fit at the farm style table in the center. Menu is not adventurous but does have tweaked versions of southern cuisine that start the taste buds going. Options present for non carnivorous folks too. We opted to share a few brunch options to maximize our experience. My friend did express disappointment that waffles were not offered (we've had a hard time with worthy waffles, any tips?). Fresh OJ served in mason jars was perfectly sweet and pulpy just the way I like it. Was intrigued by the lavendar lemonade and will make sure to try it next time. Coffee hot in stoneware mugs but nothing extraordinary. Lemon ricotta pancakes with maple syrup and mint were less ricotta than expected but had a zesty appeal. They were plenty light and fluffy but were it not named so on the menu we would have guessed they were lemon buttermilk pancakes. Huevos carnitas looked pretty on the plate but was our least liked dish. With all the expectation of distinctive flavor from the description and colors presented, we were underwhelmed and general consensus was bland. Now the biscuits and gravy, what a find! Porcini gravy over creamy grits. A substantial yet flaky duo of biscuits nestled on top and capped with smoky thick cut ham and perfectly poached eggs. Lick your chops good! I was tempted to wait 2 hrs for dinner service and return for my shrimp and grits but I'm still digesting. Lovely little place in Warren. Do go.

Eli's is still holding strong as one of my favorite spots to eat in Warren. The food is always good. Always. Current favorite dishes include the Ricotta Gnocchi, Sweet Chili Cauliflower, the E.K. Egg Sandwich and most recently a Cornbread Hash served during brunch. I still really like the decor but I must admit, I always leave with a bit of a headache since it can get VERY loud in here. Especially at dinner time. And, as much as I love Eli's, my husband is really turned off by the loud atmosphere so I rarely get to enjoy it with him and I too would probably like it even better if I could have a quiet, intimate dinner here instead of a yelling match that happened to come with delicious food. Overall though the food is so good, I'll keep coming back. Maybe they can start doing takeout so I can enjoy the food with my husband in the quiet of our own home!

This place is quaint and lovely. I went here with my son after reading some yelp reviews when we were in the area and looking for somewhere to grab lunch. I was confused as to where to park at first but after calling and speaking to a kind lady on the phone I learned that there is plenty of parking in the lot directly across the street. I really appreciated all the lovely modern colorful art that filled the place. And the bathroom was just as lovely as the rest of the establishment! Our waitress was Sonya; she was super friendly, and attentive throughout our dining experience. We began with the crab beignets. Which were yummy but a lil too heavy for me. I think i would have enjoyed them more if my son liked them more and i only ate 2 instead of all 4 Sonya brought crayons to the table which was a nice distraction for my son. Which was super helpful since there was a wait on his food. But thats ok, it happens! My portobello sandwich was amazing and once my sons grass fed burger came it was worth the wait. I would like to make a suggestion that yall find smaller buns or perhaps use toast or something for the childrens burger. There was waaaay too much bread for the meat ratio. He loved the sweet potato fries!! And my sandwich came with a generous portion of greens. We will definately be back!! And if necessary I will update my review. I took sone pictures in the bathroom cuz i just thought it was soooo cute. I highly reccomend this place!! You can tell they take pride in what they do.

So many wonderful things to say about Eli's! I went there for the first time for brunch, and it's one of the few places that has lived up to its hype. It's a little reminiscent of Kitchen, but bigger and with more decor. It feels like a welcoming, quaint home with its RI anchors and window seats and long wooden bench tables. Not to mention, the staff is friendly and they work together to help each table.* But let's talk about the food. HOLY WOW. I'm not sure if it was the white chocolate chip coconut pancakes or the caramelized bananas atop the brioche french toast sealed the deal, but I was definitely soaring in my brunch-time happy place. Seriously: do yourselves a favor and get those caramelized bananas. In addition, we shared the biscuits and gravy, which were the best I've had since Succotash closed. Plus: grits! Made right! We had a homemade dill hash special that reminded me of something I'd find at the Grange...I didn't read the fine print, but I don't think there was meat involved...and a homemade gluten free bread that was better than any others I've tried. Let's just say three women devoured four meals and I would LOVE to go back and try their dinner. The menu looks amazing. Things to note: It's a small space, so it's likely you'll have to wait. They do have a community table, which is a fun way to get to know your neighbors, and you can see right into the kitchen (and see Eli!) which is really neat. *I had a burning desire to take a photo of our empty plates, and three different people attempted to clear the plates away before I could take the photo. Way to be on top of it, ladies! (and sorry for being weird and thrice turning you away)

Eli's entire wait staff was super friendly, helpful, efficient, and attentive. Holly ranks among my most favorite waitresses/waiters in New England. Convivial atmosphere. Many of the items on the menu seemed so ambrosial, that it was difficult to make a selection! Complimentary hummus, oil and pita chips. Would have loved a beer menu that featured local craft breweries, like Revival Definitely will be a return visit!

Wow! I thought Bristol had good restaurants, but neighboring Warren is just as awesome. Last night, hubbie and I decided to venture further and try Eli's Kitchen. Gourmet comfort food is what I'd call it, and at affordable prices. The restaurant is small, but cozy, unpretentious, and on our particular night, full of customers clad in plaid. The kitchen is open so you can see the action and you can get an even closer view from the bar area. Normally, I would have ordered a beer or wine, but I noticed in their non-alcoholic section Housemade Rosemint Iced Tea. Never heard or had it before, so I had to try. OMG... It's the best iced tea I've ever had, and in a large 12oz glass for $3! Before our appetizers arrive, the waitress brings us complimentary housemade hummus and pita chips. We loved it, and appreciated that they are doing something different than the typical bread and butter. Then come out appies - Sweet Chili Cauliflower ($5) and Crab & Dill Beignets ($9). The cauliflower was a bit too oily, but the flavor was great. Not too spicy, and the fried shallots added a nice texture. We LOVED the crab beignets, so chock full of crab meat! We've barely finished our appies when the main entrees arrive. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits ($14) and hubbie ordered one of the specials, a Pork-Beef-Lamb Meatballs served over polenta ($15). Happy, happy mouths! Everything was so delicious! The shrimp was cooked just right, not tough, and seasoned with what appeared to be a black pepper rub. The grits were sooo creamy and when mixed with the (possibly) shrimp stock, had just the right seasoning. Hubbie loved his meatballs - I had one bite and he wouldn't share anymore. Overall, such a fabulous dining experience and for the quality of food, didn't break the bank like at some comparable restaurants in Newport. We will definitely be back!

The sweet chile cauliflower and crab beignets are some of the best things I've ever eaten. Go there now, and order these. You're welcome. The Cubanos are pretty damn good, too. I've only been there during the day, but I hope to check out some dishes off the dinner menu, too.

This is my favorite place in a Warren... and beyond! Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. I religiously follow their Nightly Specials on their Facebook. Cubano, Shrimp and Grits, Crab Beignets, CHOWDER... SO DAMN GOOD? No, it's GREAT. You can tell every aspect of the dish is filled with love. LOVE!

I AM IN LOVE!!!! A great man with a great vision, a great staff with Incredible talent!!! Inside is simple, quaint and beautiful. Open style kitchen theater. Bar type seating for the food porn voyeur. An 8-12 top I think. Couple 4 tops and several duces. I stated with the RI clam chowder. Clear broth but a pat of herbed butter melted into mild creaminess. The BEST broth I've had outside of ... Well ... Mine. SO MUCH FLAVOR packed into an ample bowl. The taste of the sea. The taste of the ocean state. And a bucket of co-hogs to boot. HEAVEN! Served with light and crispy corn fritters! Then on to a smoked pulled pork and coleslaw sandwich on a decadent house made bun with sweet potato fries. Smokie. Not overbearing. Dancing flavored. An almost caramelized crisp on those fries. Finally: the last piece of key lime pie. Eli just bumped Aunt Carrie's out of my #1 spot. I talked to Eli for a bit after. A true gentlemen. Go. Then thank me. Then thank them;-)

Best spot in Warren for breakfast, but expect a wait. The dinner menu is funky for people who are used to traditional American food. They're all about quality not quantity and they only seem to use local ingredients too. They have a common table or private tables, very tight quarters, not a romantic place for dinner.

First time visiting Eli's and most definitely won't be our last. Love the rustic feel inside with the open kitchen. The hostess and waitress were both very friendly. We were served a plate of homemade chip and humus while we waited which was delicious. Humus is humus to me but it's the chip and dressing that makes it. These chips were light and airy doused with a bit of spice and cilantro. Perfect! For dinner there were four of us. We each had something different so we could sample. We had the meatloaf, yellow Thai curry chicken, corn chowder, and grilled cheese. Honestly all the dishes were amazing. Yes even the grilled cheese which was crafted with a variety of cheeses served on homemade brioche. The corn chowder was perfectly sweet with just a touch of heat. The curry chicken had flavors that popped like fireworks on a hot July night. The meatloaf was amazing featuring flavors that resemble the awesomeness of a slim jim. All in all this place is a must if you're in town. Heck it's a must try if you're not in town. Stop down to this quaint little town on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for a nice walk down Water St. And check out the water views and antique shops. Then when you get a "rumbly in your tumbly" you can swing on over to Eli's. You Will Not Be Dissapointed!

So disappointed with the hostess! I was so excited to go to Eli's tonight for dinner. My boyfriend and I arrived at 7pm to avoid the 5-6:30 dinner rush. We walked in and there was no wait and all the tables were full except my favorite small corner booth near the window. Score!!! You would think so... But NO!! The hostess said we would have to wait; I kindly pointed out the open corner booth, asking if we could sit there. She told us that booth was for 3 or more people. Being slightly annoyed because we were so hungry, we agreed to wait. We stared at the empty booth for 20 minutes; no one walked through the door to be seated. Finally we told the hostess we were extremely hungry and would be going somewhere else to have dinner. She still did not offer us the empty table. I understand seating can be difficult in a small Space and I'm sure the hostess tries her best to accommodate everyone, but this was definitely the wrong call and sadly a financial loss for the restaurant.

I will be absolutely honest but please read the entire review before you skip this restaurant. At first glance, get over the hipster feel of the place. For example, you drink water out of mason jars... Then they have community seating which is like eating next to a total stranger. Maybe not the place for date night. The seating is 35 but it definitely doesn't seat that many, a practical number for seating would have been 25. The flies here are horrendous due to the fact that they leave the entrance door open without a screen door. In the warmer months, I've noticed they do not use air conditioning. It's hot as hell and the flies just add to that odd feeling. The whole situation of flies and heat could have been avoided with common sense on the owner's part. I imagine this place would be quite comfortable during the colder months when all the flies die off. On a positive note, the service was phenomenal. Warm welcome and great service. The menu is certainly unique and the flavors are outstanding. Everything is mostly grown and raised right here in Rhode Island. I love how the menu has a lot of vegan and gluten friendly options as well as carnivorous too. I can definitly see myself coming here again. Just a side note, this may not be the place to bring little kids. In my opinion, it's a place for mature palates or individuals who can appreciate good food.

Having lived in Rhode Island and on the Gulf Coast outside NOLA, I was very intrigued by this new restaurant, as it promised to blend some of the best of both into one savory package. Well color me impressed. First of all, the space is small and charming. It features a nautical theme (but not kitsch) and a open kitchen, and we sat at the public table along with several other couples. The space was intimate and public at the same time, a neat trick. The service was spot on. Eli's does not take reservations and it is popular, so expect to wait for a table. However in our opinion the wait is well worth it. We tried the chowder, the crab beignets, the pork sandwich, and the grilled cheese. All four were excellent. The pork sandwich is inspired by a NOLA po'boy and it was delectable. You know its good when you are eating scraps off the plate. The chowder was also very good - I would vote for it in Newport. Finally the beignets - crispy on the outside, savory crab on the inside, spectacular. My wife and I plan to be by again soon. The brunch looks fun and there are other lunch/dinner items that caught our eye - the BLT and the flatbread, to name a few. Bottom line, this place is charming and very tasty.

Farm to table fare where Eli makes every ingredient shine. We ordered a bunch of apps, the crabcake beignets, fried Cauliflower, warm kale salad, and the goat cheese with arugula and garlic toast. Each dish was phenomenal. If you can only have one, get the Cauliflower, it's prepared with a Thai chili sauce that's sweet with heat, and a bit of mint. The grits with shrimp... This dish was prepared to New Orleans French Quarter quality! To finish off the meal we ordered the key lime pie. It was another home run! The place is small, but not tiny. There's a communal table, which I find fun and a great way to meet new people. The open kitchen design and local art cover walls make for a very hip decor. The place was packed but the noise level was pleasantly low. Eli's is the new Warren and I'm so excited to eat here again soon!

Went back tonight for the third time and was not disappointed. Just wanted to say that I have been a lifelong meatloaf-hater. I never thought I would taste meatloaf that didn't make me gag. My father-in-law ordered it tonight and I begrudgingly consented to trying a bite. Mind = blown. Eli, you're awesome. We also ordered two other things I've never tried here before -- the yellow curry and the naan. The curry dish was incredibly flavorful and delicious, with perfectly cooked jasmine rice, baby potatoes, chicken, mango, cilantro, all drenched in an amazing curry sauce. So so good. The naan was the best naan I've ever had. It's topped with garlic, cilantro, and coconut shreds, and served hot with mango chutney on the side. YUM. I just can't say enough good things.

Went back again and had a much better experience. Though this time I made sure to come right when they opened to avoid a long wait. The hostess (different one this time) was very friendly. The table service was prompt and courteous. Waters were refilled quickly. Great service overall. And most importantly, this time I got to try the food which was delicious! Tons of vegetarian options and the prices are pretty reasonable overall. And they offer lots of small plates which is great for those on a budget or just not that hungry. The only tough thing about this place is the lack of reservations which can make it difficult to plan an evening here since you may end up waiting (as I did on my first visit) for a very long time. Luckily Warren has tons of other restaurant options so it is possible to check on the wait times here and then head elsewhere if needed.

Came here for the first time today. Why can't this be in Providence?! This place is amazing. It's a cute little place with a cozy, yet simplistic vibe. The staff were super friendly, fast, and gave great recommendations. The food is to die for. I was so torn between corn chowder with corn fritters and the crab beignets. Our waitress suggested I get the soup and for a small up charge I can have the beignets on the side in place of fritters. I could have the beignets every day for the rest of my life. A little salty, the right amount of crab, and a perfect crispy outside. My boyfriend went for an eggplant panini and fries. The homemade ketchup was an extra nice touch to an already amazing sandwich. They don't have a fully stocked bar, since it is small, but they have vodka, rum, gin, some good beers and wines. So there's not much more you could ask for. We will definitely be coming back to try breakfast. A definite favorite.

Every once in a while, the planets align, and you have the perfect meal. The thing is, that the perfect meal isn't necessarily about the food, it's about the experience. I had the perfect meal here at Eli's. Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted. You got the sense they WANTED you there. The waitress was amazing too. She was efficient and seemed to be there at all the right times, without hovering over us. Just that alone was worth the five stars, and that was before the food. OH! The food! Amazing! I got the chana dal burger, which is ground up chickpeas with Indian spices. I can honestly say (and this is coming from someone who knows) this is the best veggie burger I have ever eaten. One small problem, it fell apart while I was eating it, and I had to use a fork and knife. Normally I take a star away for that, but it was such a tasty sandwich that I couldn't be that cruel to give anything less than five stars. The restaurant itself is tiny. Really, really tiny. I was surprised at how small it was. I could see how a Friday or Saturday night there could get really packed really quick! A note on the menu: Don't be afraid about bringing a vegetarian friend with you to eat here. Half of the menu was vegetarian, half wasn't. Really smart of them to do that. I seriously will be bringing my friends back here time and time again. It was awesome. p.s. To the gentleman that greeted us at the door. You told the wrong two people you were getting married down the street from us! We are SO crashing your wedding. The 16th was it? Ok, I guess we're not that cruel to crash your wedding, but remember: Once you say I do, she says I don't!

Maybe they can start doing takeout so I can enjoy the food with my husband in the quiet of our own home!

tried Eli's last week for the first time.

Oh well.

Just tried this place. That appetizers were amazing. I had the meatloaf, it was subpar. Tasted like a sausage. And the mashed potatoes were tasteless. Everyone else at my table thought there food was great and everything else i tasted was delicious. Just avoid the meatloaf.

We go to Louisiana at least once per year. What a treat to have Chef Eli turn out high quality Southern inspired dishes right here on the East Bay. The biggest problem this place will have will be moving to a bigger local. This place will be hard to stay away from!

Do go.

LOVE!
