*TRUE* Irish pub! * Probably the best place you have likely never been to. * Great food; the nightly specials are really VERY good. * Several beers on tap, one of the best Guinness pours in New England. * Friendly atmosphere.. there is a wide range of folk and rarely do you see anyone with a bad attitude. * Music can be hit or miss, but it is usually not so loud you can't have a conversation. He does have some damn good bands come in. * Prices can't be beat. He keeps them low to keep folks coming in and having a good time. I really can't think of too many better places to meet up after work at and relax over a pint and conversation with friends or to watch the game over some nachos at!

This place is most useful because it is around the corner from my place. They have plenty of good beers on tap. Last time I was there, I saw my city counselor hanging out in the back drinking some Budwieser.

An "Irish Pub" that cops a seriously bad attitude towards an inquiry about craft and/or microbrew beers? The surly bartender reached into the cooler and said with some disdain,"This is all we have, but no one ever orders it" (holds up an Anchor Steam). I guess this place is happy to pour their crappy, watery Guinness.

Ah Pats! Great local spot, good beer selection, juke box, pool table, darts, karaoke on Sundays *I think*. They recently renovated (only the outside of the building) so the inside is still... you know... a DIVE bar... Great place to go meet some friends, pound down a few shots and tip a Smithwicks.

I've become a "regular" at Patricks! Awesome bartenders, great wings, and patrons that won't scare you away. Darts, pool, trivia night and free music makes this pub above average.

This is an interesting locals bar... worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood, dive-y Irish pub with a cast of characters. We were there on Friday, there was a live band, playing classic rock, I enjoyed them. There is a pool table and darts, but weren't a ton of patrons while we were there -- between 8-10, which I expected there would be.

Great Irish dive bar. They are situated right in the middle of the Providence St. Patrick's Day parade. I've never had a complaint from the food on the pub fare offerings-whether it be a burger, a reuben or corned beef & cabbage. Be careful of the dining tables, they have seen better days and some tend to be quite wobbly. get some coasters or napkins or an edition of the Providence Phoenix to steady the table. There is a jukebox when there isn't live music and multiple TV's so you can catch the Sox/Pats/Bruins/Celts when they are on. There is also darts and a pool table. It has a cast of characters for regulars and on Tuesday nights at 8 there is live Irish music seshuin (a drop in jam) led by one of the founding members of Pendragon. Parking can be an issue as Smith St is very busy and there is no lot. I also would not leave anything enticing in plain view in your car or else it will not be there when you return to your car.

This place has it all. A lovely and mischievous owner named Patrick, a friendly barman, Irish cider on tap and great pub food. The bar is filled with regulars in the late afternoon, which I love. I can't wait to become one! They also have karaoke on Wednesdays and live Irish music on Tuesdays. Perfect.

Great local watering hole! Fish and chips are the best and reasonable. Little secret about Patrick's is if you want to have a little party or an "Irish Wake" or collation they have fantastic buffet options that won't break the bank and provide plenty of food. There is plenty of parking on the street and some in the back. Bartenders are great! Matt is our favorite.

It's a nice bar, pretty cheap and clean. There's pool and darts as well as a karaoke night. It's usually empty when I go but I like the atmosphere and bartenders usually. The weird thing here is the placement of their dart board - right by the door to the bathrooms and I've always thought it is ridiculously dangerous. Sometimes as you're exiting the bathroom they will motion for you to wait as someone is throwing a dart. Yeah, maybe not the smartest choice of placement there ..

Cool Dive Bar Characters Welcome I always love Patricks. I am a little bias because I am friends with the bartender, but I have been going to Patricks for 15 years and it is always a strange time. In a good way. Tip: Go in when the bartender Matt is working. He always makes you feel welcome. As for the rest, it's a Divey old bar with pool tables. The bar itself always has plenty of room which I like. Close to downtown at half the prices. If you looking to get your shine on before hitting downtown or want to grab a late night drink on Friday or Saturday night give this place a try. Tip 2: The wiener joint is across the street if your hungry late night. Enjoy, thanks

Our Applebee's crew is here at least three nights a week. We love Patrick's. All of the bartenders are hilarious and treat us like family. The crowd can get a little weird, but hey--it's providence and they're open late. Drinks are cheap and the selection is large. Saturday is my favorite night. DJ ELECTRO! Seriously--BEST DJ. I literally want him to be the DJ at my wedding and I'm not even kidding. This guy has such good jams. I don't even think it has anything to do with the few drinks that get in my system. This guy puts it DOWN. Have you ever heard a song that you haven't heard in years and you're like, "THIS IS MY JAM!!!" THAT IS THE STORY OF MY LIFE ON SATURDAYS WITH DJ ELECTRO. I'm sure many agree. Patrick's is the SPOT.

Patrick's Bar will always hold a special place in my heart, as will the people I met there. I remember my times having a pint with Pat's father and listening to his wonderful stories, making friends and of course the great drinks and amazing food. But most of all I remember the people. Sure a lot of places have good drinks and some even have great food and a few will even treat you like family but very few will offer you all of them. When you find such a place, you should hold onto it. If you like a bar that is locally owned, that doesn't pretend to be something it's not and will treat you like a friend instead of just a customer, do yourself a favor and go to Patrick's Bar. You won't regret it and I promise, you'll have found your new favorite bar. Would I lie to you? Well, maybe but not this time...Slainte!
