It's Ben and Jerry's much loved ice cream at a store-front location in Newport. I don't think I need to say too much about the ice cream - it is all so creamy and good! I got a cone with a recipe that included just about everything. We bought our cones and took them to the pier next door and watched the boats come and go into the arena. They give decently generous portions, and the waffle cones are delicious! This was my first Ben and Jerry's storefront experience; I usually get pints and binge at home :). If you are walking around Newport and stumble across this place, I can say I recommend stopping in for a tasty treat!

I will always have a soft spot for anything from Vermont, after all the best things come from there. It is perfectly fine to stop in here for a sweet treat, it is also perfectly fine if you don't. If you like Ben and Jerry's this is just as good as any other, nothing to reccomend it, nothing to avoid. You know you want it, or you don't. It's ice cream lets not get crazy here.

Ben and Jerry's, one of the greatest ice cream shops of all time. This was a great time going to get a quick snack. I got a chocolate mint shake and it was AMAZING! The thing that really takes the shit out of your ass is the prices. I felt like I was a Disneyland buying a 3 inch hotdog for $10.95. Overall a great environment with a great smell right when you walk in the creamery. Very delicious and a wide spread menu of ice creams, shakes, and sundaes to choose from.

It's pretty much what you expect from a Ben and Jerry's location. Lots of great flavors, and they seem to stay open later than some of the other shops and restaurants around Thames Street. The employee who served us was very friendly and helpful.

Phish food! Yum yum :-D My favorite! Ben & Jerry's is home to the ultimate of all ice cream flavors. From Cherry Garcia to Chunky Monkey, Half Baked to Turtle Soup. Each flavor is a trip in its own, creamy, delicious, and mouth-watering! I only wish I could visit here more often! My only gripe about this Ben & Jerry's location is the lack of indoor seating (like Tu D. mentioned). This shop functions mostly as an ice cream stand, a quick in and out for your ice cream pleasure! Unfortunately, the last time I visited was around 9 pm on a dark stormy night. My friends and I ran to the shop, bought our ice cream. . . then realized we had nowhere to go with it. Thankfully there was a small roofed area nearby where we huddled and devoured our tasty treats before attempting to dodge raindrops to the next location. The people that work here are great! Very helpful in choosing between the plethora of flavors, toppings, and cones/sundaes. Joking and dancing, singing and scooping. Your experience here is bound to be an entertaining one!

Now, I've had Ben and Jerry's ice cream before. (Er... obviously, I'm reviewing the effing shop). But no, I mean, I'd had it before I went to the shop. But it was out of a carton. And it was from a supermarket. In England, if you can imagine that. The stuff it must have gone through to get to my spoon must have been horrendous. Still tasted OK. OK enough to come here when I was in Newport. My word it's different, isn't it? The amount of flavors was staggering. I had a real hard time choosing. And that was before I decided what to get it in. I went for the chocolate-coated waffle cone with chocolate chip and cookie dough vanilla ice cream. It was more of a mouthful to eat than it was to say, I can tell you. And even more delicious. Worth every cent. Unlike Tu D, I had a much-needed napkin. Which easily passes it for four stars.

Someone needs to smack the owners on the back of the head. Teach people working there about customer service. I will even go so far to e-mail corporate about this. Two punks working in the store need to: 1. Pull up their pants. Not in the mood to see Kris Kross lookin' honkeys showin' off their underwear where the food is served. 2. Where the hell is the attitude from? They are treating every customer like their are doing them a favor. 3. With that shitty of the service, why are there 3 (yes, count them THREE) tip jars? I love Ben & Jerry's, but this store is not going to see my return business.

This was a great experience in b&j. Ice cream is ice cream, but the difference was Brian. It was a Tuesday night around 930pm on Thames st and not very many people walking around. He was very inviting and offer some suggestions. I walked out very happy with my selection. Go Brian!

We visited this ice cream shop on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in May. So happy we found this hidden jem...the staff was extremely friendly and courteous! We hung out on the wharf while our 4-year old son chatted up a storm with the employees with his ice cream in-hand. This is the type of place to get ice cream and keep strolling to enjoy the sights (no seating). Look forward to going back!

You're typical Ben & Jerry's. Good, COLD, ice cream. But this place has no place to sit after you've ordered. Have you ever seen a 3 yr old and a 4 yr old eat ice cream while standing? It would have been nice to have a place to sit so they could feed themselves. And they were out of napkins. what a mess!
