5 stars should be extremely hard to get, nearly impossible actually, but this place deserves every single one! This is the real deal Italian. Fresh is the key word when describing anything here. Great food and super friendly people. Worth every cent! Do yourself a favor and discover this place.

We were originally planning to go to a seafood restaurant, but it was closed. So, we looked at some reviews and saw this place had 5 stars and decided to check it out. Being huge into pasta, I was overwhelmed by the choices of sauces and meats, and heck, even the pasta. I went with the fettuccine carbonara with garlic shrimp. It was sublime. The sauce, pasta, and shrimp were all so fresh and flavorful. This reminds me of some of the best restaurants in the North End or Philly and it's half the price. Get the pasta. You'll love it

Freshest tasting linguini as fresh as any place in Italia and gnocchi as delicious and melts in your mouth as good if not better then the best we ever had in Rome!!! This is a FIND and the lines should be out the door!!! Maybe they are in some nights!! Soooo happy we found Fatigati!!!!

Wow if you haven't tried this place stop what you are doing and go! It is more take out and catering but they also have a few tables. We have never had more delicious pasta than we did here. The pasta was literally cut fresh right there!! The pappardelle and rigatoni was cooked to perfection and the bolognese and carbonara were amazing. Meatballs are so good! Try this place!

We happened upon this deli and am so glad we did! We watched the pasta, Alfredo sauce and meatballs made to order. To say the food was delicious is a huge under statement. Wish it was closer to home.

I was in Italy 2 months ago and I can tell now what is real delicious Italian food, nothing compared to what I have eaten in Rhode Island except for this place, the food is outstanding, felt like being in Bella Italia... I highly recommend this place :)

Had a chance to try Fatigati's. We ordered several of the fresh pastas along with the pesto and bolognese sauces. We also tried the saltimbocca meatballs. Great food enjoyed by the whole family. The owner was a great host while they made our order on the spot. A great treasure in Portsmouth, ri for sure. It's worth a stop!

I am a huge fan of this awesome take out business . If you haven't tried it you must! I order a few times a week and I haven't experienced a unsatisfactory meal yet. I recommend anything on the menu . The rosemary chicken over linguine is a favorite of mine! Sandwiches are excellent and well priced. Gregg is always inviting, talkative. Try it you'll love it

The owner takes the time to know his customers and the time to make things the right way! Great Pasta!!

This relatively new addition to the north end of town is FANTASTIC!!! All pasta is hand made on site, as are the sauces and other elements! This place is seriously good eating, either on site at one of the 3 or 4 tables available, or more likely as take-out. you can get your selection cooked fresh while you wait, or grab-and-go from the ready-made dishes in the cooler. Lots of options for some great food. Highly recommended!!

I tried Fatigati out shortly after they first opened and, honestly, was NOT impressed. We bought some pre-prepared entrees that just weren't well done; the chicken was overcooked and overbreaded and the entire entrée was dry and uninteresting. However, after reading some of the reviews others had for the place and being someone who wants to support local businesses, I gave Fatigati another chance recently and I'm glad I did. I picked up a capicola and cheese sandwich for my parents and an eggplant parmagiana for my wife and I to split. In short, our eggplant was well-prepared and simply excellent (and my parents had equally good things to say about their sandwich). On the "minus" side, as much as I liked the food, the place does seem a bit confused For example, there's a prepared food section with a shipping pallet right in the middle, with bottles of sparkling water still in the bulk shipping wrap...and the owner...well, let's just say he can be a little off-putting. There have been a lot of businesses on the site that Fatigati sits in now and I hope Fatigati can demonstrate a longer lifespan than those businesses. They get a whole lot more right than they get wrong and it's wonderful to have a local shop making good fresh pasta. We certainly plan to keep coming back!

We had them cater our party. We ordered the parmigiana meatballs and the orecchiette, sausage, and broccoli rabe. Both dishes were excellent. The price was reasonable and the quantity was great we had 11 people and they all had plenty to eat and best of all we had leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day!

Oh my goodness! I love this place soooo much! My son goes to preschool at the Montessori preschool nearby and I go here at least once a week. At first I just used to buy the fresh pasta to take home and cook for the kids but then I started buying their ravioli and gnocchi and now I am hooked on their sandwiches. The caprese and the shrimp roll are my favorites. Seriously, this place can not be beat for good food!

The only true Italian pasta and sandwich shop between south of Federal Hill. Am hoping for an expansion to include more sandwiches, deli items and other Italian favorites. If you're seeking real pasta on the island, look nowhere else.

Who knew a place this sophisticated would be exactly a mile from my house. I doubt places like this even exist in the North end of Boston... Or even in real Italy! I was looking over the menu for a solid month before I came in.. and finally I had to just try it. Inside, the decor is kind of just thrown together... nothing too unique but, with take home options of Italian pasta/baked goods. You can sit in for lunch, But I wouldn't recommend planning to eat dinner here. This place is GREAT for take/out or catering. I ordered tomato and basil fettucine with an alfredo sauce. I was completely take back by what happened next.. They took out their pasta machine, and cut the pasta in front of me, on their pasta dough. When I asked for a little more... they cut more. It is unbelievable... you cannot get fresher then this. Next up, was my sauce.. which they made right in front of me. Literally. All of this is less than 10 minutes. Granted if there was a line, it probably would be slow, but for stopping by on my way home from work and getting fresh pasta, and fresh sauce in less than 10 minutes... I have no words to my pleasure from this. They also offer bread that is freshly baked... which I ate while I was waiting for my sauce. Afterwards, you bring the pasta home.. put it in water for 3 minutes. By the time that is done, your sauce is still hot and you have a delicious meal. Overall the pasta was definitely 5 stars, and the alfredo sauce was probably a 3. It was really thick and heavy, and had too much cream for my liking. If you do catering here, you can bring your own dish and they make your food in it... so it looks like you cooked it (or so it isnt in a tin dish!). Also, if you are in a rush, or if you go in for lunch.. they have pre-made food so you don't have to cook it at your house! My only complaint would be the owner was a little standoffish/unfriendly when I was trying to talk to them during my wait. I understand your busy since you are cooking the food for us, but the most important part to a successful restaurant is maintaining a happy and welcoming environment.

Fantastic fresh pasta and sauces. The best gnocchi I've ever had (Spinach and ricotta gnocchi). Three cheese sauce is really cheesy, thick, and delicious. Family portions are more than generous. The people that work there are extremely nice and helpful.

The pasta was outstanding! I think we paid $45 and got like 5 meals out of this. The pasta tasted like something you would get in federal hill on a Friday night and the guys service on the phone and in person was some of the best service on the island. I wish I wasn't constantly dieting because I would totally pig out here more often. Can't wait for another girl/carb party !

Ate in and it was amazing. Fresh, fast, and delicious. I will be making many trips back here. You can create your own dish and have it any way you want it. Simply amazing.

What a great takeout option for the island! The owner and the staff are extremely helpful, knowledgable, and friendly and the food is delicious. Everything, including the pasta, is homemade. We had the bolognese sauce and a scallop special and both were delicious. The portions are a great size - we got the individual size in both and had plenty of left overs for the following day. They also have family size portions, so a perfect option for an easy/quick weeknight dinner that you can grab on the way home. Highly recommend!

Discovered Fatigati's when going next door for a bottle of wine. The pasta, and the sauces, are absolutely amazing. The portions are generous, and the taste and quality are the best. Easily better than any restaurant I've been to, including Providence ones (including Al Forno). The chef is definitely passionate about his food. I've always done the take out, and in fact I'm picking up some for dinner tonight.

I was so excited when I saw a fresh pasta shop opening in Portsmouth. As soon as they opened and I tried the product I was hooked. I always buy their fresh pasta to bring home and cook.. My kids love it and I feel good that I am not putting boxed processed food in their bodies. There is nothing like fresh pasta! And their carbonara is to die for. Everything I have tried there is amazing! And you can get take out meals for your family for moms that have way to much gong on to make a 5 star healthy meal from scratch every night. I am ordering a lasagna for dinner tonight.. The owner is very nice and takes great time making sure he pleases each and every customer. Yes I am a huge fan. Oh and the bread there is amazing as well. I think the owner told me he gets. It from a bakery in manhattan YUM! Prices are great and really for the quality of the product you are going to be pleasantly surprised at the pricing....

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
