Surprisingly great sandwich joint (plus convenience store) thats's a secret favorite amongst the locals. I'm a big fan of the panini with turkey, bacon, cheese and honey mustard. In terms of places to get sandwiches in the Seekonk/East Providence area, this is one of, if not THE best place to get one in my opinion. They have a roast beef sandwich that is cooked on fresh baked french garlic bread. Fresh baked.... as in, you'll be waiting 10 minutes for your sandwich, but it's oh so worth it. They also have a great selection of cookies, notably "butter balls". Try 'em!

Great sandwiches and prepared foods. They used to have this sandwich called the brass ring (I think). It was smoked turkey, provolone, mayo and some sun dried tomato spread if I remember correctly. It was freaking awesome. Mac and Cheese in prepared foods section rocks too.

Schroeders Deli catered for my event today. The event was held at my hair salon, it was held during a 3 hour window of time, we had clients come in throughout the late morning and early afternoon for complimentary services to promote a product line that we sell. I needed the event catered for lunch and called Shroeders for help. I had originally planned on getting some things ready to cater it myself with stuff like cheese and crackers and fruit maybe some finger sandwiches but I got very busy throughout the beginning of the week that I felt I should get help with this task. So I called Shroeders for a catering order on Wednesday morning for an event that was to happen only 48 hours later and for 20-25 people. Keri the catering manager helped me and said not a problem and that they were prepared to cater an event that size with that much notice. She helped me choose things that would hold up well for a few hours and that would be a variety of choices so that it would satisfy a variety of tastes. We ended up with a veggie calzone, wraps, a lovely spring mix salad with gorgonzola cranberries walnuts and my favorite D.E. Vine Balsamic (which is a local brand and very delicious, she didn't even mention they used such a great quality dressing on the phone), fruit salad bowl and a plate of cookies. She was so helpful in her suggestions in more than one way. Making sure that I had enough food yet not encouraging over ordering. Worked out perfect!! Food was delicious with a great presentation and we were spoiled to have it delivered by her because fortunately we are located very close by. Still so nice of her to offer and it saved me a lot of time. Thank you Shroeders, I'll be ordering again for future events!!

Deli-licious. I must echo the fondness for the TBC (Turkey Bacon Cheese) - while it sounds like something you could just as easily throw together for yourself... it's not. They roast their own turkey in-house (and roast beef). The product is top quality here, and sandwiches are gigantic. Schroeder's offers a full catering spread which I'd love to try sometime. There is a bit of a wait while these TRUE sandwich artists work their magic, but it's not a bad place to hang around while you salivate for your sandwich. The deli doubles as a homey convenience store for the rest of your picnic fixin's, and there's a little sitting area that even has a book trade shelf. This is as good as it gets for a "NY style deli" in the Little Rhody. Awesome spot!

The glory of learning to buy local is you learn about gems like Schroder's. They have a large variety of deli meats and cheeses (including Boar's Head for those who are a fan), marinated meats, and sides and salads you can buy by the pound. Every Sunday they change their sale meat and cheese so if you're on a tighter budget you can enjoy a fresh variety weekly. If you don't want to do the cooking, they also sell freshly made sandwiches in the store as well and they won't break your wallet but the sizes might break your belt. To top it off, they carry the spice mix for New York System Chili (yes!), local eggs and milk, and cookies from The Cookie Place (made by adults with disabilities). If you're a Riverside resident, you have no excuse as to buying your meat and cheese and Shaw's down the road when Schroder's is in business.

Schroder's makes good food. And it's fresh. Their sandwiches and prepared foods are scrumptious. Their deli and meat section is excellent. I have a friend who is a culinary snob. He LOVES Schroder's and when he visits RI from Utah, demands daily trips to Schroder's. The staff is terrific. They will help in any way they can. The sandwiches can take a while to prepare and are a bit pricey, but good things come to those who wait. This wonderful deli also carries useful, practical items. It is a boon to the neighborhood.
