I really enjoy Big Tonys pizza. The size, the cheese, the oily goodness. The boneless wings are hot, almost eye watering BUT I've had hotter. I had an issues and the staff was willing to work with me and fix it. They went above and beyond to make it right. They have a mobile app but you can't order online? That was odd. Good prices, average for area.

DO NOT GO HERE! Food poisoning! ! $3.25 plus tax for a slice of cheese! ! Got food poisoning from this place... should have known when I used the bathroom... absolutely filthy. Nothing Italian about the place. 5 racist Mexican cooks who took 20 mins to reheat my pizza but served any Latin who walked in immediately... I was the only white guy who ass wasn't hanging out of his pants. I've had better pizza at taco bell. Save you money and avoid this place like the rat infested shit hole it is. Great place for explosive diarrhea

When this place opened, it was decent....Needless to say, haven't ordered anything in 2 years. Frozen pizza LITERALLY tastes better. The best part, is anyone giving more than 2 stars...must be part of the job description, in order to keep your job, you need to post 1 positive post per week. On more than 1 occasion, I threw out the pizza, I made the mistake of calling, cause they clearly don't give s crap. The one thing that shocks me is how is it still open, usually places with dog food like this doesn't last long...PC kids are bankrolling this joint.

I used to love this place until I ordered a veggie pizza with no olives and received an olive pizza. It wasn't the fact that my order was wrong that upset me, it was the fact that when I called to tell them my order was incorrect they hung up the phone on me and I called back thinking I got disconnected and they kept hanging up the phone on me. That is terrible service and unacceptable. I don't care if it was closing time you definitely do not treat customers that way ever. One bad experience like this will push a customer away forever.

It was our first time ordering from this restaurant, and it sure wont be our last. We ordered the chicken parm calzone and the meaty calzones, and they were huge!! And i really mean it. They were really delicious. The pizza is decent too and the place is open till 3am so if your hungry from the bar and want to grab a slice, they do a decent job. I would really recommend this place! Thanks

Everything thing about this place is great. I love their Romeo and Juliet Pizza! It's amazing and fresh! They have great sandwiches too! Great to order late night but delivery takes 45 mins to an hour. Worth it!

I am a little surprised by the overall rating of Big Tony's. The first time I ordered take out, I got a steak tip salad and was shocked by how good the tips were. Since then I've had had wraps and have only enjoyed them. I haven't had their pizza, so I can't comment on it (I am hooked on Napolitano's).

Pretty good pizza! Needed something to eat and fell onto this place. It was pretty good. A little greasy, but really good. New York style pizza and it tastes great.

I'm a Massachusetts transplant, and for a while I had just refused to eat pizza here in RI because I have had one too many that were greatly dissapointing. That is until I came to Big Tony's. I honestly wasn't expecting much. We were hungry one night and Big Tony's was open. We decided to walk in and order a pepperoni pizza. As we were sitting and waiting, I looked around and got even hungrier looking at everyone's plates of delicious looking pizza. When I took the first bite, I almost couldn't believe it. Not only had I found an acceptable pizza in RI, it was actually good, really good! I was so excited to return. I also had one of their cookies. They honestly don't look like much but surprisingly delicious. The second time, not so much. Instead of walking in to order, we phoned ahead for pick up. I have no idea what happened, because the pizza had tasted nothing like it had before, the crust was much thinner than I remembered it to be, and it was almost burnt. Another thing that wasn't okay with me, was whilewe were in the shop, we had overheard one of the employees on the phone with a customer. She was being completely rude, talking down to him/her, speaking in slang, almost screaming and laughing/making fun of the customer with the employees- all while still on the phone with them. I understand venting about how difficult it can be to speak with customers sometime, but that is a conversation that is to happen after someone places an order, not during. What gives you the right to speak to someone like that? Not cool. I will be giving it another chance because I'd love to taste that amazingly delicious pizza I had that first time once more.

This place is not only a disgrace to Italian Americans, but the neighborhood it is in and pizza in general. The pizza delivery drivers and the tractor trailers who do the food deliveries for the restaurant frequently block both sides of the road making it nearly impassible and a nightmare to get by, day and night, beginning around 7 am with their daily delivery from a tractor trailer who blocks the area in front of a stop sign and 3/4 of the road that is already too small to handle all traffic it has. Never the less we were starving and gave it a shot again today after 3 previous deliveries that stuck out over the last year. One which I might add, we were accused of trying to swindle them out of an order of chicken tenders because they had to come back 3, yes, THREE times in one night because the person taking the order couldn't grasp the concept of chicken tenders without buffalo sauce. Place should be called Big Phonies, it's a bunch of guys who are definitely not Italian, ripping off Italian American culture so they can sell pizza to college kids who don't know any better. Pictures of our ordeal are attached of the 2 whole pizza we threw out only to order papa johns. Check out the pics, our dog wouldn't even touch this pizza. I feel like I'm being harsh but this place is a nightmare for the neighborhood and has consistently served us terrible food on several occasions. This place is part of the reason we are moving out of this neighborhood.

. My family always orders from this pizza place. We ordered online like we always do and on the receipt we received it said cheese pizza with one topping like we always get. The pizza we got was only a cheese and cold. When we called and asked to speak to the manager. He was rude. I was told I need to learn how to order after he looked it up and saw we order all the time. He then told me that he could only send us pepperoni and that there was nothing he could do for it being cold. When my husband wanted to talk to him he was told he sounds like a girl and that we had to learn how to order. He would not send us another pizza stating it was our fault. And that what is he suppose to guess what topping? When if it only came over as cheese with one topping they could of called us like any other place to Verify the order. Then we were told we needed to learn how to order. We were then hung up on. When we called back we were handed again to the same manager who then told us he was the owner after telling us the first time he was the manager. We will tell everyone we know about how we were treated and how rude the manager Romeo was.

Well. Where do we start. About a year ago we moved to the neighborhood. Not knowing any better we ordered delivery. They messed up our order three times we ordered chicken fingers for the kids. And they delivered buffalo wings the first time. Then buffalo tenders the second. And then they called us liars and told us we wanted free chicken tenders. How ever we returned the uneaten product each time. They left the chicken fingers on the front steps without ringing the bell. So we were off to a bad start. Like any bad relationship it didn't end there. Their suppliers deliver daily. Pepsi. Cara Donna etc. Blocking the streets as if their drivers parking all over the streets was not bad enough add in some tracker trailer type trucks into the mix. The delivery drivers must be blind, there are No parking signs everywhere and they have a parking lot right there for them yet they block the road. I wish I could upload the videos of me just waiting to get through to my house from smith street. Sometimes I think I could walk faster. We have on occasion tried to give them another chance. However like any bad relationship it doesn't work out. Don't let their name fool you. There is nothing Italian about big phony's. Do your self a favor and order from Tommy's or NYC pizza.

I kinda love it. The pizza is great, they deliver until 4am and there is a pretty decent menu with a lot to choose from. I've mostly ordered late night, and delivery can take a long time. It's also a little more pricey than other pizza places in the area (dominos) but I think the quality is better. They sell pizza by the slice on site and one night a week have all you can eat pizza. The staff is also really friendly. I would definitely recommend Big Tony's especially for late night food!!

Pizza is one of my favorite foods and living in Providence there is no shortage of different pizza places to choose from. If I'm in the mood for somewhere close by or in need of a late night bite to eat, Big Tony's is usually a good reliable choice. The thing I really like about this place is that they have a big selection of regular and specialty pizza's to choose from. They come New York style (with big slices) and while they might tend to be on the greasier side sometimes, I feel like you get your moneys worth. Also, one of my favorite side orders to snack on are their potato wedges. They seem to season them just right and are perfect to dip in a side honey mustard. While the pizza here is pretty good, I have been disappointed the couple of times I decided to order sandwhiches. The chicken salad pita was pretty bland in flavor and their Italian grinder was a bit underwhelming when it came to how much meat and toppings they actually put into it. So I'll normally just stick with pizza and sides / appetizers. With a combo of free deilvery until 4am and good pizza at a decent price, Big Tony's is a local spot I can normally rely on to satify my pizza cravings.

Pizza was pretty good the price for a large pizza $13.75, and they delivered right to my door.Yes I would go here again but order the pizza with extra sauce .

Writing this review at 9am on a Monday morning, I think, "eh, their pizza is decent." However, after an evening of merry imbibing, this place is pretty much sacred ground. Pizza within stumbling distance of the place I'll eventually fall asleep? Yes please.

Big tonys is a solid place, usually a go to place for college students at ric or pc. I usually get buffalo chicken pizza slices which are pretty good. Also calzones are pretty solid. I heard gangster wraps are great but never tried. But this a solid place, staff is somewhat friendly, usually busy place too

  • Danielle L.

Underwhelming. They hung up on us the first time we called, screwed up the order, it arrived 20 minutes late. French fries cold and soggy (I live less than 3 mins away), calzone blah, and salad bland with packaged pre-made dressing. I'd heard so many good things about this place, but will never be ordering from it again.

Waited for 15 mins in the store for a pickup order ( after I waited the 20 mins they told me when I ordered) and they told me 5 more mins when I first came in. Ok no problem. I waited for 15 mins and then asked where my pizzas were and they were sitting on top of the oven the entire time. Seriously????? At this point I don't care what it tastes like. Get your act together.

Felt the need to update... Big Tony's is good, just not 5-star-worthy. Besides the calzones and pizza, everything else on the menu can be inconsistent. A few times I've gotten apps or sides that were just inedible. They can keep 4 stars because their extreme buffalo calzone still has my heart.

Blaah...worst pizza ever. Cardboard, very little cheese or sauce and no taste. Never again.

I was Sooo Hungry tonight and I happened to see the Big Tonys Billboard off Atwells Ave. So I get home and looked over their website and decided to order a steak tip dinner. Sounded Sooo good at the time! First I call up the old manish sounding guy answers the phone Big Tonys! Like their really is a Big Tony, the owner is a chubby Lebanese guy with daddy's money!! Pick up or delivery is the second question. I give him all my info and tell him what ai want how I want the tips cooked etc.... He states about 30-35 minutes. Ok no problem. About 1 hour goes by NO FOOD!! i call up the same guy answers yeah the drivers on his way. Ok I wait! i wait sone more about another 30 minutes goes by the delivery driver calls says Big Tonys im outside? Ok cone to the door??? Am i right??? So I go the car pick up the food, pay the driver ( I do admit did not give him a good tip) i go inside now at least I smell the food my hunger pains are going away! I open the styrofoam box take a bite out of the tips they are cold and rare!!!! Now I am so pissed. I called Big Tonys spoke to the same guy he must think hes sone kind of wanna be gangsta like half of providence. I tell him whats wrong. He says ok I will get you another order and Dont eat the one you have I will pick it up. So another 45 minutes goes by to get my food. The steak tips tastes like pure garlic, they were cooked this time but guess what no dressing for the salad. My suggestion. FUGETABOUT BIG TONYS PIZZA!!!!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I would rather eat frosted flakes all day long!!!

If I could it would be a negative rating. I ordered food from the service Eat 24 in hopes of getting a late dinner. After an hour of waiting I was notified they would not deliver my food because my phone # could not be verified. I have been ordering from this place for a year to the same address many many times. I will never be ordering again. What is the point of ordering from a service online (as I have before without any verificarion of a #) if you wait an hour to let someone know there food will not be coming. I can get over the mocking of Italians in your awful radio ads but something like this is idiotic. Dont offer a service you can not accommodate and stop speeding down my street to make deliveries every night.

I've given this place a try 3 times. Each time I was dissapointed. Their calzones are horrible! They look huge, and when u see it u think its going to be fantastic. But I was sadly dissapointed everytime! There was no taste at all to the steak. Another time I got the ham& cheese calzone. It was disgusting! It had huge, fat, cut up pieces of what looked like the cheapest , fakest ham ever! I just threw it out! My cousin ordered a sandwich, and she didn't like it either. Needless to say won't be ordering from this place anymore.

  • Kimberly R.

Had a horrible experience tonight! First the prices online are different from the "actual" prices! I ordered a "All Capone Wrap" which is a chicken bacon ranch and the ranch was watered down and had absolutely no taste and the bacon was hard as a rock! I called to complain and spoke with Rita the manager on and she had another wrap delivered. I received that wrap 45 minutes later which by that time I had no appetite and the wrap was exactly the same! I will not be ordered again!

I actually used to be a regular at Big Tony's. Keyword: USED TO. The service was always a hit or miss, and I can't really think of a time the staff was friendly or didn't have an attitude. The only reason this review has a star and why we kept ordering was for the food. The food is good and that's just about it. Our last order and final straw with Big Tony's was one Eat24 order on a Friday night. I understand Friday is a busy night, but the order said ready within 30-45. Ok, no problem. So we waited. When our "order confirmation" timer hit 1 hour, we decided to call. When we did we got "Um, ok I'll call the driver". We waited another 15 minutes and nothing and AGAIN got "Ok. I'll call the driver". Another 15 minutes and again "We're going to call the driver" to which I said "That's the third time you said that. It shouldn't take an hour and a half to get a small pizza and a wrap". Then we get connected to the manager...owner...? Who knows. He tells us our order is "lost". LOST!! LOST?!?! Lost. So they had to start from square one and said "We're going to have the driver deliver this first when it's ready". We wait a half hour and called again and said "It's been taking forever. You're not going to do ANYTHING to try and rectify the situation?!" , whoever picked up spoke to my boyfriend this time and all they had to say for the delay and order that has yet to show up was "Sorry buddy. We're busy" and hung up. Sorry buddy?! He's not some little kid you're coaching on a soccer team, we're adults who give you our money at least 2-3 times a week to support your exponentially crappy service. We had to contact Eat24 chat to cancel our order as the timer was PAST the 2 hour mark. 2 hours for a small pizza and a wrap. 2 HOURS! When Eat24 tried to call the restaurant we were informed the owner basically called us liars and said that we "only put the order in an hour ago". So I have the screenshot of the timer. Absolutely ridiculous. Eat24 refunded our money and the pre-paid tip after the 2 hour mark. We got the food a whopping 2 and a half hours later but by that point it was cold and there was no way to change this experience with Big Tony's.

Pay by the Slice Pizza at 2am! I couldn't ask for better! Delivery until 4am, they just provided me with better without even asking! The pizza was yummy, the staff is super nice, and the place is cutely decorated. For a late night snack, this place is definitely worth the trip if you're nearby!

Really enjoyed their food tonight and I was completely sober. I ordered the slaughter house pizza and calamari both were hot when i picked them up. There was tons of meat on the pizza; chicken, pepperoni, ham, bacon and sausage. The pepperoni was thickly cut too instead of being extra thin. The only weird thing was that there was olives and banana peppers mixed in with the calamari. I like the spicy and sour taste of the peppers but I didn't particularly like olives. It only took 15 minutes too.

Good pizza and food. Decent delivery time. My main complaint is the driver's honking the horn to attract attention when the food is delivered. I live in a residential neighborhood, and I don't appreciate it when my neighbor's friends honk the horn rather than calling or ringing the bell. I specified on my order not to honk the horn. They did anyways. Very rude service.

I admit that I have become a New York pizza snob. Yesterday after volunteering at LIfeCycle's annual Ride Around Rhody which raises funds for cancer research ( a huge success I might add), I joined part of my family for dinner. They ordered three pies from Big Tony's. It was the second time I have had their pizza. This time I tried their sausage and onions and a slice of their white pizza. They also ordered pepperoni but it was gone before I got to it. I found the crust to be a bit too soft and the sauce a bit bland and thus less than inspiring. The sausage likewise was somewhat bland but the onions were okay. The cheese on the white pizza was, however, was flavorful! So compared to what I cbuy in NYC, I would say that Big Tony's pizza is okay but not exceptional. Hey I ate three slices, so even for a pizza snob like me, that says something!

  • Malida K.

Pizza was awesome, wings could've been a bit more flavorful, service was good, the wait was only about 10 minutes for takeout. The fans in the restaurant gave off a very nice breeze. The atmosphere of the place was laid back and fun. Pac-man machine is a nice touch. Fair pricing.

Pizza: tasty. Seasoned steak fries with cheese and bacon: amazing. A favorite in our house is the Fat Tony wrap (shredded steak, bbq sauce, provolone and french fries), so good! Delivery is quick and the delivery guys are always friendly. I wasn't a fan of the pasta that I ordered (chicken alfredo with ziti), sauce was thin and the meat wasn't too appealing. Won't stop me from ordering my other faves though!

I've always experienced wonderful customer service, whether I call at 6pm or 2 am, but recently there has been a female employee with a really brusque demeanor. I was discouraged when I meet her in person. I found that in speaking with her on different occasions, she wasn't having an off day, but was in fact really ill fitted for her current work. Poor choice. Hoping for continued customer service?

I ordered a with cheese and an order of hummos via delivery. The order arrived promptly within the 40-45 min. as promised. The food seemed fresh enough, and the pizza wasn't greasy (always a plus). The staff was extremely nice also. I wish that the pizza had a bit more sauce (I couldn't taste or see any) and that the crust was cooked a bit more so it would have been crispy. The hummos was edible, but tasted like maybe they used canned chickpeas and that out of the jar garlic. It also had a ton of oil on top which leaked out of the container, through bag etc.. I'd say I would order here again if I was desperate. As mentioned above, the service was excellent.

Big Tony's pizza sucks. Worst pizza I have ever ate. And I have never ate this pizza sober. Anything tastes good drunk. This pizza does not. Last time we ordered from them it took about 2 hours to get the delivery, we figured they weren't coming and fell asleep. Next morning my fiancé had about 30 missed calls from the delivery guy literally 2 hours after we ordered saying he was outside, um I don't think so... Only star is for the fact they are open until 4 am. Oh that's if they don't randomly decide to close earlier.

I came across this awesome late night gem by using the Foodler app while on the hunt for something to satisfy my vegan appetite at 1:30am on a weekday and let me say, I was surprised I even had 1 single option! After scouring their extensive menu, I landed on the Falafel Pita Wrap (I placed a discretionary note to make it vegan just to be safe) with a water bottle to make the delivery limit ($8 min). I received my order about an hour after ordering and it wasn't 5 minutes later that I ate the ENTIRE thing! Why am I shocked? Because I'm a tiny girl with a small appetite that can barely eat 3-4 ounces of fruit/vegetables in one sitting without getting extremely full. The pita wrap was absolutely delectable; crispy cabbage lettuce, perfectly combined pickles, banana peppers, tahini sauce, tomatoes and hummus. It was so good, I've already ordered 3 times in the same week! I'm giving it 4-stars for 2 reasons: the prices are higher on Foodler (in contrast to what they advertise on their menu directly on their website) so you're better off buying directly by calling them unless you want to amount some Foodler points (which takes forevers!) and I didn't get my free drink when I placed an order over $30 on Thirsty Thursday. All in all, I will definitely be buying from Big Tony's again.

We normally order from the local spots at the Salon and one day I joined on the lunch time list to the home of the gangsta wrap...well gangsta it was! I had the fat tony, which consisted of BBQ sauce on steak and cheese, French fries and mayo. It was like a explosion of flavor! The delivery was fast, the food was hot, and overall I would go back soon *runs to grab menu*

So the Greek salad was disappointing, but the pizza is excellent. We have quickly become regulars at Big Tony's and love their thin-crust, delicious pizza. The pizza is the best we've had since moving to Rhode Island. Great hours, free delivery--you can't ask for more than that.

Solid pizza and RELIABLE service. Two things that are almost impossible to co-exist for Providence pizza delivery. (Sorry for the frankness, but it's true). I have been really pleased with both their pizzas and salads. The pizza sauce is amazing and they do a great job with balancing the toppings. Generous without overdoing it. Great location with small indoor seating and outdoor setting when the weather permits. Staff is very friendly and accomadating. If you live in the area, I would suggest stopping in.

Got the Yelp! Deal of half off!! Way to go yelp! Great pizza, super filling, lots of toppings and cheese! Spinach pie is HUGE! Really good but could use some more cheese to balance out the amount of crust. Staff is super friendly and even gave me a 2 liter of coke on the house for waiting past the time they quoted me. (A little more than 7 minutes, lol) will be back!

I don't even know if the pizza is good because when I go here I get the Gangsta wraps baby! Get yourself a Lucky Luciano or the Donny Brasco and you'll be loving life. The wraps have different meats depending on the wrap and they have french fries and/or mozzarella sticks in there too... Thank you little baby Jesus from bringing these little gems into my world... PS there no more than six bucks...SHIBBY!!!

This place is close by our house so I had to write a review. I ordered a whole buffalo chicken pizza. I admit their toppings are fresh and tasty but I just can't overlook there crust. It taste just as bad as Dominos... Yep, cardboard. If I can, I would give this place 2.5 stars.

Big Tony's is one of those few places that is open up very late. However, I placed an order for a cheese pizza and the man said it would take 30-35 minutes for the delivery. It ends up being about an hour and a half long wait. I also had to call in about 4 times to ask about the order. I understand that they will have lots of orders to make and deliver but at least be honest about delivery time. Pizza is decent, came in warmish, not hot enough though. Three stars for actually delivering at 4:30am on a Saturday night. Probably will not order anything from them again. Maybe another shot.

I've given Big Tony's a few tries and I won't be going back. The first time I had it I walked in and ordered a wrap. While I will admit the wrap tasted good, it was overpriced and it was very small. They also got the order wrong and when I asked about it the staff was rude. The second time I had it delivered and I tried a pizza. It was bland, the dough was rubbery and the sauce was just bad.

I wasn't to keen on going to this restaurant after seeing the commercial on tv however if cheesiness ever mattered; it's at this pizza place where it matters most. This week alone my boyfriend (who is a pizza and sandwich aficionado) went to Big Tony's twice; first for pizza and then for a calzone. He was highly impressed so he dragged me there today. So here is my 360 on the place. Convenient location, right in the Elmhurst neighborhood so even on North Providence it's basically a hop and skip! The ambience definately matches the name; and whist it is a pizza place, after reading some of the gangster decor, it's quite interesting! The menu is overwhelmed with choices and tying to read off the board is overwhelming but the staff at the counter seem to sense that and offered a takeout menu to simplify my life, without even asking. We both ordered tuna subs and fries. The were excellent sandwiches, the lettuce was absolutely crisp and the there was a ton of tuna, so much you need silverware to eat it all. Not too much mayo either, which is a lucky draw for someone who fears a plethora of shiny egg white and vinegar concoctions! And I have to add, those sandwiches came fast! Bravo! The only knock I can put on the place were the fries. The fries were the basic run-of-the-mill restaurant depot fries. If they wanted to lure folks back they'd be better suited to have hand cut potato fries, not those crappy fries that most RI restaurants offer. Nasty! Otherwise, I would absolutely go here any time for food. Delish!

Since my last post I've grown to become a huge fan of Big Tony. My house orders from them atleast once or twice a week/every two weeks. I totally dig the Itchy Fingers Zambino gangster wrap (chicken cutlet, honey mustard, lettuce, and tomato) and their cheese pizza is pretty damn good too. Definitely something you can't refuse. Love the gooeyness of the cheese and hearty crust and the different variety of topings/styles of the pizzas. I also dig the pizza grease -- not too greasy but just enough to give it flavor. You gotta have grease with pizza otherwise it ain't happening. I'm not really a fan for thin pizza but Big Tony is an exception. The onion rings ain't bad either, neither are the seasoned steak fries with cheese and bacon. Sound good to you? Then I suggest you dial the digits with the four bullets at the end. Capiche?

I have never experienced such awful service from a take out restaurant before. I have ordered from many places and nothing like this has ever happened. So it all started off well and good withme placing my order for a large cheeseburger sub and a large steak and cheese sub with extra cheese. I waited the 30 minutes they said that it would take to deliver. It did take about 45 minutes to actually get the food. Which I understand happens sometimes and was willing to over look the additional 15 minute delay. So finally with food in hand I opened my steak and cheese sub with extra cheese on it. Mind you I had paid for the extra cheese without hesitation when they told me I would be charged extra for it. When I opened the sub from the wrapper I was kind of surprised to not see any cheese. But I thought maybe it was just underneath all the shaved steak pieces. I lifted it up but didn't really see any cheese. I then took a couple of bites and realized that they had barely put any cheese on it and not only that but had melted it into the bread. This to me was not a steak and cheese and it left the shave steak pieces dry and extremely bland tasting. I then pulled apart my sandwich to see if I could see if they had put any more than a slice of cheese on each side of the large sub, but they hadn't. At this point I was mad and hungry and just wanted cheese on my steak and cheese. I could even live without it being extra cheesy. I then called to speak with someone about my issue. They were extremely rude when I called. I explained to them I had paid for extra cheese and there was barely at all on the sub. I was then told they would send a new sub with another driver but that it would take about 20 minutes. I said fine and that I would give back the bad sub to the driver. I then got a call back about 10 minutes later from someone who told me he was the manager and stated that they made the sub right the first time and that they wouldn't be sending me out a new one. I was extremely confused as the last person I spoke with had told me that they would be sending me a new sub. I was then told by the 'manager' that had called me back that that person was new and had told me the wrong information. I then expressed my issue again and explained that not only the sub come with hardly any cheese but I had paid for extra cheese. He told me that they made the sub correct but if I brought the sub in he would look at it and possibly, but he couldn't guarantee before seeing the sub. At this point I was enraged that this was the quality of service I was receiving. Finally my offer from the manager was to have him send out a driver with slices of cheese but I would have to tip the driver for the delivery. I at this point threw out a few choice expletives at the manager on the phone and told him I would never be ordering from them again and hung up. I will in fact never be ordering from Big Tony's again and recommend you don't either. There quality and service has been the worse that I have received in a very long time.

This place is close to my house and has decent pizza for a takeout joint. The fried ravioli is delicios and the greeek salad is full of feta goodness! I have tried a couple of the sanwiches, the hanburger sub and steak and cheese. The steak and cheese was not my favorite, but the other one was pretty good.

I usually go here a lot because the place is cheap and local. The food is usually dry and old but I accept it because of its convenience. The last time I went, however, there was an entire CLUMP OF HAIR in my food. That is it. I will never go here again. I am getting nauseous just thinking about it.

Ambiance was pretty bad, which is not really what we went there for. The food, also bad. We had a chicken parm sub (cold and out of a box - probably), garlic knots (also very cold), and and pizza which was really bad as well. We looked for red pepper and they directed us to a "spice packet" that was disgusting. When we asked to have the garlic knots re-heated they looked at us like we were crazy, I just ate the sandwich so I didn't have to interact with the staff anymore... It really seeems like everything came directly out of a box or can (sauce horrible). Not a great dine-in experience. Might be fine for 4am last minute drunk pizza, but stay away from this is you are looking for anything other than that!

Oh Big Tony's ... how silly you are. If you have never been, there whole schtick is some sort of Italian Gangster paradise. All of the sandwiches have names borrowed from Mob all stars like Capone and the likes... they have stickers of Wise Guys and bullet holes all over... its a little tacky if you as me... and if you are reading this review, then you kind of did. That being said, Big Tony's is my go to pizza place in NP. They offer a hand tossed pizza with medium thickness crust.. with a good amount of topping choices and some interesting specialties. One of my favorites is the Buffalo Chicken with tons of fresh grilled chicken, bacon, blue cheese, hot sauce and mozzarella... so good. i have also had there steak and cheese and greek salad, as well as a bunch of different pizzas and it has all been good. The place is clean, the staff for the most part is friendly and courteous... and they deliver until like 3 AM...you can't beat that. Prices aren't bad either.. So if you can get through all the faux gangsta propaganda... you are in store for a decent pizza.

We live in the neighborhood. When we saw Big Tony's open we were excited to try it out. From the first pizza to the pizza last week we are hooked! The food is always hot and tasty. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. My daughter loves the chicken parm grinder and I can't get enough hot wings! We have tried almost everything on the menu! It is all good. My teenage son likes the themed wraps. They are very convenient and accommodating. We usually pick up our food and we are greeted with warm welcomes everytime! I love the decor very "gansta" like and fun.

Big Tony's Pizza is a FANTASTIC Restaurant. I HIGHLY Recommend if you are looking to satisfy a craving and eat some delicious food (& I am a picky person when it comes to food). Everything is made FRESH and ready per order. This is the ONLY Pizza place I go to when I am in Providence (I Absolutely LOVE everything on the menu... especially the wraps & pizza). Restaurant is very clean and I LOVE the creative Gangster Theme. GREAT Food + AWESOME Service = SATISFIED Customer!! =) Thank you to Big Tony's staff for always going Above and Beyond in making my experience satisfying!!!!!

My man and I decided to give Big Tony's a shot since we received their menu in the mail. We went a little off the beaten path with our selections: I ordered the falafel dinner and my man got the Specialty Pasta which was chicken, broccoli alfredo with ziti or penne. We had the food delivered. We live just over 2 miles away. The food was delivered in just under 30 minutes, which is probably the best thing I can say about our entire experience. Well that, and the prices seemed very reasonable. The food was pretty horrible. It wasn't completely inedible, but it was really lousy. My falafels were over-cooked, dry, and crumbly. The rice that came with the dinner was completely bland and kind of.... crunchy. Not what you'd expect from rice. I ate one bite of it and then decided I wouldn't have any more. The hummus was actually kind of good in that it was really garlicky, but with every third bite or so, I got the faintest hint of moldiness. Yeah, awesome. It came with a small side salad that was OK except for it being grossly over-dressed. There was enough dressing on it for a salad at least 3 times the size. Finally, the dinner also came with a pita pocket that was stale. As far as my man's dinner was concerned: it arrived just barely luke-warm. His pasta was over-cooked to the point of mushiness and the sauce was totally bland. The chicken was flavorless and dry. Needless to say, Big Tony's menu has been retired to the recycle bin and we not only will avoid ordering from them again, we would discourage anyone from wasting their money and time on this unfortunate excuse for a restaurant as well. Perhaps their pizza is good? The food we ordered tonight was bad enough that we won't even give the pizza a chance. It was clear that whoever was cooking there tonight doesn't have very high standards. Sorry, Big Tony's. We really wanted to like you.

I gave these guys another chance this past weekend. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. It would have been a decent pie except the chicken was like rubber. The flavors were great and I liked the fact they put a little bacon on it. Everything is better with bacon. I just cannot excuse serving wayyyy over cooked chicken. All set with this place.

Apparently today is the day of fail pizza. Ordered fail pizza from papa john's, and while this pizza is edible, it really is meh. We ordered 2 pizzas...1 with mushrooms and spinach, and 1 with hamburger. On their website they have "meatball" and "hamburger" pizza. Well apparently "hamburger" pizza is sliced meatballs on a pizza. FAIL. It is NOT the same. We took 2 bites of it and gave it to our downstairs neighbor. The other pizza? The mushrooms were undercooked but at least this pizza had flavor...the cheese, dough, and sauce were pretty good. Would I order from again? Meh.

Against my better judgement after ordering from here before and only getting a mediocre salad, but i figure that's my fault for getting a salad at a pizza place, my boyfriend and i decided to give Big Tony's another try. NEVER again. I ordered a meatball sandwhich and he got an buffalo calzone. I could've been eating a sponge covered in dirt and it would've had more flavor. The meatballs were moist but so insanely bland I found it hard to believe it was real meat inside, literally it had zero flavor, and i thought, "hm, well at least teh sauce will give it some flavor" but i was wrong it was like having bland tomato juice. Sadly this is not the meatball sandwhich i would hope to get from an "italian" place. My boyfriend said his calzone was ok but he's had way better.

So this review is really on behalf of my husband... he is OBSESSED with their Buffalo Chicken Pizza. I enjoy their food a great deal, but am overly picky about pizza. I consider this good take-out pizza. I'm from New York and have high standards. I just haven't found a place in RI that I'm in love with. However, given my husband's love for it, this is the only place we get pizza from!

I LOVE Big Tony's pizza. It's delicious! I've ordered a salad once, and I wouldn't order one again as it wasn't the best item on the menu they have to offer. The subs are good but their Greek pizza is the best. The crust is cripsy and thin, but not too thin. The staff is funny, helpful and always in good spirits. I love this place!

Nice pizza/sub/Greek stop situated in between RIC & PC right across the street from Lasalle. Everything I've had has been good (Italian Sub, Chicken Parm, Steak Tips). They have specialty wraps with a gangster theme.

I have eaten here a number of times. Sometimes at 3 in the am and other times for lunch. One thing I can say is the quality is the same no matter what time you eat here. During the winter after snowboarding trips I would call ahead and order a small pizza for about $12, with peppers and pepperoni which would be just enough, with maybe even a slice or two left over. The pizza is good with a nice thin crust that doesn't flop over when picked up. The cheese is never greasy like some places. I do wish they had some healthy options such as wheat crust or low fat cheese. The "gangsta wraps" are first-class! I have order the Al Capone which is grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato and bacon on a wheat wrap many times. They also offer the wraps on tomato, white, and spinach. The ingredients are always fresh and you get a good sized wrap for $6.50. They have plenty of drinks to choose from, but there is no beer or wine served. The inside is clean and there are about 8 tables for eating along with a bathroom. Outside they have 2 tables set up with umbrellas for outdoor dining in the summer time. Over all the ingredients are fresh, the service is fast, and the prices are reasonable. They are also the only place I know of open until 4am every night, without driving to NYC. I will def be ordering from here again.

Lots of things to chose from. They have great wraps and subs and the pizza is just the type I like, more like Greek than Italian, so tasty. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have gotten from them. They also have great very late hours (4 am!) they deliver, always on time and a courtesy call before they get to the door. a great new find for me!

Best pizza I've had in Providence. Love the thin Italian New York style crust. The Chicken Cesar wrap and Chicken Cutlet is nothing special but you don't go here for that.

Best thing about ordering from here: the delivery was FAST. It took about 25 minutes for my pizza and salad to arrive. Cheese pizza: non-descript; nothing outstanding in either a pro or con direction Greek salad: I'll go with fresh ingredients for the pros. Cons, well... black olives instead of kalamata, white onion instead of red, egg - EGG??? that's a first. And they forgot my pita bread - pppbbbtttttttttt. Baklava: Pretty durn good. The final vote: Pretty good for Providence delivery.

Had some wings and calzones from there. Good wings - not crispy, but lots of flavor. The calzones were good - lots of fillings and they have a good marinara. Great local place - not worth going out of your way for, but a good choice if you live nearby.

Honestly i waited 45 min for me food which isnt to bad but you cant even bring it to my door? i have to walk outside my house to ur car across the street down 2 houses I think if you deserve a tip you could at least bring it to my door. I live in a nice upscale loft building which i buz a food delivery driver into. I had to put a shoe in the front door so i could even get back inside, i mean come on. Also the guy was like what did you order while im standing out there with no shoes on. He goes through his car looking for what i got then i go wheres the french fries? he says you got French fries? I said yea he goes well "there aint any french fries" then precedes to say you didnt pay for them so its ok. like i shouldnt be pissed cause i didnt pay for them cause i just waited 45 min for my food which aparently i didnt get. The girl on the phone repeated the order to me and i heard french fries....i dunno overall DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! much better places open till 4am I'm left with thinking why did i try this place and not stick with what i normally do. wait i came back to edit this because i jsut realized I DIDNT GET MY SIDE OF RANCH FOR MY BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA!!!!! I think we all know that fucking feeling!

I've had some things from here before and it's been alright. But my eats there last week made me hit breaking point in a most unfortunate way. I ordered a meatball sub for lunch, simple, quick to snack on while I continued work. What I was not expecting was without a doubt the worst meatball sub I've ever had in any state, any city. Little to no sauce yet my bun was still soggy, and still some pink meat in the meatball. The meatballs while impressive in size, had no flavor at all whatsoever. By far one of the most dissapointing ANYTHING I've had in a long time. If I could give a negative star, I would, but since I've had decent food from here before, I will up it to 2 stars. Consider the menu in my desk officially thrown away.

Big Tony's is usually one of the better take-out experiences for the college kids. I usually enjoy their food and the service is usually reliable. This one night sucked for my roommate and I. It is finals week and my roommate and I are hungry. The person who answered the phone told me that they were slammed that night for deliveries so it would have been longer than usual. We put in our order of two steak and cheese which was supposed to be between 30-45 minutes. After and hour and a half of waiting I call in and they told me that had delivered it already. I had received no phone call from the driver, so how can he delver it to me? So some random person stole our food (I had paid with a debit card). BT was kind enough to put another order in for us but it took another usual 30-45 minutes. No tip for the driver! Prob might not order from them in the near future. Found this other pizza place nearby that just opened up on Douglas. Check them out.
